Why aren't you out smoking pot...

instead of writing a book about the tea party protests? That's what Jon Stewart jokingly asked a 20-something John O'Hara, who wrote a book, "The New American Tea Party: The Counterrevolution Against Bailouts, Handouts, Reckless Spending and More taxes."

I suspect that anyone as young as O'Hara who is conservative comes as a surprise to Stewart and others who always presume that young people always have to liberal. Before being corrupted by--what?--old age.

O'Hare is the vice president of external relations for the Illinois Policy Institute, "free-market and liberty-based" research and advocacy group. If you think that the Institute is a bunch of OFs, you've got another think coming. The Institute attracts bright, energetic and young people by its creative and thoughtful problem solving.
