There are lots of parallels that can be made between the 2010 Blackhawks team that ended a major championship drought in Chicago and the Chicago Cubs roster that has captivated the city - indeed, the country - recently.
In 2010, there were role players on the Hawks who were largely taken for granted like Kris Versteeg, Troy Brouwer, Dave Bolland, Ben Eager and Adam Burish.
Similarly, this year's Cubs team has players on the roster who haven't been given their due for the role they've played in the team's success. Guys like Chris Coghlan, Miguel Montero, Chris Denorfia, Tommy LaStella and Jonathan Herrera have been critical to the Cubs being where they are today.
But there are more similarities than just the supporting case. Let's look at how the teams were built, and how similar they really are.
