Top gold-platted pensions for retired government workers in suburban Cook County

Undoubtedly, they worked really, really hard, and spent many, many years loyally serving the public. But because they work for you, I thought you might be interested in what they're being paid in retirement. And what their salaries were bumped up to in their last year of service to reap a higher pension payment.

Just to give you a taste, the highest paid pension goes to Laura Murrray, formerly of Homewood-Flossmoor CHSD 233, whose annual pension is $238,882 -- $19,907 a month.
