  • Let me be first to congratulate RIchard here.

  • Congrats to Richard Dent, a fairly simple and straightforward man who's a total gentleman off the field and was a nightmare on it. Very classy on his part to credit Sweetness with being an inspiration to him. The only thing missing from his speech was demanding that the McCaskey's switch to field turf!!!! Seriously, this is a professional organization that doesn't realize they're hurting their team tremendously with the decision to say with grass at this point. It would be like me going to work and putting together mortgages on a Commodore 64. I don't get it.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Dude! The C64 could totally do mortgages!

  • congrats dent.

Hey Johnny, can you say 'fucking pummeled': http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/6840148/rashad-evans-shakes-rust-dominate-tito-ortiz

Brutal. Bones Jones is going to destroy Rampage and then take out rashad for the title. He’s just too unstoppable.

  • Congrats to the Colonel!

Matty, the thing is that the majority of Bears players prefer to play on grass, and the Bears management prefers grass to reduce the likelihood of injuries. Remember the 2002 injury fest playing on the FieldTurf down in Memorial Stadium in Champaign? I bet that disappointment of that year makes the brass extra gun-shy about switching.

Personally I think it's perfectly reasonable to choose to play on grass -- both management and the players (with some exceptions) prefer grass and believe grass is safer. The REAL problem isn't that... it's that the grass gets DESTROYED because Soldier Field is a multi-use facility hosting sporting and entertainment events year-round.

Plenty of other NFL stadiums use grass -- even in cold, icy climates like Pittsburgh and Cleveland -- but they don't get torn up the way Soldier Field does...

  • In reply to Michael L:

Michael.....all due respect but I believe you're wrong about the players preferring a grass surface at Soldier Field. As a guy who worked for Andy Frain(yes, it was as awesome as you suspect it to be) in college as security at Soldier Field, I can tell you that the grass there is never in good shape. The FieldTurf has come a long way since 2002, and is a better option for this team and for player safety in general. Just because other places use something doesn't make it right.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Well I don't know about Soldier Field grass, but when polled by NFLPA last year the vast majority of Bears players said they preferred to play on grass over infill:

    http://www.chicagonow.com/2011/08/problem-with-soldier-field-turf-is-not-safety/

"But when asked in the 2010 survey which type of field they preferred to play on, 29 of 39 Bears’ players who answered said “grass.” Only two said “artificial infill,” while eight had no preference."

Hey I don't pretend to have any special knowledge of what athletes prefer -- I can only go by what data is released and decide if it is cooked. From what I can tell most NFL players both prefer playing on grass _and_ believe it is safer, except that some of them want to play on turf for performance reasons (presumably mostly superstars who feel they gain a relative advantage over other players on a faster surface).

  • richard is one of the greats. so glad he's recognized as such.

  • Artoo is getting married in a year. I proposed to the love of my life that I have been dating for almost 3 years.

She took me to my first National Football game. She made me my favorite super-heroes costume. She believes in me like no one else.

I have a job offer for 20 dolllars and hour and perdiem or go back to school and take my new career path. Calculus is not worth three more semesters.

My new career will be teaching and I will be signing up to go overseas. My fiance sister has told me how much she makes overseas and the benefits. Always loved being around kids.

So, advice amigos, Take the 20 dollar an hour and perdiem for a semester or just start on my new major?

    Thanks.

  • In reply to Artoo:

I'd ask that woman and do whatever she says, boy!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Amen, I'm with Al. If that girl took you to see the Bears at Soldier Field AND made you that Superman costume, believe me when I say there is no other girl out there for you. She's it, don't fuck it up.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    What Matty said.

  • In reply to Artoo:

Congrats to you Artoo! You sound very happy. Word of advice, ask her opinion but follow your gut. One is going to feel right to you and thats the one to go with. I think she's as lucky as you, because you from the interaction on the blog you seem like one really good guy. (just my gut) So good luck Artoo!

  • In reply to Artoo:

Congrats man! Sounds like you two are a great couple.

As for your dilemma, what are you studying? How disruptive do you think this would be for that career? Depending on the field, it can be not at all (and in fact this can help) to a lot. These days though following the money to finish school, plus getting international experience, really isn't an obstacle in most industries IMHO. But you have to judge that for yourself. Maybe talk to some people in your field for advice.

