When Chicago Cubs President Theo Epstein met with the media after his team's final loss to the New York Mets, he made it painfully clear that adding pitching depth is a focus for the Cubs' front office this winter.
While trades are certainly a possibility - especially with the surplus of middle infielders still on the Cubs roster - there are some quality pitchers hitting the free agent market this winter who will undoubtedly get a call from a Chicago number soon.
Here are ten free agent pitchers the Cubs could/should consider. You'll notice one name missing from the list, one that is familiar to Cubs fans. I don't see a reason to bring Jeff Samardzija back, and don't think the front office does either.
