  • F!#$@$!#@$CK the Fudgepackers up!!!! hhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Need some lovin for the EAGLES also.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Agreed. Giants front four horrifies me in the playoffs. We have no chance to block them.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

I gave that some thought. I wouldn't mind seeing our goal line offense used to counter their speed. 4 Qtr's of a power running game to punish them - with some no-huddle thrown in to own tempo.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

If getting Twitter here by our Blogfather means that even a small percentage of the sixteen word marching morons on Twitter will be peeking and trolling our post - count me as annoyed, irritated, concerned, problematic, phelgmatic, disappointed, itchy, scratchy,(and)angry.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Touche (with the little eclef thing over the e).

  • In reply to kenbill:

Tom Brady looks like "GEEEZ do we have to play this one".

This is the zany New England Patriots team tonight. Running into one another and stuff like that - yuk, yuk.

The NFL should call it The Fill-in-the-Letter - The _uck Rule.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

Affirmative, Captain. Our shields cannae take any more o' that, Jim.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

I have little to no chance of catching Murph, but at least I won't rely on neckbeard to do it for me.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I'll keep watching over my shoulder.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Yes. Fly, Eagles, Fly. i'd like that game to be a track meet. I have Vick, Maclin and Jacobs in my FF lineup.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Of cousre, my opponent has Ahmad Bradshaw.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Never, ever, ever, ever. I am glad the Giants won. I will deal with the consequences later.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Oh shit no. Spoke too soon, eh? GAAAAAAWD I hate the Eagles.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Giants would have home field advantage over us...?

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    and now/

  • In reply to sjvl:

we have a better shot of securing the # 2 seed

  • In reply to sjvl:

Leave a comment... PANTS the Steelers with a great bootleg on 4th down.

I hope the Bears were taking notes.

  • Maybe we can use that on the blog. Instead of using #1's favorite LOLOLO we can incorporate your OOL the "one of levity" I'm glad your playing it safe by explaining your intentions. You really can't afford to offend too many others. "OOL"

I like to tell a lot of tall tales to friends and family, but tell the truth afterward. Does that make me a bullshit artist?

  • In reply to kenbill:

5 mins against the Pats with a Backup QB and the Packers still look better than our Offense. Why didnt we run the ball more? this is how cleveland beat them.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Oh give it time, Fres. Tom Terriffic hasn't even warmed up yet.

  • In reply to sjvl:

hes warmed now. Bears game all over again. lol

  • In reply to kenbill:

I enjoyed the irony of a guy writing a book on bullshit and then talking complete bullshit in order to advertise it.

Sidenote: Can anyone remember, or have they heard of the writer who's father said the following to him before he hung himself right there and then. Along the lines of "Most people are bullshitters and everyone's a liar ..." ? I thought it was A.A. Gill, but nothing turned up on Google (on the first of results of course!)

  • It only took sexy Rexy seven plays to turn the ball over on a pick.

  • Someone needs to come up with a funny tweaker on twitter youtube entry.

  • Agreed - buy why Jags?

  • Giants just torching the Eagles.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Yeah Murph, it's been ugly man. Eagles can't do shit.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Man, that Dline is frightening... especailly for us.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

There's no way I want to face these guys in the playoffs. If they can make Vick so freakin uncomfortable, I just don't want us to play that game.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

What are your thoughts now, Murph? Dammit.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

they so completely kicked the shit out of us it's just insanity to think the result would be any different.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB - (Don't know about Al, but I suspect he's done it) - I raised or is it "reared" four. Just direct any complaints, whines, feeling sorry for yrself and so on to me.

My son just had a son in South Bend and is going through the same deal as all of us who have had children. I know I drank way too much Budweiser in bottles during the summer. We're currently taking care of a one year old grandson three days a week - I'm seventy - grandma is sixty-seven. Boo-yah.

