Divisional Round Saturday Games Thread

You don't have a rivalry until your best pass rusher (Terrell Suggs, above) starts flipping the bird to the opponent on a t-shirt.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Rogers is scaryu. How did the Bears defense hold him to 10 points in a game that meant nothing to them...

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Seriously. This GB attack is unstoppable.

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Have not read any comments, may not. All I have to say is that *yet again* the refs give a game to fucking Pittsburgh

  • In reply to Mastodon:

That's not what I saw Dave. The Steeler's took it to em. Don't have a dog in the fight, just calling it like I saw it.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Yeah, it's true that the Ravens did not have to let the Steelers score after the refs took away the TD on that return.

  • In reply to tobijohn:

This game's over. All that remains to be seen is if the Bears can take care of business tomorrow.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    when

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Wow, if the Falcons continue to choke the Cheese will either be coming to ChiTown or Seattle. Perish the thought, I don't think I could watch a GB/Seattle Championship game.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

The Rodgers you see tonight will NOT be the Rodgers you see next week.

I sure as fuck hope not, because I don't think even the '85 Bears could stop this Rodgers.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Well Boys, I don't see any way the Packers lose this game. So far everything is going to plan. Smoke the Skankhawks tomorrow, beat the Cheese in Chicago next week, then it's off to Dallas.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Turn out the lights, the party's over! Rogers is lookin like he's in a zone tonight. I thought the Falcon defense was better. They play soft, not able to get pressure and can not compete man to man with cheese receivers. Looks like the cheese is comin to town.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    great minds....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    So True

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Dude, I called this for the Packers before halftime.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Look up, I called it 20 mins before you.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I called it at 8:40, you at 9:09. But whatever, it's not really worth arguing over.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    Look again at 8:10

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I called it on the sixth post of the thread. So there.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm incommunicado until after the games tomorrow. May The Force Be With Us.

    BEAR DOWN Brothers and Sisters.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm 2-0 today gents. Bears have home field throughout the playoffs. Seattle will lose. Bears are the luckiest team of the year. Tripping and stumbling all the way to Dallas. Ha ha ha. Screw you Reilly. Ha ha ha ha ha.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Matt Ryan just forced me out of this one. we have business tomorrow...let's focus on that and that alone.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Bird hunting has been pretty good the past two weeks, boys. Are you ready? I sure as shit hope so, because I truly would hate to get to Dallas flying out of Seattle. Seems like having the week off hasn't really served the teams well, has it? Good thing you didn't try hard to win in the last meeting, it's almost like a two week vacation then. Stay healthy and win big tomorrow. No pressure.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Rodgers played one of those games that makes you love the game of football. This game is going to haunt John Abraham for a long time. I started counting the amount of missing sack opportunities and the resulting 200 yards in passing yardage and multiple drive extending first downs. Aaron played a great fucking game. The Bears are going to take care of business and then superbowl part I at Soldier Field next weekend.
Everyone knows the Bears played hard against the Pack last time. It's going to be a war. I love football.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Packer guard Daryn Colledge said Rodgers was miffed at not making the Pro Bowl and was "taking it out on everyone." The last time Atlanta saw someone that pissed off was U.S. Grant.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

I think you are thinking of Sherman

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Don't be so charitable phrozen. The best cheese is the stinky kind. It tastes better when it gets devoured.

  • In reply to buckbear:

Don't worry, there's a nasty ass pile waiting for you. But Bears fans goal of the day should be going bathroom outside of your pants.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

I didn't say anything about any ass piles. There's no need to result to potty jokes either. I was just concerned that you may have joined civilized society. It might be difficult, if you had, to go back to your cheesehead brethren.

  • In reply to buckbear:

Civilized society would not have let me finish my can of brew with the cigarette butt in it this morning.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

+1 Not many times does a cheeshead score points with me. But self-deprecating humor will get you places.