Teaching English (actually I'm just assuming, but any expat teaching) can be very lucrative and let's you open doors to a lot of new experiences. Make sure you get in with good people though -- not all of these businesses are equally good, and some can be exploitative. Check with people that have been with or are currently with the service.

That said, be careful... you might just like where you end up and stay there for years! =) Every country has a different feel to it, and you almost always get special treatment as a Westerner -- usually people are very nice, although some will try to take advantage of you. Part of how much you'll enjoy things depends a lot on your personality... also on how independent you are.

Honestly I suspect you'll get a lot out of doing it, and enjoy it, but you have to decide for yourself if it's worth it or if it will be too hard being away or if it will derail your career too much. Of course, how it impacts your relationship is important too and should factor in. Would she be going with you?

Good luck, man, either way you go.

  • In reply to Artoo:

Congrats Artoo! She definitely sounds like a keeper.

As for career advise, I agree with Murph. Talk to your lady, but go with what your gut and your heart tells you is the right thing for you.

  • In reply to Artoo:

I'll go with the consensus that she sounds like the girl for you. So get her on this damn blog already!

On career, I say go for the overseas opportunity. Now is the time, before kids and house and all that anchor you to a spot.

While my recommendation is primarily because it sounds like such a wonderful opportunity, I truly think that America is NOT the place to be for the next decade or so (once the shit storm is over, we'll be back, but it will get ugly I think).

  • In reply to Artoo:

Take the money and go forth, young man. And don't screw it up. She got you on national TV.

  • In reply to Artoo:

So she took you to your first game 3 years ago? Come on...Maaaan!!! Start the new major if you can't see doing the other job in the long run. Either way, your wedding colors better be blue and burnt orange!!

  • In reply to Artoo:

Mr. Dent, I'll get to you on a separate post, sir, excuse me .....

Artoo, having named you, I think I should offer up some brotherly, if not fatherly advice - and you did ask for it. Machiavelli said never take advice you didn't ask for. But you did, so ....

Your horizons are only as far as you can see.

Before you hand in your guns, have you done all the shootin' there is to be done?

You're a young man, and the road ahead is potentially a long one. Dropping anchor at this point will undoubtedly lead to you wondering what distant shores are like in the future. In fact these distant shores will go through serious continental shifts and sail by your doorstep ad nauseam until the day you die.

One of my favorite tv adverts ever was of Sir John Betjemen, poet Laureate, sitting in his wheelchair. Off-camera a voice asked: "Any regrets, Sir John?" .... "I wish I'd had more sex....." says he. The camera pulls back and he's right on the edge of the cliffs of Dover, and the logo for British Gas or British Telecom comes up.
    Try this on for size.

"If you really love something set it free ..."
Get her to set you free for a year. If it's meant to be and you two really are meant for each other then you'll end up back in each other's arms no matter what.

    1. Move to Thailand, for example.
    2. Get a job teaching in an international school - do you already have a degree? If so, the cash - while not huge back home in the states - would allow you to live very comfortably.
    3. I've seen the photos. You're young. You're not ugly. If I was a chick, I'd do you. You would have the cream of the crop for manys a year my young Bear - and not even pay for it - even the hood rats over here are incredibly sexy.

A year in the Land of Smiles would give you a number of things. Great experience. An Asian perspective on life. Options. And an insight into into the kind of sexual adventures that Jimmy Caan and Michael Douglas might have experienced back in the day, with some of the most beautiful, fragrant and delicious women on the planet. You may even decide that the Western life isn't for you anymore. They say if you stay more thna a year you never go back.

Now, I've got two little tikes that melt my heart every time I hear them laugh, but I'm 39, I could rampage no longer. It was time to lay them down before somebody shot me. But you're Billy the Kid!

So before you hitch your horse to the same post for the rest of your life, consider what one of Benny Hill's friends asked him one day.

"Benny, you're a multi-millionaire, you're watched all over the world in eighty languages, why don't you just pick a nice girl and settle down, eh?"

To which Benny replied : "Why buy a book when you can join a library?"

  • Better late than never?
This was LONG overdue. On a par with the Baseball's HOF taking so long to elect Bert Blyleven and yet there were/are still "experts" questioning Dent's enshrinement. Still MORE mind-numbing stupidity.

