United Airlines to city: Still "no" to more runways

As predicted years ago by O'Hare expansion opponents, the funding for Phase 2 of O'Hare Airport expansion remains, at best, in doubt. Crain's reports that United Airlines, although it "likes runways," still isn't agreeing to funding the completion of the O'Hare Modernization Program, even as the city continues to tout it. Without the funding, all those homes that Chicago now owns and plans to demolish in Bensenville didn't have to go.
