A "Lost" revelation

The Garden of Eden and the Fall of Man, c.1610-12, by Jan Brueghel the Elder

I've figured out that the island in the ABC series "Lost," is the Garden of Eden. Where else does a snake (figuratively) show up and offer someone whatever he wants--as long as the tempted goes with the tempter.
Hey, it's as good of an idea as any of the others showing up on message boards, posted by devoted viewers who believe they've got this years-long tease figured out. I confess, I don't. Probably because every story is supposed to have a beginning, middle and end. This story had a beginning, but the middle turned into a swamp and whatever ending they concoct is likely too simple to be believable or too complicated to be understood. We'll end up having to construct our own ending, like with the "Sopranos."
And this is from someone who has watched every episode since it debuted.
