Alexi Giannoulias, dead man walking? (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Giannoulias: White House backs me.

MSMBC raised that question, because of the Democratic senate nominee's problems with his family bank. (Taxpayers could end up holding the bag while he and his family walk away with millions from the failing bank.) Here are updates (at the bottom.)

Meanwhile, Carol Marin at the Sun-Times predicts that the pressure will be applied to Giannoulias to drop out of the race. That wasn't much of a tough prediction if Giannoulias spoke with Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel during his visit Tuesday to the White House. My only question is whether Emanuel was in the nude when he had his little chat with Giannoulias.
