Kansas City Chiefs at Chicago Bears Game Thread

Kansas City Chiefs at Chicago Bears Game Thread

I chose one of my favorite locales in the city as the game thread photo. And I don't care what you say about it. (By the way, I'll be at Rossi's tonight for the Detroit Lions v. New Orleans Saints game if you're in Chicago and want to come by for a hello. I'll be the one in a worn orange cap, drinking Old Style bottles, playing Warren Zevon tracks on the jukebox and screaming "Who Dat!")

Other scoreboard watching to be done:

  • It'd be nice to see Houston's terrific rush attack destroy Atlanta's rush defense (one of the worst in the league). I just don't know that the Texans will be able to hide Yates for four quarters.
  • It sucks, I know, but root for the Packers to put the Giants to sleep for two reasons: (1) it'll knock another team out of the mix and (2) we need the Packers playing for something Week 17.
  • Root for Tony Romo to throw the game away and lose to Arizona.
  • I'm also going to start rooting against San Francisco every week. I want New Orleans to slide into the two slot, giving the Bears a trip to either San Fran or Dallas/NY for first round of playoffs (should they make it).

  • Upset special:

Down goes Rodgers, down goes Rodgers!

  • You boys are up early. If I lived in Chicago, I'd definitely make a trip to Rossi's to meet Jeff. It would be nice to put a face to the blog. Same goes for most of the regulars on here. The old Tribune msg board used to get together at a poster's bar in Wisconsin once a year. Very cool.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Indeed, Canada. Have one for me fellas.

  • I'm ready for battle today boys! Here's a little sumpin sumpin to get you going. Let's do this thing.

  • Bear down baby Caleb, make your fans proud.

  • Somebody describe Old Style for me. I gather that it's a favorite of Chi natives. Is it fizzy yellow beer, ale, what?

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

It was the only beer I could afford when I was in HS.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

Old Style used to be a very popular beer in the midwest, especially Chicago. Kind of like Miller, Coors, and Bud in popularity. It was made in "God's Country" (La Crosse, WI). It was brewed with "pure artesian spring water" (along the Mississippi River) and it was "fully kreusened" (whatever that means). The brewery sold and now it's made somewhere else, probably where they found some more artesian spring water. I don't like it much, since it gave me wicked wet farts after drinking it.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

I like my explanation better. he he.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

    I do too.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

    Wet FARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • In reply to TheFifth:

You mean, there's such a thing as dry farts? Hmmm.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    It's kräusened.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

awesome... I'm going to use that in conversation from now on. Dude, you're so fucking kräusened... and then just walk away.

  • Hey, hanging out with my seahawks buddy... we're watching ESPN pre-game and suzy kolber was on. He says she's sexy...

Are you guys down or not? So sexiness factor for kolber 0-10.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

She's way sexy. But in a unique-face/classy sort of way. Not in a J-Lo or Halle Berry sort of way. But yeah, way sexy to me.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    sooooo. you like lesbians then?

ha! Personally I think she's not at all attractive and 'horsey'. Now if you're talking about Katie Upton... now THAT is a 15.

and that's exactly what I told my buddy shady.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I got no problems when Lesbians. Doesn't change their hotness factor. Might even increase it.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

I got know problems when lesbians either doc.

But that's a different hind of lesbian.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    see how I did that?

(the wife ready to pop yet?)

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Actually chuckled at that one.

I'm ready. She's very uncfortable but apparently not "emotionally ready" for him. I think it might be due in part to the fact that our two boys are 100% grade A CRAZY and she's worried she won't be able to handle three of them. I try to make it better by saying things like "It's all probably just going to get easier in about 3 weeks (after birth)". For some reason that doesn't really work.

    Thanks for asking.

    Game on.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

maybe a krausened lesbian.....not there's anything wrong with that.....

  • In reply to MB30SD:

If you ask Joltin Joe after a few Old Styles he'll tell you she's a 10.

  • In reply to Shady:

I'm pretty sure it's Broadway Joe, and here's a link:

  • In reply to Shady:

    it was

  • In reply to MB30SD:

there's actually an entire sports site named after the incident Shady

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    "I wanna kiss you."

    "Thanks Joe"

  • Don't know about you guys but I'm still pissed about the call before half time last week. I'm hopin for a blood bath today. Martz better not bring his B game today. It also seems I've been right to rail against him the last two years. He won't be back next year according to everything I've read.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

I totally disagree with Jeff that we should keep that rat bastard after this year. I'm ready to fire him RIGHT NOW.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

Amen. Sorry Doc, I had to do that, I didn't go to church this morning.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

    me neither

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

Why did I miss a good burn or something?

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

burn? Sorry, I'm on "fire" this morning.

  • Should Tebow make the Pro Bowl this year? The 3 letter network was discussing it earlier. Unfortunately I missed it, since the volume was down. Bears by 20 today.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

I watched it corm. Not that interesting.

My view. No fucking way. Who have they beaten? Jets? Raiders without their runningbacks and a QB? they haven't beaten anyone.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

He hasn't beaten us yet. Until that happens, it shouldn't even be up for discussion. Badda bing!

  • In reply to TheFifth:

    F NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Martzy give the head on your shoulders more blood than having a Martzy boner with the "F"ING PASS HAPPY FUCK YOU CAN BE!!!!! protect Caleb...give his chance... either that our you may have another youtube experience with Hanie say FUCK HIM over the headphones. hahahahahahahahaha

  • I'm putting the over/under for the number of Bears kick returns at 4 today. Aaaaaand I'm taking the over.

    Bears 72 Chiefs -8

  • In reply to Shady:

  • Feels good to have the noon start again, go get it boys!

  • Field looks like crap again, no surprise there.

  • Welcome to the NFL Trahan, nice hit.

TJ has got to be motivated to play today.

  • I'm kind of disappointed that we allowed these clowns to get a first down.

  • great read by Jennings to sniff out the screen before the blocks got set. Fantastic start. Here's hoping we run it on everything but 3rd and long.

  • How long be4 we see Orton? Halftime?

  • LOL @theref

  • Wow. Bet A-Pod meant that.

  • Zachary Bowman with a huge play on specials, great awareness.

  • Dont understand how you stop play and then pick up challenge flag. What the hell is that?

  • Why run a route a couple yards short?

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

And why do it on every single play?

  • This is sickening.

  • Take the field goal Martz!! Have we learned nothing from the Detroit game in week 5???

  • I don't like giving up field position to a good defensive team like the Chiefs. I would have much rather seen a fake punt there.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

    fake punt audible

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

    From the (new) long snapper.

  • Can't run a yard boys? Martz is off already.

Johnny Knox catches two passes and still can't make a first down

At least we know Carimi will take over at LT when he comes back.

My .bathroom is locked from the inside.

    Where's my coffee ?

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Haha what is it like 2am there? Poorly thrown ball from Hanie there.

  • In reply to Shady:

12 hours ahead here Shady, so I already know the final score. Tee Hee!

  • Give the fucking ball to the Barbarian on 4th down!

  • Please please please don't let it be season ending, not to this guy. Fuck me.

  • Fuck. That looked bad, even on vipbox.

  • seasons over folks

  • In reply to DYLbear23:

fucking spaeth! Cannot block for shit!

  • Frak me. That looks bad. Okay, Paea or Leshoure ?

  • Shit. That's the season right there.

  • I think forte will be back today...

  • Ok he's walking hope isn't dead yet. Holding in the end zone. Crap.

  • In reply to christianh:

.... phew, I'm too negative today.

  • Barbarian and Clutts ? Can we do it with the Klutz under center?

  • nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck this.... Fuckin dodged a bullet on the hold in the endzone... Fuckin a man

  • O line and WRs need to step it up now.

  • Bailed out by KC. Go D!

  • But bears looking a little flat...WR need to run first down routes and caleb NEEDS to get a damn rhythm going, he has NOTHING right now...

  • FORTE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ugh. We need to pick up McNabb.

  • In reply to lobotobear:

Uhm you're not being quite fair here. How do you think the Pack would look if Rodgers got hurt? And now Forte out. All that said this team is too good to look bad against KC.

  • In reply to lobotobear:

They're called injuries Lobo, they happen in football.

  • Well boys, the wife's sending me to the store. Hopefully when I get back this crap fest will be in our favor.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

    She's what?

  • There we go.

