What Americans like about the health care plan

Why not just include these provisions in the health care plan, instead of throwing in everything goofy idea that ever crossed the minds of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid?

Now here's something that Americans like that isn't in the health care plan:

One popular reform that's not included in the proposals before Congress
is tort reform. Fifty-seven percent (57%) of voters nationwide favor
limiting the amount of money a jury can award a plaintiff in a medical malpractice lawsuit. A plurality (47%) believes restricting jury awards for medical malpractice lawsuits will significantly reduce the cost of health care in the United States.

  • Also liked by Americans, and missing from the legislation, is a public option - which is critical to creating real competition that would hold down costs.