Right now you have two full time jobs and your wife has one...eventually she will have one and so will you. Unless you both work and you rely on grandma / grandpa - or some other arrangement -but child care is very, very expensive as well as always a risk. No one can love yr children like your family. Is this yr first or do you have other children? I tell my wife it's not Eat, Pray, Love - it's Eat, Eat and Poop.

It's important to stay the course despite the ball busting misery, tiredness and dirty Pampers - Huggies etc.

    Oh, yez --- Go Bears

    Best - Jack

  • In reply to kenbill:

Thanks Jack precciate the advice and support. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have a VERY active little 21 month old and my other baby... a software start up.

I should probably just shut the hell up and stop whining though.

Godd for you and the misses on the rearin'! Very impressive.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Good. Missus.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Now I know why I pay so much for RedZone. It's great just to watch the RedZone early on Sunday and then watch complete Bears or late games.

Although when one watches the RedZone one sees that there are many, many plays that do not work and it makes a fan feel better that others than your team can't always be "professionals".

The Ravens game seems to be telling something about great defense and adequate offense.

Peyton seems to sense that the Jags might win.

Skins / Cowboys - Why did we lose to the Skins - 17-14?

  • In reply to kenbill:

That was the infamous "No challenge cost us a TD" game.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

That was so effed up. I think it's better to use your challenges than not use them at all, which is why I never cared that Lovie's challenges were so under-overturned. Then he leaves it in his pocket on a combination TD/turnover call?! Idiotic!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB - Especially off-season expect updates on those kids. Believe me when I say I'm there with the wipes, wash cloths, Desitin - sippy cups - bottles - high-chairs - colic - croup (hold in closed bathroom with hot shower on for humidity) and on, and on.

Note: Fisher-Price has stolen Eat,Pray,Love crap and call it Play,Laugh,Grow. How about some Little Tikes?

Go Bears on Monday Night - Update - Field Unplayable according to some kicker.

Is there a vodka / martini sippy cup?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

HOW ABOUT REXY SEXY? thats two Qbs that Left us and Done good.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Did he ever throw four TDs in one game for us?

  • In reply to tobijohn:

    Yes he did.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Pretty sure it was against Detroit.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

It would have to be Detroit wouldn't it.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Cormonster dogged Rex a little too soon.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

I was watching the game cast on ESPN and rooting for Rex to pull it out while watching the Eagles-Giants game. That was a hell of a comeback by the Skins. I hope he does well.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Whoa there Fres. This is Wrecks, remember? It's one game, and he did lose it for them in the end!

  • In reply to kenbill:

Yes, done the chuild thing. Just once. Got her educated and she's a gainfully employed, taxpaying, solid citizen. Don't know HOW people can afford more than 1 or 2 kids these days.

  • In reply to kenbill:

You are doing a great thing, Jack and Mrs. Jack. There is no substitute for family.

  • Thanks for asking doc.

    No, and it sucks

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Wait 'til your kid is 12 and argues every word that comes out of your mouth. I love my son, but he is a booger. Aah, I remember the days when he couldn't talk.....

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Aah Sexy Rexy. Don't miss you a bit.

  • In reply to sjvl:

can we get Mr. Fitzgerald, I mean, he can't want to stay there in Arizona and he would love to have a QB that would just throw the ball to him no matter what... just sayin.

MB, hang in there man, I tried telling my family I am a mascot lol they just think I'm only allowed to be on sundays, maybe mondays, and thursdays.

Yeah, our qb's that leave us may play good now but do any of them have a winning season since they left us? I think not.

But damn them, for playing like superstars now that they are out of Chicago.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Are we calling Wrecks a superstar Artoo? Have you been smoking the kryptonite? What did Jor-El tell you about smoking the kryptonite? Tsk tsk.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Next year I will have an entire fantasy team with hyphenated names.
    I must begin recruitment immediately.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I was JUST about to type, "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!?!?!" when that happened.

