  • I hope that the 49ers can give the Lions their FIRST defeat today.

Not so optimistic about the Rams chances though.

When are you having your first beer Jeff?

  • 4:15 kickoff.

  • Just win baby.

We lose and I wont be as down as some of you guys, but there's no way we'll make the playoffs like that.

My jerry shitcan machine will be in full effect though (like it isn't always)

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Even when we suck moose wang week after week, I make a point to watch the games. Serious addiction. I think we win this week but ...

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

yep. not always a healthy one canda.

  • Irish, I liked your post about weed and wine. I esp liked the part about sobriety and loser friends. When I quit drinking I found out most of my drinking buddies were people I barely knew and not friends. Kind of a shock to the system but once I figured that out it was pretty easy sailing.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

In college the first trip to outerspace was on the lysergic
it was profound; and that type of foundation; kept this body from using cosciousness altering substances in a lighthearted manner.

I have spent the days in altered states trying to pierce the questions of existence
even at parties I ended up outside gazing at the stars and trying to find some wisdom from an inner voice

In highschool I had a girlfriend who's brother-in-law; was a deep into mysticism. He sat me down one night alone in a room and some amazing sh-t started to unfold.
He could make the room disappear; so that the only thing left to visual perception, was his head/face. It was sorrounded by scintillating specks of multi-colored light; shimmering
after a few other mind bending sights
i had to tell him what was happening

he said these were just parlor games
brought on by combining syllables in vibrational patterns

he also told me taking drugs were like going into a room
in the center is the book of life; with all it's answers in orderly fashion
the drug is like throwing a stick of dynamite in the room
the pages are floating through the air
and as you grasp page one to read; it has some truth
    but; the next one you get ahold of is page 279;
    nothing in it's proper order

it was a life changing experience
    that I was greatful for

  • In reply to huntinbare:

I happen to like Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

Awesome. Remember the steve jackson series? Or the Ninja series ? Man, good memories.

  • In reply to huntinbare:

  • the kids picking games was a great treat jeff thanks
the counts rant was brought to us by the letter's
    F and GD
    loved that also
maybe you could do a bit with my favorite "Grover"
he is so loose and emotional
his voice is just what is needed in a locker room pep talk
the helmet cocked sideways on his little blue head

  • The philosophy of the Bears has always been predicated on defense. If the defense collapses tonight what do you do?

  • In reply to Shady:

Keep trying... but as fans, just enjoy the ride without all the stress and worrying.

Then round up the village and the torches and pitchforks and head over to jerry's office.

  • Why aren't we trying to go after Brandon Loyd or Eddie Royal? I mean Lovie already screwed Brandon Loyd over once so he might not be too interested..never understood why they got rid of him anyway...he was pretty good in the preseason before they cut him, but at least these guys can catch the fucking ball!
Oh, and the article about having the three step drops and quick release is a bunch of fucking shit too we did that quite well last year with Earl and Greg in the middle...oh wait ..we traded Greg and now he's excelling, and Earl got hurt and will probably be gun shy after this injury, so that screws idea!!!
I think we should give Roy Boy a ride down the road so he can embarrass another team and pick up Royal or Loyd. Can't be any worse than what we got now.

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

because our gm is a fucking buffoon.

Stooooop with aligator-arm olsen already please fucking god. And Earl doesn't know the meaning of shy.

...BUT, if we're going to get a WR in FA, it might as well be a grown god damn man. Get marshall for a 3rd and a 7th (which would be either a terrible tiny-school QB, a terrible white safety, or some samoan runningback that dissapears otherwise).

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

From what I remember Lloyd could catch the ball but he was out 6 weeks with a hangnail. I'm sure he'll never wear a Bears uni again. Royal, yes please. Marshall, FUCK YEAH and pretty please.

  • From the dylan family songbook
this weeks sad songwas penned by poppa D
It comes from the aptly titled album
    Oh Mercy

    Broken tackles broken plays
    Broken assignments broken Jay
Broken runs on an end around
Broken catches lay on the ground

    Martz aint' jivin'
    Lovies not joking
    Even the players say

Seems like everytime we line up
    to turn this game around
Another flag just hit the ground

    Broken pockets broken plays
Broken coverage and our safeties pay
Broken playbook filled with seven step drops
3 and outs another drive stopped

    Martz aint' jivin'
    Lovies not jokin'
    Marinelli's out of breath

Seems like every time our line
    needs to create some space
Things fall to pieces in Matt's face

We've got broken owners investing in broken advice
Broken dice Being rolled by a broken Tice
    Broken bodies broken bones
Late plays come in on broken phones

    Martz aint' jivin
    Lovies not jokin'
    Even the fans are swearing

Broken focus as each play starts
    Broken clipboards broken depth charts
Broken solutions tearin' this team apart
Stands are filled with broken hearts

    Houndog howlin'
    Bull frog croakin'
    Take a deep breath
    feel like you're chokin'
    Even this season
    feels like it's broken

  • In reply to huntinbare:

    Fucking brilliant, Huntin. Well done.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

you're high right now... aren't you doc?

