Obama administration to quash college internships?

I"m Barack Obama and I'm here to help you. One of the things I'm going to do for your is terminate your college internship that helps you gain valuable experience and beef up your resume. Or if not choke it off with new regulations make it harder for you to find one.

I'm doing this because I've decided that you're being exploited, made to work for little or no money and without benefits. We're going to make sure that you get paid what you're worth and if that means that you won't have an internship on your resume to show your future employers after you graduate, well, I've done you a favor.
I'm not making this up. This is the drift of this story. This hasn't actually happened--yet. But statements and actions by the Obama administration have bothered a group of university presidents enough to write to the Labor Department to express concern that motivate employers to simply drop their internship programs.
