Five football-related points to counter my intangibles-laden game preview:
- If I had a vote for team MVP this season it would probably go to Charles Tillman anyway but he can cement that award by shutting down Calvin Johnson again. Johnson has been an unstoppable force this season - arguably much of it in garbage time - but Tillman stopped him once. Can he do it again?
- Isn't this the game where Jay Cutler should load up the stat sheet? Running backs are hurt, season on the line, offensive line coming off their best performance of the year...etc. Shouldn't we be looking at 300+ yards and a bunch of touchdowns?
- Hit Stafford. A lot.
- I think the Bears have a big return in them today. Devin Hester is being quietly slid off the offensive depth chart while returning to his role as the greatest kick returner to ever live. It is time, Mr. Hester.
- Henry Melton talked enough this week. If he no shows in Detroit, he's getting slaughtered here tomorrow.
Bear down. I more than likely won't have a new post up until tomorrow morning. For my thoughts throughout the day, check out @dabearsblog on Twitter.