...did we find out if it's twins yet?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Does Lovie like the Jumbotron?

    And no, no twins. Ass.

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    put. the. bong. down. doc!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

As Doc Holiday said, "I've not yet begun to defile myself"

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    Good one Doc.

  • hunti, what did you ask last thread?

...oh yeah, Swole. It's from our safety Merriwether's rap song. It means:

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Clipped yet?

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    no. escared.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    me neither. me too.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Damn, I thought it was a reference to a swollen member. Hard to imagine an old white guy isn't hip.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

thanks MB for putting a new reference book into my library of life
    that was an added bonus

    sherman plunket was un-shwole
    that's the texas pronunciation

  • damn, cooley just got blown up by assaman

    Fucking Chaaaaarrrrrliiieeeeeeeee!!!!

    (60. million. hits... six. t.)

  • In reply to MB30SD:

that vid should hit the spot right about now doc.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

GP needs to do a Lovie/Angelo/Martz parody of that famed trip to Candy Mountain. That was GP right?

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

    indeed. good call.

  • bad rex about to get really bad.

    Man that dude... SUCKS.

  • It's a fucking yardsale over there:

And... uhhhh... fuck yeah! And I know litterally nothing about theo esptein (except that he's probably a part of the tribe):,0,7806589.column

"McCaskey also possesses a sharp, open mind and appreciates independent thinking."

    really? Show me motherfucker.

  • hellloooo bad rex!

  • dream team showing up today.

  • Know what… this might be wishful thinking, but I have a feeling that if we don’t make the playoffs and continue to struggle, I think George makes a big move(s). Here’s why:

    1. GB and Detroit are you and surging… and will be tough for at least a few years to come (barring draft day/FA implosion, or their dbag QBs get hurt)

    2. This is George’s first year with the reigns and NOTHING good has been done thus far. He needs to show he’s got what it takes to be successful at this gig. If he does nothing, he sends a loud and clear message about his ability to do this... i.e., he's just another soft, useless McCaskey trust funder.

    3. We haven’t spent money on shit and there’s almost $20M still available… couple that with the very distinct possibility that we’ll lose our best o player and get the second best o player killed if nothing’s done, and you’ve added a bit more necessity to the equation… god knows Angelo refuses to do anything about it for some inane reason.

Maybe my mind just can’t fathom how this ownership could possibly be letting this pathetic run continue, but I just feel like things are coming together to necessitate something big this year. If not, the precipice we’re hurdling towards might just be too deep to climb back out of for years and years to come. No one wants that on their resume. Common George, save our franchise from angelo (and yourselves)… if for nothing else, do it for papa bear.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB, I've got the same feeling. Hope we're right. At the very least launch, Pus Nuts and Ruskell. Let Martz waddle out the door. If they hang onto Lovie, make sure the new GM (if he has any experience) help Lovie with a new OC. If they launch Lovie, get a HC who's expertise is offense. I'd be in favor of promoting Toub if they are too cheap to hire an experienced HC.

To repeat, Job 1 George; launch that worthless GM, his butt buddy and let Martz waddle out the door.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

what are they saving that money for?
is there something coming in the near future that they banked it for?
maybe they've fired all their bullets this year and have no other options

the hawks let down last night in the 3rd period
    it cost them a point
the bears have to be on fire four qtrs.
late in the game as desperate as these two teams are
it may come down to a test of will

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    young... sorry.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

and the chasm below the precipice... ahhh fuck it... you know what I meant.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

George wil probably just trot Teddy Phiilips out there to give fans the hypocritical "big changes coming, continuity is the key" speech. Until these garbage talent evaluators are gone, the Bears most valuable asset doesn't stand a chance.

  • MB (and anyone who is a fan of Mike Brown), this'll get your dander up and your nads swole.

