Donald Trump and Ben Carson shaft GOP debate viewers

Donald Trump and Ben Carson's successful demand that CNBC's Oct. 28 Republican primary debate be limited to two hours shafts viewers who want to hear more because they haven't made up their minds. Or anyone else who wants to watch.

The two frontrunners in the pre-convention polls asserted that they were doing  viewers a favor because who wants to watch more than three hours of debate.

I'd expect such transparent lunacy from Donald Trump because just about everything that comes out of his mouth is stupid. That Carson joined in this ridiculous demand is surprising. And reveals that Carson either isn't as smart as he appears or is too likely to follow ridiculous advice.

Will someone explain to these two that viewers that don't want to watch more than two hours can simply turn off the damn thing.

Any voter who wants to know more about the candidates can visit their extensive web pages, and get all the info they want. Only the most marginal of GOP candidates want to see another version of the Bataan Death March that the first debate turned into. Jindal, Graham, Gilmore, Huckabee and the other wannabes are hoping to salvage their ineffective campaigns with the hope that one of the leaders will stumble around the the 150th minute of a CNBC-moderated (there's an oxymoron for you) debate. Trump and Carson showed wisdom as well as political savvy in refusing to kowtow to CNBC.