  • This looks like an AFC West game so far...ugly.

  • Apparently Caleb Hanies performance in the Packer playoff game was an apparition. This is his second start and he shows no sign of being able to get us a win. If we can hold KC scoreless and get a field goal or touchdown on a take away we may win this game.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

Which is why they should have tried to kick that FG instead of going for it on 4th.

  • In reply to Shady:

52 yards into the wind. Give it to the Barbarian there.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

I don't know it looked pretty much exactly like last week's game to me. Some good deep ones, more bad INT's.

  • Time to throw one deep to Knox.

  • Holy crap, Forte AND Peppers ?

  • Hanie is a tick late on his decisions and that aint gonna work in the NFL

  • Looks like KC's OL will have their hands full today - if we get a safety that might be enough.

  • Peppers now? Really or is this some cruel joke?

  • In reply to Shady:

No just typical Chicago sports luck.

  • Radio announcers want "quick decisions in the passing game." Yeah right.

  • I guess Angelo got his wish - maybe he does not have to pay Matt now.

  • In reply to SC Dave:

If Matt goes on IR, and JA doesn't pay him, I'm quitting this team til JA is fired into the sun.

  • In reply to DYLbear23:

And if Matt goes on IR, Angelo pays him and then can't sign anyone else b/c of the cap, you'll say the Bears "are cheap". I personally think the CBA should have guaranteed contracts like in MLB, but as it doesn't and salaries count against the cap, being nice to your employees means no chance at winning. Fine by me, just don't complain about the losing then.

  • In reply to DYLbear23:

Increase his pay on IR? You are nuts. I don't want the bears paying him more when he is healthy.

  • Injuries, bad QB play, and bs calls. I'm hoping for the NU BB team to bail the day out with a W against Baylor...

  • DISLOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAJOR PENIS

  • Anyone got a feed?

  • In reply to SC Dave:

We're up 21-0 in this one.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    Thanks Irish!

  • Orton injured first play?

    this game is mental.

  • Well, Orton was a quick investment gone out the window!

  • Fucking Todd Haley calling a flee flicker on Orton's 1st play? Jackass.

  • Didn't somebody say we were going to break his thumbs?

  • I was in the crapper (the other one) ... eh ... how did Orton get injured - falling off the bench?

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Major Wright crushed him just as he threw his first pass

  • and I thought when he had his finger up..He was say "Check Please" cha-ching..."F"ing KC

  • I'm confident we win this one 3-0 ... maybe 2-0.

  • Peppy and lach should go over kick the shiete out of hanie and tell him to get to fucking work...and then someone to go up stairs and turn martzy into a PINATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to lobotobear:

You've got my vote for HC Lobo !

  • Peppers just killed that guy!!

  • I love you J Pep

  • Peppers back.

  • Peppers just needed a quick needle to the knee.

  • Lovie challenge. What do those with TV say?

  • In reply to christianh:

    Clearly a catch.

  • Yes!

  • 4th a 1 near the goal - anyone for a screen pass?

  • A trick play worked? Huh?

  • In reply to christianh:

Not really a trick play, just strong at the point of attack.

  • In reply to Shady:

Thanks without TV it's hard for me to tell.

  • throw back screen?

  • Take the points Lovie.

  • The Barbarian wants the ball, give it to him.

  • Go for it!!!!

  • Please take the points.

  • Go for it

  • This is a 4th down when we should be going for it. We make it, TD. We miss, good odds for a safety.

A timeout after a timeout. How is this possible. Sweet baby Tebus.

  • *sigh*

  • nice design mike

  • What. A. Fucking. Mess.

  • Speakin' of mental... sheesh

  • Omlette getting false starts on FG's. He should be booted out the league.

  • why the fuck is omlette still on this team? YOU FUCKER

  • 18 inches too far back. Fuck!

  • ommmmmmlllleeeetttttt!!!!!!!!

  • Word on the street from Rotowire is Forte is done with a torn ACL.... FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Well I guess then my goal for the season is to see the Packers get killed in a play-off game.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Barber can carry the running game.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    What's the opposite of Karma?

  • In reply to Shady:

It's still Karma. Can be good or bad.

  • In reply to Shady:

    Murphy's law?

  • In reply to Crunch ButtSteak:

    Yeah that's it.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Welcome Deemoney .. .and fuck my life! I'll bet he loves his agent right now ....

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

I know right, fuck his agent and Angelo! I don't see how we can still compete going forward this season without our two best offensive players hurt and prob done for the season

  • What's up with the safeties? Is Wright hurt now?

  • Classic Martz. No extra protection.

  • How is that not a personal foul? Unbelievable.

  • Missed TD pass to Bennett was awful, you gotta make that throw Hanie!

  • Wtf is wrong with forte??

  • Knee. Out for the game at least.

  • Way to use your time outs for the Chiefs, Lovie.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

No those were good time outs. Come on, Lovie can't be expected to see the future.

  • In reply to christianh:

Why stop the clock for them when you're not sure how it will play out? With the warning, we still could have gotten the ball back with plenty of time and a couple of timeouts if they didn't convert.

  • NFL should just cancel this game right now.

  • Why did they call a timeout on 2nd down?

  • In reply to TheFifth:

Hoping to get the ball back at the 2 min warning. It's a standard thing to do.

  • how can they leave Bowe open 100 plays in a row?

  • Shit. Come one D, we need a stop here.

  • BTW, this game is pure awful! If we weren't playing the Chiefs today we'd be FUCKED!

  • This game is depressing.

  • You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. FUCKING HELL. Could there be worse luck than this?

  • Can you fucking believe that? The team that couldn't score .... in the lead.

  • Someone mentioned Murphy's Law earlier...

  • In reply to Shady:

    Yeah I'm depressed. Crap.

  • In reply to Shady:

Fuck Murphy. I'm a rocker. I don't care for laws.

Conte, Conte, Conte. When Brian Urlacher is positioned to make a play on the ball, any kind of play, back the fuck off. Shite man.

  • I need to come around more often. Who thee fuck are all these posters. Where my regs at

  • Some of us are here Fres.....just rough watching these games.

  • Getting locked out of their own fucking toilets and being beaten by the Chiefs Fres. Double trouble sunk in yet ?

  • Fuck this shit. Honestly. I'm done for this game. I'm out.

  • All they had to do is let that ball sail out of the endzone. Just let it frickin go.

  • This game is dog shit. Giant German Shepard logs of shit.

  • oh, jeez, even when we get it right it goes south on us. Free touchdown for the Chiefs.
Martz has had some great calls and the executing has been horseshit. Can't blame them all Martz today.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

Only person getting blamed today is Forte's agent ... greedy bastard.

  • The only good QB backup I can remember is Steve Fuller. Unless we consider Tzak or Harbaugh backups.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

  • In reply to christianh:

Brady? What Brady played for the Bears?

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

Must be thinking of Jan Brady, when she got hit by the football. Common mistake, but no, Jan never QB'd for da Bears.

  • The bitch of it was that Urlacher did exactly what you're taught to do in that situation.

  • The timeout on second down is dumb unless your losing late in the game. This game is surreal.

  • Forte out, Wright out (that makes both starting safeties out now...), and a freak TD for the Chiefs. And all that being on the West Coast where it's definitely too early to drink. Crap.

  • In reply to christianh:

dont be scared was it down. I'm in San Diego today enjoy a swig

  • Fuck man. I need a beer to wash down that bullshit

  • this game is unfolding like a fucking greek tragedy.

Knocked out of field goal range by a shit call on 3rd down resulting in a sack.
Touchdown nullified by Barber not lining up on the line.
Conte knocking the ball out of Urlachers hands as Dexter McCluster sat in front of Urlacher waiting for the ball to be knocked down while Steltz managed to not do one fucking thing of value.

7-3 Chiefs instead of 13-0 Bears. Concern.

  • It's Father's day today. The Bears are getting beaten by the Palko Chiefs and I'm locked out of my bathroom. I may not get out of bed ever again.

Here's to somebody knocking A-Rod's block right off his shoulders today.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Ha ha oh man... I feel for you. Yeah please at least let the Pack catch the bad luck.

  • In reply to christianh:

If we get beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs I won't feel so bad when I put the door in Butkus-style.

  • 0-7 on third down.

Also missed Bennett for a TD

  • Did he just say Louis has a knee injury ?

