In defense of name-calling

Recently I was taken to task by a reader for saying that there's too much apologizing going on. The constant, nerve-raking demands for apologies stifles debate and diverts attention from real issues.  Now comes a commentary with a similar viewpoint: Name calling might be appropriate when someone's behavior is worthy putting a name or a label on it. A worthwhile read that will annoy the pure-hearted on the left.
