    GET SOME!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    PUNK ASS BITCHES INDEED

who is ready for some football?????

  • In reply to sjvl:

Let loose the dogs of war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Looks like we cried Havoc instead ...

  • It's been a long journey from training camp until now. Don't stop now boys...BEAR DOWN!!

  • Is it Christmas yet?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    YES, indeedy sir!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I hope so. I like to receive good gifts. It doesn't seem too good so far on that good gift.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

And as I am typing that Lach steps it up. And withing seconds I hear the heartbreaking words, "Todd Collins". You have got to be fucking kidding me.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

WTF Cutler can stand? Then he can Play... THIS IS THE FUCKIN NFC CHAMPIONSHIP AGAINST THE PACKERS.... Unbelievable... No Leader to me...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

THEY DID NOT JUST PUT TODD COLLINS IN

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Well. When your QB breaks his vagina...you sort of have to work with what cha got.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Cutler is walking on the sidelines. This means HE CAN PLAY. Get your little pouty butt in this NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. This is what you are getting paid millions to do. Whether you have an owie or not---YOU CAN STAND UP; YOU CAN PLAY

  • In reply to BearsChick:

He can't stand up in the pocket, poor Cutty. Packers are being mean to him.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

I can't believe 1: Culter pussed out of this game.
2: Collins is playing quarterback in the biggest game of the year
3: It's only a two possession game, yet our offense sucks so much that it feels like 4.
4: Martz is calling pass plays with Collins.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Every Year.... I pour my heart and soul into the Bears.... Why wont they give the same to us fans... I am dissapointed in Cutlers lack of leadership( even if not playing) how about trying to root your team back into this game. Everytime they show him he is staring into space sitting on the bench, not getting any medical treatment... FUCK... this franchise is so much more and I dont think he understands that....

  • In reply to underway:

    Amen brother

  • In reply to underway:

Will somebody tell me why Hester did not return that punt? Please?

  • In reply to underway:

One quarter, two TDs. It's not unthinkable. Just very very unlikely.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    Hanie warming up.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Well................. with this going the way it has...the Peckers have the right to go to mid-field and piss on the big "C" simple...they wanted it more than us...

  • In reply to BearsChick:

man, what a way to lose this fucking game.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/commentary?gameId=310123003

Kevin Seifert is hysterical over Cutler quitting on the Bears.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Damn it..agree with underway..if you dressed bitch and you can stand you play.. if not go in the locker room and get in your street clothes and stand on the sidelines and be a bitch cheerleader.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

The reasons are so clear why the Broncos let him go, and that's one thing we can scratch off Angelo's CV.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

once again. in the NFC Championship game in 2nd season as Bear. Hurt knee. Is that why the Broncos let him go? I forgot. stop yourself.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I'm amused that you all are calling for Cutlers head when Urlacher may have given GB the first 14 points with some of the worst defense i've ever seen from him. His first half was so bad that when he gave up 24 yards to Brandon Jackson on a 2 yard pass with no blocking in front of him i just started laughing.

It was a great fucking year but we just didn't show up in the first half. Anyone calling for Cutlers head or saying that he quit can fucking blow me. Learn how not to be a fair weather fan. Rodgers really fucked up today but since his defense didn't shit the fucking bed in the first half he was down 14.

Am i pissed that Jay couldn't go? of course. Are any of you doctors? FUCK NO. Do you really think he fucking quit? Howard Griffith said it best on CSN sports. If you hated Cutler or had piled on during the earlier parts of the season you have all of your ammo now. You will be convinced that a professional football player who kept getting off the turf ALL FUCKING SEASON LONG after playing behind the worst line quit? fucking quit? He had a tough half and got fucking hurt. This coming from people if they ever sprained a knee ligament wouldn't be able to get out of bed. Feel free to fuck off you fairweather pussies. Let's run him out of town. yeah, that makes sense. Don't mention why the Packers ran the fuck over us in the first half. Don't mention where the fucking return game was. Don't mention that Collins wasted a whole fucking quarter and that the coaches fucked up by putting him in there in the first place. We learned about that in Carolina when he threw 5 fucking picks or some shit. Don't bring up the soft coverage in the first half, the fucking matador job by Jennings all game. Major Wright playing every bit the part of the rookie. Why bring up facts? Because it's not all Cutler.
UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE my fellow bear fans and bloggers. Only in Chicago can you be in the NFC Championship game and have the fairweather fans call for you job after you've helped bring your team to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game in your second fucking season and then say that he quit when you have no fucking clue how hurt he was. Question his heart behind your computer screens you pussies.
BEAR DOWN ! Great job this year getting to the Championship game. I'm pissed but since I actually know about football I see the great things we did this year as well. Let's take the positives and build on them. FUCK.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

I'm with you, Waffle. I want to know the real story. I'm pissed as hell but that was a team loss. Jay didn't bite on the obvious naked bootleg by Rodgers, didn't give up tons of yards on soft zone coverage and poor tackling, and didn't call a pass heavy game against a Packers front 3 that gave up huge run yardage last game.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

The pass heavy plays were only called after we were down 0-14. Martz had his head up his arse today. He was way too predictable in the first half. When he started getting pass happy he became predictable as well. Martz should have used last weeks game plan.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

It got our QB beaten to hell and then once Collins was inserted, it just got embarrassing. He shouldn't even be holding a clipboard.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

another thing is that THESE FUCKING REFS NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL! they are horrible at what they do!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

The intentional grounding call was piss. I saw a QB last week, don't remember who, he was basically in the grasp and then threw the ball at his RBs feet a few feet away when the RB was looking up field blocking. The pass was going in Hester's direction and was no way worthy of the call. All the calls were on us today, not handing that up as an excuse - we didn't deserve to win - but the officials seemed to definitely favor a GB superbowl.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

heh, that's what Pack fans were saying too after Week 3 loss to Bears, 20-17. 18 PENALTIES for Packers.

  • In reply to PackinAK:

The INT and run after replay was pretty obvious. 2 bad calls in 1 replay. But regardless of the bad calls we didn't do enough to win.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I live and die with the Bears, so I am officially dead.

We had a great season, and I refuse to pick them apart. I will eat my crow and take the abuse I deserve, I guess.

I will say I cannot fathom Todd Collins. Had Haine been #2, we may have had a chance. I am a woman in her mid-40s, and I could have accomplished more than Collins did. He sucks big time.

    FUCK the Packers. Go AFC.

  • In reply to sjvl:

If the Packers had the time, they'd say "FUCK YOU". They'll be too busy preparing for the Superbowl for such trivialities.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Hope they're preparing to lose. Big Ben is going to shred your cheese, asshole.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    This. Lots of this.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

you sir, are an honorable man. Congratulations on a spectacular year.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Cutler got the knee taped and got "the shot" and he still couldn't go. MRI scheduled for tomorrow. I am eagerly awaiting the results so Bears Chick, Underway, Augie, GP and anyone else that thinks that he should have been out there can confirm for us that it was only a partially torn PCL or MCL and that our first talented qb in over a decade who got us to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game in his 2nd year should offically be run out of town and that he just simply refused to go back into the game. Give me a fucking break.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Emotion is the mother of all fuck-ups.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    And assumption, it's father.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

I ride and Die with the Bears... Whoever is leading the offense. But like everyother team. Send Cutty to the locker room and make an official statement about his injury. That silences everything... But he was fuckin pouting before he was pulled from the game... SO you cant play... Become your team mates biggest fan... Not some uninterested sideline corpse...

Jay is our QB... I can live with that... but I can't live with the non existent visual display of leadership... Maybe he was rooting and cheering when the camera was not on him and went back to stiff mode when the camera flashed on him...

I'm very interested to see what Caleb becomes for our organization... Collins should be released immediately... waste of a roster spot...

  • In reply to underway:

    agreed

  • In reply to underway:

o.k...o.k...o.k.. deep breathe brothers and sisters..we don't need to rip each others assholes...we have the other teams and their fans to do that.

I must say I and the family are bummed tonight, enough were we are not even watching the AFC Championship.Hard to watch football when your gladiators are not in it, going to take a few days to breathe, but I must say one thing, I am proud of our team and how far we got..more than I had thought in the preseason. We were one game away from the mother load the FUCKING NFC CHAMPIONSHIP. We have a infrastructure with this team and now we must build on it.

I leave you with this..no one died, we "ARE" the NFC North Champs, and I believe tomorrow will come and go, besides that, lets get ready for the Draft and begin the climb again for next year.....

    o btw......
    Goodnight
    &
    "BEAR DOWN"...............brothers and sisters

  • In reply to underway:

Yeah, I don't think anyone is really calling for his head. We can't afford to let him go. The farm got sold and we have nowhere to keep another pig. I like Hanie. Kid's had no chance and he breaks his cherry in an NFC championship against the Packers. Fair dues.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Jets look like they came ready to play.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    a joke?..

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6051718

  • In reply to hollywood1:

The same way you dissed on Urlacher.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

That would be the defense that the QB rode in on the back of, just like 2006 ... we scored 3 points against the pack last time. Thanks God we had an untried rook basically to save us from the shutout ... imagine THAT result.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Cutler gave up, fucking coward with no heart!... He sat on his ass in the first half and then got kill in the second. He plays only when he wants to. He is not a winner, and I FUCKING HATE EM!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    like a drunken ex

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

to echo waffle's point, there are many ppl to blame for this game:

-All WRs not named Earl Bennett or Rashied Davis
-ALL OF THE COACHES IN THE 1st HALF (and everybody except the defensive coaches in the 2nd half)
-Whoever put Todd Collins as the #2 QB on the depth chart
-Mike Martz for that dumb-ass end around on 3rd and 4 (seriously mike....you are garbage for that)
-Cutler for not realizing his WRs won't fight for the ball

but for those that talk about Cutty not having heart either have not been watching the same 2010 Chicago Bears or are just brain-scrambled. do you honestly think any QB in the LEAGUE could put up the same stats Cutler did w/ this offense? compared to other Os, our WRs are puny, we have THE WORST OL in the damn game today, and Mike Martz wasn't doing him any favors by (again) taking the run away very early.

you can say it's all Jay; deep down, if you do say that, you just don't like him. Admit it and stop hiding under the "I'm a die-hard Chicago Bears fan" guise. if you don't like the QB, fine. but don't sit up here and act like the team would've been in this position WITHOUT him. defense didn't do Jay any favors by letting Rodgers blitz their asses on the first drive. be sensible & logical ppl....

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    Maurice Jones-Drew:

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:
  • In reply to Mastodon:

Yeah, I'd side with Urlacher on that as it happens, just came across the comments in an article. Cutelr didn't pull anything during the Giants game, and that was the time to do it. 17 hits. Kudos.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

and what's the common denominator of all of those ppl? they were WATCHING while jay was PLAYING! period.

btw: who the fuck is Kirk Morrison?

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

As others have said previously, I'm waiting to hear just how much damage there was to the knee. He does, at least, deserve that much.

However, *if* I were a Bears fan watching that, I would've been pretty ticked at his sideline demeanor. Why didn't he ice the knee? Why was he just standing? And why, above all, didn't he cheer when Hanie scored a TD? If that had been my Packer backup QB, I never would have forgiven him for that!

  • In reply to PackinAK:

Or sitting next to him when the D is on the field giving him some pointers or things that he sees against the Pack D. He has ot have some knowledge to contribute right? Right?

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Like Lach said, Jay is tough as hell. He took a beating all year, never bitched, never moaned about the porous offensive line. He kept his head down. That's why I can give him the benefit of the doubt now. He is our QB.
Martz, on the other hand, needs to explain wtf he was thinking with the pass heavy ratio in the 2nd and 3rd quarters; it was ridiculous.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    "Jay is our QB"

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

You're joking right? We were killing them when Hanie went hurry-up. The running on 1st and 2nd downs in the first half is what killed us, that's when we lsot the game. The Bears don't do comebacks - unless JMcM is in at QB, and have never even come back from a 7 point deficit in the playoffs. We went 14 points down, it was all over. Didn't everybody think that? Deep down honestly?

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Here's my point of view -

Jay, standing and walking > Hanie > Collins

If he can stand, put his ass in shotgun and have him wing that fucking ball.

Was the game Jay's fault? No. Am I for running him out of town? No. Do I still have the Bear-goggles on when I analyze his game from a "wouldn't rather have anyone else" viewpoint? No.

I'm disappointed that the toughest fucking QB in the NFL admitted his leg hurt and let himself be taken out of the game, when there is no tomorrow...

Does that make me a fairweather fan? No. Does that make me a pussy? No. My own lack of willingness to go out and get dealt 60 (or even 2) sacks makes me a pussy.... but being disappointed does not.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

we don't even know what happened and we make all these assumptions about how hurt he is and how he should be playing. But i do know that Todd Collins being in there was like giving up.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

could not have said it better, bro.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

In a 1-possession football game, you just cannot piss away 2 possessions by inserting Todd Collins into the game.

The Bears offensive line came a long way this year, but it's still not nearly good enough to protect a proven, stationary target like
Collins, who pass rushers can find in total darkness.

By the way, Troy Aikman, while you were applauding the decision
to insert Calab Hanie as "brilliant", your producer was showing a replay that pretty clearly showed that brilliance had nothing to do with it because it looked like Collins got HIS bell rung.

This Blog, virtually unanimously, pronounced Todd Collins "Unfit to see the field again under any circumstances" after his hideous appearance against Carolina but, once again, as with the the "Anderson starting over Idonije" situation, the Bears' "Brain Trust" stubbornly fails to recognize what serious fans saw as painfully obvious.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    PAINFULLY obvious.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Damning evidence, Zebra Crew:

Former Head of NFL Officiating, Mike Pereira, saying you blew TWO calls on the same replay at the end of the first half.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

They better hope the entire game is not analyzed... too embarrassing for the league and the Packers.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    Good grief....

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Was

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Was Hanie the "emergency only 3rd" QB, meaning that Cutler AND Collins had to be "injured" and unable to play? If so, putting Collins in long enough to have a play where he "looked like be might have" been hurt makes sense.

