Tiger Woods' statement, apology + alleged girl friends

If he cheated on his family, he's scum. But let's not forget that his wife and two small children are involved. I agree with his statement. For those who prefer pictures to text, I'll get to the heart of the his statement:

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures
can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the
right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are
some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy
is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within
one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and
problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

For those who can't read, here are some pictures:

  • I think he's nuts to fool around with a wife like Elin. But, from the gist of his apology, I think he did. Hitting a tree and a fire hydrant is a long way from being "embarrassing to my family".

However, he is entitled to his privacy, but because of who he is, he's not going to get it. The only way he'll have any luck is to tell the organizers of the Masters and US Open that he will not play unless they call off the media dogs. This, and those bozos who got into the White House are all one sees on TV these days. Thank God for books.

By the way, if he wants to dump either Elin or his girl friend, have them give me a call. My wife might not like it, but I could become a Mormon and then it would be legal (which is why I was rooting for Mitt Romney for President).