Be-u-tiful. Common fucking patsies, time to turn this on and fucking crush these asshats.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Ya gotta give him a lil Love sj, he played well.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Ok, I'll give him an x, but not an o.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    the X is for sex.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    Eeeeewwwww, Fres. Ick. Gotta pass.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    Desean Jackson I hate you!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Yeah, I'd rather have seen that game go to O.T. and win on a field goal. That would have cut the team I'm chasing to a 3 point lead. Now he's up 12 and still has Welker. 'Course his opponent is still in the hunt with Michael Turner and Tom Brady in his lineup.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Who knew this would happen..Tebow in 3 plays 40 yard run for TD then a 33 yard pass for TD to Brandon Lloyd.

Thank you to the Lions and Ravens.

  • In reply to brandonpurcell:

Brandon Lloyd. The ESPN Fantasy geeks said: "Sit 'em".

  • In reply to sjvl:

    They did it again.

one of the clowns on Fox was giving kudos to John Fox, his team "never quits".

    Wow.

They won their SECOND game of the year.

Against the CARDINALS and their rookie QB!!

    Big whoop!

THEN they were making excuses for the Saints.

But, of course, the Bears are the luckiest 9-4 team in NFL history.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Jekyl and Hyde, Al. Jekyl and Hide.

  • In reply to sjvl:

If they would have won he deserved an O, but an x will have to do.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    How do you spell "Collapse".

    N Y G I A N T S.

    LOL.

Up 27-6 with 7:31 to go?

    LOL!

Oh, and thank you AGAIN, Lions!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Correction. It was 31-10 with 7:301 to go.

    JUST as hilarious though, no?

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Yes, and can anyone, anyone, explain why they wanted the Eagles to win today???? You want to see this team in the playoffs? Shit.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Here you go SJ, hope this helps:

    http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=7395

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

Attention "Experts": The Bears 2 wins over Detroit don't look quite so bad NOW, do they?

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Detroit is only getting better, they are going to be tough in the years to come. All it takes is a little confidence and some wins. Look for the Lions to finish with four straight wins to end the season.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Hey, you have to play SOMEBODY in the playoffs. I'd rather play THEM at Soldier Field than have to go to Jersey and see the Giants again.

  • In reply to sjvl:

If the Bears and Eagles are tied with the second best division record, the Bears would get the bye because we kicked their ass.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

Error on my part. If the Bears and Eagles both win their divisions and have the same record, the Bears win the tie-breaker and get the bye.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

    A bye is always good.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    as I said.

  • In reply to sjvl:

We can beat them, can't beat the Giants though - plus the Giants would get homefield I think. Can't stop their DL and we can't stop BJ. Eli sucks, but they only really need him to hand it off and occasionally hit a receiver.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Matt Flynn? Matt Flynn? Matt Flynn?

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Ah Rexy. Always gotta sign off with an 'INT' ... it's in your programming ...

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

There is something awesome about an offensive lineman chugging down the sidelines. I love the straight arm. I really wish he would have scored.

  • In reply to brandonpurcell:

me to. Did you see how he was holding the ball

No need to repeat yourself Artoo.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

I swear, It says it doesn't take it.. because I thought it wasn't here. Sorry.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Just bustin yer chops

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

SECONDS left and you punt to Desean Jackson?

    BRILLIANT!

THAT, boys and girls, is the kind of loss that can derail an entire season!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    11 seconds, to be exact.

I hope the Giants' punter knows the way to the unemployment office.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Good call. I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    This is pretty funny http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Danny-Woodhead-sells-his-own-jerseys-with-little?urn=nfl-297745

When he tries to sell him on the Woodhead jersey the guy says "too small". Damn what a slap in the face. I bet that guy felt like shit after he found out who it was.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

It's looking like another snow game tomorrow. I don't live far from Minneapolis and they are talking about 5-7 inches tomorrow. There's already about 30 inches on the ground and nowhere to put the snow. I hope Posse is already on the road. Here's the forecast for tomorrow:
    http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=Minneapolis,%20Minnesota&wuSelect=WEATHER

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

How did you get the nickname Artoo?