He still refers to the bears as WE

  • In reply to Doc Nitty 34:

god damn doc... god damn it.

Not fair man. not god damn fair. I only wish we had mike back and that he wasn't as injury prone as he was. Man he was a fucking beast. I would take MB in his prime over all four of our shitty safeties.

And as I stated on a few previous threads.... We never should have let manning go. The very second we stabilize the position for the first time in 4 years and we immediately let one of those guys go. Makes me really mad and even sadder. Thanks for posting.

Btw, tony romo… most certainly DOES suck.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    shoulda' paid him to stay
    that is on the braintrust

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Indeed Hunti.

Oh, one more thing. When we shitcan angelo and ruskell how about getting rid of fucking drake too.

Who do I want to replace him... guess whoooooo... Mike fucking Brown. new DB coach for the Chicago bears! Anyone?

  • btw, lions are going to lose... fuck them.

  • TOUCHDOWN 9ners!!!!!

  • 4rd and 5 for detroit MISSED!

9ners are for reals, fuck the lions

  • this thing on? hello?

Know what the announcers attribute much or SFs success this year to? Any guesses?

Yep, "the strength of their offensive line. The true core of any very good NFL team"

You hear that angelo you fucking turdburgler? God you are fucking terrible you hack.

  • jesus... the 9ners are quickly becoming my man-crush (non-bears) team of the year. Man I love harbaugh.

It's so sad our ownership doesn't have the nuts/smarts to have brought jimmy home. damn it.

  • I don't know if I'm right about this but the 9r's got the ball back with 1.51 left on the clock and instead of take the Knee to win the game they keep playing only to get a field goal and turn the ball back over to Detroit., only 5 point's ahead? Is it just me or is the 9r's coach fucking stupid. Always take the win.!

  • In reply to MaddBearfan:

detroit had 3 time outs still madd. no way would they be able to run the clock. They either HAD to score or... no, nothing else, they had to score.

    And they were 6 up.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

oh, and this may be my man-crush talking, but Jimmy is nothing near stupid. That guy is going to be a hall of fame coach if he continues doing what he has over the last 5-6 years.

EVERYWHERE he's gone has turned successful within a couple years. Wish we had him here.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Thanks MB, was watching it in passing a wasn't aware of the timeouts.

  • buh bye Lions.

  • oh, and did you see the fucked up hand shake jimmy gave schwartz? ouch.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

holy shit! there was more... schwartz went after harbaugh for the jacked up handshake!

BAAAAAAHAHAHAHahahahaha. (but you gotta like that in your coach... would lovie have done that? in a million years?)

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Haha yes I'll soon ask you if you've seen that.

  • In reply to Shady:
  • I'm proping this blog up on my shoulders today bitches.

First to say where in thee fuck is everyone?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Got your back MB.....BEAR DOWN!!!

  • In reply to 505 Bears!!:

    thanks 505

  • Anybody else see Jim Scwartz go nuts at Jim Harbaugh after the game? Wow.

  • In reply to Shady:

funny as hell. And while I agree the handshake was pretty classless, the response was a bit much... again, although I would take that kind of fire from my coach any day.

Oh, and as I've said before. Tom brady is not the same tom brady. He's done soon. Just not the same guy. I think I would be too... he's kind of already checked all the boxes, on and off the field. Time to scratch your juevos on the beach tom… as my dad likes to say.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Riiiight. Tom Brady may not be in his prime, but he's still a great QB with at least a handful of productive seasons barring serious injury.

  • In reply to Shady:

I never questioned his skill set shady... I question whether he still wants it as much. I think he's just tired of getting smacked down by the big men. It's not that he doesn't have the same abilities, he just looks a lot let 'into it' and excited about playing.

    Just my gut mang.

Oh, and check this from above: God I love the interwebs… suck it schwartz

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    less not let.

  • 3 hours....In Albuq, we are focused...Destroy the Queens!!!! Bear Down!!!

  • tampa beating up on the saints.

The nfl is a funny place man. Every week is totally different. strange.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Yeah, that's part of what makes it so cool.

  • we all knew it would happen:

    sexy rexy benched.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    "Rex is (not) our QB."

  • Holy shit.

    Sean payton:
    * Broken Knee
    * Broken Tibia
    * Torn MCL

    Coaching the second half.

    Bears are tough mothers mang.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Thats nucking futs.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

He was a bear, but only a bear scab. If he was truly a bear, it would have been a mere scratch. In short, he's one tough pussy.
