Unions back Dillard to stop Rauner and to punish Quinn and Madigan?

Is it possible that the public employe union lobbies are backing Kirk Dillard for the Republican nomination for governor and, if he wins, they'll sit out the general election to let the "chips fall where they may?"

That's the thrust of the story in Illinois Review. Strange bedfellow they'd make, but stranger things have happened in Illinois politics.

  • Regardless of who shares the blame, public pension debt will take down this state, it will take down Chicago. It must be reformed. Higher taxes will not help.

The union VIP's have only their own interests in mind, not the general populous, not Illinois. If they vote one way then vote the other.