  • In reply to TheFifth:

I think Doc pinned it on him.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Sorry Murph, but the credit goes to Irish.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Damn memory is shot.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Your Superman to me Artoo.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Lar Bear. I'll take him in a heartbeat.

  • In reply to sjvl:

    Unreal. Freakin Eagles come back

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Camp X-Ray. Abu Ghraib. MB's bedroom. Sleep deprivation man. Not cool. Share the pain with your blog brethren is about all you can do, or get one of those Burmese housemaids and delegate.

And that six months turns into waaay longer dude. I now think of my partner as the mother of my children and don't think of her in a sexual way whatsoever. I saw her come out of the bathroom the other day and was reminded what a lady's front bottom looked like. It was like being thirteen and I was seeing something I wasn't supposed to see.

Ass kicked at work, ass kicked at home, no sleep. We feel ya mang. If you turn up at one of those school board meetings, we'll understand completely. Bear down.

  • Thanks my man. Preciate the offer of lactation help.

We've got someone coming in on Tuesday, if that doesn't help, I may take you up on it... He was a great feeder for the first 3 weeks then all of a sudden bam, latch issues. They thought it was the frenulum (sp?), but that turned out ok... anyway... he's thriving and in fact the little fucker is putting on a pound a week! You can almost hear him growing. Our daughter was also a nightmare feeder. Anyway, I just figure it

  • In reply to MB30SD:

There you go MB, lactation consultant. Man, I have a lactation story that is just not bloggable. So there's that ...

This is worth a shot - any NLP folk on here? Anybody? Bueller ?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    NFL, THE NEW NBA?????????

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I want the Packers to win this one. Yea I said it. I want these guys to push us, I dont want them to rollover. I want a Challenge.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

And they will mate, they will...

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

New Rule - Do not kick to Connelly. Ah, yes those ZANY Patriots.

The boys in Les Buttes Des Mortes, Appleton and DuPere need another round of shots for the second half.

Foxboro don't need no stinkin Vince Lombardi.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Fuck that. They're just about to get destroyed in the second half. I want them to get their asses handed to them, then have us annihilate the fucking queens, THEN go into Lamebo and just snuff out any last little hopes those tools have of dampening our party plans.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    Dominque Rodgers-Cromarti - CB - Hyphenated pick #1

  • I agree. Sometimes, I will admit, I get on here to bitch about how the Bear's should be doing this and that. I also want to hear the same opinions or close to it.

16 words or less.. kiss my ass.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Very, very, very, very few people's thoughts are that interesting. Jesus and the Dalai Lamai on Twitter, okay ... everyone else, nah. How long before people are actually walking around with LED screens with readouts of their tweets?

Print me up the T-shirt :

    "Twitter? Tweetings for Twats"

  • I'm with Doc. I hate Twitter.

  • Not judging but, I don't "tweet".

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Hell, I BARELY text and still just use a flip phone.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I look forward to listening to the Giants radio crew call that punt return on NFL Audiopass.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

YES! That Rashad Mendenhall TD helps my fantasy cause.

  • Noted.

  • Goodness gracious! - (Collinsworth) - Rex Grossman's daddy is so happy now and won't have to complain to the Trib Sports section about how terrific his quarterback son. Yikes! Sigh! - !!!!! I have been possessed by Elaine Benes. Will Rex's daddy send I told you so to Angelo.

  • Hope they keep kickin' to Hester as well.

  • Considering the STARNGE things happing today, it's probably just as well the Bears are playing Monday night.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Er.. STRANGE thing.

  • Dude check the score. MB fucking dismantled me.. lol Im out dude GL. I hope you beat MB and FQD

  • I am, for the first time in my life, rooting for the Raiders. Tebow is a bummer.

