Democrats are stuck with Cohen

The Tribune reports:

The Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor issued a statement
today saying he has no intention of dropping out of the race, just hours
after Gov. Pat Quinn said the Chicago pawnbroker should consider
stepping aside for the good of the party's ticket.

Scott Lee Cohen said he wants his ex-girlfriend to talk about her
prior complaint against him, which resulted in his 2005 arrest.

Who is this guy, anyway? And why did none of this information emerge before the primary?