Marquee Hammy issue of the weekend: Houston's Aryan Foster.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

For there to be any doubt about Richard Dent belonging in Canton is insanity. Truly one of the greatest defensive players of all time.

    Congratulations Richard.

  • In reply to MikeV in OR:

That's Arian Foster. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no Black man in america is named Aryan.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I dunno - my next door neighbor is named after Stonewall Jackson. Doesn't get much more Confederate than that.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Jebus H. Does he tell you stories about how his great great grandpappy knows Jack Daniels or do you ever hear him yell, "The south will rise again!!"?

  • In reply to Crown:

Welcome to the South, I guess.
There are some weird cultural dynamics here - but omfg is it beautiful.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Where ya at MBP? Anywhere near the blue ridge mountains? That's a lovely spot.

  • In reply to Crown:

Drove through them on the way out to our new home...but I'm on the coast now. That was an unbelievable drive, through WV and western Virginia...want to buy a cabin out there for summers.
New house, about two miles away, I have saltwater fishing piers, and about ten miles away, beaches. About an hour and a half, we have the Outer Banks. Three hours north, DC.
Coming from the great American desert, this place is crazy...have had egrets, eagles, pelicans, geese, white-tail deer, and assorted other wildlife in our "creek"/marshland behind the house this month.
    I have no complaints.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    I will take that bet

  • Trac, couldn't leak the identity to the Murph man when we were in the draft room the other night? I'm hurt. Seriously, welcome back. I personally have missed your posts.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

Chemical sales and supply Murph. I thought you'd get it.

  • In reply to BigDaddy:

Ditto on the posts thing. I always am glad to see your posts. I thought I'd just keep a low profile so we could all just enjoy talking football without the angst.

  • In reply to #76 Mongo Murph:

He was here along Murph! You didn't miss any of 'em !

  • Congrats to Sackman! Although, no shout out to coach Ditka or Ryan was interesting.

Glad to have your astute football eye back Michael L. You spread unique pigskin knowledge every time you post. You obviously played the game. Most of the Bears seem to want the turf rather than the grass due to its horrible condition and theie belief they are a faster than average team as a whole unit. The fast team concept was true 2 or 3 years ago, but with us getting older and bigger in many positions, I tend to believe that grass suits us better. Undoubedtly, there are more injuries on the field turf. I've played on that stuff and it is absolutely brutal on knees and elbows. That rubber tire shit does not have much give at all. The condition of the grass year after year is an absolute joke. While there are many events and uses for Soldiers outside of the Bears, during the football season, there are less events than you would suspect. There are some; like high school football playoff games, sometimes a concert or the like, their aren't enough outside events to explain the consistently horrid condition of the field. It has to do with maintenance. I feel for the fans that dealt w/ the shitty traffic and weren't able to see their team the other night. For many, that was their only chance for them and their fam to see the Bears and had planned birthday parties or whatever else for their kids. Unexcusable.

  • In reply to Crown:

I'm not surprised, since the public employees are most likely patronage jogs from the machine and unrelated to merit.

  • In reply to SC Dave:

C'mon SC, everything is merit-based in this city.

  • Sharpe's HOF speech getting all the media play.

Nice to see Ed Sabol make the grade, I wonder if Steve Sabol made the ceremony.

  • In reply to gpldan:

It was nice for Sterling when Shannon said, "I'm the only guy in the hall of fame who's the second best player in his own home."

And Deion did get me when he talked about his momma ... but don't tell anybody ....

I didn't watch Marshall Faulk. I could give a fig for Marshall Faulk.

  • HOF Trivia Time:

Who is being kept out of Canton for saying "For who? For what?"

  • In reply to gpldan:

    RW

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Yes, that's right. RW McQuarters. (JK)

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Yeah, that's it!

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Bwahahhahaha! wow. RW Mcquarters!!!

  • In reply to gpldan:

    I won - I won

  • Forte says he's sitting out exhibition games to get a deal done. I don't blame him. The kid hasn't missed a game in three years. He didn't funble once last year. He's had almost elite numbers running and recieving with our porous o-lines. Imagine what he would have done with decent blocking. This would be one the very few occassions that I would support a player hlding out. He's come to camp looking like a tank. Now pay the man!!