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    Lalalalala I can't hear you.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    don't know

  • We're gonna be fine guys. It may not be pretty, but we WILL win this game.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

promise me Doc because it seems somone made a deal with the Devil.

  • In reply to Waffle 2.0:

For what? Second place in the AFC west?

  • In reply to christianh:

for the outcome of the game today

  • Oh Jebus, the divine Bette Midler is hawking motors ? Am I asleep?

  • phantom holding call on peanut

  • ... and more BS calls.

  • don't see Peppers in there. not good.

  • What happened to our first drive btw? I missed it.

  • In reply to christianh:

    Hanie happened

  • In reply to christianh:

Hanie was bad- 3 and out.

  • In reply to christianh:

    Three and out.

  • In reply to christianh:

    Thanks :( Long day.

  • this game is fucking brutal.

  • Right now if Brian Urlacher broke both of his legs I'd be like "So what?"

  • if they score a TD here my level of concern will be high. this is sad.

  • Well if Peppers is out, and with two back-up safeties this game is over. And Conte just blows.

  • In reply to christianh:

Peppers has been back for a while.

  • In reply to Shady:

    Thanks, that's something at least.

  • In reply to christianh:

Come on now, Conte been playin good ball all year. What you been watching?

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

I mean today. Fair enough about the rest of the year.

  • The defense starting to slip - they really, really need a turnover.

  • Martz gone next year, according to PFT.

  • In reply to Who is Willie Gault:

Mike Martz can't recruit, I don't believe it. He's probably just trying to get some leverage and more money.

  • In reply to Who is Willie Gault:

After he turned down the extension that was always on the cards. Not what you want to see with the window closing ....

And Knox has just given one up again. Damn smurfs.

  • What happened to Major Harris? Why is he out?

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

    they said shoulder

  • In reply to huntinbare:

Thanks Huntin, musta been walkin away and takin a break when they said it.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

i'm listening to thayer on xm radio
happy not to have seen this mess

  • the bears are still givin' me a Wah Wah
    accurate execution is something
we have failed to pay respect to

    we are less than respectable
    and need divine intervention
    where's my incense

  • What are the odds on TJ scoring here?

  • Well unless Hanie can complete so passes, we're in for a long afternoon. defense is getting tired. We coulda had this game by the balls but we've completely blown it so far.

  • The fake penalty on Tillman really fucking hurt.

  • In reply to Waffle 2.0:

  • We need two acts of God.

  • we have come out dead
    after the half
    I expected some better energy
    considering we have warriors
    who have fallen

  • Did the Chiefs just say we're not afraid of your offense?

  • Come on Johnny Knox

  • Need a drive here.

  • Jump ball to Knox, are you kidding me? Terrible call!

  • Well that's pretty much a wrap right there. Hanie had his chance and blew it. Too bad. I liked the kid. Maybe next year.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

There won't be a next year for Hanie in the NFL if he continues to play this poorly.

  • Bears obviously can't score on offense. It's time for the D or specials to put some points up.

  • How over is our season?

  • why is martz doing this to us
give us a play that will work
or maybe he doesn't do well
    at halftime adjustments

  • Does Rex Hanie realize that Knox is an int waiting to happen?

  • Oh FUCK. Just tank the rest of the season to get some better draft position.

  • on the radio
it sounds like we are playing
    inside irishe's locked bathroom

  • In reply to huntinbare:

If these fools beat us, move away from the door HB ! My ciggies are in there ....

  • Ok, come one! Hester time.

  • Hanie is 5/13 with a pick which wasnt all on him. Hate to come off as an alarmist but damn I wouldnt mind seeing if McCown can complete a few......

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

    He's inactive today. Enderle?

  • can someone blow up the bears
    communication system
so cutler can call the plays
    from the sidelines

  • In reply to huntinbare:

No come one, there's really no way to blame Martz today. It's just bad execution and bad QB play.

  • Matt Who ?

  • no catches for our runnig backs today
they need to get barber the ball quickly on the outside

  • I cant believe Miami beating Oakland 34 to 0 Where they been all year?

  • We don't have any consistency on O and our plan B never works. Woe is me.

  • 2nd and goal. Screen pass anyone?

  • Lance Louis is getting beat like a drum out there

  • OMG not you too Robbie. What. the. fuck. is going on!

  • Playaction rollout, hit Davis on the out.

  • Hanie needs to step up in the pocket, why would he try to roll out right into Jackson?

  • In reply to Shady:

Because he was an undrafted free agent?

  • Lance Louis whiffed that one

  • End around triple reverse.

  • Hanie's just lost in the NFL.

  • Seven step drop in the red zone.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

  • fire Martz immediately. He is throwing this game away.

  • well, Martz and Hanie just stuck a huge dick in this season.

  • Just keeps getting better and better...

  • This game looks, smells and taste's like a wet fart.

    WTF hester

  • If the Chiefs score one more time, even a field goal, I think that's it. And if you can't beat the Chiefs, you won't beat the Broncos. And maybe not even Seattle or Minnesota...

  • martz is out of his mind
get a trainer up there to

  • In reply to huntinbare:

martz is fucking the bears season on his way out the door

  • In reply to Waffle 2.0:

so sad he can't solve this Defense from his
    "magical" playbook

  • At least someone on the Bears showed up to play today. We'd be losing 37-3 without Peppers

  • Turn out the lights.
    The season is ovah.

    Pitchers and catchers report now.

Down goes Hanie - Down goes Hanie.

  • how long will lovie
    put up with this BS

  • In reply to huntinbare:

He like the group of QBs he has.

  • I was gonna say platoon the backs before the last drive. Don't see that happening.

  • Oh my god this is just absolutely horrifying.

  • where is the run
    where are the screens
    where is the QB draw
    where is martz's head??????

  • Bears need a pick 6 already.

  • In reply to Shady:

The way its going Gould would miss the extra point

  • Hanie doesn't have time to think, he is under non-stop pursuit.

  • This game is like watching Hangover 2 - a comedy with all the jokes cut out.

  • None of that gonna work with the way the line is playing. lance Louis is just horrible today. Every play I watch him he is being beaten, BADLY.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

I think he injured his knee earlier.

  • cam newton has now run for a record 13 touchdowns
can hanie run for just one please
maybe if he calls his number 13 times
the pounding will do something for his head
    and accuracy

  • In reply to huntinbare:

Rookie of the year no doubt.

  • I'll take McNabb. Cant be worse than this shit.

  • That better be holding on KC

  • Urlacher hurt now as well?

  • Vipbox running like a slideshow, can't see shit. Haven't seen Cutler on the sidelines today. He's there, right? He could shovelpass us to victory over these losers.

  • In reply to Crunch ButtSteak:

    Yeah, he's there.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Well, that's something. Hope he's far back from the field, the way things are going.

  • yeah what does it matter he doesn't know
    mike's play book
    it doesn't work anyway

  • Just keep running the damn ball.

  • In reply to Shady:

That's not working for us so well, either.

Can we get a fucking screen pass?

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Do you trust Hanie to execute it?

  • In reply to christianh:

Not really, but what choice do we have?

  • well shiloh just showed up
    he is chanting
maybe he can change a sunday
    that has been G-D AWFULL

  • this is so fucking bad that i'm not even mad anymore. I've come to peace with the fact that we are going to lose to the Chiefs. Martz will be fired this week. Hanie fucking sucks cock.

  • In reply to Waffle 2.0:

Martz better not be fired in the middle of the season that would be stupid.

  • 25 yards this half
23 on the run by bell
maybe martz would like to turn in his play book
and take off for Arizona tonight
and take your quarterback coach with you
and donate both your saleries to forte

  • Wel, on the bright side, there's nothing wrong with the defense....

  • In reply to tobijohn:

    Then again, it IS KC...

  • It's a shame when you get fantastic field position but can't do jack shit with it.

  • earn your millions
    you over paid slackers

  • Two bad offenses one get lucky on one bounce. Game. Almost makes me look forward to an LSU-Alabama rematch.

  • NFC Champs Hanie ?

  • Hell of a game up in Minny !

  • Will double the Xanax today.

One-hundred and twenty-five yards of total offense against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Matt Forte - 12 yards rushing.

  • In reply to Jack Lacan:

Matt's only seen five plays due to injury.

  • In reply to Jack Lacan:

I'm at 7.5 gms already. Thinking of doubling down...

