According to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com, the Bears are targeting both Julius Peppers and Aaron Kampman. It is very exciting to know that, if these rumors are true, the Chicago Bears’ brain trust has finally recognized that the defensive lineup lacks the requisite talent to compete for a championship. According to La Canfora: Peppers,... Read more »
Neil Hayes’ blog on Sun-Times quotes Torry Holt at length, as the wide receiver says he would be thrilled to come to Chicago and play for Mike Martz again. I don’t know how much Holt has in the tank but he believes – and I agree with him – that his knowledge of the system... Read more »
Full story: here. This is very sad news. Adams was the source of great debate on this website and of Bears fans around the country. But no young man should leave this world after only twenty-six years.
When the New York Giants finished their season at 8-8, John Mara addressed the New York media with the ferocity of a rabid wolverine. “I’m less than 24 hours after the end of the season,” he said, “so I’m sure I’ll cool down at some point and try to make intelligent decisions going forward. But... Read more »
FIND OUT WHO IS MAKING THE DECISIONS FOR THE CHICAGO BEARS AND REPORT BACK TO US. PLEASE JUST FIND OUT WHO IS GOING TO DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT JERRY ANGELO AND LOVIE SMITH RETAIN THEIR POSITIONS WITH THE TEAM. I WANT A NAME. AND NONE OF YOU HAVE PROVIDED ONE. DO YOUR JOBS.
I believe John Mullin’s reporting on Lovie Smith’s future was most likely thorough and accurate. I also believe – after sitting through this afternoon’s utter disgrace of a football team – that Lovie Smith will be fired as the head coach of the Chicago Bears. The quarterback is lost. The receivers are lost. The defense... Read more »

Where are the physical, aggressive, intense, tough and strong Bears? Where’s the blocking? Where’s the tackling? Where are the Bears... Read more »
The Bears are not good. Not even close. Today’s win was so awful that it was enough to get a coach fired. But it won’t. Why? Because we’re already in the process of disguising this victory as somehow important. Nothing…nothing…nothing…was learned today. This team is awful. Terrible. Disgusting. But you know what? It’s Packer week.
Thanks to Shady for linking the podcast in the comments of the last post. The podcast itself can be heard here. Today on The Score, Hub Arkush has made sure-to-be ballyhooed comments regarding Bears ownership “considering the possibilities” of making changes in both the front office and on the sideline of the Chicago Bears. Arkush... Read more »
Seriously? Rex Grossman’s dad?I like Fred Mitchell a lot but his column with quotes from Dan Grossman should be the last football piece he writes this season. Nobody cares what this man thinks about ophthalmology (he’s an ophthalmologist) let alone how a pro football organization manages the quarterback position. The Bears stink at developing quarterbacks. ... Read more »
