Sit there like Puddy

puddy.jpgThe latest rules for flying brought on by the botched Christmas terrorist who tried to blow up an international flight to Detroit reminded me of a Seinfeld episode. The new rules require all passengers to stay in their seats for the hour before landing and not have anything on their laps.

Switch now to the episode in which Elaine and Puddy are returning from (as I recall) Europe. Elaine is flabbergasted that Puddy just sits there: doesn't read, doesn't nap, doesn't listen to music, doesn't work on a laptop or watch the movie. Just sits there staring straight ahead. Like a zombie.
I'm flying out of Chicago on Jan. 7 and I can't wait for my turn as Puddy. Can you imagine an airplane with a Puddy in every seat? Horrifying!