  • Bennett's first catch?

  • Thats it, cut Williams, that can't happen. That was the game.

  • C'mon Hanie fucking get it done already!

  • Fuck you Roy, seriously, fuck you. Leave now. Just leave the city of Chicago NOW.

  • In reply to Shady:

He was leaving before he even arrived in Chicago Shady.

  • FUCKING HELL!!! Everything going wrong.

  • I do not believe this shit is happening!!!! there is like a fucking magnet in the endzone that won't allow us to score no matter what we do.

  • This team is not helping Hanie at all. Everyone is making mistakes around him.

  • I want to find that woman that rejected Roy's wedding ring, and congratulate her on the best decision she ever made.

  • defensive score is the only hope

  • how is hester getting so fooled

  • At the start of this game, I thought:

"Maybe Bear Jew won't get his RT spot back next season, Lance has found his spot at RT with the Bears. I wonder if the Bears are willing to let Carmini be the swing tackle next year."

Now, I don't think that at all.

  • I swear Devin Hester can be so fucking retarded sometimes, why not pick it up and GO? It's a free play!

  • well
    last chance outpost for hanie

  • I can't recall a game where so many things went wrong in such excruciating fashion.

  • What a terrible, terrible, terrible game this has been.

  • In reply to Shady:

Would you like an old style sir?

  • 5 guys can't block 6 guys.

  • In reply to Waffle 2.0:

Like I said before, with Martz, Plan B never works.

  • Isn't football supposed to be

    the bears sure aren't

    not really though

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

  • In reply to christianh:

    Don't live in Green Bay
    if Rodgers tears his ACL
    they still have
    Matt Flynn
    who is a better QB
    than any QB
    on the bears ever
    how does 19-0
    & back to back
    Super Bowls sound, punk?

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

Sounds like it ain't gonna happen you idiot. Now crawl back into your freezing hell-hole of a basement. Or maybe consider moving out of your parents' place at some point, it's getting embarrassing.

  • In reply to christianh:

    You are original
    maybe MENSA
    But why
    are you crying
    it was fun
    it lasted
    for the bears
    now it's time
    to watch
    an entertaining team

    don't flatter
    you're irrelevant
    just like your
    meaningless ramblings

  • Someone want to tell me what the deal is with all these KC sacks?

  • In reply to tobijohn:

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

No seriously that's just ridiculous. It's Hanie, bad O-line play, the injury to Forte, a good KC D-line and Martz sharing the blame. I don't get this mystification of the OC. Didn't get it when fans held Ron Turner responsible for everything, don't get it now.

  • In reply to christianh:

Martz is a great punching bag. Besides, he won't be back next year.

  • In reply to christianh:

Martz calls seven step drops in the redzone TWO TIMES IN A ROW, both resulting in sacks.

Martz calls no screens or swing passes through out the entire game. Yet we still got a few fake end arounds.

Martz completely abandoned the run once more in the second half.

Fuck what Jeff says, we have to can this prick. He has shown over two seasons that he cannot learn from mistakes and he is almost always a major contributor in our losses.

Bottom line. If you have all those things you said, Martz should adjust his play calling to balance them. He did not. Therefore, he is the problem.

  • In reply to DYLbear23:

... and move on to the next OC the fans can blame for all ills. How do the colts look without Manning? Has their OC turned from genius to loser?

  • In reply to christianh:

Err no, cause the biggest issue with the colts is their D. Besides Manning WAS the colts OC.

  • In reply to christianh:

Manning was their OC. So yeah.

  • Rock bottom folks. Don't know what to say other than it was nice while it lasted.

  • Come cry on my shoulder boys. Group hug.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

Boy I need one after that.

I'm going to stick Madden 12 on and pound the shit out of the chiefs.

    Albeit, with Jay and Matt.

  • How are they going to learn from this loss?

  • In reply to tobijohn:

this was a day where life just slaps the shit out of you
    it happens

    sad to lose matt
he gave us everything he had this year
the last three weeks have been a brutal

  • In reply to tobijohn:

    they are not

  • In reply to tobijohn:

What can they learn from this? Every aspect of our offense teeters on the edge of suck. Only Cutler kept us from plunging in. We need recievers, linemen, a better OC. This was all well known.

  • All I want for Christmas is Rodgers dead, Rodgers dead, Rodgers dead.

All I want for Christmas is Rodgers dead, hookah hookah hookah!

  • In reply to gpldan:

I'd go with early retirement. No need to be blood thirsty ;)

  • In reply to christianh:

Yeah there is. You should see all those packer trolls on NFL.com cackling with glee when Matt went down.

  • "We like our quarterbacks ..."

  • Roy fucking Williams. Go kill yourself.

  • We haven't had a good backup since Orton. A solid back up with a half way decent OC and we would have won the last two games. Easily.

  • Moving along ... got to love those Broncos, what a game.

  • Well, wasn't that special. I haven't read any posts today so here goes. Hanie is horrible. That soft-tossing motherfucker would get picked off 5 times by a really good D. Float it here, float it there. Fuck him. Bring in Enderle. Might as well, the season is over. The loss is due to a total meltdown on O thanks to Hanie/Martz and a horrible effort by the OL, WR's and TE's. Fuck do we stink without Cutler. Where are those fucking JA apologists talking about our depth? I'll be hanging in here til the bitter end but our chances of making the postseason have to be about 50-1. I don't see another win unless ST's and D score 2-3 times per game. That and our offense can hold them to 0. Fuck me!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

    Well said. I agree completely.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Another win is a different story, obvious it won't happen playing like this. Cutler haters, where ya at now??

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

    Floaters. Exactly. How fitting.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    Good call Irish.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

you mean like too much oil in the stool

have to say you gotta thing about the john today
and you are running well with it

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Yep, Hanie a floater. Flush it, call McNabb, anyone.

Changing back to Batterload. ButtSteak bag production, got walrus gumboot.

  • In reply to Crunch ButtSteak:

Forget McNabb, he's washed up. Bring in Enderle. We're totally fucked for the rest of this year so get the kid some experience. Hanie won't be on the roster next year.

  • A day of horseshit passing, horseshit execution, and no luck what so ever! Truly Amazing!!

  • Well, Atlanta just lost. It's hard to believe but unless Detroit beats NO and the Giants beat GB, we haven't lost any ground in the Wild Card race. Of course, that's just until next Sunday. Just like last week, another game that could have been won. ..

  • At least Tebow won today. With the Raydah's getting blown out, that puts Tebow and Company in 1st place in the AFC west. Is there anyone here who wouldn't take Timmy over our sorry backups?

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

Or how about Cam Newton, wouldn't we take him over our back-ups? As long as we are imagining the Bears can just conjure first-round picks out of thin air...

  • In reply to christianh:

That was a poor attempt at humor C. Rub some dirt on it big guy.

  • Fire Martz now, and treat the next four games as practice for getting used to the new OC.

Fire his cronies while we're at it.

    Roy, Enderle, etc...

  • In reply to Who is Willie Gault:

Completely agree, I think they can still reach the playoffs doing this.

  • In reply to Bender McLugh:

    Who ? Kansas? I guess ....

  • In reply to Who is Willie Gault:

Better keep Enderle. He can throw the ball. Unlike that soft tossing POS Hanie.

  • In reply to Who is Willie Gault:

    fire martz
    save the monet
    if it's not guaranteed
put cutler on the field with a headset
    and clipboard
    in my world
    he just became the
    offensive coordinator

  • And how much of a piece of SHIT is Roy.

  • In reply to Bender McLugh:

About what we thought. Williams dropped a ball in traffic. That's pretty much his M.O. Also, saw him standing around in the secondary 2-3 times doing absolutely nothing. Not trying to clear zones or block downfield. Thanks Roy. It's not like he lost the game for us. Martz/Hanie are responsible for about 90% of that.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Must not've been a "must win game".

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

Thanks Doc! A good laugh really helps. I've been pouting for the last hour or so. It's good to get out of that mindset.

  • Fuck it, sign McNabb.

  • In reply to Shady:

his agent called, DMac's price just went up

  • In reply to Bender McLugh:

  • Regardless of whether or not Forte is good to go next week, the Broncos are going to kick the living shit out of us. They look awesome right now. Von Miller should be back for that game too.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Their D will destroy us. KC were 2nd last in sacks and they still racked up 10000000 against us.