Time to take care of business, Jay and company.
    Let's do this.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Packers fans and Bears fans all know the way this should play out is an NFC Championship game in Chicago.

You guys did your part. Now it's up to us to do ours.

    BEAR DOWN!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I think anyone who didn't pick Rodgers as his QB for the fantasy picks this week is out. I would've, but I thought he would scorch the Eagles more than the Falcons at home - man I was wrong.

It'd be interesting to see if anyone who didn't pick Rodgers gets through to the next round...

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

There are two games left. Not sure anyone took Sanchez, but Cutler, Hasselbeck, and Brady have been picked.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    First! Damn wrong Thread!!!!!!!

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Did not see either game....that GB score makes me kind of nauseated.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

and before any of the trolls come on............................... FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! try that on for size Fudgepeckers

  • In reply to Ufficio:

I knew Atlanta were the real posers all season. I wonder where the media hacks will rank em now.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

And they thought it was us all along...

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    Dirty Bird Fans..all quite...
The stink is just like someone farting in Church....and everyone keeps looking at each other to see who let it go.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

You need to get out more lobo. Ha ha.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Mike Smith pulled a LDL.."HEY CHALLENGE THAT!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Kuhn concussed? Sure looked like it.

  • In reply to Vicp71:

And all the fudgepackers fans reply "Uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhnnnnnnnn"

  • In reply to nicholsra:

An elderly couple is sitting in church. The wife turns and whispers to her husband "I just let a silent fart, what should I do?"

The husband replies "get a new battery for your hearing aid."

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    :o)

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Nah, that was, sorry. Brussel sprouts.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

we beat GB and then lost by 7. If i hear one more:

"omg how can we stop rodgers he looks so good"

I will fucking puke. Seahawks DEAD then GB is fucking next. Are you kidding me? They get a 6th round RB in there and all of a sudden the Packers are some multi-faceted team? The problem is that the FALCONS CAN"T FUCKING TACKLE RODGERS. The fall for the same move every time. They get pressure on every pass play and on every pass play they fucking screw it up and don' tackle Rodgers for a 12 yard loss. time to man up men. Rodgers is fucking dead.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Johnny..agree!!!! this is all on the Atlanta..BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Either the packers are getting better or the falcons just came unprepared.

  • In reply to Bounce:

    Bounce..the Falcons came unprepared....

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Yeah, seems like falcons defense didn't come to play.

  • In reply to Bounce:

They were lost. Bad matchup for them, nothing worked.

  • In reply to Bounce:

Falcons D looks like ass. Falcons O looks like ass. Bj Raji has a fat Ass.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

What will it be like all week knowing the Bears will be hosting the Packers for the George Halas trophy and a superbowl birth? The scenario simply defies my imagination. The championship games have always been my favorite games to watch every year, and this time it could be, should be the best of them all. We HAVE to win tomorrow. And we have to win big. Let it be so.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Beat the Seahawks, then game on. Two Super Bowls in one season.

  • In reply to DocNitty34:

Guys, one game at a time. Shit, you all think that we are going to just walk over this team and I doubt we will.

Fuck hosting a NFC Championship game if we can't beat the Seahawks.

    Nothing is guaranteed in playoffs.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    +1000

  • In reply to Bounce:

Now do you see how important it was to play our starters against the Pack two weeks ago Jeff?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    +100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • In reply to Bounce:

I think the Falcons still think it's their bye week.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

They could only put up 10 points on us, at Lambeau. I think we can get at least 11 off them in Soldier Field. How about four safeties and a 64 yard FG ?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

hey we all said the Falcons were beatable...tonight we are seeing it..

It's not the GB is better the O for the Falcons just have one big "FEAR BONER"......they didn't read the label...if it last more than the three quarters you must call a physician.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    Falcons=Fear Boner

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

The Falcons are exactly who I thought they were. Good at home - when Turners healthy - against average to poor opposition. I'd rather have played them in Atlanta than get the Cheese in Soldier Field.