  • In reply to Crown:

No shit, Crown. I've been on that bandwagon since Matty asked for a raise.

    Just friggin' PAY him.

  • In reply to SC Dave:

Agreed - not sure what they're doing at this point. Are they a) that far apart on fair value? or b) still holding their load back waiting for someone big to get cut during camp?

  • In reply to Crown:

At least he won't blow a knee out ...

  • vxmcclure23about 2 hours agoRunning back Harvey Unga will practice tonite after missing a few days. Unga told me he was in Utah with wife for the birth of new baby.

Uuuuhhhh, yeah, so that' a pretty good excuse. Let's not write the man off just yet. I'd like to see what he can do with a football.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Unga got run from BYU for bonking his girlfriend (now wife) I think.

  • In reply to gpldan:

that was his wife (at the time his girlfriend). BYU has a ridiculous code of ethics, just silly.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Ahhhh, the lands of Warren Jeffs. I can't believe that state is part and parcel.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

How Jim McMahon got through there is unbelievable. And the fifth winningest QB of all time not being in the BYU HOF is a travesty. He's one spot ahead of old turtlehead himself!

    T. Brady .776
    R. Staubach .746
    J. Montana .713
    B. Rapethisburger .704
    J. McMahon .691
    P. Manning .678
    T. Bradshaw .677
    K. Stabler .661
    S. Young .657
    J. Unitas .645

  • Ohhhh cooooaaaach....

6 minutes ago - by Gene Chamberlain - Urlacher makes pick, but offense wins drill. LB Brian Urlacher came up with his first INT of camp during red-zone 7-on-7, but the offense got the better of the drill with TE Desmond Clark capping it off with a TD catch in a crowd .

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Did Toto-Tofu sign with the Bears or is he still in limbo?

  • In reply to gpldan:

    signed I believe GP

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I can find nothing about Tatufu signing.

Nice to see Dezzy still showing some game. Dez, work on that long snap dude.

  • Clinton Portis is looking for work. The guy had 2 great years on the Broncos. When they traded him for Champ Bailey, it was a big deal out there.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    run away!

  • In reply to gpldan:

No thanks. Portis deteriorated faster than Lohan after Parent Trap.

  • In reply to Crown:

Hey, don't knock that SNL episode she hosted.

  • In reply to Crown:

If Portis had brain cells he'd be dangerous ...

i'll dress up in a ridiculous fashion ergo give the impression that I am humorous and possess a personality. No Clinton. No son, sorry.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Portis was a system guy - take away the Denver OL and scheme, and ...all you were left with was a loud mouth.

  • In reply to gpldan:

We got the barbarian and forte...what the heck would personalitiies do our team?

  • Tune in to NFL Networks!

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

When the Packers had the Super Bowl parade in Green Bay following the win, how was it? I heard nothing about it. Was it on the back of John Deere tractors where there was no power or something?

You try to be funny but you fail miserably just like the bears did earlier this year on January 23rd 2011.when they played the champs.

    Recognize bitch!

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

You sound like Charlie Brown trying to gangsta rap.

  • In reply to gpldan:

You sound like you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

    Typical bear fan.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

Capitalize the B in Bear, you disrespectful tiny fucktard.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Obviously GPL, he is a real gangsta rapper in addition to his MMA career. In between shifts at the dairy farm, he hones his rhymes like Marshall Mathers, walking past the cranberry bogs in his hoodie and Affliction jockstrap.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

    I recognize this Max... UNFUCKINGSUBSCRIBE!!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Still waiting for you & your boyfriend to have Jeff send me that email.

Stop the dick tucking & man up.

I got a kick out your little MMA post too. Another thing you pretend to know about, but in reality know little to nothing about, bandwagon bitch.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

I would put a couple of K on MB30, and that's only because it was a down year for bonuses.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    How about you?

MB has already proven that he is dictucking beta male.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

lol - you are just another internet tough guy. What in the world would I bother getting worked up about you for?

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

Speaking of dicktucking, you must have had an awesome weekend!

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

jesus, you troll just for the false sense of belonging to something… anyfuckingthing don't you? You're actually here all the time aren't you. You are a very sad little man (and I mean that only in penis size, because you’ve all told us how huge you are).