But Martz should have called a QB sneak so Collins could have pretended after the first play.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Can't answer your question, but ---

The Talking Heads were criticizing the coaching decision to not start Cutler or Collins in the 4th - remember? At that point they had no other QB, and by the rules Cutler and Collins were both out of the game. What would have happened if Hanie was knocked out? ------

  • In reply to Mastodon:

I think the big question really is his maturity. You have to understand that when your offensive leader is sulking on the sidelines, it just looks bad for the whole team. I understand he takes too much unfair criticism, but he isn't doing much to dispel or disprove it.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Don't get the Cutler hate. He had a crappy game and got hurt. He didn't play well, Todd Collins should never have been signed and Hanie did pretty good for a 3rd stringer. Hester didn't have a good game. Martz didn't have a good game. The refs didn't have a good game. Oh well. We almost tied it up with a 3rd string QB. People are calling for Lovie's head for that? Green Bay has way more talent than we do. People are questioning Cutler's heart? I've seen him take a huge pounding this year and never say a word. WTF is wrong with some of you guys? We just got beat, plain and simple. That's sports. That's the way it goes sometimes. I'm as disappointed as anyone else on this blog but I'm not going to forget a pretty good season because we lost this game.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

"Green Bay has way more talent than we do."

And whose fault is that? This is exactly the problem and what is unnacceptable. That should not be the problem. We need a new GM at minimum.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Games(s). Crappy games. When it counts. Like an NFC championship game versus the Packers in front of your (admittedly Xanax-ed home crowd).

And Hester didn't have a good game? Whoa Nelly ! Hester was wide open all the first half - and I've ragged heavily on Hester as a receiver in the past. But he was open today - in the first half anyway, and I may well have been the only one on here who was sober watching that game.

I'll take getting beaten - no one's saying we were better than the Packers - cos we're not. 13 players on IR and they're still way better than us. Kudos Packers. No, it's the crappy play of Cutler every second game and the roster that Angelo put together that pisses me off.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Hey, Hanie looked pretty gosh darn good. If I were you guys, I'd lobby to keep the kid.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    Spot-on, Johnny. To recap:

#1 Cutler is not a pussy--he played balls-out all year long, often with less protection than a sailor on shore leave in Thailand. The mystery is, though, why do you not try to play in what will be your last game of the year (if you lose)? Until we know what happened and/or what is wrong with his knee, though, it's all speculation and it's all unwarranted.

#2 The defense sucked cheese during the first quarter, and wasn't much better in the 2nd. If the D had played the 1st quarter the way they played the 2nd half, we'd be celebrating a Chicago win right now.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Hey as a Sailor.. I resent that shore leave comment... lol.... we strap it up!!!!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Ignorance, thy name is Joe "I got to Network play-by-play YEARS before I might have because of my Daddy" Buck.

Troy Aikman says it WASN'T grounding but YOU say it WAS?

Tell us again, Joe, how many NFL games did YOU Quarterback?

A really good sportscaster not only knows what tosay and when to sayit, he also knows when to SHADDAP!

Oh, while we're on the subject, Joe, your Dad, Jack, WAS excellent in his time but, like Harry Caray, he held on to the job like he was Pope LONG after his skills had deteriorated to unacceptably low levels.

His last couple of years on the Monday Night Football radio brodcasts with Hank Stram (who also stayed too late at the party) were AWFUL. Basically unlistenable. He didn't know when to get off the stage.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

and you'll have Cutler NEXT year........FUCK.

  • In reply to paker12:

    wait a minute.....Cutler next year??.....yeah!!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Fuck that Johnny. How DARE you call out Urlacher!! Did you WATCH THE FUCKING GAME?!? Cutler sucked and belonged on the sideline, injury or no. Urlacher got beat on one play, but the defense he leads gave up 14 points against the "invincible" Packers O (although it would have been 21 on the zebra gift vs. Jennings had the ball not been intercepted... oh wait... yeah that was URLACHER with the ball.)

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Dave, by computer error i left out Briggs and Melton and Adams. How many 16 yard runs to Starks have? How many 20+ plays did the pack have in the first half? How can i not call out the D in the first half? Believe me i watched the game intently. Does Urlachers and the D's second half performance destroy the first half? yes. Does it somehow make it irrelevant? no, the half still happened. My point was that people will gladly put it all on Cutler which is bullshit.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Urlacher should have run through that Rodgers arm tackle. A touchdown at that point would have been HUGE.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Yeah that sucked

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I loved the combination where the receiver got mugged from behind and then they called a late intentional grounding. That was pretty great.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Yeah, it's like the officials got together to review how much they were being bribed to make sure GB won.

What really peeved me was the review on the INT before halftime, when it was blatantly obvious that Knox had touched the guy on his way to the ground, but after review they still gave him the 8-yard return. I didn't think that it was enough to say "no INT," but to not see the contact? Come ON. Sure, the 8 yards made no difference whatsoever, but the ref saying "call stands" with no changes makes it look like they were being lazy, or bribed, or both.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Bribed, or incompetent. I believe the former.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

And th ABSOLUTELY inexplicable whistle to stop the play then Forte picked up Cutler's fumble and started running. That could have been six.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

That pissed me off, but it was the correct call, I find the rule utterly bizarre though...

    http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/fumble

  • In reply to IBNO:

Hear from the OTHER leader of our team bitches:
    http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6051718

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

u need to fucking learn who u r talking to! calling one a bitch for his opinions, and another for his stupidness. is fucking on called for! Fuck it! I think cutler gave up! knee or now Knee. he did NOT SHOW UP TO PLAY!

  • In reply to IBNO:

Pretty impressive to blow 2 calls in 1 replay.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

You're right, none of us are Doctors. Cutler's knee could be severely injured. Urlcher got juked out of his jock on that dump off pass for a first down at a critical point in the first half. Jennings got abused all day by the Pack and the refs. Team loss, I hear you. I'm fairly certain that NOT FUCKING ONE OF US would have had Collins listed as the #2 over Hanie and none of us would have played him over Hanie. Cutler was walking around. That's where the anger comes from, he was walking around on the sideline with absolutely no treatment or anyone working on his knee. I've played football with a dislocated shoulder, a broken hand, and a separated shoulder for free. Our heartburn comes from him standing and walking around looking like he could play. If he couldn't, he should have stayed in the locker room. Chicagoans are too proud to watch their franchise QB stand around looking like he just doesn't want to play. That shit don't work for me. I'm a Butkus, Ditka, Singletary, McMahon kinda guy. Pain is temporary, glory is forever. We lost, and I'm sure we will all be fine in the morning. Only one team wins each year, and this year it ain't us. It's not the loss, but the perceived lack of effort that bothers me. I hope Cutty, Martz, Lovie, Rod and Tice are all back next year to learn and get better and continue to progress. Just don't walk around on the sideline pouting if your knee is really torn up. You shame yourself, and you shame us. That's all I got, except for a nice juicy GO FUCK YOURSELF for the trolls that can't read and continue to post here. Seriously, FUCK YOU AND THE WHORE WHO GAVE BIRTH TO YOU. I'm out.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

On your diatribe against Jay - whatever.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Ronnie Lott had a part of his finger cut off for a playoff game, now that is a badass

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Caleb Hanie sure is getting a lot of love for throwing a pick-6 and the game ending INT.

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

Ageed. Haney is not the answer but I think he does deserve a little respect just for coming in out of nowhere and leading a couple of nice drives. Third stringer that outperformed what I though he would do going in the fourth quarter.

  • In reply to jbenton:

The ddue had basically never played in the NFL before - he had thrown what ? 3 or 4 passes ? 8 ? That was an NFC Championship! Cutler's completed 5 years - he's a vet - and he's getting judged now. Hanie was pretty damn good out there, considering. He was better than Cutler. He moved the ball at least.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    sour grapes

  • In reply to BearsChick:

SOmebody better talk some shit to Cutler to get him back out there. I don't care if he can only step back and throw or hand off, he still gives us a better chance than, COLLINS??!!! This is history repeating as farce.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    Did cutler just bitch out?

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Jay Cutler is more of a disappointment than our porous defense, more of a disappointment than our coaches (who clearly decided they didn't need to prepare the team for this game), and more of a disappointment than the o-far terrible officiating. ANY other quarterback would be fistfighting trainers to get into this game.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Down 14, easily come back from... then collins goes in. really? Fucking collins?

  • In reply to BearsChick:

We can still WIN if Cutler goes back in. That's our best shot. He is not "too injured to play". Brett Favre played half-dead.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

wow. sucks it could possibly end like this....

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    Fuck, fuck, fuck.

    I am dying here.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Even Melissa Issacson, who this blog respects as a writer, has no answers. He's got being treated, no ice, he's just standing there.

It could radically change everything about the Bears if Cutler just quit.

  • In reply to gpldan:

didn't quit. everyone on the sidelines knew he wanted back in the fucking game

  • In reply to BearsChick:

well I'm out..... going to watch the rest of the game, but you all know how I feel.

The way we are playing we don't deserve to win... I will vomit a little in my mouth here and shake my head in shame

  • In reply to BearsChick:

put HANIE in there!!! not collins!!!!

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Run the wildcat, Hester at Q.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

this game is done. Without cutty (or whith collins... same thing), or at least a fucking brilliatn surprise game out of Hanie... it's over.

I'm out. All in all it was a pretty amazing season... for a team I had going 8-8 at best after the preseason. It was fun while it lasted.

Packer trolls... I'm going to stoop to your level and say that you and your team can eat a big old dick. I hope the Steelers wipe the fucking mat with your favorite players.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

They put Collins in. This is 100% on Martz, this is his fault!!!! Haine is a hell of a lot better than Collins!!!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Sure, no doubt, Haine would definitely pull this one out...

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Our defense is holding. It's a shame about our offense and special teams are so ineffective...

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

    HANIE in!!!!!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

    Here comes Caleb....

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

p.s. I SAID EARLIER IN THE THREAD BU WOULD BE A "FUCKING BEAST" as for the rest of the team and Coaches well will see..

no time for extensions on contracts play it out.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I know of one second string QB who probably won't be getting an offer next season...

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Cutler is going to make the offseason very hard for himself. No one will respect him in CHicago again. I defended the guy. Just feel horrible. PUnched in the gut.

  • In reply to jj320:

I defended him for a long time. Even after the whole babyish tantrum the shipped him out of denver. I believed he was growing up and getting better.

This was his big moment today, and HE QUIT. HE GAVE UP. I will never support him in the same way I used to. NEVER.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    unbelievable BC, typical

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

I'll add to my comment from last week.. Not only do I want Lovie gone after this year, I want Cutler out of town, too.

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

    fuck off fairweather

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

PLEEEEEEEEASE put Hanie in. He can at least throw.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

    HANIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

time to grow some balls and stand up for some pride!!!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Hanie in, 1st good coaching call today.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Hanie, ha ha, you Bear fans are in for a rude awakening.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

I think we just HAD a rude awakening.

    About Jay Cutler.

  • In reply to gpldan:

what's that GP? that he can get hurt?

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Fuckin A GPL. Fuckin A .....

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Holy Shit.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Scheit!

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Hell yes, some how we're still in this

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Damn', no shutout, no rout. Game on...

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Todd Collins is a black hole of death. Thankfully, we have Haine.

    Cutler is a quitter.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    FUCKING BACK IN!

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    14-7.

I would laugh my fucking ass off if Hanie does this thing...

  • In reply to gpldan:

    saving CUTTY'S ASS!

  • In reply to gpldan:

I'm not getting confidence but I do like any player that actually wants to FIGHT for this. Cutler doesn't wanna break a nail so I say let him take his "Nerf" attitude and go.

  • In reply to gpldan:

My wife is very impressed now that I was lobbying for Hanie once Jay went out :)

Same old Bears, huh? At their best when they're playing against their own QB.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Greenbayman,

If we pull this off, I want you to eat the peanuts out of my shit okay?

  • In reply to gpldan:

Jennings is becoming the Collins of the D...

  • In reply to gpldan:

GP...hhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhheeeeee and I want to put it on youtube

  • In reply to gpldan:

That would be justice, but unexceptable due to health concerns.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Refs are fuckin killing us...

  • In reply to gpldan:

Packers had the opportunity to put this out of reach, Bears are rejunivated. Shit...

  • In reply to gpldan:

That line, sir, is a keeper....

  • In reply to gpldan:

ARE HEARTBEAT COMES FROM OUR D....BU I'm proud to wear your Jersey!!

Lach needs to run up and down this team and tell them to wake up and play for pride..PLAY FOR PAPA BEAR AND OUR FUCKING FRANCHISE

  • In reply to gpldan:

I had to leave for a while. What happened to Cutler.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    HE morphed into a Vagina....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Swollen vagina.....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    trac..simple Cutty Fucked us

  • In reply to nicholsra:

unbelievable that people are saying this.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

That maybe the nail in the Coffin...Caleb did a Cutty

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Its not very often that watching a game honestly makes me want to puke

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Well, the game is over. Good luck Packers. Represent the NFC North. I hate you. But you deserved to win. And Cutler pussed out. I'm so ashamed.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

If the Bears win, great. If the Bears lose, they deserve to. This game was lost on the first two series. Martz had the wrong game plan.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

trac..we deserve to...the better team is going to win

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Well good hell- seems to have woken up the team.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

OK, we're now no worse off thasn we were a few minutes ago...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

my emotions cant take this shit....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

YOU FUCKERS ARE GOING TO GIVE ME A HEART-ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Every pass that Hanie throws make Cutler look that much worse

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Wow I can't believe how many of you are calling for Cutlers head. Lets not run another QB out of Chicago. Bad knee, bad game, what ever. We are playing to go to the big game with a team none of us picked to get this far. Pack has put it to some great teams. They made Matt Ryan want to go hide in a hole. give them some credit. Come on bloggers lets not call for heads all the time. We all thought Urlacher was a quitter and through after last year and he played great this year.I think you ladies and gents will be eatin some crow about Cutler. Earl the Pearl score!!

