Brian Urlacher Retires: My Top Ten Linebackers of All-Time

Two of the best linebackers to ever play in the NFL have both left the league this offseason.

Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis retired after the Ravens' Super Bowl victory.

On May 22, Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher announced his retirement after 13 years.

Only 2 players in NFL history have 40+ sacks and 20+ interceptions with one team: Lewis & Urlacher. The 2018 Hall of Fame induction class will include two of the best.

But the best?

Where do Urlacher and Lewis rank in my ten best of all-time?

I'm sure there are a few linebackers out there that some might have put on this list that don't show up, and I'd love to hear who I missed in the comments.

But these are, in my personal opinion, the ten best linebackers in the history of the league.

  • I'd put L.T. at number one. MVP he played longer, and was he on two super bowl teams.