Yes, being a fan of MMA for the last 10 years + (my brother's best friend is an old HS buddy of Dana's) is very bandwagon of me. And why do you even care fuckbag? I suppose you're also a vicious cagefighter who trains with randy and Chuck and all the boys... shit, you're probably Greg Jackson... god knows he has nothing better to do with his precious time that be a fucking shitbag troll on some other team's blog.

God you are a fucking waste of air. Do us all a favor and go fucking drop 315 on your neck next time you’re trying to workout you meathead dickbag.

Ok, in all honesty and mean jokes aside… seriously, fucking split dude. Dissapear. Buffoon.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

" jesus, you troll just for the false sense of belonging to something… "

Stop trying to project yourself on to me.

" You're actually here all the time aren't you. "

Negative. Jeff can vouch for that with an IP check.

" You are a very sad little man (and I mean that only in penis size, because you’ve all told us how huge you are). "

Again you talking about some other man's penis. And you call me sad. And yes I will fuck you up. Email bitch.

" Yes, being a fan of MMA for the last 10 years + (my brother's best friend is an old HS buddy of Dana's) is very bandwagon of me. And why do you even care fuckbag? "

You're a bandwagon TUF douche & you basically just confirmed that with your post. You referencing ESPN too in context with MMA is BEYOND comical.

" And why do you even care fuckbag? "

I don't. I just call it like I see it. You're a band wagon douche that actually makes MMA look worse with your foolish nonsense when talking about it.

" I suppose you're also a vicious cagefighter who trains with randy and Chuck and all the boys... shit "

No, BUT I will fuck you up & choke the shit out you.

    " shit, you're probably Greg Jackson... "

    No. I'm Pat Smith.

" god knows he has nothing better to do with his precious time that be a fucking shitbag troll on some other team's blog. "

This blog isn't even that bad to be honest. It would be better to read if it didn't have ignorant simpleton fucks like you posting on it, but that's how it is on pretty much every blog there is. So. I troll loud mouth fucks like you. It's really that simple.

" God you are a fucking waste of air. "

One day you won't feel that way about yourself. Stop trying to be something you're not, tone down the ignorant remarks & people like me will leave you alone to stew in your own self loathing.

" Do us all a favor and go fucking drop 315 on your neck next time you’re trying to workout you meathead dickbag. "

You really are a piece of shit. I try not to judge, but seriously you're a piece of shit. I hope you haven't reproduced for the sake of future humanity. You are everything thats wrong with this world.

" seriously, fucking split dude. Dissapear. Buffoon. "

Email, please & then YOU can attempt to make me disappear.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

Dude... I'm not even reading your garbage man. I got sucked in again... it was my fault.

You are wasting all of our time dude, in all seriousness. Just go away. From now on you will only get UNSUBSCRIBE from me. Jesus dude.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

How's that job at Henny Penny treating you, tough guy? Only someone with so little real world value would repeatedly state that they intend to commit a felonious assault on a specific person. Do you really want to get your IP pulled and provided to your local and since you're likely not an IL native, federal authorities? Because you keep stating how this isn't a tough guy act, and how you really want to meet up with specific individuals to cause physical harm.
What are you, 25 and lacking for moral support in your family?
It's really interesting how foaming at the mouth you are getting over a football game that you didn't play in, certainly didn't attend, and don't seem to have any interest in moving beyond.
Anyway, you're getting really boring. Can't you come up with some actual football points? Or is thumping your internet chestnuts the highlight of your evening?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB is thew master profiler now, I think we can all agree .....

  • Let's sit Forte for the games, which will be a mess
    http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/29607/bears-should-let-matt-forte-skip-preseason

  • Can anyone tell me why we don't have Rocky McIntosh or Lofa Tatupu on the roster yet??? Pisa is fragile at best, and it appears his years of 200+ tackles and playing 16 games/yr are behind him. If memory serves me correctly, we almost pulled the trigger on a swap of Briggs for McIntosh and their 1st a few years ago. We had to like him enough to consider that, and I know the kid's a beast. BTW, Locklear signed with the Skins(I'm probably late with that info, but I've been busy today).

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    We have this stellar lot:

    Tanner Antile
    Tressor Baptiste
    Dom DeCissco
    Derron Minor
    JT Thomas
    Patrick Trahan

Of this lot, JT Thomas will probably make the team backing up Roach at Strongside. And one of those other names might get tapped to back up Child Support. I should think Tatufu makes a better Mike backup. I would hate a season in which we end up missing Hunter H.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Tatupu ? Two knee surgeries this offseason and a spearated titty muscle in 09. Will his tit ever be the same again?

  • " Only someone with so little real world value would repeatedly state that they intend to commit a felonious assault on a specific person. "

Spare me your "real world value" BS. If you believed in that then you would hold people accountable for the shit they say on here that they wouldn't dare say to someone's face in the real world.

And is it felonious if both parties are willing participants?

" Do you really want to get your IP pulled and provided to your local and since you're likely not an IL native, federal authorities? "

Do it. I live in IL so it will save some time & money, & last I checked I haven't broken any laws. Spare me your idle BS.

" Because you keep stating how this isn't a tough guy act, and how you really want to meet up with specific individuals to cause physical harm. '

No. All I want to do is sit in front your face & see if you would say the things you do on here in the real world. If you didn't then we could have a nice debate, if you did then we would be scrapping. You guys started the tough guy act WELL BEFORE me. I just called you out on it to see if you guys were really tough & you pretty much already answered that.

" What are you, 25 and lacking for moral support in your family? "

LOL what does this even mean?

" It's really interesting how foaming at the mouth you are getting over a football game that you didn't play in, certainly didn't attend, and don't seem to have any interest in moving beyond. "

Yes it's kind of infuriating when little punks like yourself & MB say shit behind a computer that they wouldn't think twice of saying to someone if person.

You're right too about me not playing in that game or attending it. And you're right about me not having any interest in moving beyond it or at least letting you move beyond it. Why would I let you loud mouth ignorant fucks live that down? You don't deserve it in the least bit. or at least some of you don't.

" Can't you come up with some actual football points? "

I tried that already & you people weren't/aren't interested in that. That type of talk is only reserved for bear fans on here & even then it's just one big circle jerk. Who are you trying to kid?

" Or is thumping your internet chestnuts the highlight of your evening?

Actually the recap for the 2010 Packer season was the highlight of my evening.

    You are too funny.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Tell me true - you are Donald Trump.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I would say to you in person exactly what I am saying now:
I don't care - why don't you find a social setting where people like you?
Then you would "try and throw down", get yourself arrested and pick up garbage by the side of the road while I go enjoy an expensive lunch.

  • In reply to January23rd2011:

don't forget gpldan....you dont want him feeling left out......lololololo........GO BEARS!!!

  • In reply to #16 Bears Fan:

Always finish the lol on the letter l. Otherwise you look like a moron.

  • So let me see if I have this correct.

Olin Kruetz took $2 millions + incentives from the Saints instead of $4 Million guaranteed from the Bears?

Was there no math requirement at U-dub?

Who is his agent? Huckleberry Hound or Yogi Bear?

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

How bad was New Orleans' situated at Center? That still seems like too much - it was a one year deal right?

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I believe the Saints lost their starting center as an FA.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

...and I believe that it was just a 1 year deal.

The day I turn down $M guarranteed just shoot me.

  • No OLine help? Hayden wants to sign? We are under the cap we need to make...Anyone else asking, WTF?! Protect Baby Jay..that's should be our new shirts/motto!!

  • Please don't feed the trolls. It just ends up leaving shit all over the blog.

Unbelievable that so much time is wasted on that.

  • In reply to SC Dave:

    Affirmative.

  • In reply to SC Dave:

    +1000

  • On the Score this morning, Forte's agent was reported as having used the DeAngelo Williams contract "as a reference point".

DW got 5yr/38M with 21M guaranteed.

I'm sorry, but the Panthers got absolutely robbed on that deal, and I just don't see Forte getting that deal. Maybe he will, but I can see more like 5yr/25M with 15M guaranteed.

  • Kreutz's one year 2M deal, holy shit - Olin got raked by his agent.

Not a penny less than 4.5M, eh Olin? Ha ha.

  • We paid for Spencer. Now, we won't use him.

I guess I'm happy Garza is playing well at center. Let's hope Louis has found a whole new level in his play, because he was a fucking turnstile last year.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I can't believe wesigned the 27th rated center in football with Garza and Edwin on the roster ...
