Play golf without walking or riding

It used to be that you either walked (healthy) or rode in a cart (us old guys) when you play golf. But here's a middle ground: The GolfBoard. It's kind of a cross between a Segway, surf board and skate board.  The video explains it all, but you have to hunt to find the price--a mere $6,500, according to one website. Yikes.  Well, if it gets dawdlers to play faster,  might be worth it.

  • "Golf is a good walk spoiled." Mark Twain

  • Yes, I was thinking of that quote and wondered how Mark Twain would say something similar today. Golf is a good ride spoiled? I couldn't come close to topping his first effort, so I let it pass.

  • Well, I like the "good ride" version in this case. After all, riders have to get off to do the golfing!