  • The person I fell sorry for the most out of all of this is....Jeff.

He had to pay to go see that tripe.

  • In reply to DYLbear23:

Call it a character builder DY.

  • They did give up 32 points to the Vikings. That's not THAT awesome. But yeah, they're gonna beat the Bears no question.

  • In reply to christianh:

They were missing Von Miller - like us missing Urlacher - and Harvin was off the chain today. I'm getting off the fence now, Tim Tebow is awesome. He just is. His stats are crazy on their own, and when they get Miller back (possibly next week) there will be no beating them.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Yeah, ain't no way our boys will beat Tebow.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Tebow doesn't turn the ball over, period. A fine trait. However, they have been playing one shitty team after another. They get another shitty team next week. If Denver makes the playoffs they will be exposed big time.

  • Unless he starts pulling many rabbits out of his hat, I don't think Hanie will be back next year. Cassel will be back next year so KC won't need Orton and besides, he want's to be in Chicago. So maybe we'll get a decent #2 QB. Jeff wants Martz to stick around so learning a new offense isn't necessary but as someone said a few threads before, what's wrong with Tice as the new OC, keeping Martz's playbook and just balancing it out a bit. Besides, it's not the whole thing that sucks, just Martz's issues with reality...

  • In reply to tobijohn:

What's the chance the Bronco's release Orton tomorrow?

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

I'm pretty sure the Bronco's released him about 10 days ago.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Ha. I knew that, I meant Chiefs. I kinda got excited someone answered my post.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

  • I'll be back tomorrow. All I gotta say is PATHETIC.

  • What's the over-under on Tice-for-Martz.... 10.5 days?

  • In reply to Bender McLugh:

No way they let Martz go before the end of the season.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    come one......indulge me........PLEASE!

  • In reply to Bender McLugh:

How do you install a new offense in week 14 ? If you use the same playbook, who calls the plays, MIke Tice? Who looks after the O-line? Lovie Smith? Who looks after the game? Shane Day? MIke Martz didn't lose us that football game. An injury to Forte, a lining-up mistake from Barber, a drop from Roy, Conte knocking the ball out of Urlacher's hands, and Caleb Hanie sucking ... that's why we lost the game, nothing to do with Mike Martz.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Martz called a shitty game Irish. I agree with all your other points but Martz providing Hanie with no protection after 500 sacks is just brutal. Call more running plays, more 3-step drops, a couple of screens not in the red zone.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

What CB said. How does Martz not have a game plan for Hanie to play to his strengths? Was Hanie really just plain AWFUL? I can't buy that fully, even though Hanie fucking blew chunks for most of the game. It's as if Martz used this game to dust off those old doozies he just knows are gonna work. Sorry Martzy, this ain't your fourth-quarter-drill-team to test your bullshit.

I'm finally to the point where I'm doubting his ability to get back to basics and call a winning game plan AND backup plan AND BACKUP-backup plan (Enderle) for next week. Ain't that what he's paid for?

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    keep the book
    gone with martz

mike and shane are responsible for the play of hannie
it looks to me like they were slacking in their assignments

who was that safety that wanted to be released
    martz is shopping himself
give him and shane the same treatment

i don't know if you think this is crazy
I think cutler calling the plays
    and handling hanie
    would have produced better results
it is obvious that martz's attitude toward hanie
has left him worthless in the "head" part of the game

his accuracy is what is bothersome
and this I believe is because he wasn't throwing 100
passes a day every day till he is in the offseason
then he can throw 300 a day

  • I told you guys that I felt uneasy because all the twerps on espy picked the Bears.

  • get Mcnabb, my God how do we beat Greenbay? Hanie suckssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!. Guy could not find a F breasted blond wide open. Forte better be okay or we're screwed and hope fuckin teams lose, one thing noticed about hanie guy fucks it up in the endzone. Bear Down. literally he's down and wounded.

  • In reply to Sean:

McNabb is washed up. Play Enderle. Might as well see what he's got. We know Hanie sucks big, hairy moose cocks.

  • Forte has a knee sprain, he's not done.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    thats good.some good news.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    Gotta link Irish?

  • In reply to EnderWiggin:

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

2-3 weeks before he will be back it said in one
    ready by the playoff
but the way our luck has been
the examination will probrabl show a slight

    oh I can't say it

  • KC was they easiest opp the bears played in the last 2yrs. They even ran it up the middle on 3rd and goal from the 9! What a gift. LOL

Martz really let the team down with the play calling in the red zone- 2 weeks in a row now. Way too many 7 step drops and slow developing plays close to the goal line (the play action today, the screen in oakland) The line can't get Hanie more than 3secs to throw, he keeps getting sacked before he even sets! They didn't even try shotgun formation till late in the 4th. And why choose such an important moment of the game/season to reintegrate Williams into the offense??? HORRIBLE. Worst coached team in the NFL. Lovie's formula of 3-4 turnovers or LOSE is never going to work. You can't count on turnovers, they're the most unpredictable part of the game! Get your head outa your ASS and figure out a way to move the football. I mean, THREE POINTS??

  • In reply to GUINEAD1CK:

In fairness, before Cutler went down, we were averaging 30 points a game, that's pretty good.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

    that is looking like
    it was all on cutler

i believe martz blew it in oak.
by not making hanie look effective
    he had to figure out
    what he could do
let him do it and have succesfull drives
by showing that he could get
freaked; was not a good thing to record on tape
for other defenses to learn from

  • Is Martz intentionally trying to fuck us?
Every fucking quarter he ran the same shit. Adapt your FUCKING game immediately. This is fuckin pathetic!

  • Fres, you're preaching to the choir. If there are any Martz fans left on this blog they aren't going to say much this week.

  • and Mcnabb, if he is washed up then what the FUCK is Hanie then?

  • A never was. McNabb isn't getting signed. By the time he was up to speed with this O we'll be out of contention. Not to mention, McNabb's work ethic has been questioned in Philly, Wash, and Minn. Play Enderle and get him some experience. We're fucked no matter what we do so might as well plan for the future.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

If Enderle is the future then we're infinitely fucked.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

You're probably correct but at least he's an unknown at this point. We know Hanie is horrible, McNabb is washed up and McCown is cannon fodder.

  • It's time to find a quality OC and pay him Lovie like money. Our O doesn't have enough umph to punch it's way out of a paper bag. Forget about it.

  • Actually Martz's play calling wasn't all that bad...the execution and the pass throwing was complete horseshit.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

Hmmm. This sounds surprisingly similar to the situation we found ourselves in under Turner. I think its time to start paying more attention to the wonderlic scores before drafting on the offensive side of the ball.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

what the fuck? it wasnt bad? KC was rushing 7-8 guys almost every down, and Martz refused to go to max protection. You have a crap QB but yet your running 7 step drop long pass plays. Where the quick throws, seam routes, and screens? CMON SON! MARTZ IS THE FUCKIN PROBLEM!

Martz knows he is gone after the season, and he does not give a fuck where this offense or team ends up. PERIOD

  • exactly. looked like Cutler last year

  • Gotta win 3 outa the last 4 if not all. It's a longshot with road games in greenbay and denver.

  • Funny feeling the Giants might beat the Packers ....

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Oh wait, I forgot ... Eli Manning is a tool ..... pick six.

  • I have already heard that Martz will be gone this season. Thus, everyone needs to hope that our offense doesn't change that much.

Before Jay was hurt, we were winning and moving the ball on offense.

If we get rid of Martz, someone needs to run the same system but not call plays like Martz.

  • For all the ship jumpers.

I understand, you're wounded, I am too. I'll take every thing said today with a grain of salt because crazy things can be said in anger. But I ask you this, if we would have won today, say 10-3, would you not have been happy? If not happy then, placated at least? Because while Hanie and the line played like shit today and Martz called way too many pass plays, yet again, we were like two or three freak plays from that outcome.

The Barbur-touchdown nullified by illegal formation. Had he been lined up properly, it's definitely still a TD.

The end-of-the-half-hail-mary-off-Urlacher-batted-away-by-the-Rookie-Conte-into-the-hands-of-a-chief TD. Holy shit. If not for that play it's a 3-3 overtime game at least.

The Roy Williams T.D. Drop. Fuck my life I hate this guy. Don't just cut him. KILL HIM. (I kid. Or do I?)