Still wondering how you guys were rooting for the Eagles today. Just cannot understand it - in real football - not fantasy.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Do you really think we can block the Giant's time? WE know we can block the eagles front line.

    That's my theory anyways...

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

You guys know more of the ins and outs than me, but I see the FREAKING Eagles as more of a threat than the Giants. Sure they beat us early in the season, but they are the weaker team. Clearly.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Way stronger line than the Eagles, and our O-line sucks. Cutler got whacked 17 times. Seven-teen.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Thanks you Vick, Rice, Witten, and Blount.. you are helping me dominate in FF against MikeBrownhad aPosse .

  • In reply to sjvl:

What's not to understand. Philly in our place or a team that totally destroyed us on the road. I know you hate Philly but it's not a difficult concept to grasp.

Gotta agree with ya about Tebow.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

But we do better on the road....

Yes, I make no bones about my absolute hatred for the Eagles, but I do still think the Giants are the lesser evil. Time will tell, I guess.

I will never root for Tebow. Just can't. In an odd way, I feel bad for Orton..

  • In reply to sjvl:

He always has had competition against Flordia

  • In reply to sjvl:

Thought - How is it possible for Dodge (NYG) to punt - line drive yet - to Jackson (Eagles) unless Dodge has bet on Eagles? Coughlin should have said clean out yr locker son.

There is a coach on the sidelines in todays NFL for practically every player - did not one say to Dodge don't line drive and don't kick to Jackson?? What a joke. One can assume that this guy has been kicking a football since he was what? three - four years old. He's a professional.

  • In reply to kenbill:

If you watch the replay, Dodge made a definite 45 degree turn to his right and then shanked it off the inside of his foot so it ended up going straight downfield.

  • In reply to kenbill:

What that SHOULD have said was

Sanchez PANTSED the Steelers, etc., etc.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Angel In My Helmet - The Tim Tebow Story - co-starring Kyle Orton - What a blockbuster book, movie. Well, the film will probably go straight to DVD.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Or 'Angel on my helmet' starring Tim T-bone and Kyle Oral. Available under the counter.

  • In reply to kenbill:

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!?!

  • In reply to sjvl:

Falcons / Seahawks - The Battle for Medium on your NFL dial.

Peyton Manning is also one of the undead.

He's most dangerous when he's grumbling, mumbling and looking like he's losing - the John McEnroe of quarterbacks.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Watching "John Elway's greatest comebacks" last night made me realise :

    a. How incomplete Peyton Manning is as a QB, or Tom Brady for that matter.
    b. How Cutler is not really as mobile as we'd like to think he is.
    c. Mark Jackson was a hell of a receiver.

  • In reply to sjvl:

MONDAY NIGHT SNOW DOWN - NFL

  • In reply to sjvl:

    BEARS WIN SNOW DOWN!!!

  • In reply to sjvl:

It's all about match ups. We match up well against Philly. We don't match up well against the G-Men. They have an awesome DL. We have a horrible OL. That's a bad, bad thing.

I don't dislike Tebow. I hate the way the media makes him out to be some hero because he's a devout christian (not to mention a virgin). I don't place that much importance on imaginary friends.

I've always liked Orton, other than when he was drinking his face off and getting his picture on the internet every week.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Rooting FOR the Gangstas from Oakland?!

    You soo disappoint me, woman!

No! Never! Down with "Darth" Davis and his minions.

Let'em STAY under .500 where they belong.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

  • In reply to sjvl:

Not sure what that was, but oh Albert PLEASE! Tim Tebow? gawd's gift to football? Just cannot do it.

  • In reply to sjvl:

1 game does not a QB career make.

Down with the "Evil Empire" that is the Raider Nation.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Hmmm, Albert. That's what I said about vick...

  • In reply to sjvl:

Jets are pulling out the trickeration. today.

