Chicago is the greatest sports city in the country, and it's certainly not because of championships. It's because of us, the fans. And in every corner bar, almost every night of the week, we, the fans, are discussing what's right and what's wrong with the world of our teams. Those conversations, as colorful and intense as they can be, are the inspiration for this: the Daily Chicago Sports Tab.
This begins an exciting journey for me, a fan of everything about Chicago sports, and you, hopefully the same. The Daily Chicago Sports Tab is going to be a place you can come to find out what's up, down, sideways, right and wrong in the world of Chicago sports and, hopefully, will feel like home. There will be times that we jump into some statistical analysis, and other times when this is nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction, but what's important is that this is a community of dialogue.
If you think I'm full of it, tell me. If you agree, or get excited by something you read here, tell me. If you have some level of inner-workings knowledge that you would like to enlighten me/us with, tell me.
The Daily Chicago Sports Tab isn't a place to come and read a sterile article expressing the opinion of someone who believes he's right. To the contrary, this is going to be a place where we discuss the events of the day and try to make sense of a crazy world of sports. If you take the time to comment on something, or email me, I will certainly get back with you. The Daily Chicago Sports Tab is about us, the fans of Chicago's great teams.
After all, together, we're going to solve all of Chicago's problems, right?
As the seasons progress, there will be wins and losses, players coming and going, successes and failures. The incredible thing about Chicago is that we all feel the pain of these tribulations together. As Mickey Mantle once said, "You never have to wait long, or look far, to be reminded of how thin the line is between being a hero or a goat."
In that spirit, when Mark Buehrle throws another no-hitter, or Alfonso Soriano flies out to deep center, we'll talk about it. When Lovie Smith calls kills two timeouts consecutively because of apparent commercial obligations with the network, we'll talk about it. When (if) Vinny Del Negro gets a haircut, we'll talk about it. And when the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup this year, we'll all go drink... and then talk about it.
But my hope is that you, my fellow fans, find that the Daily Chicago Sports Tab becomes your first choice for Chicago sports discussion. Just like your favorite bar, I'm here to be a sounding board for the fans. So, with that being said, let's get start making some noise.

Your logo sucks. where is the love for the Fire?
Unfortunately, I don't know much (anything) about soccer, so I didn't want to portray myself as someone who has a clue when it comes to all things Fire. Sorry for leaving the Fire out of my logo, but that's just how I roll.
The Fire uni comes right after a full frame Bandits outfit.
LOL yes...
