Iraq? Vietnam? Afghanistan?
Wrong, wrong, wrong. It was the War of 1812. If you want to know why--and who doesn't?--mark this Saturday, Jan. 26 to hear why. I'll be at Centuries & Sleuths Bookstore in Park Forest, to discuss, "America's most screwed-up war."
You might think that you'd have to go a long way to beat Vietnam and Iraq as the worst war, but a loss in either of those didn't threaten America's very existence. In neither did America take on the world's mosts powerful nation whose military was 100 times stronger than America's. Just a couple of decades after the adoption of the Constitution and the creation of a United States of America, the country could have been torn apart and the world could have changed in terrifying ways.
I'll be available to sign my historical novel, Madness: The War of 1812, (at a big discount over the price put on the book by Tate Publishing.) Hope to see you there.
Saturday, January 26 from 2:00 PMto 4:00 PM
