2014 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Freeman-to-Vikings Edition

A couple weeks ago, we offered our first projection of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Since that time, a number of dynamics have changed around the NFL. On Sunday night, reports surfaced that Josh Freeman will sign with the Vikings. Also, since trading Trent Richardson, the Cleveland Browns sprinted to the top of their division with three straight wins. Meanwhile, the Bears have lost two in a row and the NFC North is up-for-grabs. And this year's Denver Broncos might be the best offense the NFL has ever seen.

With those changes in mind, let's take another look ahead to next spring's NFL Draft.

  • Minnesota will NOT take a tackle in the draft. We took LT Matt Kalil who made the pro-bowl as a rookie with the 4th pick in 2012. Then we just signed RT Phil Loadholt in the off-season to a 4-year $25 Mill. contract. We are set at tackle for a while. Now I could see a DT, maybe Nix? We desperately need a LB, maybe Barr? Hell Freeman may play well this year, but he is also inconsistant, maybe we'll go with a QB like Mariotta?