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Murph..right now Cutty is doing the same as Ryan..hiding in a hole.

I still think he's our guys he just has to fucking grow up

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Thanks for running out of bounds gb.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

No matter what happens... I love to see the Heart and Fight of the Bears...

    Oh Yeah... Fuck Cutler...

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Cutler quit. He gave up. Hanie threw an interception, just like Cutler does, but Hanie came back and THREW A TOUCHDOWN. He has heart, and he cares. Cutler isn't even standing up and cheering. I don't care how bad your knee hurts. You gotta fight for it. Cutler gave up at halftime.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Watch Cutler. He doesn't even cheer when Hanie makes good plays. He just sits under his little blankie on the sideline. Cutler physically and emotionally abandoned this game. And abandoned his team. So uncool.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

I hate to say it but it looked like that run off tackle was all day open.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    who called timeout?

  • In reply to underway:

    Fucking who else?

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Coaches second guessing the players on the field when they called that time out lose games.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

thats the playcall out of a timeout????? FUCK ME

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    NO ONE BLOCKS FOR HESTER???

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

    I miss Brendan A.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

We may lose this - but the Packers Offense are playing not to lose like a bunch of pussies and Packers fans should be disgusted with that...

  • In reply to gpldan:

The Bears defense had something to do with the strategy of the Packers offense....Should be proud of your D.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    Urlacher showed up today.....

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

No, we didn't all think Urlacher was done. Cutler is toast. The diatribe is coming ....

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I never said shit about Lach being done.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Murph, you aren't hearing a bit of shit from me. I do think Collins is a waste of a uniform, but as for the rest, I am proud of the Bears and this season.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Possibly the ugliest, worst executed NFC Championship game in NFL history.

    And, Hanie to Bennett! 21-14!

This game makes no sense. We are in some twilight zone.

  • In reply to gpldan:

GP..no the golden horse is deep in our ass.

  • In reply to gpldan:

First down... where there's smoke, there's a spark.

  • In reply to gpldan:

We are fighting for our proverbial life here...inches we win by inches

  • In reply to gpldan:

Who is this guy? I thought our star qb was hurt.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

He's the one with the heart.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    +1

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Intentional grounding?

Hey Green Bay, I guess the refs will have to shove your fat asses into the Super Bowl.

  • In reply to gpldan:

How can a guy who ran the scout team all year with no first or second string reps look so competent?

  • In reply to gpldan:

Now now, don't be a cheese head.

  • In reply to gpldan:

You know what, if we lose, and I know our team played their hardest, I won't feel so bad afterwards. If I know my team fought as hard as they could, and they legitimately lost, I will be okay. But when the QB QUITS at halftime, and just sits his pansy a-- down on the bench and says he "doesn't care", that pisses me off. I want to hold my head up when we win AND lose, and the only way to do that is to FIGHT your hardest when you play.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

the kids was in a groove and the sideline fuck it up... that GOD DAMN 3rd down playcall was awful... FUCK FUCK FUCK

  • In reply to BearsChick:

problem is we didn't play our best or hardest not until the fourth quarter..

    Game over..congrats GB

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    I think you're really irksome.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    (not you lobo).

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Good job Oline, Taylor

  • In reply to gpldan:

We will tie it up here. Destiny.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Hanie's luck ran out.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Well the better team today won. If the D had played the whole game like they did in the 4th we win this game but they shouldn't have to makeup for the fucking O so damn much. Will I ever not have to say that my whole life?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Shit, had the D played the 1st quarter like they played the rest of the game, we win.
    Unreal.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I should have said, "Will we tie it up? Destiny?"

  • In reply to gpldan:

LACH is PISSED RIPPING ANSWERS...left and right...

from lach "yeah interesting jealous players out of the playoffs ripping us.

  • In reply to gpldan:

My immediate reaction is a rant against 1. Cutler, 2. Lovie and Martz.
    1. From the very beginning Cutler was out of it. Seriously I'm not joking; is this guy's diabetes a liability? He looks like a zombie in the majority of afternoon and evening starts. Either way he has to gut this game out. He couldn't even remember when he injured his knee?!

    2. Lovie and Martz go together on this one. You can't have the insight to know that Hanie is your guy after what Collins showed you in the regular season?! Reminds me of Dusty Baker who can't put in the young players just because they're young. And the second time in 3 weeks Lovie can't keep his damn fingers out of the game when the Bears clearly would have converted the first down with a tick left on the play clock. And Martz the end around call on third and short...really?
Sheesh...at least they made it a game worth watching after Collins went out.

  • In reply to buckbear:

"And Martz the end around call on third and short...really?"

that play called pissed me off...

  • In reply to Bounce:

    No excuse for that call.

  • In reply to Bounce:

Let's face it, Green Bay has build a better team and there offense is way better than ours.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    +1

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Actually, our offense didn't do that great in the 2nd half. Rodgers' stats today were actually low average. But for once the Pack's special teams did pretty well, and the D was huge.

Pack's offense is certainly capable of dominating, but it didn't happen today .....

  • In reply to Bounce:

Boneheaded call. I could not believe it.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

After they had basically already run for the first down, the RB had a huge hole to run through.

  • In reply to buckbear:

Lovie looks frustrated at the podium..emotion seems to be right under his skin....this maybe the spark for next year. maybe.

  • In reply to buckbear:

Cutler was not injured. He sucked. But he had to be "injured" so that Collins iget "injured" so Haynie could play.

All comes down to the mind-numbingly bonehead decision to make Collins the second string QB instead of Haynie.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Wow. Two interceptions, run Hanie out of town!

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Yu won't hear anyone say that Murph, he played a great game. Cutler sucked ... because Cutler sucks.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

That's what I needed to hear/read. It appears that he has the respect and backing of the players and members of this organization. That's all I need. I look forward to next year, and feel better that we have Caleb as our #2 and that we'll have another year of continuity in the same system for our offense and defense. I'm looking forward to adding Oline, Secondary and WR's to our squad through the draft. Bear Down.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Great game.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Did someone forget to tell Martz that we only needed three yards? Lets face it guys, our offense looked like chumps until GB started loosening up their defense.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

See you next year Bears. Congratulations on keeping it close.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

The last play that Mike Martz will call as a Bear is a stupid end-around coming off a useless time out.

    Mark my words.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Your words are marked with shit anyways from always talking out your ass.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

and now they raise the Halas Trophy and piss on the "C" at the fifty yard line....

or should I say they took a dump on the "C"

  • In reply to nicholsra:

And we pinched it off perfectly, real shit for a real shit team. Fuck the down Bear.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Thought you were done with this site? Keep your word troll scum.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Proud of these Bears for making a game of it after their QB quit on them.

Inexcusable call there on 3rd down by Martz. Put Hanie in a really tough spot. He's got to be smarter than that.

Would be overjoyed if the Bears released Cutler tomorrow.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Heading to the ATM, gotta take the max out and pay the packer fans.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

MB and I brought up the backup QB issue on many an occasion. An Orton like qb will allow us to pull Cutty when he tanks or gets hurt. I'm still proud of the season the Bears put together and we came up short against a very good team. Build me a team Lovie. There is still much work ahead of you.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

trac..If you remember I wanted Marc Bulger

  • In reply to nicholsra:

me too lobo. Me too. They blew their wad on Manu.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    and on Collins

  • In reply to nicholsra:

All of you stupid C'unts bashing Cutler need to shut the f'uck up. How many times have we seen this badass play when he was banged/bruised up or cut? Do you think for a motherf'ucking SECOND it wasn't the coaches decision?

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

Do you think Montana, Manning, Young, Farve or any of those other GREATS would have let the coaches sit them on the bench if they felt for a second they could continue to contribute... Those guys would have told the HC I can go and I will Go. Thats why they are GREAT QB's. Cutler didnt even try... thats the issue I have...

  • In reply to underway:

what do you mean he didn't try? dude went out on the 1st series after half; if Jay's knee was busted, it was busted.

and all those QBs you named didn't take 55 sacks on a season. compounded w/ the shit he took last week? dude needs an O-Line

  • In reply to FQD1911:

See him limp off? See him get treatment?

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Waffle is right. I admit, in my mind's eye, Cutler should have been out there. But I also admit to not knowing shit. Maybe his knee ligament is torn. Maybe he couldn't plant off it at all and didn't want to lose the game for us by throwing weak interceptions. Or maybe the coaches saw his first series in the second half and gave him the hook. The emotional reaction is to call him a pussy and to call him out. But we simply don't know. So we should wait and see. I'll remain heartbroken and a little bit skeptical, but given the gravity of some of the coaching fuck ups we've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if it WAS a coaches decision. Should he have been rooting? I don't know. Whatever. I saw him sitting next to Hanie in the 4th talking over some things. The camera doesn't show everything. But we didn't ask for a franchise chearleader, though that would be nice too, we asked for a tough quarterback with a cannon. We have that in Jay, one game notwithstanding. I'll wait for the news to come out. I'll give him another year in the offense with some protection before I proclaim his pussiness. For now. I'm disgusted at the loss. And I'll leave it at that.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

It's a moot point - whether or not he should have been out there - it's the half he was out there for that sucked. He had no mobility issues after any of the replays they showed where he could have gotten hurt. Hanie gave us the best chance of winning from what I saw from both QBs , I just don;t know and can't fathom what the hell Collins was in there for.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I want more than a tough QB with a cannon. I want a smart guy who's accurate also. Cutler ticks two boxes on a list of ten.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I've been off the blog, but I have to make an appearance on what is the last Bears in season thread of the year.

    The Good:
    1) Our defense is legit and will mostly be coming back. We need some help in the secondary, but Peanut and Co showed up nicely, and we need to replace Tommy Harris with a better tackle. No unit is perfect, but these guys can play.

    2) Our offense has a great backup QB in Caleb Hanie. He threw 2 picks, so I'm not crowning him a starter, but he has earned that #2 spot next year. No more wining for a veteran backup. We can get groom another rookie or bring in a FA to fill the 3rd spot and feel fine.

    3) We've got some nice depth at reciever. Even Shabba, who did not play and unfortunately will likely not be back next year, has skills. We don't have a #1, but we've got a nice assortment of targets for the QBs to work with.

    4) Matt Forte. You are a stud. Thank you for a great season.

    The Bad:
    1) The O-Line made everyone look worse. They even made the D look worse because we had no confidence playing from inside of our own 10. I don't think the #30 pick is going to get a great left tackle in the draft, but I stand by my hope that we can get the best center. Olin is welcome to stay, we can plug the new guy in at guard to replace Garza or Williams for a year or two.

    2) The coaches will be back and should be back after this year, but they got thoroughly beaten in game planning and game management. I am glad that Lovie has learned to be less stubborn and pulled Todd Collins, but man why was he #2 after Carolina.

    3) Jay Cutler's bad throws in the first half. He looked scared of the Green Bay secondary. And it showed in how much he overthrew recievers.

    4) Lach did not have a good first half (he had a stellar second half). He'll be the first to admit that. Part of that was because we were getting psyched out by the play action and draw plays. Part of it was something else. I don't know what that was, but it worries me a lot. I hope we fixed it in the second half and for next season.

    The Ugly:
    1) The fans treatment of Jay Cutler. The guy was hurt, and he tried to play after the half. He didn't fight to get back in because he was ineffective and could likely have hurt himself even worse. He did what you are supposed to do, he trusted his team-mates.

    2) The runs on 1st down don't bother me (Forte is a stud). The end around call didn't bother me that much (we have more success with outside runs). Even the inability to score in the first half didn't bother me that much (Green Bay has a solid D, these teams always play low scoring). What bothered me was that we had 0 third down conversions and, once again, Cutler was getting killed on the slow developing pass plays. Did Martz learn nothing from the first half of the season?

    3) A lot of bad mental mistakes from special teams today. A lot of recievers running for the ball. A lot of bad decisions on no catches. We tackled well, Hester had one good run, but the mental mistakes concern me.

Who I will root for in two weeks:
Before I moved to Chicago I did not have a team. I watched football because I love the game, but I did not support any one team. I think two great teams will play this year. The Steelers are the kind of dynasty that I think the Bears can be with some good building in the next 2-3 years. The Packers are a worthy adversary that is helping us bring respect back to the Black and Blue division. I will be hoping for a great game and will be pleased to see the best team win. The only dissapointment for me will be a blowout.

    Prediction:
    Packers 27, Steelers 24

  • In reply to mottystone:

Great post NBIT. Agree with all of it. Clearly you took some deep breaths before posting :0)

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

I just watched the replay, Lovie called the timeout.

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

    After further review......

    THE BEARS STILL SUCK.

    good game.

  • In reply to brocklanders:

Big Cheesy..it wasn't a good game not until the late third/fourth..until that time one team didn't show up us.

o btw...we don't suck because, if we did we would of never been playing in the NFC Championship...ask a team like Carolina.. now they suck

  • In reply to brocklanders:

How's that regreesion to the mean sound now you stupid hose hound. Aaron Rodgers was not only ordinary but well below average. You're here, you're queer, we're over it!
Good game but be prepared to lose in two weeks the Bears gave whoever the Pack play a great template to defeat Aaron Rodgers...bet on it.

  • In reply to buckbear:

take it easy, man. I have the right to come back and feed you all crow. But this was a brutal loss for you. and so I left it at what I said i would come back with, which is the green bay packers' rivalry slogan. Just let it be. I'm having mercy.

  • In reply to brocklanders:

    UPON FURTHER REVIEW.....