A Robbie Gould miss preceded earlier by consecutive sacks to knock us out of field goal range earlier in the day.

What could go wrong, did go wrong. We lost the game today, but our defense played great and we lost our best offensive player. If his injury is not serious, we can still make noise in the postseason, if we can make it there.

Just stay calm and ride the wave. Don't lose all hope just yet. I implore you. Like a marriage, bearing down is only useful when things suck really bad. So BEAR DOWN and get the negativity out of your system TODAY. Cause if any of these newbies with self photos and real names start bashing on my beloved, I will have no choice but to let MB unleash his hazing-fury on your green asses.

    Now BEAR DOWN Damn It!

Nitty, that's a team the bears shoulda beat by 20 points, even without Cutler.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

Lol I love the hope but I just do not want to lose anymore without Jay at the helm.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

Doc, I like your positive attitude but this was the only gimmee left on our schedule. I'll still be pulling for the beloved for 3 hours each week until the season is over. However, we're totally fucked with Hanie at the wheel. Martz might actually call better games with Enderle behind center. After all, Enderle is his boy and he would want to make him look good.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

It seems the Bears will be in the hunt till the end of the season because everyone else making a run is losing as well. I just think absent Cutler coming back, this team's not winning a playoff game. Our season ended with Cutty's injury because the front office didn't learn their lesson from last year by not going out and getting a solid backup. I'm just trying to enjoy football while it last's because before you know it, we'll be anxiously awaiting the draft in the off season. Lady luck took out the leader of our team on a freak injury tackling a defender after a pick. I've read the tea leaves, this season will end in disappointment, Lovie won't get any gatorade poured over his head this year.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

If the season ended, it was with Forte busting an ACL, not with Cutty going out. Barber is not Matt, plain and simple.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Sounding now like it's a sprained MCL...so, yeah.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

*sigh* Bear Down. (takes sip of whiskey)

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

it was in the cards to lose this
    I went for a ride
    turned on BB Kings Bluesville
    and thought about this

the team has to be embea-rassed
    if they have any fight
they will posse up and bring the energy
next week could be a team playing angry

    if we lose on
    I will take this one
because now it is an all out push
to attempt to make the playoffs
    we can't lose another
    it will erode confidence
    so i feel
    if we got anything left
if there is any fight in us
    then we play every down
    like it has playoff significance

    and would someone
one of you handsome single studs
    start hitting on "lady luck"
    and keep her happy
    through the end of

  • I also do not think we can make it to the playoffs.

Please do not shoot me or call me a horrible fan but we need to see who we can draft at 7-9.

Can we get a legit left tackle, a stud wideout, or a player who commands attention on the d-line. I am simply tired of sacks, drop passers, and Julius Peppers getting tripled team and no one winning the one on one battle.

  • In reply to Artoo:

Carimi's our LT as far as I'm concerned, I never got on the J'Marcus Webb loveboat and I'm not starting now. He's a backup - pure and simple. We need to draft a Center, a guard and a MLB. And not pass over the best running back in the draft when he falls to you at 53 for a guy with huge tits.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

If Trent Richardson falls to us.. we would be fools to not take him or pull off what Cleveland did last year.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

You da man Irish. I love it.

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

Would I be silly to think that the dude we drafted from WV could be our back up MLB/special teams ace next year? (Thomas?)

  • Erik. Get your shit together. The draft is a crapshoot. More importantly, we don't ever root for failure. You don't get to wear your superman outfit for a one whole week for that kinda talk.

Imagine if Walter Payton thought like that. "I'll just go down easy here so I'm more fresh for next year when it matters. The odds will be higher we'll win next year if I'm fresh". Give me a break.

    Never root for failure. Never.

Great. Now I have to go take a shower to wash off this filth.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    Old style?

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

I understand. I am tired of seeing our best players play all out and a few just give up.

  • In reply to Artoo:

The Draft is not much of a Crap shoot if you do your homework.

  • In reply to Artoo:

and if you think the draft is a crapshoot, I bet you hate the FA.

  • just think if urlacher makes that pick we win 6-3

  • In reply to Sean:

Did we kick another FG when I wasn't looking? The way things were going Gould would have missed on the series where Roy fucked up.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

    good point got me!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Let's not forget the Frank Omiyale false start on the FG attempt that Robbie actually made. The Bears are paying this guy millions to false start. On special teams. Fucking Frank Omiyale.

  • In reply to Shady:

    Well said.

  • In reply to Sean:

He did make the pick, that's what hurts ....

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

when?....what game were you watching?...no pick there PERIOD!!!

  • Worst coached team in all of sports. Look what a playoff caliber team like Houston is doing with their 3rd string qb. Lovie and Martz are a joke. Go drink another shot of fuckin nyquil and snooze your way through the press conference Lovie. I LOATHE YOU!

  • Well ain't that a kick in the balls ans punch to the head FUCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to lobotobear:

Knee sprain. He'll be back. Not that it matters with our QB ...

  • In reply to lobotobear:

He should have taken the offer Jerry made him.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

yep. damn...bye bye to the PB

  • hahahahah this is a fucked up season.

  • I think we may all have the answer to why Todd Collins was ahead of Hanie last year.

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

    trac.......ouch...that's going to leave a mark..lol

  • In reply to TracDaddy:

i know you're kidding. Collins was unable to throw a football more than 7 yards without ramming it into the ground.

  • In reply to Waffle 2.0:

Yeah but the end result is the same. In my NFL, you're either good or you suck.

  • our playoffs envision:

We've been invited to a gangbang by Major Penis and his posse and find out we are a five foot nothing white guy with a four inch dick...SHEITE!!!!!!! wake up from the nightmare PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to lobotobear:

How did you know? How did you know?

  • 2-4 weeks out this sucks I'm speechless

  • Funny how every year since I have been here, when we give up hope on them, they usually suprise us.

  • In reply to Artoo:

Artoo. not giving up hope bra, just a touch of reality...damn ....boy you now see why Cutty should be MVP ..no thanks to fucking Martzy, no thanks to our smufette WR's and no thanks to our pussy line...o btw...WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY TWO GUARDS THAT I HAVE BEEN BITCHING ABOUT FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to lobotobear:

I am so taken back by what I said last year about Jay.

He is legit and man was he not the straw that stirred this offense.

  • OK fellas, hear me out. While I was baking some muffins (insert your own joke here) I came up with a crazy idea. Fire Martz instantly and have Cutler call the plays. He can't be any worse than Fat Boy and I think he could help Hanie/Enderle manage the games. Whadya think?

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

CB...did you say baking or stuffing those muffins????

  • In reply to lobotobear:

    Unfortunately, baking.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

HOLY SHIT... I like it. Sounds crazy considering who is calling the plays when he comes back.

  • Doc I though we were gonna win this game?

Am I ship jumping maybe almost. One player goes down and we are fucked? where is the coaching at? answer that please

  • Other than maybe Martzy, I don't blame coaching. I blame a shit ton of bad luck. I blame Roy Williams. I blame the O-line. I blame Robbie Gould. I blame Conte for causing the lone KC t.d. None of that was coaching. We lost a CRAZY game today. We've won a few that way. It all evens out in the end.

The thing is, while Hanie clearly has a long way to go we still have a chance with this years team. Here's why:

    Our Defense is playing GREAT.

Our specials had a bad night, but they are great and we all know it.

The offense was two or three crazy plays or penalties away from a 14 to 20 point afternoon. One missed Robbie FG, Another attempt prevented by two consecutive sacks to push us out of Robbie Range. One missed Roy Williams TD. One nullified Barber TD. Both passes. The hail mary fluke of a play that gave the chiefs their loan points....

Do you see my point? We lost Forte today and because of three or four flukey plays, we go from being 23 - 3 victors to 3-10 losers.

A shameful loss to be sure. But not a loss that causes me to write off this team.

If we won this game 23-3 you'd all be breathing a sigh of relief, even if you weren't mega-impressed with the style of victory. So let's just keep it in perspective.