  • In reply to tobijohn:

sheite!!!!!!!!!! Dirty Birds giving the game away in the first..

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    true response is:

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

ooppps..... starks at the eight... implosion anyone?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Sweet, GB getting fucked over by their special teams.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

The cheese just made two long touchdown drives look easy. They could blow the doors wide open any moment boys. Unless of course there just happens to be a few key injuries.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Check the answer to GPL's trivia, follow the link, lift lighters and sing along you hooligan's!

  • Better walk the walk suggs. First

  • damn.. I got some Omiyale in me.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Classic.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Damn! The Carnies at the State Fair do a great job!

Walk the walk Suggs! Put up or shut up time.

Just read Simmons on the 4-letter.com and I am now convinced beyond any doubt, Bears win by double digits.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Sweet Shirt. I like that rivalry.

To Win (in order of degrees of certainty):

Chicago, New England, Pittsburgh, Green Bay

    Go Playoffs!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I'm not a fan of any of these teams or players ... I mean I'll still be watching but it's like I'm rooting against everyone.

  • I always have to root for one team, for that one game. It all boils down to which team I hate more or which team has sucked forever and root for them out of pity.

Most of the teams left aren't on the hate list (other than the Pats and Fudgies). Hoping the Jets win because Ryan's a loud mouth but I get a kick out of him (I'm sure most of the players love playing for him). Not to mention, we can beat the Jets. Pittsburgh and Baltimore are the same team except Rape man is better than Flacco.

I don't get all the Packer love from the media. The Falcons remind me of the 2006 Bears. Not in style but in lack of recognition. They're 13-3 for a reason. They never blow anyone out but I think that's a plus. They know how to win close games. That's the mark of a good team. Having said that, my dream scenario is Bears/Fudgies next week and we smoke 'em.

  • saw this comment on a Bob LeGere blog. make of it as you will:

"Live in Denver. Life long Bears fan and Broncos fan since 1961.

Spend lots of time at DIA- airport- near the only coffee places Caribou Coffee and the coffee stand in the United concourse.

Have watched Reilly yell at service workers at the coffee place. Asked who was that and they told me. Service employees also told me that he is always an *********. He tells people who he is, always takes extra seats while waiting for a flight- typing, on the phone, talking loud, etc.

Cutler- know one person who knew him in Denver- long time employee- who works at Bronco headquarters- low level. Cutler is a "wait in line", "please, thank you", quiet, non chalant, treat everyone the same- except media people- kind of guy. Will go to Round Robin with clerical people just as soon as go with the GM. Almost every time he went to the diabetes unit at the hospital-no media allowed- he talked to young patients. On the internet, you will see hundreds of Jay Cutler fan taken photos of him with sick kids and their parents.

Cutler thinks media people are scum and they know he does and they are trying to destroy him.
Reilly is scum and his articles about forgiving the dog torturer, and the serial rapist- Vick and Big Ben- well that proves it."

    link: http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/5075

  • In reply to FQD1911:

I think Reilly and others in sports media got together, maybe via email, and decided to dial up the pressure on Cutler to 11 outta 10 this week.

Just because they don't like him.

The guys on the Score are also doing it. Manley and Handley or whatever the fuck those two are called, and other shows we have a lot of "if Cutler fucks this up, he isn't who we thought he was." talk.

What's funny to me, is that I really think Jay Cutler doesn't let it bother him. He likes fucking over the nay sayers and he enjoys winning. And all this just motivates him.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Watching this game, its obvious the Steelers and Ravens hate each other. Make our current day rivalry with the Cheese look like a love fest.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Sloppy sloppy mistake by the Steelers just standing around and not covering up the football. I guess football players ain't so bright after all.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

That play was fucking unbelievable. When is the last time you saw a QB get hit, have the ball travel like that, and have it NOT called an INCP?

Steelers stood around like jackwagons, team is totally flat.

  • In reply to FQD1911:
