2013 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Combine 3-Round Edition

2013 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Combine 3-Round Edition
Last weekend the annual NFL Combine took place in Indianapolis. A bunch of grumpy old men wandered around a field watching kids take the test of their lives, knowing that social media was going to either anoint them the next king of the NFL or, in the case of Manti Te’o, continue writing them off.... 2013 NFL Mock Draft: 2 Round Regular Season Final

1. Kansas City Chiefs - Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
What is clear is the desperate need for a quarterback in Kansas City. A couple weeks ago, I picked USC's Matt Barkley and was pretty comfortable with him in the top spot. But a lot of what I've seen and heard is that Barkley's stock is plummeting and Smith is viewed by many in the NFL as the better prospect. Smith had a ridiculous season this year (71.4 completion percentage, 40 touchdown passes and only six interceptions) and is big enough (6-3, 208) to step into the NFL. If they don't trade for an available veteran, the Chiefs will likely use the top pick on a quarterback.
After a full NFL regular seasonĀ of mock drafts, we now have the top 20 selection locked-in for the Draft in April. We also have nearly one-third of the league looking for a new head coach and a half-dozen teams replacing their general manager… so far. The salary cap, accompanying the unprecedented change at head coach... Read more »

There has been a lot of movement with... Read more »

2013 NFL Mock Draft: The Fourth Attempt

2013 NFL Mock Draft: The Fourth Attempt
This is my fourth attempt at a mock draft for the 2013 NFL festivities, and it’s becoming harder each week to determine the order in which teams will select than the needs of each organization. Some teams showed their true colors this week, and others were surprising. Oh, and there was the debacle tie in... Read more »

2013 NFL Mock Draft: A Second Look

2013 NFL Mock Draft: A Second Look
A couple weeks ago, I took a way-too-early look at what the 2013 NFL Draft, trying to pinpoint which prospects might be headed where. Since that date, a number of things have changed that will undoubtedly impact next year’s draft. The Cleveland Browns will have a new owner and a new man – Joe Banner... Read more »

2013 NFL Mock Draft - First Attempt

2013 NFL Mock Draft - First Attempt
Next spring’s NFL Draft could be one of the more intriguing in recent memory. With a handful of teams using high picks recently on quarterbacks, many of whom are either developing slowly or not at all, there could be pressure on some of the league’s losers to make redundant picks. Meanwhile, some very highly regarded... Read more »