I AM all for firing Martz though.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    well said
    we are not done
    there is still a stage
and we need to step up unto it
    and give a virtuoso performance
the statistics were ugly on O
    less than 100 yards passing
    less than 100 yards running

    hanie cannot be this terrible
    if he is
then the whole staff got fooled choosing him
I have not seen any of the plays
but, the radio boys said hanie is looking panicked
he has to understand that the pocket is not going to make him feel as if he has all day
but, he has to judge the pressure better
he gets rid of it alot before he has too
and on other plays he holds it way too long
    and his accuracy stinks
it seems he has been out of synch
he can't possibly be this horrible
I hope he gets a feel for this level of competition this week

  • The injury bug has finally caught up with the Bears. Losing Cutler AND Forte represents losing about 95% of the offense. If other members of the offense don't step up the Bears will fail to make the playoffs and Jerry Angelo should be held accountable for the lack of depth and talent on that side of the ball.

  • In reply to Shady:

Not alot of teams are going to survive losing their starting RB and starting QB in a two week span. We have gotten fucked hard.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

like a cheep whore in a gang bang flick..... I wept when I saw Forte go down....

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

like a cheap whore in a gang bang flick..... I wept when I saw Forte go down....

  • This loss falls right on the players. We left a lot of points on that field today. Martz callled a balanced attack. There were 24 rushes and 24 passes. We could not run the ball. Take away Barbers one decent run and he averages about 2 yards a carry. We lack some quality receivers. I like Bennet, but after him I dont know. Knox does some good but he is basically one dimensional. Hetser did the dumbest thing letting that punt roll into the endzone. There was time for one play, did he really think we had an 80 scoring play? Lance Louis was horrible today. The Chiefs pressure was relentless because they watched film and did not respect Hanies abilities. Roy Williams is a waste of space and has proven a lot of us right. The man has bad hands, period! Im not sayin its all over, but with Hanies play it is not looking very good. If we can make the plays that should be made, we in. We were in the position to win and could not perform, I cant lay all that shit at the coaches feet. We couldnt even pull off a fuckin pooch punt today...FIRE TOUB!!..... man it's been rough afternoon.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

Murph I agree with everything you said but Martz did not call a good game. Once KC's defense started treating our O like a fire drill, we needed some 3-step drops, quick slants, misdirection, screens, anything to slow them down. Martz just kept on calling for 7-step drops with no one staying home.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

    Wow,"fire Toub" ??

  • In reply to IrishSweetness:

That was tongue in cheek my brotha.

  • no new thread???no..... I think blogfader is pounding kegs of Old Style at Rossi's after this game like 12 oz curls...hey somebody get over there and make sure he hasn't passed out in the corner of the bar. Wish I was there with you blogfader because I would be drowning my sorrows right next to you next round on me!?

It's like Willie Nelson's song Gotta Get Drunk. When the doc says you'd better start slowing it down; "There's more old drunks than there are old doctors so I believe I'll have another round."

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

    i'll drink to that

This Bears Season Has New Life With Arrival of Caleb Hanie
The Bears turned the corner on the 2011 season, veering onto Favorite Lane from Underdog Boulevard. They haven’t just been winning games. They’ve been whipping teams at the line of scrimmage, scoring points in huge chunks and assuming a position near the very top of the NFL’s table. Then Johnny Knox fell down. Cason intercepted... Trac, of all people, that's fucking weak.
    Really weak.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Oh come now brownie. All I have is sick humor after a loss like today. I can't believe hanie is as ineffective as he has been the last two weeks. I wasn't taking a shot at Jeff. I can either take the comedy route or blow a gasket which is the lesser of two evils. I really can't believe the Bears think they're gonna find solid back ups past the 4th round. MB is right, angelee is lacking when it comes to the critical positions in the draft.

  • Watching us piss away games to the fucking Raiders and Chiefs has tested my resolve to the core. After hearing so many fucking idiots talk shit about Cutler and then watching him WILL victories to happen it is truly sad to see a competitor on the sideline like that.

Martz's inability to call a complete game is beyond frustrating.

  • It is sounding like Lovie is about to make something big happen.

  • Too fucking pissed for words. I like to think I am the voice of rationality around here, because - well, I am...but pissing away a game to the fucking Chiefs, no - beyond pissed off. How the fuck does that happen?
Martz - go coach a college team to consecutive losing seasons, you dim-witted retard.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Not like we have that difficult of a schedule left, but if we can't even beat the goddamn Chiefs... sigh...

  • Fuck it, I am rooting for the Giants. I can't stomach a Packers undefeated season. I

  • Mike Martz, your car is waiting.
Roy, you can fucking walk to the hotel you dipshit motherfucker.

  • Losing to the Raiders was one thing, but the Chiefs? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • 1) The Bears got a pass last week because it was Oakland and Martz let Hanie touch a football for the first time in 6 months. They get a mild pass this week because of Forte going down (especially if Dallas and New Orleans both lose), but this certainly makes things a bit more dangerous going into the home stretch with Green Bay still on the schedule.

    2) In fairness to the Bears, our defense allowed 3 points all game other than that fluke. Our offense put together 14 points worth of decent drives that disintegrated into a total of 3 points thanks to mental mistakes by Barber and Williams. No excuses, but we did have some decent plays.

    3) Just like Green Bay last year, we can back in to the playoffs despite the injuries. If we somehow scrape by these last games into the 6 seed, we will probably have Cutler and Forte back. We can still be dangerous come playoff time. Just have to get there.

    4) As long as the Martz departure happens gracefully, I think we'll be fine. The potent plays may suffer a bit, but this team really needs mistake free football to match our defense and special teams' strengths. Martz wasn't the best fit.

    5) If I'm Matt Forte after this scare and the Bears make the playoffs, I'm not playing another down until I sign a contract. His agent can sit down and talk it out until something is signed, but that guy has way too much on the line for the kind of physical risks he takes. Oh, and CJ2K isn't playing bad these days either.

    6) I really hope the quick change Lovie is talking about isn't signing Donovan McNabb, Brett Favre or anyone else. At this point, I think Elway might be tempted to take the job just so he can justify finally firing Tebow by helping the Bears get a win in Denver. But even Elway, the answer is no.

  • In reply to NewBearInTown:

Honestly, NB, Cutler isn't going to come back riding the white horse. He's done for the year. Forte will come back with little burst or shake and bake. Basically Chester the Molester. We're done unless the D and ST's score 14-21 pts/gm and the O holds them to 0. Apparently Hanie is a 3 picks/gm kinda guy so we need at least 4 TO's/gm. Not good.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

To be fair Hanie only had one pick today. The Roy "I can't catch a cold" Williams caused the second one and the last one was just a heave.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Listen, if you're right, then we're done. No team wins games without their starting QB and RB, especially when that equals 90% of the team's offense. Oakland is trying valiantly, but Carson Palmer is a lot better than Caleb Hanie.

But if they get healthy, there is no denying our offense will take a step worth about 15 points a game forward. Even if Forte is splitting carries with Barber, he can still be dangerous. Even if Cutler is only 80%, he is this team's leader on offense. That's enough to win playoff games. And anything can happen in a playoff game.

  • In reply to NewBearInTown:

You're smoking something really fun or sprinkling your cornflakes with contraband sugar. Wake up and write off this season. Angelo has provided NO depth...Hanie is a joke...no Cutler for weeks...no Forte for weeks...no wide receivers. The only thing the Bears are backing into is a huge NFL dong.

  • So at least it looks like we are getting a free pass... Cowboys, Falcons lost...Giants look like they are done, and we will all root for Dem Saints as they will knock off the Lions and keep the status quo for playoff posiions... now we need to figure out what the fuck to do with our offense!!!

  • In reply to RenoBear:

I mentioned the same thing earlier but then the process starts all over next Sunday:
    Bears (7-5) @ Denver
    Dallas (7-5) @ NYG (6-6)
    Atlanta (7-5) @ Carolina
Vikings @ Detroit (7- 5 assuming a loss to NO tonight)

  • God, I am sick of rooting for Green Bay.

  • In reply to M Onan Batterload:

    Yay. Giants lose.

Get 'em next time, ghost of Charles Martin.

  • In reply to M Onan Batterload:

Bad coaching is what that was. Coughlin was so excited to score points, he forgot he was supposed to be letting the clock run a bit so Rodgers and Co. couldn't do what they do.

  • In reply to NewBearInTown:

Blah Blah Blah. It's obvious that supernatural forces were at work. Not satisfied with putting the whammy on the Bears, they had to rub our faces in it by making us root for Aaron Rodgers all goddam game long.

So I call upon the ghost of Charles Martin, next week, when we don't need the Peckers to win - we don't, do we? - ghost, redeem yourself! Amen.