Just used the fake "High Shotgun Snap" ploy.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Ok Al - but a shank off the foot is not a professional kick under pressure. That kick has to be made or "clean out your locker son".
This late in the season is like the quarters, semis in tennis - you do not get to make one mistake in the final set. Ok?

Nobody's perfect, but Dodge has to make that punt. The odds are with him aren't they?

You know, I never got into the pick - fantasy thing on this blog. How does one do all this? - in case I'm alive next year
    Best,
    Jack

  • In reply to kenbill:

Oh, I'm not trying to excuse it by any means, Jack. He knew what he was SUPPOSED to do and couldn't do it. It was definitely still a giant choke job.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

And I DID post earlier that Mr. Dodge better know the way to the unemployemnt office.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Steelers nailed for a safety. The jets will really have to WORK to piss this game away now.

  • In reply to kenbill:

What you do is Jack ... pick the teams you think will cover the spread ... and then make the reverse picks instead. At least that's what I'll do next season. I forgot to reverse them this year.

  • In reply to kenbill:

are you motherfucking kidding me? With Matt motherfucking flynn????????

  • In reply to MB30SD:

He was pretty good at LSU. Im not suprised. Short passes all day. Who cares. Let them win. I want the challenge. If we are not good enough to win out and win the division by beating them. Then we dont deserve to be in the playoffs.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

We are going to have a really tough time with this team with rodgers back man. But I hear you... just really don't want it to come to that.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Green Bay is going all in on this drive. Go NE!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

When did Green Bay get a running game. It is amazing how the Packers do a heck of a job picking and coaching QB's.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA... the perfect ending to the fudge packers season. FUCK YOU Aaron rodgers. Bitches.

    That was pathetic.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    WoooHooo!!! YESSSS!!!! We Won

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

I'd bet the farm Matt Flynn's headset went dead in the last minute of the game. Bellicheat strikes again.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

The worst part of that comment is that it is *so* believable.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    WoooHooo!!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

What a great day of football, with a beautiful ending. The Pack has lost 6 games by a total of 20 points. I love it.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

wow, that was bad. Have to give it to flynn. Damn good job under that much preassure.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Well, jeffy, I won't have to ride your ass after all, the divison is ours for the taking.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU TURDTURNER'S hhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeee Fudgepackers!!!!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Everyone who dreams of being a quarterback in the big game needs to watch those last 54 seconds. Flynn will never make that mistake again, the Packers are solid at QB which means we're looking at trouble from them for years.

And that D tested the Patriots pretty good... glad we won't be seeing them in the playoffs.

  • In reply to mottystone:

Great point. Flynn looks like an NFL QB for 59 minutes and then it's tick-tock-4th-down-can't-spike-the-ball-FUCK!-what's-the-play-WHAT'S-THE-PLAY?! Game over. Tee hee.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

This is great. I got these comments from a post on a Fudger Blog after their beloved Cheeser's blew another close game. Classic.

You blow that 3rd timeout...you have to have at least one or two plays called that you will go to then.

MM is clueless. Flynn showed the inexperience.

And we'll be watching the mother freakin Bears win the division.

Close doesn't count MM. Make that 6 losses by a combined 20 points.

If you can't win the close ones, you can't win the big ones.

I've defended MM, but I cannot stand watching this team down the stretch with their heads consistently up their butts.

That's right boys, even they know who will win the North this year.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Flynn played a great first 59 minutes. Damn that was a close game. You have to hand it to the Packers and what they do with their roster. Imagine the Bears with 13 players on IR - would we be within shouting distance of a playoff berth ? I actually think we'd have a shot at the Pats now if we could get them in a domed Dallas. Small matter of the NFC to deal with first, but not as much a forlorn hope as how we felt after that nightmare in the snow.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    nice

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Welcome back Trac.

Irish, I was going to say this earlier but had to leave. I don't even know how the fuck you did this? Is there a double latcg going on, or does the Burmese house maid double as a milk maid. How the fuck does twin breast feeding work man? I can't even comprehend.

