Show the real U.S. House to Americans

C-SPAN, the official telecasters of Congress, has again asked for permission to show more than staged speeches. The public is entitled to view more than a talking head in floor sessions, committee meetings and elsewhere. House rules now prohibit views of what really is happening. 

Below is a link to the letter that C-SPAN has sent to incoming House Speaker John Boehner requesting permission for expanded coverage. Similar letters have been sent to previous speakers of both parties, to no avail.

  • Looking at the link, it appeared that they were more concerned in getting a reaction shot than alleging that anything was being left out in the substance of the debate.

    In that the camera is not showing that Rep. whoever is sleeping or is violating the ethics rules, I don't think much is being lost.