  • Tebow?

  • In reply to Shady:

Fuck T-boner...I hope Major Penis fucks his finger just like neckbeards'!

  • In reply to lobotobear:

Close, but the answer we were loooking for was "Fucking Dead!"

  • ready to see suhless lions get drilled.

  • from LDL's postgamer....

"It's just one game"....no LDL it's two games now we've lost in a row... crikey did you get amnesia? at this time we should be 9-3 not 7-5...

I do like that it's the team that lost this game as he mentioned..not one individual...agree 100%......from coaching all the way down to the ball sniffer! would not put this on the D, they looked as usuall ready to play.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

But as others have pointed out previously, how is he going to learn a system that is absolutely foreign to him or achieve any repoire with the players in a week's time? If they do sign him, it's a pure PR move...

  • In reply to tobijohn:

    with out defensive capabilities
we have to figure out how hanie can get us 14-17 points
pull back on "the whole playbook"
    and realize his meager strenghts
    and play to him
    use quick short passes
    to our tougher recievers
and ask them to use their legs
to get another yard or two

we had no completions to the backs
and when we did throw their way
the pass was too late into the play
    the d was able adjust

we need to go to the
    20 play scoring drives
    that last 8 minutes
    2 a half
    admit it
and be more like the old school
    our regulars are out
so the play calling must adjust
    way back to simple

get rid of roy and use hurd
    he is a tough mother
    willing to grind it
    same with bennet
and spaeth for 3-4 yard receptions on a 2 step drop
and if you want to air one out
    how about early
    like the 1st qtr
    not late in the 3rd

  • Well, Martz has given his notice, he's gone, so what the hell let's get...actually.... do not want McNabb...he was done when he left the skins. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place....I know...let Cutty and Tice do the play calling. What the hell can't hurt right? I mean we're stuck with Hanie, so who knows what works best more than the guy who has been in the trenches the most. Cutty would argue with the calls anyway..so what the fuck? Let him have a shot at it. It's not like he has much else to do anyway...

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

Madd. did he give his formal resignation?

  • In reply to lobotobear:

This is where I saw it, for what it's worth.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

bad link bra..but I read the article after you posted and found it. couldn't come soon enough....

  • I don't know gents.

Not sure what's left of this season if cutty and matty are out maings. The coaching is regressing. Just don’t know. Injuries have kind of ravaged our season already.

Within 3 fucking weeks I’ve gone from giddily expecting a 12-4 finish, HUGE mothersucking GB payback IN fucktown, and a possible run at the big show… to this. It’s just fucking tragic. Unlucky tragedy.

If anyone doesn’t think we’re paying for last year’s insane injury luck… then guess what. You get that opty once in a millennium… and we fucking blew it.

I’m just really bummed out. We had a real shot this year, a real shot. Fuck me.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    no MB.......... FUCK US!!!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    the tragedy goes through denver
we will lay it on the line
    one more time
    we have been snakebitten'
but we still have some anti-venom
    called heart
    and today every player knows
they did not play with heart
I say we have to show that bear spirit
lovie will not stand for this
    they will play with passion
or every job will be at stake
    with another lackluster effort

  • In reply to MB30SD:

i am glad you finally showed up
I thought maybe you drowned yourself
    or something

you always say that we have weak backups
    due to poor mngmt.
today the relief did not bring the energy
    that one would expect
    our second tier looked weak
this is why I believe our system does not always get the best
    of the drafts
we are proving that by the way our players step in to fill the loss of 1st stringers

  • the sad part about the last two games....how much we fucked ourselves... Raiders & Chiefs didn't beat us..we beat ourselves..that's the bottom line folks...

"We let ourselves down" and that's the part that hurts the most.

  • I have to ask what happened to all the Haine support??? How many were on here saying Haine would do well and be great and easily get us wins over KC, Seattle and MIn. No problem all based on his performance in the NFC championship. While I asked how is that possible when all he has done all year was sit on the bench. I thought how ridiculous it was for Hughes to state that Haine was better than Palko, Jackson and others left on the schedule. Now how dumb a statement was that?!? I even said maybe Haine will be worse. Now Haine is a POS and sucks according to so many and now want the third stringer or McNabb. Sorry state of Fan-dom on this site!!!
Fact is, Haine couldnt succeed not when teams can scheme for him. A rather weak Chiefs team sacked him 6 times and he threw for how many yards?? Bears are not making the playoffs unless other keep losing but dont expect much if they back in.

  • In reply to stats3599:

stats...simple this was a team effort...all fucked the football.

this was like watching a monkey fuck a football..you puke in your mouth a little bit, but you just can't stop watching and wondering if the monkey will get his pecker caught in the laces.

  • In reply to stats3599:

dude, go fuck yourself you clown. Sick of you showing up talking smack. Beat it jackass.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Talking smack? Yeah thats what that was!, you're a total tool who cant tell the difference between shit talk and facts....grow up and make this site better , I question the folks like you that were up Haines ass so far that you tasted his farts before he pushed them out and now you want out. Hows it feel and taste NOW Ass Clown of the Blog!?!

  • In reply to stats3599:

    hanie is not this bad
    he has been brutal
but, put those others that you mention
in a martz offense and tell me
would they fare any better after 2 games
it takes a special type of talent
    to operate the martz sytstem
and it took cutler a bit to get proficient at it
    martz has said
nothing has to change hanie is capable
    of running the whole playbook

    well maybe after 16 games
    but this is now
and martz has to figure this out
    just as much as hanie
and both need to do what is proper and right for the team
as it faces the coming schedule
    it is managable

  • In reply to huntinbare:

I agree, but I didnt mention those initially. my whole beef about Haine was that I couldnt understand how could we think that he would succeed when he was terrible in preseason and hadnt played all year yet so many of us thought this kid was gonna do great. So thats why I questioned folks that were delusional about that. a fan is a fan is a fan but lets be real!

  • In reply to stats3599:

You're glad that your pessimism proved correct, because now you get to say 'I told you so.' Any true Bear fan would rather be proved wrong. You don't belong here.

  • In reply to M Onan Batterload:

"Any true Bear fan would rather be proved wrong."
wtf does that mean? if anyone says something right, than you arent a true fan??? I dont get that logic! I dont beliond here cuz I thought he was going to fail. what about the others that say we wont another game or are optimistic about the remainder of the season?? yeah OK.
it sucks when the team you root for loses but I also realize how difficult it is to win in the NFL. there's no upside to being correct in this case I have yet to state I told you so. I for one wasnt a fan of Haine for the reasons I stated. I just didnt think he would do well and he hasn't. It certainly doesnt make you a poor fan by stating the obvious. I think being a better fan is being gutsy enough to not just say things because you want them to be. Just my opinion.

I don't recall anyone pining for Enderle or McCown pal. People were optimistic that Hanie could manage a game well enough to let the other parts of the Bears team produce a victory. Then he went and missed every type of throw imaginable, took huge sacks that took us from the 5 to the 32yd line, overthrew a wide open Bennett for an easy TD, etc.

Support for Hanie waned as he continued to fuck up every opportunity. No one has called for Enderle or McCown and i just scrolled through the entire days worth of posting and can't find one that mentions that we need to bring in McNabb to start. What in the fuck are you talking about? Get your shit straight about the fandom on the site. People are pointing out the reality of the types of playcalling that is not working out, the shitty play of the qb, etc.

lol....yeah I'll get my shit straight. thanks for the advice....lol yeah I guess no one said anything about McNabb or Haine. have a nice day :)

    go away dbag. fucking troll

  • In reply to MB30SD:

No trolling here. You seem to think that I made this personal. Ms. I simply said that its funny folks are chirping about Haine now that he is doing shitty when just two weeks ago he was our savior but you took that personal. Incredible. there is nothing troll about that. Idiot! so fuck off and YOU leave Butt Plug!!

  • In reply to stats3599:

why were people not allowed to believe that this guy could at least semi manage a game? If all other parts are working well and you plug in a guy that you are confident won't actively lose you the game that is not blowing the guy it's just being optimistic. He is a huge upgrade over Collins and people felt he could perform just well enough to not piss away games to the AFC West.

Now that it has become apparent that he is actively fucking our chances with our OC doing him no favors why can't we call it like it is or seems to be. No one said he was the god damn savior. jesus. People are chirping about him doing shitty because he is fucking doing shitty.