  • In reply to brocklanders:

You guys needed a D-lineman INT for a TD to win against our 3rd string QB? How many TD's did Rodgers, the greatest QB of all-time throw? We didn't deserve to win. You guys play like that in the SB and you will get crushed.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Your defense started pounding Rodgers in the second half of the third quarter. Beat the hell out of him, no qb likes to get hammered, nothing new there. The Packer O-line needs improvement before next year.
You guys were harsh on Cutler, he's no wimp. Whatever injury he had made him inneffective. Unlike the Bear "fans" on this blog, the Bears team never gave up. They got stronger as the game went on and showed heart; the future looks bright for that team. Just need some more weapons...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Fresno, I'm calling you out as the true blue Douche bag that you are being.
NOBODY is questioning Urlacher's toughness after being tackled like a bitch by Aaron Rodgers. Let me put this out there and I think it should make everybody think: Hypothetically, that's Cutler out there instead of Urlacher. YOU CANNOT TELL ME that Rodgers is able to make that tackle on Cutler.
He is a tough S.O.B. that dragged his offense to nearly ALL of the success it had this year.

To those of you who continue to question him I will ask you a question:
When was the last time a QB in a Championship game decided AGAINST conventional wisdom that he should be out there and play for his teammates and ensure his Legend?

I will then answer that question: It was Philip Rivers vs. the Undefeated Patriots. And it is generally accepted that he cost his team the win because of his selfish refusal to let Voleck(Who had won the game for them against the Colts the previous week) play the game.

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

    voleck >>>>> hanie

common man. voleck would be starting anywhere else. jay should have stayed... unless his knee was totally blown. that's what cortizone and large doses of painkillers are for. that was our superbowl out there today.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

btw, I'm not down on cutty for getting injured or coming out IF it's a blow knee which some of you are saying it is...

... it's the fucking inconsistency of this team that kills me man. Some shit we do so well, some shit not well at all. It's crying over spilled and sour milk, but just don't get leaving these fuckers in it. We had the chance to stomp on them in week 16 and we most certainly could have with a real game plan and keeping our starters in and we just kind of half assed it. I mean, our running game was going off... then we just stop for 7-step drops????

Anyway, I'm just frustrated and rambling. Going to take some time to put my thoughts into something consumable. Have a good weekend lads and lady.

I don't even know (or give a shit) who won the other game... is it over? I don't care who it is, just fucking STOMP the packers. Hurt them. Hurt rodgers. The vikings are not my most hated team anymore... thanks to their pathetic little fans, it's the packers from here on out.

    Out.

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

It's his play before he got 'injured'. He's inaccurate when he has plenty of time to throw the ball, never mind being under pressure. Makes bad decisions. Nah, we sold the farm for a pussy. Urlacher was right.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

the nfl shop just played the damn commercial with the PACK NFC hat/tshirt for sale... I almost kicked my fuckin TV...

  • In reply to underway:

when the going got tough, Cutler wanted to hide in a corner and leave the stadium. He pouted and im embarrassed he is a Chicago Bear. Todd Collins doesnt need to be on roster anymore

  • In reply to robclements36:

Todd Collins NEVER should have been on the roster.

  • In reply to underway:

We finally get the tempo going with a hurry-up that nets us a TD, and on the next possession we go back into a slow-go offense.

WTF? Sophomoric coaching in the crunch is not what I expected.

Apparently the message wasn't fucking clear enough. Tempo. Tempo. Tempo.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Viva, I was calling for the hurry up all game but they couldn't hear me. This group of coaches has only been together one year. Again, Lovie, build us a team.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We always look like an awesome offense in the hurry-up. Martz never left his script, and running on every first down ? WTF?

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Viva, I'm a rabid Packer fan living in Alaska -- and I noticed the exact same thing. They were on a good roll, and I was really scared that something was about to happen. Bad coaching, yup.

Some of you guys are being too hard on yourselves and your team. I don't blame you for being PO'd about Cutler, because I'd probably feel the same. But today the Bears defense was pretty scary. And Hanie! Wow, if I ran the team, I think I'd give the kid a new contract ......

See y'all next year -- and best wishes in the draft.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

It wasn't a great game. It was as far from a great game as one can get.

The Packers let a 3rd stringer almost steal this game from them, the QB that Chicago traded a ton away for basically quit on his team and went and pouted on the sideline, and the play calling by the Bears OC was at times senseless.

A real DC instead of a washed up old bat would have opened the game in the nickel, even if that meant putting Chris Harris and Major Penis and D. Manning all out there at the same time, pulling Pisa. As a result, GB knew exactly what to do and how to do it.

The game was disgusting and the stink of it will sit over Soldier Field for many years.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    I saw it differently...

  • In reply to gpldan:

defense was soft at the beginning....so that costed the bears.....also...offense lacked first half....part of second....i blame coaching...

  • In reply to gpldan:

There's always the Jets game. Go Jets.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I lost what little respect I had for cutler. I have been trying to like the guy all year and felt this game could have cemented him in Chicago. He quit today, plain and simple. What kind of message does it send to the team wen you say you can't play but yet stand for thr remainder of the game. I am still proud of my bears for getting this far but it was a hard game to swallow. Here comes a post season filled with calls for Jays head. I don't think the media will be able to forgive jay for today. Still proud to be a bears fan!

  • In reply to Vicp71:

    This

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

If he has a tear I will retract this. Either way he was not playing well. Not throwing well and not making good decisions.

  • In reply to Vicp71:

See my comment above. Cutler was not hurt, he was benched because he sucked. But without being "injured", we had nothing but Collins, which is auto-loss. So Jay had to be injured so Collins could be injured so Hanie could play.

  • In reply to gpldan:

another bad timeout call on a big gain in the 4th quarter for Lovie, im assuming it was Lovie who called it.

We should have taken care of business in week 17 and we didnt. there were some who thought it was a mistake to even try in that game and some who rooted for the packers to beat the eagles and falcons, that logic was fucking stupid

  • In reply to robclements36:

Glad you could join us, sally-come-lately. WTF have you been with your predictions?

  • In reply to gpldan:

Fuck you, you back peddling inbred. You retards were blowing this teams cock every chance you got, and now they all suck. It's you who don't know fuck all about anything. What a fucking loser retard.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

    Very mature

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Go fuck yourself, you idiot troll. Die you fucking POS

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Bullshit you used douche. We are some of this team's harshest critics and we take a lot of shit for it. Learn how to read.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We over achieved, won more games than I or most of us thought. I for sure thought we were lookin at 7-9 at best. I look for much improvement next year, have a good draft, sign a free agent or 2. I think we will be much improved the second year in this offense. Look how Earl Bennett blossomed. I'm not gonna dog anyone. Nice season Bears, you did us proud!!

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

For me that is the problem. After 3 years of no playoffs we have to OVERACHIEVE to make it. I want a team that is consistently in the playoffs and fighting for a Championship.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Well, we did good playing 12 vs. 19. I sure hope the Jets win, or there is no reason whatever to watch the Super Bowl.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

No bears and Black Eye Peas halftime show...is all the reason I need to not watch...

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    Wow. Just wow.

Thank Baby Jebus for Derrick Rose. Chicago needs a hero, and it sure as shit ain't JC.

I have been a "he can do no wrong" guy for 2 years, but after seeing that LaDainian-reminiscent shit, I have no love.

    Neckbeard would have played legless.

At least I still have a team with a guy named "Boozer" on it...

    GO BULLS!

R.I.P. - The idea of "infallible JC the Savior"

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

I really dont think Jay was hurt. See previous posts. Were Hanie #2 and Collins emergency you'd have seen Jay back in.

Not sure what pictures Collins has, but the imbecilic roster choice of Collins over Hanie is the reason.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

If Cutler doesn't try to come out and play he gets reamed by fans. If he comes out and then goes back in the locker room he is accused of abandoning his team. If he stays there and cheers like everyone else when Hanie is doing well, which he did, he gets reamed because he decides to stay outside and not take his pads off. Give me a break guys. The perceived lack of effort? He didn't act hurt enough? He should have limped around with a look of agony on his face? I can't argue this. I'm just as pissed as everyone else. I just can't sit here and act like Cutler didn't make all of our other qb's look like retards over the last 14 years. When i see facebook and yahoo style postings on here from fair weather pussy fucking fans about running this guy out of town i can't help but get mad. It's nothing personal. If you are a fair weather pussy fan that doesn't understand what we've done this year it doesn't mean you are a bad person. Just a fair weather pussy ass fan.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

Yeah, go Bulls. The NBA sucks and no one cares.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Basketball, however, does NOT suck... and Derrick Rose - regardless of the league he may play in - is a spectacle to behold.

    I repeat:

    GO BULLS.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

    Love D-Rose

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

lol...is any of this going to resort to someone getting their ass beat off the keyboard? anybody going to fly to Ireland to beat up Irish?

if you do, can you record it?

on a Bears note, here's a take on Cutler: http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bears-huddle/2011/01/blaming-cutler-get-real.html

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    92 times.. wow

  • In reply to FQD1911:

For what ? Telling the truth and not being a homer ? Defend Cutler's general play and stay stylish. Defend Angelo while you're at it. Were you a Rex fan ? Cutler is the Mobile Rex.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Sorry... that is 12 vs. 18, right? Only 7 referees? Holding vs. Chester to stop drive, missed holding on punt Packers fumbled, interference vs Jenkins to gift 40 yards, ridiculous spot after Packers late first half int, insane call to force Lovie to use a challenge on a play that only a Packer could even IMAGINE to be int...

But despite all this, we were in the game.

In my final beer-sotted analysis, however, the primary reason the Bears lost today is because Jay Cutler sucked even worse than Aaron Rodgers.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

We *were* a 7-9 team. Pride? In that bunch of crap ? And our QB even calling it a day ? I'm proud of Urlacher and Briggs, they didn't quit.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm pretty sure Kristin Cavallari just changed her facebook status to single.

    or Caleb Hanie...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Heartbroken and speechless. I'm out for a while.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Well..no time to lick wounds..time to clean house and build a team to run for the big one next year...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Oh well, back to reality two weeks sooner than I thought....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

First up, Lovie doesn't build the team, Angelo does. I'm proud of the defense - or parts of it this season, but the offense can fuck right off, every single one of them bar Forte, Bennett and Kellen Davis. Including their OC. There.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Fire Martz, Lovie and Culter right now!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Anyone but the Packers...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Anyone see johnny Knox get tackled on the final INT? That was pass interference.

  • In reply to brandonpurcell:

I saw that too. But the blind refs don't...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    That intentional grounding was bs.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Hey Troll Fuckers. How come your awesome team can't put our shitty team away with our 3rd string QB. Whatever happens, fuck your mothers.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Because you don't have a shitty team.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Finally. But we do have a shitty GM.

  • In reply to gpldan:

REALLY bad time for a shank...

  • In reply to gpldan:

Come on kick the fucking ball more than 20 yards

  • In reply to gpldan:

Finally a Packers Bears Game... Thanks Bears for waiting till the fourth to show up... Green Bay has been pissing in your Wheaties all day and owning your asses.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Cutler should sit out the superbowl if we pull this out.

Also, that hit + penalty on Peppers was totally worth it, because Rodgers hasn't been able to complete a pass since...

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Yeah, Charles Martin his ass, right?

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    I, personally, would love that.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Ohhhhhhhhhhh Trolls. DEFENSE

  • In reply to greenbayman:

it was right as he threw it you fucking cocksucker not 5 seconds after the play like your dead ex lineman.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Illegal hits should not be condoned.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

I'm just sad at this point. Sad that we endured Collins on 2 series prior to Hanie getting in the game. Sad Urlacher couldn't channel his inner James Harrison and return that sucker. Sad that Hanie didn't see Raji drop into coverage, and sad that the effort seemed too little too late in a game and on a day when most of us could barely contain ourselves. It seems like our passion for this game and this team overshadowed that of the players and coaches. Most of all, I'm sad that our offensive leader and QB left the game with seemingly no good reason and continued to be more of a hinderance than a help on the bench for the remainder of the game. Cheer on your team, help Hanie get in the game and perform, FUCKING DO SOMETHING!!!! I've defended you since we sold out for you, and I'm not sure it was warranted at this point. Peppers should have ear-holed Rodgers earlier, the rest of the line was non-existent, Jennings killed us, and our receivers not named Bennett are subpar. Urlacher, Briggs and Harris never gave up or gave in. I say Lovie stays, but Angelo needs to go. I don't know what to do with Cutler and Martz. Honestly, they have me mystified. I'm gonna keep drinking and checking in tonight, go Jets.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

There were a number of calls and non-calls that went the Packers way in the first half, but we should have overcome them.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

prelims on Cutler: torn knee ligament. hope it's not a career-threatening injury...

  • In reply to FQD1911:

No line = No franchise QB

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Collins instead of Hanie in the 3rd quarter was absolutely brutal.
Hanie made a couple of poor decisions (the last int was not his fault; the receiver got buttplugged), but at least he can get the ball past the line of scrimmage.
    Collins is just horrendous.
I really am waiting to hear what was wrong with Jay. I am pissed but something happened there.
Lovie should never be allowed to call a timeout of his own volition.
And the stripes completely fucked us on the pick that ended the first half. That was absolutely astonishing.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

And the holding against Chester to kill a drive. And forcing Lovie to waste a challenge on a lucicrous "interception", etc.

Cutler just sucked. But he needed to be "injured" so Hanie could get in the game, right? Was not Hanie "emergency 3rd QB"?

  • In reply to FQD1911:

but everyone on here without a torn knee ligament, taped and injected with pain suppression said he just quit and should be run out of town. who should i believe. I'm so confused.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

I'm with you Waffle. I admit to being a bit mystified. But I won't go crazy just yet. If he does indeed have a torn ligament, then I'm over it. Otherwise, he might have to win back my support.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

    What Doc said.

I admit I overreacted a bit which I tend to do in-game. I didn't know if he got benched, concussed. I didn't know what the fuck was going on.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Have you seen our offensive line pedigree? Lovie rolled the dice with Chester Taylor and Manu instead of overpaying for some veteran O lineman. No line = No game plan.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Rodgers is flustered

  • In reply to gpldan:

PEPE WELCOME TO THE NFL !!!

  • In reply to gpldan:

    This game is not over.

    It is not over.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

HANIE!!!!!! MAke JAy have to earn his spot next year...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Seriously I want some fucking answers about what is going on with Cutler. Didn't someone play with a finger ripped off of their hand or something? He can walk? He can stand?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    He's a pussy.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Cutler told the medical staff he doesn't know when he hurt it.

If I were him, I would ask for a pair of crutches even if I didn't need them...

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Carpe Diem, Caleb...

  • In reply to gpldan:

He needs a pair of cajones...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    NO Heart..

  • In reply to underway:

coming from the guys on the couch

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Your right johnny, I have no idea how hurt he is and with what he played through this season that was pretty punk for me to say. Heat of the moment. I was more confused as to why he was walking around and not getting any treatment. If it's a tear, obviously nothing to do. I stand by being disappointed that he wasn't supporting his teammates and in the backups ears. Jay a warrior? Indisputable. A leader? Not so sure.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

And then when they put Hanie in and he plays well, Aikman says "whoever decided to put in Hanie is a genius.."- no, Aikman, you fuck, Collins should *never* have been put in.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    we're done.

  • I've been up since 5:30(because I have two little boys that believe strongly in an early start) waiting for today's game day thread. No more speculation, no more discussion, it's time to put on your gear and DO WORK!! Getting to hear Peppers mic'd up on NFL Network last night and this morning......that guy is going to severely hurt somebody today. That is a FULL GROWN MAN WITH BAD INTENTIONS!!! Peppers and Harris have a game for the ages.

    Amen, Airborne, BEAR DOWN!!!!!!

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

I feel ya Matty. My oldest boy, who liked to get up before the roosters himself, is finally old enough to read a clock. So we told him do not get out of bed until 7. So now, we get to sleep like reasonable human beings! I'm Airborne in myself.

    Fucking BEAR DOWN damn it!

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Atta boy Doc. I was 82nd, how about you? Long time ago, though. You know how it goes, you remember the good times and forget the hell you went through.

My 3 year old is wicked smart, and understands how to read the clock, but the baby screams like a banshee and that starts early.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    Word.

I actually meant I just took the vitamin concoction known as Airborne. But props to you. If I had ever gone to the service, I would have done something in the air or water. The adventure of it has always sounded cool to me.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

That fucking hilarious. Airborne, whether you're hardcore or hardcore fighting a cold. Hilarious.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

I know. I was lol-ing at that misunderstanding.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

    classic

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

I havent shaved in two weeks, Im wearing my bears gear that I wore in Week 1, and I have starved myself this morning to not eat until gametime. I ran 2 miles this morning and threw up from so much anxeity towards the game. IM FUCKING HYPED.

GIVES 60 MINS OF SMASHMOUTH FOOTBALL! LETS WIN THIS! See ya guys on the other side, whether it be Life or Death. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Wow Fresno, your commitment is both inspiring and disturbing. I wish I knew you were going running this morning....I'd have had you run 2 miles for me as well. The playoff beard is tight, and could give us the edge we need.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

chili is a cookin jaueger is chillin and the heinken is maxin out the dimensions of my fridge BEAR THE HELL DOWN FELLA'S!!!

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    Hitman still questionable.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    I knew I liked you.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Morning Boys! Are you ready to watch us shock the world again? Picks to click:

    Julius Peppers and Earl Bennett.

Peppers will have a standout game as he is ready to kill somebody. Bennett wasn't installed in the offense the first game and missed the 2nd game so this is his coming out party on 3rd downs as a blitz killer.

This is why football is the greatest game. It is cold as balls/sunny in Chicago today and my neighborhood is on fire.

Bear fucking down. This is it.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

I'm on the Bennett bandwagon, Waffle.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

You'll be falling off before halftime...

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Kind of cold here too (high sixties).....

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Today is why I love football so much.

Leave it all on the field men.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

No shit right. NFL is soooo much better than anything else. The only thing that comes close is the occasional game seven in the other sports.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Yeah the tension, anticipation and excitement is palpable. My Pack fan friends are plenty nervous too. They definitely fear Hester and several mentioned Olsen too. May their fears be realized. Repeatedly.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Yes indeed gentlemen. They just showed Charles Martin's "Hit List" from '86. Him slamming Jimmy Mac to the ground is the quintessential reason I hate the Pack. I'll be out of contact until halftime, as I have a crew showing up in the next few minutes, but will check in then to weigh in on all things good and bad. Hang in there ladies and gents, it is time to WRECK SHOP!!!! DAAAAAAAAA.....BRRSSSS.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Just had lunch and a huge birthday cake for my dad, who is 94 today.... Amazing stuff, there. Great photos of all of us in Bears clothing.

Now it's time to get this party started.

BRING ON THE FUCKING CHEESE!!!! and a beer.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    Like the Bears!

  • In reply to sjvl:

    BTW, LOVE the collage!

  • In reply to sjvl:

Wow. Happy birthday to him indeed. May it be a great one, unless he's a Packer fan. My great grandfather lived to 107. So tell him I said he's still young.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

No way, Doc. He's all Chicago all 94 years. Thanks!

  • In reply to sjvl:

To all my friends and family on Da' Bears Blog. I won't be posting today, because I must watch the game DVR delayed. My daughter is driving in from the other end of the state to watch the game with me and is delayed. Don't think for a minute that I won't be thinking of you all as I scream, shout, and root my ass off for the biggest game since the '85 Super Bowl. (Frankly, this one may be bigger.) I'll just be rooting a bit delayed.

I love this blog and the folks on it. I'm gonna miss joining in the fun as we show the fudgers how football is played, but family is family, and I wouldn't miss the chance to watch this with one of my kids for anything. So all you guys (and ladies) represent and Bear Down.

    Packers, Fucking Dead!

  • In reply to sjvl:

Please tell me your Dad is wearing a John Thierry or Brendon Ayanbadejo jersey, because that would be super badass.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    Nope. Payton.

happy b-day to your pops man

  • In reply to sjvl:

    Hey #16, join in pal.

I'm out, see everybody at the half. Julius Peppers might get arrested for attempted murder after the game today, and I'll be first in line to post his bail. BEAR DOWN, AMEN, AIRBORNE!!!

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Today all of the football world will be reminded of why the NFL is the best team sport in the world. The Bears will prove to everyone watching the game today that the Bears are the undisputed better team. The Cheese blew their wad over the last 3 weeks, welcome to the off season Mr. Rogers. The Bears will take this game by at least 17 pts and ALL the announcer's will be left scratching themselves as they toss and turn while mumbling to themselves at 3 a.m in the morning. BRING ON THE CHEESE. OOOOOHRAH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

What? Trac has lost his marbles you say? Au contraire gents. Today, we take care of all the family's business.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

In 1941, the Bears won 33-14.

So Trac, if you're going for the big win, how about seventy years later this Bears team one-ups the 1941 version on both sides of the ball - Bears 34, Packer 13?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

And then we go on an win the Superbowl 73-0. I like it.

Both Daughter and Son are jacked about the game..Have our colors flying high today..wife is cooking up a storm, friends are coming over to celebrate our VICTORY..even a good friend who is a ViQueen (to bad for him) coming over to root for us and to see Pepe give FuckDodgers a concuss!!!! he even said it..hates fuckdodgers.. hhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhheeeee

He did remind me of who his HC and LB Coaches are now and that he felt that he need to root for us,(today and SB) but said next year he will give no love to us because he feels that their D will be inspired. "F"er

Little knot in the stomach, but I know once our Gladiators get started we will have VICTORY!

I'm going to be heading to my local Rosati's in Indio, CA to hang with my dad and watch the game. I will have wifi though!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Well, I've been in a state of anxiety all week overe this game. Just couldn't get with the "Bears Victorious no ifs, ands or buts" movement. But this morning, for some reason, I woke up and had a good, fairly deep feeling that the Bears are going to win. I still have that Packer demon on my left shoulder but his voice is now very faint.

Also took a few minutes this morning to snap a new pic and update my avatar.

And a quick story: A very good guy I sub out some work to is a rabid Packers fan (has a Packers themed tiki hut in his back yard). I got a sheet of huge Bears decals for Xmas so I took the opportunity to drove by his place early one morning this past week and applied a two foot Chicago Bears C to the back of his truck. Wish I had taken a pic but I was giggling too hard to hold a camera steady anyway...

  • In reply to tobijohn:

tobijohn...the devil over the shoulder reminds me of the scene in Animal House..devil on one and angel on the other..LOL right now!!!!!

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Just woke up and its a beautiful day in Honolulu. I feel for you Max, I know your somewhere close since I am in a touristy area. There is a ton of rental places here in Waikiki. Theres a real buzz in the air today. everyone talkin about the game. Wasnt sure whether to wear the Olin jersey or my division championship T. I'm going with the T and saving my Kruetz for the pro bowl.I think it's gonna be a close game, decided by good as Gould. I don't think I can take overtime though. Wish i wasn't typing on this little notebook comp its a pain in the ass. I hope we have seen the last of the Trolls. Bear Down!!!!!!!

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

That's easy Murph. T-shirt under jersey. I always go 2 strong. Usually, My DBB Bear-Down-There shirt under my Payton Jersey.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Bears zip-up hoodie over Cutler Authentic over DBB Bear Down over Illinois long sleeve.
    And the hat of course.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

It's zero degrees here (-15 windchill) today, so I gotta roll strong.

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Strong food choices from all of you for today's game gents, well done. As I'm no longer at 31st and the Dan Ryan on the Southside, but now located in the suburbs of Dallas, I don't have the option to pick up a stuffed spinach and sausage from Connie's. That is sad indeed. I've also pretty much given up beer, as I'm working my way back down to 200lbs by October via South Beach. With all of that said, my new favorite drink is the John Daly, and I feel I should share my recipe with you:

    1. In a cup, glass, stein(mine is frosted with the bear head on one side and the big C on the other) pour a 4-9 second count of vodka. I use Absolut Peach, as it's the best for the mix.

    2. Add Arnold Palmer lite as a mixer(an Arnold Palmer is equal parts lemonade and sweet tea. I go with the lite because it cuts teh calories. You can find these items at any Kroger, Tom Thumb, Albertson's, etc.

    3. Top off with 1 packet of artifical sweetener(This is the secret that makes this the smoothest of the smooth).

You can drink them all day, and all night. I have yet to have someone try it that doesn't love it. You're welcome. Bear Down.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Sounds pretty damn good Matty. I am really missing me some Chicago food. There is no good pizza in Hawaii. Hot dogs suck. Never seen a sausage samich in 10 years here. I can't stand the thought of eating asian food during a football game, especially Da Bears. Theres a price to be paid for everything as the Pack will find out today.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Samich........just seeing that word in print puts me the Chicago state of mind. Makes me want to hit up Ricobene's for a breaded steak samich. Damn, do I miss SWEET HOME CHICAGO!!! As for the trolls, I suspect the prospect of a loss today is really creeping into their psyche at this point. All the pressure is on the pack today, our guys are playing loose and fast and 100% in attack mode. I can't stop posting today, I'M ON FIRE!!!!!!!

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

I haven't had a breaded steak in so long. The cardiologist frowns on it. I might have to get one when I get home though. You lived close to the best one too, but they are all good. Pretty mean pepper and egg too.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Italian beef sandwich for me (with some Giardiniera peppers on top) . Alas, not to be found in South Florida...

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

Jeff called em off. I don't think he's needs to worry about a low traffic count today.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Tomorrow the headline will read, "Your 2010 Super Bowl Bound Bears." Unless Blogfather is too hung over.

The one ingredient our team has that can not be equalled by the Packers, is the love and respect they have for each other. When you have that, there is no obstacle to great to overcome. Do you want to know why the Power Rankers missed the boat on this club? Because more time than not, comaraderie is stealth.

    Bear Down!

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Looks like I can blog on the mobile here, on my way to the game and can't fucking wait for our national anthem and fly over. Great day for football boys

  • In reply to Shady:

fucking punch some idiot pack fan in the face right fucking now shady

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Be afraid, be very afraid of Packer Faithful.
Of course, pundhing a Packer fan will be your only satisfaction today, because you know as well as me, da' Bears are going down!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Joe Buck is such a schmuck. Is is just me or does it look as if he's looking into his boyfriends eyes every time he looks into the camera?

  • In reply to greenbayman:

It's a tradition at the Blackhawk games and the man singing is the regular performer. I see how it can be interpreted both ways, though.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Whew. Better Defense.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Is Hester getting soft? Sure seems sensitive out there...

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Peppers. Keep it comin'.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Oh, Rodgers isn't making it out of this game in one... or even two pieces. Get ready for Flynn.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Jesus, is fucking aikman kidding? Holyshit... you'd think the cut played for GB. What a turd bugler.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Well, I think we're settled in now...let's do this.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Cutty's going to have to start making plays with his feet.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Not impressed with Martz's play calling.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Sack. Yes. We need to see a lot more of that.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Alright Urlacher finally starts the rally...

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

I'm not being negative boys, just think the Bears need to hurry up and make the right adjustments on both sides of the ball. A game like this can get away from you in a heartbeat.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

    not good at all

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Talk about looking like Bush League. Martz has not come with the right bag of tricks today. Desperation is the inspiration for Genius. Desperation may be just around the corner if this mickey mouse play calling doesn't change soon.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

I feel like I'm watching a high school freshman team vs the varsity squad. Just not the 'fire' I was expecting to see.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Williams is the weak link.. False starts and getting man handled.... THIS MUST STOP NOW!!! Lets Go #74

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

We will not beat the Cheese today with a run first mentality. We have to pass the ball to set up the run with these guys. This is the same mistake Atlanta made.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Goal #1. Flip the field on these fuckers. That only means one thing. We need a turnover or a stop and a Hester return. Guess that's two things. Even better.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Can anyone explain what's going on other than we are being badly out coached?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We are being outplayed as well at all positions!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We need a drive and we need it now!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Cutty is hit and miss today.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

The good news is, our guys have gotten open. If he can cool down a bit, we'll be alright.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

You mean he either gets hit, or misses the throw? =)

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

    is Harris out?

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

    Ruh Roh.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Biggest series of the season, right here, right now.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

The Bears know the NFC Chapionship has started right?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

What the hell are we doing?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

did graham not see the packers Special teams player hit the ball back in play and not try to catch it... ITs the little things that are killing us... The difference from the pack starting inside the 5...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Martz came off the buss running and is now passing to catch up. Really disappointed that he didn't have a better game plan to start the game.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Every Fucking thing is going wrong. Why couldn't Gould try a 49 yarder? Is it windy? Doesn't seem windy? What The Fuck!

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

No clue why he didn't try... worst case you miss it. At least try.

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

Lovie went for the field position since we have been losing that battle. Unfortunately, the punt only netted 11 yards.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'd argue we need mental points right now though. Down 14 in first half, we need something on our board.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Cutler has a bloody spot on his right elbow...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Nice run Matty Forte.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Where is Edgar Bennett??

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    This
    is
    Depressing.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

that is a dumb ass rule...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Watching this game is like taking a piss with a bladder infection.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

tice needs to cover his mouth when talking to the booth, they can read his lips

  • In reply to ammo:

Like it makes any fucking difference with our line.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Why is Urlacher trotting toward Rodgers? Why isn't he attacking him?

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

    F*** this.

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

agreed.. he seems to be out of position in that cover 2 drop. His Job should be keep tabs on Rodgers.

  • In reply to underway:

If he's free game, Urlacher should be running toward him like a tackle dummy. Pathetic.

  • In reply to underway:

GRaham is proving to be a special teams disaster today... LET THE BALL ROLL

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

We need an NFL WR on this team. Preferraly 2. Fuck.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

No shit. But Hester was open twice and Culter missed him. So it's not JUST our receivers today.

Motherfucker. (Not you, Z, the state of affairs in the universe generally speaking.)

  • In reply to jj320:

and one of those would have been a TD

  • In reply to jj320:

also, the fumble rule regarding the quarterback is gay on principal.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Jay Cutler, seu filho da puta! Metes nojo!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

I think it's so you can't intentionally fumble in order to advance the ball within the last two minutes. applies to everyplayer.

  • In reply to jj320:

Oh no, Cutler is sucking it up too

  • In reply to jj320:

And as much as I am bitching about the Offense, we have given up 300 yards with 10 minutes left in the 3rd.

  • In reply to jj320:

Urlacher is old but I tell ya what, he's exactly what we needed now that Collins is taking the field.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    No comment........ you're welcome.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Are we having fun yet. That should have been the tying touchdown pass.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

My feed has been iffy so maybe they have been open more than I have seen. And what I have seen of the O-line has been rough. Oh yeah, coaching? Not impressed. They almost don't look like they have any urgency. Can that be right? Are they just tight? WTFis going on?!

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

By the way, where the FUCK is our D-line. We've gotten to Rodgers like 2 times. And we should be sticking more with Forte despite the score. Right now the pass pass pass is just too predictable, and the D-backs for the Packers never have to come off their coverage.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I've been taking a drink every time Joe Buck makes a homosexual reference towards Rodgers (ie: he took the back door into the endzone, he really "came out" during the 5th game this season")

Needless to say this has left me a wee bit inebriated...

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    Thanks I needed that chuckle.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

remember when Marc Bulger was available and we passed and got this shit Collins..well the fox has come to roost in the hen house.. WE ARE FUCKED!!!

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Run, run, pass, kick the rest of the way

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Guys, don't blame the Bears. It's my fault. A neighbor with the uber big screen invited me to come down and watch. I thought about taking a pass because the last time I went down there, the Pats blew us out. I knew I shouldn't have gone...

  • In reply to tobijohn:

    Yeah, that's the reason......

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Lucky it's not a lot more than 14. They are being outplayed by lot and right now the Packers look like a better team. This first drive they need to at a minimum move the field position, otherwise this game will be over by the 4th.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

The good news(and I use that term very lightly) is that we're only down 2 scores. The bad news is that Cutty looks rattled, our receivers won't fight for the ball, and our Oline looks like the pre-bye week version. That INT was dropped, we got jobbed on that one. We get the ball to start the 2nd. We score, the crowd comes back and we're in business. We don't, and I don't see us digging out of this hole. I'm sick with how fast they started and we didn't, and the fact that Rodgers is much faster than I have ever given him credit for.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

If you don't look for Olson you are just dumb. Knox can't get open or go get the ball and when he has a chance to break up a pick he never does. Plays like a girl. Olson, Forte and Bennett are our only hope.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

It's just so fucking frustrating. Cutler steps back, waits, waits, waits, and still nobody is open. I think he would try to throw it if they were (i.e. he's not exactly shy with letting it fly.)

And then, the two times that Hester is open, Cutler misses him. At least one of those passes is a TD.

Forte is actually running pretty well. It's a BIG mistake if we get scared and just pass the second half; that will never work, given that our OLine is a bowlful of jelly and are receivers are 5'9 and 100 lbs.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

The Falcons gave up 28 points by half-time. At least we didn't do that.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    Clinging to straws now.......

  • In reply to BearsChick:

Cutler looks defeated, and that worries me a lot.

    FUCK.

    One half to go.

    BEAR DOWN!!!!

  • In reply to sjvl:

    More appropriately, DREAM ON!

  • In reply to greenbayman:

even more appropriately, stop stealing your neighboring trailer's internet, get off our blog and go drink some milwaukee's best .

  • In reply to sjvl:

    3 and out, woo hoo.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Again, no protection and nothing open downfield. It's like our receivers disappear once they get ten yards past the line of scrimmage.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Could I ask you a personal question? Is your mother still alive?

  • In reply to greenbayman:

if Cutler doesnt come back in the game he can pack his shit NOW...... THey are killing Jennings...

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Cutler sure is an inspiration, sitting at the end of the bench. Way to gather the troops.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

I think that he needs to refocus himself before he can refocus his troops

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    THIS GAME IS OVER... DAMNIT...

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Did Collins have five interceptions in that Carolina game? I only remember four....

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Why in hell is Collins in the NFL?

  • In reply to Jlehr:

More importantly, why is he on the Bears roster. Oh, Angelo's a cock, I forgot.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Today will be remembered as the day we realized we sold the farm for the wrong guy.

  • In reply to czheng:

And that is about the size of it.

  • In reply to czheng:

You have been judged and found to be lacking. Now you can be left alone, beaten, embarrassed and humiliated to be consumed by your juices, forever. Your pathetic perspectives and inflated sense of self have come to light for all to see. You are who we thought you were. There are one or two of you who actually may have a chance to be part of civilization again, but for the most part nothing but wanna be rude assholes and douche bags. Of course, that's what losers are.
Here's to your eternal nightmares from today. This blog, your pathetic team, cowardly QB, and all of you, just are not worth my time any longer. But it has been therapeutic fucking with you. And yes, Da Bears still Suck. Live in Hell assholes, THAT is your destiny.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Live in hell? Like Wisconsin? Good riddance you abortion of a human. Your team will get destroyed in the SB to the Steelers. And to quote Matty the wise.

"I've gotta believe that any Packer fan still here and commenting on our sight must be so hideous, so socially unacceptable, so unwelcome with even their family that they have nowhere else to go in the hopes that someone will talk about this game with them. Why are you not celebrating with other Packer fans? Talking with them on the phone, or with them at a bar singing your Packer songs? Because you're a worthless excuse for a human being and no one will have you, that's why. Suck it, eat a dick, and go fuck yourself."

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

    Can't argue with that.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

I am soooooooo tired and bummed.

    FuCK the Packers. Ugh.

Go Steelers, I guess. Good night.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

As a Packer fan, I just want to denounce phrozentundra's crap. No call for that!

  • In reply to PackinAK:

See that is how it's been all week. We give what we get. Props to you for representing your team with respect and honor.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Todd Collins = Game over

  • In reply to greenbayman:

    Packers own us

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    ,as expected.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Way to go Lovie..you just any chance we had to the Packers...you stupid son of a bitch!!!!!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Dear Jay Cutler- you are no Sid luckman in fact you're no Tod Collins. You sir are a bitch and I only wish I could say it to your punk ass pussy face.

  • In reply to Jlehr:

    whatever fairweather.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Jay embarrassed us all today, and it had nothing to do with the way he played.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Unless Cutler is taken off by doctors orders laying on a stretcher, he needs to get his ass out on the field and play like a man.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Put fucking Hanie in. FUCK collins. This is my worst nightmare.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Where did the term"Bear Down" come from?

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Wow. I'm really disappointed that Cutler's out. The game is over. If he pulled himself out, I've lost a lot of respect for that guy.

  • In reply to jj320:

    Cutler sucked.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

This is our backup QB. You guys still want to give JA a big fat extension. We need O-line, WR and Secondary help. And a real backup QB. For how long and for how often must it be said? FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

Over on the ESPN blog stream, they are going apeshit that Cutler pulled himself out, rumor says knee, but he's just standing there not getting treatment on it.

It really does seem as if Cutler quit on us.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

We're just getting flat fucking outplayed on every side of the ball, offense, defense, special teams. We don't deserve to win this game unless our second half effort looks seriously better than our first. They haven't looked this out of joint on all sides since the Pats came to town.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

time to kick in and play their guts out. come on boys.

  • In reply to BearsChick:

    Collins warming up? Oh boy....

  • In reply to BearsChick:

NO. DO NOT put Todd Collins in. Shoot Cutty's knee up with some drugs

  • In reply to BearsChick:

O-LINE SUCKS. They need to get it together...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

But at least we get to watch the fucking american idol winner look like a boob at halftime. Gotta love Fox's willingness to whore itself out at every opportunity. Maybe that guy can play left guard, he looked pretty big.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Or at least dress our best receiver ...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Is is fair to say that Lovie may be good at finding Defensive players that have talent but he absolutely sucks as far as the offensive side of the ball goes? Doesn't a good HC find a way to be good at both?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I've gotta believe that any Packer fan still here and commenting on our sight must be so hideous, so socially unacceptable, so unwelcome with even their family that they have nowhere else to go in the hopes that someone will talk about this game with them. Well ... I'm a Pack fan sitting up in bush Alaska, in a town with no bars, having one last drink and reading Packer blogs. One of those blogs had a link to this thread, and I wanted to see what Bears fans thought about Cutler ....

It's 3 hours earlier here. We've already been on the phone and done all our celebrating! So there.

(I would say 'Bears still s**k,' but I'm much too diplomatic to do that ...... )

  • In reply to PackinAK:

If you read the last few threads and see all of the vitriol the other Packer fans have been spewing maybe you would understand. They have not done your team proud.

There is a blogger named Windy City Packer Fan that presents himself intelligently and respectfully like you are doing and he is always welcome and to my knowledge has never been disrespected here. We give what we get.

You guys clearly deserved to win. Congrats.

  • In reply to CrispieQueen:

Well, this is looking really bad. I hope we can adjust at half, come out and get it to within 7. I am not holding my breath though =(.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

if i'm Cutler, i'm slapping the shit outta all the OL....they need to get their heads out of their asses smh

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

where the hell is J Peppers...

  • In reply to underway:

I've been asking that same question most of the year ....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Hope we can wake up in the second half because right now the Bears are GreenBay's Bitch.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    knox has got to FIGHT....DAMNIT

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Wow..both side of the ball really are piss poor. The score should much higher than 14..youch.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Thank You Mr. Martz, guess we're just throw the ball all dat now. And the defense ain't doin shit!

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Oh, Green Bay will try to end this game now. Be ready Defense.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

See what happens when you pass to set up the run. That is what Green Bay has done. I could have called a better game so far.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

We lost the first Defensive Series
We lost the first Offensive Series
We just lost the battle for field possession.

Our Bears better tighten things up. Now.

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

congrats pizza. You're going to need to bear down a whole lot for the next 5 months mang. Good luck baby!

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

Cheers to a new baby bear.

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

Looked like Hester actually let up a bit at the very end, but still, Jay threw it a bit high. BIG series right here.

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

Not really liking the play calling gents. Need to pass on first downs more. 2nd and 8 sucks cause GB know's it's a pass. Very dissappointed on the first series both ways.

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

    We are getting out schemed.

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

Bear down boys!! Do not let doubt get a foothold

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

They need to force a turnover

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

I can't remember the last time we opened up a game looking so bad on both sides of the ball.

  • In reply to pizzatime7:

Congrats Pizza, sorry the Bad News Bears turned up for ya. Still, you can kiss the baby and forget about football for a while. There's more important things ...

  • In reply to Shady:

Is it bad that I just threw up from nerves?

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

Take a few Xanax, that's what I'm doing....

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Unfortunately, I am active duty, and they test for that. I think it's time to start drinking to settle the nerves.

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

Walk away from the drugs boys, you'll be better for it. Bear Down.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Don't worry, some High Life did the trick.

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

Mmmmm, good Wisconsin Brew. Tastes best with a great Wisconsin Johnsonville Brat!

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

I lost a stipe over that crap teddie. Pretty much blew everything I had worked so hard for in the Corp.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Can somebody have security remove Bradshaw from the field. That guy's a complete jackass anymore, his schtick is old, and he doesn't do his homework on the games anymore. I'm over him, and coming out of my skin. They're about to cover Angelo and Lovie's contract situation, holding my breath.

  • In reply to MattySouthside:

    Bring on our favorite comentators!
    Buck and Aikman!!

  • In reply to tobijohn:

1 huge rum and coke and a ton of pre-game shit regarding the 4 teams road to the championship and I'm in heaven. The fans had better bring the heat. I want the ball first and a huge kickoff return whether they kick it deep to hester or short to manning. Let's fucking do this!

    PACKERS! FUCKING DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Hell, reserve offensive lineman can have 70 yard returns against the Packers. So dream on, Bears fans.

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Maybe I need to reconsider my position on Warren Sapp. He called out the Bears D as the best among the teams playing today.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    I saw that too.

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Major Wright is going to have to become a man today. If Harris can't go full out it is better to have the rook in there healthy.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

T.E.A.M. There is no "I" in team. Suck it up johnny.

Just a little game day fun Johnny.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Man I thought the game started at 2pm. It's 2pm Central. I have been tricked again by that. Another hour to wait? Unbearable. A victory any way possible? Quite bearable.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Wow, Bear fans can't even tell time!

  • In reply to greenbayman:

I'm out...I guess we "WILL" be watching our boys in the Pro Bowl...now that sucks!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Huh?

    What?

    You watch the PRO-BOWL, lobo?

    I am soooo disappointed.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Well, The Packers showed up with a "can do" attitude and we didn't respond. Cutler was just not with the program today, don't know why, but couldn't get the job. The Packers played better and got the job done.
Putting in Collins was a complete waste of time and someone should be fired for it.
    Next Year...as they say.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Labor crap bearing down. No guarantee there will even be a "Next year".

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

I can't believe what I saw on the field today. I was never a fan of Jay Cutler to begin with, but now I will never respect him again!

He runs into the tunnel at half, just fine. ( I heard he was the last one out of the locker room at half, after getting pated up...maybe planting the seeds of his "injury" before coming back out after a dismal first half)...

...He comes out on the first series of the 2nd half, running just fine....he proceeds to look absolutely awful, once again....and proceeds to walk off the field with his head hanging down and throws a limp into his step on his final 2 steps before coming off the field...

    ...He quit!!!

It was even more disgusting to see him riding the bike on the sideline and joking and walking around after the Urlacher INT....

...real champions play the "hero"...Curt Schilling, Kurt Gibson, Michael Jordan...different sports, but these guys MADE IT HAPPEN...they WANTED IT...Jay Cutler shows no guts...this city has put way too much stock in him to have him wquit on us...we deserve better...

...hopefully Lovie saw that and that's why Cutler didn't come back in...he didn't deserve to.

Todd Collins was horrible as usual. Had we just put Hanie in right away, it may have been a different game.

However, Hanie showed more heart, desire, guts and emotion in the quarter he played than I saw out of Cutler all year. Plus, Hanie actually plants his feet, sets and throws on balance...Cutler does not...and if Hanie would have got some snaps in practice, he would have been more prepared.

Hanie won the starting job in that 4th quarter tonite. Cutler can pack his bags for all I care. Too bad we have too much money wrapped up in him to dump him...

...regardless, he will forever be known as Jay "Quitler" until he wins a Championship.

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

You need to read Johnny Waffle a few posts up.

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

"However, Hanie showed more heart, desire, guts and emotion in the quarter he played than I saw out of Cutler all year."

Brilliant post. What the fuck are you talking about. Get the fuck out of here troll.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

It's called shitting the bed when it really counts, and that's what Cutler has done his whole life. This was his first winning season at any stage of his life, and it was because of Urlacher's army. he couldn't even win with an O-line and Brandon Marshall in Denver.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

I live on the East Coast you abortion of a human. Maybe if you went to school for a few decades you could learn how to create your own blog. Nah, probably not. Surely no one would visit it. Fucking loser.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Loser???? I think that would be YOU.

  • In reply to paker12:

No the team lost. I have a great life that I am very grateful for. You live in Wisconsin and the highlight of your life is to troll on other team's blogs since no one can stand to be around you to celebrate with you. Really? Not one friend or family member will talk to you? That is the definition of a loser.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

No, actually, I am the same as you....I live on the East Coast and also have a great life - the only difference is that MY team won! :) That would be the definition of a winner!

  • In reply to paker12:

Your still trolling. Dude you won. GO enjoy it. Seriously, this is your celebration party, hanging out here? Stay then cause I actually feel bad for you.

  • In reply to paker12:

    Your 2010 Chicago Bears

Homers and Angelo/Cutler apologists can stop reading now. Look away. Go hang out with the 4th Phase club or something

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Scary thought, but true.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    very well said lad.

here's something to cheer you up.... wait.... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Cutler-s-NFL-contemporaries-go-after-him-on-Twit?urn=nfl-311321

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Great post Irish. I agree with most of what your saying but Cutler is asked to be a productive QB with the worst offensive line in the league, the WORST. And, with WR's that are 5'10, 6-0 and weigh a buck eighty. Nobody in this league is that good. Brady, Manning, Brees all would get smashed.

I agree we put ourselves in this position and it starts with Angelo and his drafting and acquisitions. I'll go a step further and say Martz is the wrong coordinator for Cutler. And I wouldn't go extending Lovie yet.

  • In reply to Joseph:

True Joseph, but he had time to hit those open receivers today. Rodgers was under pressure also but is accurate even then. Cutler's just not accurate enough. Again, Angelo on the other stuff ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Yeah Martz has his moments/ideas, but he's not right for this roster or O-line ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Angelo apologists? Has such a thing EVER existed? You don't need to write that many words to to let us know Angelo is godawful.

    We Know.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Wow, Irish. So very well said. From the heart.

Many of us Packer folks have said similar things over the years, particularly over bad seasons with one former quarterback. Many of us even dissed management for draft picks -- but then, as it turns out, most of those picks turn out to be pretty darn good after development. It's taken some years. Bears management really needs to look at team needs and fill in the biggest holes. If they can't do that, then management should change.

And Irish, I hope you can find an even better job .... best of luck to you.

  • In reply to paker12:

Why is no one mentioning the decision to punt instead of kick two 49 yard Field Goals in the first half. That final drive may have not had to been a TD drive.

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

I can answer that.. umm... Gould cannot kick past the 40.. quite frankly.

  • In reply to EVILteddie:

Oh yeah, and also -- didn't the Bears also have one or two opportunities for an onside kick? I was expecting one but it never came.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

13/25 with 3TDs and 1 INT is a decent game, but nothing great....he has been mediocre all year on a team held up by it's defense and special teams...

...all I am saying is that IF Cutler was hurt, he had no business being out there at all and cost us by doing so....

...and he looked fine, never limping until he came off the field at the start of the 2nd half...then continued to walk around and bike...call it like I see it...

...and if he does have a slightly torn ligament (which he will to save face at least)...he showed no guts...he didnt want to go back in...

..Kirk Gibson had 2 injured legs and a flu virus, yet he came in at a clutch moment and won a World Series game with a one-handed homerun....Kurt Schilling had a bleeding, torn achilles tendon and won a World Series...

...Michael Jordan was puking at half and at time outs, yet still led the Bulls to an NBA Championship win...

...these guys are HEROES...these guys WANTED IT...Jay Quitler did not.

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

Unfair comparisons. First of all you can't ever compare a football player to a baseball player. Completely different sports and different dexterity needed. Kirk Gibson had bad knees but not torn ligaments and all he had to do was stand there and hit a ball not get hit by a 300 lb man. Michael Jordan was a freak who will never be equalled in sports. Basketball is also able to be completely dominated by one person where football that rarely happens.

  • In reply to jbenton:

My point is, Champions find a will to win...Quitler will never have that...I really hope I eat my words next year, but I just don't see Quitler as a headstrong QB that makes calm decisions...he gets happy feet and prances around in the pocket before deciding to run or ground it...

...comparisons to football or not, it is the stuff Champions are made of...

...and if you want a football compariosn, look no further than Sweetness, who never missed a gmae while playing through various injuries...

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

    brutal

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

    Who had 3 TDs ?

  • In reply to paker12:

Funny about all the guys who have time to twitter about Jay's knee because their teams have been sitting at home all offseason.
    Bunch of chicken-shits.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Our QB............Our Defensive QB.........will do all of those, for he's been doing for 11 years now and he will become a LEGEND TODAY...

I love all of you stupid motherfuckers calling out Cutler. Where the hell were you when he ROASTED the Jets Defense a few weeks ago?

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

stupid is what cutler did today! dont fucking talk shit u cant back up!

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

I simply said his head was not in it for whatever reason. A shame today had to be an off day for him.
Joniak said the same thing. He was overthrowing the guys in warm up too.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

    tru!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

I will not rag on Cutler. But it is true he didn't look right all day, and looked defeated long before we were....head down, hands in warmer, etc. Sad.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Waffle- even if Cutler was hurt, there is no excuse for his performance in the first half. He doesn't plant his feet, he doesn't read coverage, he has his mind made up where he is throwing before he takes the snap, he has lost his ability to scramble, he slides on the ground on 3rd and 11 without even trying to find a reciever...

...did you ever see McMahon run out of bounds? Or did he lower his shoulder for a hit...Champions...we know the difference...Quitler is not one...uncoachable...too slow of a thinker...quitter

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

He ran over someone on a run..ohh that's where he hurt his knee. Doh?!

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

Clown - i have a couple of other items that i need some help with seeing as though you are a fucking mind reader and an expert NFL scout. I had no idea you were able to read an NFL quarterbacks mind to help deduce that he decides where to throw before the snap. That is brilliant. He lost his ability to scramble? are you fucking joking? look at his rushing stats this year you fucking clown. He slid on that one play because there was nothing there and no one open. would you rather him stay up and take the hit you fucking idiot? This is not a video game. You have to be a troll, this is too ridiculous. go away.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

He has an 'off-day' whenever we need to win. When the pressure is on. How many more years of excuses does he get? He's what? 27 ... 28 ?

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

Look cutler had a tough season. I know no other qb could of done what he has done with the oline he has. But FUCK MAN! today oline or not, he did not show up to play!

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

I was there... but hey that game was not the final game of the year... I think we are all hurting and lashing out... I'm getting another bear to console me! LMAO

  • In reply to underway:

    damn... another BEER

  • In reply to underway:

it's pointless to argue this anymore. NFC Championship game in 2nd season with first season in offense with no offensive line and 1 or 2 viable NFL receiver and one of them is a TE. Fuck it though right? Let's get a new OC, new offense, new QB, new coach. Let's rebuild! Never mind that Rodgers has been in this system for 5 fucking years and has 2 potential hall of fame receivers and still only had a 52 rating today. Rodgers would be hung from a tree in this town with the offensive talent we have. let's build the team and get some pieces in place. Also can i stop hearing about some draft picks that we gave up to get Cutler? It's a tough argument given our draft skill.

It's back to the drawing board but this time the board is not empty, it just needs some tweaking and some consistency. Just remember to act like a fan and realize what we did this year with what we had.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    +1

Improve the O-Line(hell, Webb might be passable next year now that he's had some experience), Draft a receiver... Lots of reasons to be optimistic about this team.

I'm emotionally drained and Pissed Off, but lets not go overboard. The crap i'm hearing about people burning Cutler jerseys is downright disgraceful, we're a better fanbase than that.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

When you put it like that, it doesn't sound so bad. Does it take away the fact that Cutler couldn't hit the ground if he fell off a horse ... no ... but it's a fair argument you make.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

He had a bad game. Yeah, It was one of the biggest games in fucking 70 years, but it was still just one bad game.

A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Game.

He's shown more than enough in the last half of the season to give him a pass on this.

  • In reply to underway:

    Dear Jay -

Thank you for the fantastic season. I hope the MRI does not reveal anything too serious. We need you in camp next year. OTA's too. Trent Dilfer is a cunt. I have downgraded him from his dildo status.

The next week is going to test you. The vitriol is real. Fuck them. You are their punching bag. Embrace the pain. We got your back.

What? We can't build our guys up?

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH

sitting at the bar, cursing rodgers for throwing that ungodly redzone pick..... Todd collins walked on the field, and I not only was relieved, but I almost felt better than I did before rodgers took that snap. A couple drives later, I was feeling great (despite the anemic GB offense), and then I saw Hanie trot out. I looked at my buddies and said "fuck, Hanie is not even close to as terrible as todd collins." I knew how fucking terrible Collins was; I saw the carolina game. But I remember reading this blog about everyone's preference of hanie over collins and though most of you guys are a bunch of homers, I assumed you knew what you were talking about when you all favored Hanie. Hanie proved to be effective. I must say; you guys would have put hanie in over collins, and Lovie should have too. I thought Hanie was promoted to 2nd string after the carolina game? I guess I was mistaken.....fortunately.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

NFC Championship - Packer v Bears - The Irish Corner

Soundbite version ? "What a load of old bollocks that was then."

But let's not be all negative, eh ?

    * Either the Steelers win their seventh superbowl, or the Packers win another ... oh ... wait ...

    * Two of our linebackers are really very good, aren't they?

    * Caleb Hanie was finally allowed throw a few passes when the penny finally dropped with our coaches, that Todd Collins, is in fact ... shite. Troy Aikman seemed to think it was "genius" to put Hanie in, when in fact it was just plain stupid to put Collins in at all.

    * Oh Major. Pringles. Sour cream all right. I've seen it all now. I knew there was no point in drafting the seventh best safety, we just keep re-drafting the position. If you're going to draft for a position that needs a starter, fucking draft with purpose like you mean it. Angelo's idea of drafting an Urlacher was Hunter fucking Hillenmeyer. But Major ... oh God ... "I'll drop back into coverage .. no wait, I'll play the run ... no I won't ... I'll ... aw shit I'm nowhere." LOAFER! How many crappy safeties does that make?

    * Martz is not a good OC for us. His in-game adaptation is terrible. He ran on every single first down until we had to play catch up. WTF? We should have been in the hurry up offense from about the second quarter on ... it's like he never left his script. First and ten. Forte. BANG! One yard. Second down, same again. Third down and ten, guess what Green Bay!! Blitz. Bang. Punt.

    * Tim Jennings - turn your head and look for the ball, son. It's allowed.

    * GB blitzed and closed down our passing game in the first half. Yet we rushed four and let Rodgers stand in there. Capers made the same mistake we did in the second half and our 3rd String QB marched down the field.

    * 1 TD in 29 possessions against the Packers before Caleb Hanie ? Really? Eh ... Mr. Martz to reception please ... bag and baggage.

    * Anyone have a clue why Lovie called that time out on 3rd and 4 ? It looked like we had basically gotten the first down on the run up the middle, and then a T.O. was called, then a weird end-around to Bennett that took all day to develop ... WTF?

    * I thought Hanie looked good and had a great game considering he had thrown three passes in the NFL or something of that order. He looked better than Cutler anyway.

    * The 53 yarder I can understand Lovie/Gould passing on .. but 49? We can get Maynard to kick the PATs, why are we paying Gould ?

    * We are always out-coached.

    * The crowd sucked. Silence from the national anthem onwards, bar a bit of booing when we punted. If I was an owner I'd have a lottery for the blue-collar workers, so real fans could come to the games, not the prawn sandwich brigade. Only Freemasons and the Bilderberg Group can afford to go to football games. This is my longstanding lament that sports have been taken away from the people they are meant for.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    Right on.

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

What can I say the better team won today. However, at least as bad as we played today it was still a game. After that poor ass performance by the offensive line there will be no way the front office doesn't drastically shake things up. As for Cutler, i really don't know what to think. I saw him walking around on the sideline without help or crutches. Being a person who blew out my knee playing football I can tell you that the last thing you feel like doing is walking around(it is possible to do so it just hurts like hell) He just seemed to give up and seemed disinterested but maybe I was missing something. Oh well, this exceeded my expectaions and I will always love this team. See you next year Packers. Good luck.

  • In reply to jbenton:

Haney may have thrown the pick-6 and a game-emder, but he showed heart, guts, desire...he scrambled, put his shoulder down and took the hit...he ran a no huddle offense fairly effectively....all of this with ZERO snaps in practice.

After seeing Cutler suck in the first half, then quit, Haney was a new life on the game and you could see it in the energy of the offense when he was in command. He had something to prove. And he did.

He's no slouch...pretty much owns the record book at Colorado State

  • In reply to Clownshoes:

Phrozen, we know its you - you fucking dick

  • In reply to jbenton:

In 1999, at age forty, I blew out my ACL playing soccer, fracturing my tibial margin and causing a minor amount of cartilage damage as well.

After the "white out" of my vision from the pain subsided, I got up, walked off the field and sat on the bench for a few minutes. My teammates asked me if I could finish and I said no. So then I walked two thirds the way around the outside of the field, up about 45 steps, and another 60 yards or so to my car.

No help, no crutches, no cart. But my knee was DEFINITELY fucked up.

So, yeah, Cutler could easily have a blown knee.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

I'm not saying he couldn't have. I just said even before he was hurt he looked very frustrated and nothing like he did last week. He just seemed like he had enough with his shitty line play and got frustrated and gave up. That's just what I saw anyways not that my opinion matters. Cutlers the only one who can answer that.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Didn't Jay want to go back in?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I am hearing now that Lovie may have blown it by taking Collins out before the fourth quarter. Somthing about going through 1st and 2nd string qbs before the fourth and neither can go back in. So I guess it's possible he wanted back in but couldn't go back.

  • In reply to jbenton:

When the third goes in, he can't come back in.

Hanie was inactive for this game.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

If it was Lovie's call on Collins being the 2nd stringer that is enough to fire him IMO after everything else he has screwed up.

  • In reply to jbenton:

They fucked up, they should have kept Collins in until the fourth qtr began, and then pulled him and inserted Hanie. Then if Hanie went down they could put another QB in. Had Hanie gone down on the foirst play of the 4th QTR, Forte or somebody would have to play QB. Imagine that ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Yep, Irish -- you got it right. Talking Heads mentioned that.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Yep, Irish -- you got it right. Talking Heads mentioned that.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Cutler's injury looks legit: torn knee ligament, and will probably need arthroscopic.

I would rather root for the Steelers and rapefoot than watch the Pack win. After the assholes like phrozen, who is really a sad ballsack of a fucktard - come in here and run shit - packers can go fucking hang.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Arthoscopic is much better than reconstructive. At least he will most likely be ready for next season if there is one.

  • In reply to jbenton:

    training camp?

  • In reply to FQD1911:

If it's artho he should very much be ready for training camp.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    GP..+1 on the peckers

  • In reply to gpldan:

Too bad, there is still a few seats left on the Packer Bandwagon.

  • In reply to greenbayman:

I'll wait. I'm still attaching the semtex ...

  • In reply to gpldan:

isn't that terrible? Root for the rapist or the Fudgers? I'm not even going to watch it. I always lose interest when the Bears go out.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Absolutely, I could see myself rooting for like the Ravens or even the Seahawks if one of them made it(or both, hell yeah Bird Bowl)

Steelers/Packers though? Just f'ing shoot me.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

TheBigCheesy, they DID promote Hanie after that game. Then they demoted him within a couple of weeks because apparently Collins is better than him when there is no pass rush in practice.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I said your house of cards would fall -realistically you shouldn't have even been in the playoffs-we all know about Luckie's good fortune, in fact as reported by an ESPN writer, if that Detroit touchdown wasn't such a disgrace of a call, the mighty bears wouldn't have even been in the playoffs - so you're big win over the Seahawks isn't all that impressive. I heard a bear fan say this morning, on the Score- "even if Cutler has a bad game we're still going to beat Green Bay's ass. I thought McCarthy did a wonderful job of not embarrassing your lucky-to be-there- anyways- monsters of the midway over paid one-year older bears. Detroit didn't forget. the smoke and mirrors finally ended as we all knew it would. I love that I can talk about this win the rest of my life and can die Happy that Green Bay beat the shit out of the bears in the biggest game of the nfl's history. c'mpn cut c'mpn pepp. both way overpaid heee hee haaa bahhbahahhhabhaabahhh
BAHHHH BAHHHH BAHHH = TIMEOUT LOVIE - WE ALL LOVE YOU NOW COMON JERRY GET US SOMEONE TO HELP OUT BAHHHHHHHHA BAHHHHH BAHHHH... WHAT AN ASS BEATIN. ALSO IS MARTZ GAY?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

I wasn't exactly pleased with our offense today. Hanie was one Sam Shields away of toppling our house.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

I'm sure you're dealing enough with trolls, but I have to say this was exactly the weird kind of game in which the ending was much weirder than I could have imagined. The ending was exactly as I had feared it would be....way to damn close.

  • In reply to RodgerRodger:

A lot of Packers fans have been very classy(easy to be classy in victory :P), and the game was incredibly intense for me and exactly the sort of thing I want to see when I watch football(except with a Bears victory...)

And no hard feelings, but fuck the Packers.

  • In reply to RodgerRodger:

AMEN! Saw the same here in Alaska!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

It's bullshit comments like this that makes me hate you guys. By the way the rumor running through NFL forums is that Rodgers is gay. Just saying, I could see it.

  • In reply to gpldan:

GPLDAN, do you have a link for that info?

I read that he was scheduled for an MRI tomorrow, so how would they know this soon?

  • In reply to gpldan:

  • In reply to Mastodon:

i walked off the field after breaking my neck. i thought it was strained. My asst coach told me to man up and get back in there because it was the 4th quarter. I told him i couldn't go. it was fucking broken. only time will tell what happened. in the meantime let's hold off on the execution of our qb for awhile.
I too lashed out regarding the defensive performance in the first half. I know the D had an overall good game. It was just so painful to watch the first half that it colored my comments regarding their overall play. Same goes for Cutler. If you didn't like him before you call for his head and disregard everything he helped us accomplish this year. If you liked him you want to find out what the fuck happened. One of 4 teams out of 32 left and people are talking bust, firings, pussy, quitter....fuck that noise. we all need a little perspective

  • In reply to hollywood1:

At the same time Johnny, the season is over and so now the year's overall feelings come out. There will be those that say "Hey, we made it to the NFC championship game after expecting very little this season." I wish I could be like that, but I'm not. I've been waiting for 25 fucking years for another super bowl supporting a team that is the second biggest market in the USA ... and now I'll have to watch a pissant mining town win their seventh Lombardi and it makes me want to Puke my fucking stomach lining right out of my body.

I started loving Cutler, moved to defending him a lot, then making excuses, but now I've seen the eternal shining light int he statement game that we've just seen. Cometh the hour cometh the man. Cutler's a boy, and always will be. He's a mobile Rex Grossman. Maybe that'll be my new name for him - Mobile Rex.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Okay - fair enough Dave, good point. Anyway, people are taking the "was he/wasn't he?" thing too far. He sucked when he was on the field from his first pass. He couldn't hit the ground if he fell off his horse. The injury stuff is irrelevant, are we agreed people?

  • In reply to jbenton:

ask John Elway what he thinks of Jay Cutler, Cutler blew off a meeting with him, showed up with his hat backwards and didnt give to fucks what he had to say, was watching t.v. Elway called him a punk, Urlacher was right about Jay Cutler when he first got traded here, we have been had. If Cutler had a torn ACL, then he might survive in chicago but if he doesnt, no athelete will ever be more grilled in history

  • In reply to robclements36:

I've been very critical today about Cutlers performance and if he wasn't hurt you're right he's going to get shit on but as far as what Elway says about him, who gives a shit. Elways opinion doesn't matter. What matters is how Jay responds next year and maybe getting him a little help up front.

  • In reply to jbenton:

John Elway is a legend and won two super bowls, so his opinion does matter. He was a winner. Cutler hasn't earned the right to hold Elway's jock.

  • In reply to robclements36:

Well guess what? I guess Jay can still come to your summer bbq this year, because the reports are that he does - indeed - have a torn knee ligament and will need surgery.

  • In reply to jbenton:

He didn't blow his knee out, he walked off the pitch. He was bouncing around in the pocket on every pass attempt.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Okay, have read more news since then, still nothing about an MCL though.

  • In reply to jbenton:

That's it Jab. Eternal heartache but we'll always love them. Just like family members.

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

Waiting for a super bowl ? What's stupid about calling out Cutler? I've been doing it for months cos I'm not a homer. What's stupid si continuing to defend a loser. Or having him in a Broncos uniform on your avatar if you're a Bears fan ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

And by the way, the Jets aren't all that. The Steelers were up 24 points to zip up on the Jets with their second center.

  • In reply to paker12:

The Steelers will destroy you. No Super Bowl for you. Matty the Wise says.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    and, again.....BEND OVER!

  • In reply to paker12:

I'm not your sister loser or the family cow. Better luck with them.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Blogfader....I now have a new ScreenSaver...thank you!!! hope you don't mind.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Ah, Arrogant Bastard.
I'm rocking the Mountain Standard Double Black IPA post-game.

During the game, Boulevard Wheat and the tears of sad Packer fans.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Wish I could post a photo;

My dad, 94, rockin the Payton jersey,
Me, 40somethingnoneofyourbusiness, rockin my Urlacher for now,
My son, 12, rockin the Cutty baby!!!

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Bomber of Aarogant Bastard on ice for the post game celebration. Check.

    Chicago Style Pizza. Check.

    Many, many kind buds. Check.

Can of Copenhagen long cut. Check.

    It's on.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

I'm a Skoal Wintergreen Long Cut guy. No ganj though. Too many wizz quizzes.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I thought Jeff's info on Chris Harris' impact on this team was quite telling. He'll play because he's a true warrior and the only thing that scares him is letting down his brothers on D. If he's not 100%, and can't make the plays, he's the kind of true professional that will do all he can from the sidelines to help Major Wright be great today. T minus 3 hours and 5 minutes to Jim Cornelison. Hell Yeah, it's time.

  • SEVENTH Heaven today boys. And Girls.

    BEARING DOWN.

  • BEAR DOWN!!

Isn't it great we have something cooler to say than a lame "Go Pack!", or "Pack Fudge!" or whatever?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Isn't it great we have the best Fight Song in the NFL!

  • In reply to buckbear:

    We sure do!!

What's theirs? "I don't want to work".... WTF???

    Figures.

  • I EIGHT the Packers

  • Max, as sad as I am to hear that you have to work today and won't be able to watch the game live, your dedication to our beloved Bears and the lengths you've gone to make sure you don't miss a snap is the kind of dedication our fans have that makes me proud. Great attention to detail with the trial run as well, but how does your old man feel about giving up 180+ minutes to this? I'm sure I know the answer, but had to ask anyway.

On a day like today, I need some George Wendt. Anyone care to post(I'm technically challenged or I'd do it myself) a clip or two of the Superfan's best work?

  • The humongous Chicago Bears fan base needs to use it's collective will to WILL them the Bears to victory today. No negative thoughts.

    We WILL Win. Believe it!

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

There is no doubt in my mind they will win!

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Damn, pretty strong contingency in SD on DBB. Good shit.

Where's Matty? He hasn't been around in months.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I'm hoping everybody (bears fans only) makes an appearance today. Save for those at the game maybe. Then again, with modern technology, I expect several full reports from inside Soldier Field.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

I'll be incommunicado during the game as the browser on my HTC snap blows and there is no mobile version of ChicagoNow.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Today is finally here! 21-17 Bears win

  • I was only 4 months old during the 85 Season, so this is easily the biggest game of my life. There has been nothing but Packer love outside of Chicago (I currently live in San Diego) and it has done nothing but pump me up. Today is when the Bears can go out and shut up Rick Reily, Trent Dilfer, Jim Rome, Boomer, Tom Jackson, all these guys. We can listen to them back track and eat crow all day tomorrow. We can go into our job places and tell everybody "told ya so" and flaunt our 54 and 22 jerseys proudly until next Fall.

It's going to be a fucking epic day.

  • Your dad kicks ass.

  • Jeez Max. Does the mafia own your car rental service. Cripes. It would seem with todays current technologies you could listen to the radio feed right from your phone. Or the national radio feed. Either way, I hope it works for ya. If it were me, though, I'd quit.

Is it too late to have the service dude break YOUR arm?

  • Makes sure the cell is AC power and not the battery

  • i like the commitment Max, make it happen. Joniak calls a great game

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    Shame we don't play one.

  • Damn, Max. That's amazing. Great committment on your part, sir.

  • I'm completely freaking out. I have no idea what to do with myself. Somebody, help me. What do I do for the next hour and a half?

  • So that's our Cutler defense now ? He throws a mean stiff-arm ? How about complete a fucking pass for us to an open receiver?

  • That would be unfair to say of Cutler if anyone really meant that ... again, failure to perceive. We're really talking about his performance ON the field.