Yeah, I know the feeling... watching that little bastard get all the boobies is tough on daddy.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Preciate that MB. Am still working on my anger management. Watching the Pack lose 2 weeks in a row seems to be very therapeutic.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

take some xanax. It will take the edge off

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

If the Giants lost in the last 14 seconds and GB would have won tonight i would have conceded the playoff spot on principal alone. That would have been FATE. Half kidding, we're taking the spot and everybody knows that ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs. A Hester return, a Pep sack fumble for a TD, Forte 90 yard run, surprise playoff victory, etc. Bring it.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Yup, fate has been smiling on us all season. When is Briggsy back?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

what's wrong with Briggsy? Dear God! Don't play with my emotions!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Couple comments:

    1. The Pats took this game off mentally. Esp. the interior OL. They weren't prepared or didn't watch film and didn't pay attention. That happens to teams after some key games whereby they destroy. They get a little fat dumb and happy. I SO wish that Lineman scored on the kickoff, he was so close, I yelled "do the Sweetness!" because had he high stepped, it would have been A: incredibly classic and B: kept him from getting tackled.

    2. Few besides Al remember a game in the Meadowlands in 78:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML1Ixd3jiGU

Courtesy of one Larry Csonka, at the end of his career.

Vick gave them a new Miracle, and perhaps just busted out the Giants season. I don't know that the team can recover from that.

    3. Today is Ginny's hour, but she's too fucking senile to rise to it. She could call a press conference today, and given the Vikings kicker comments from yesterday, in which is called the field 'concrete' and predicted the game will be a train wreck, she should announce that the Bears hereby forfeit the game. because in her years as owner, she cannot abide by putting her people in what is clearly an opportunity to get seriously injured.

the NFL is a fucking joke if it puts this game on tonight. The concern for concussions is now offically a joke. The NFL may as well issue an edict that we are going back to leather helmets just for tonight, for as much as this makes sense.

Please Bears: Forfeit. PLay the Packers straight up for the NFC North in their home field, but do so with a full healthy squad. Somebody is gonna get killed out there tonight, I played on a frozen iced field once and broke fingers in my hand and I got off easy. Do NOT do it. Ginny, you old goat, stand up. Because if you get up there and do the concerned grandmother bit - the whole NFL will stop. Goodell will be humiliated, as he should be.

I know it won't happen. A great owner would do it. I could see Art Modell doing something like that. But the McCaskeys putting the well being of their player's first? Ha.

I hope this is less the sick joke than I fear it will be.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I was away in the woods most of the weekend, and was not on the internet - my pissed-off-edness about this game subsided. It's back.

You make great points GP. If Ginny went out there, they just might listen. I was saying the leather helmet thing to my husband this morning. I am very worried about the game tonight (injuries).

  • In reply to gpldan:

a forfeit? Really GPL? We have a golden opportunity to golden shower the entire NFC north this evening and you want to forfeit? I am hereby taking your man card away from you.

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

Agreed, Mustache. I like the Ginny plea thing, but no, not a forfeit. Now, if both teams refused to play..... kind of a lead up to next season.......

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

Can I help anyone in the titty milk department? Just make egg nogg out of it.

Did you guys see that chode blaster of a giants kicker punt right to #10. Jackson is about to paid in the off-season.

I'd rather get a shot at the Giants again than play the Eagles in the playoffs. We played out of our heads versus Philly earlier this year and they have too many home run hitters. Hard to beat a good team twice no matter what the matchups are. The Giants front four doesn't scare me, but their secondary is great is stunting, blitzing, and tackeling near the line of scrimmage. Our o-line has improved since the Meadowlands shart party. I want revenge. I'll take our fast D versus their slow QB and recievers.

Costas interviews Goodell last night and continues to hear the same about procedure regarding brain injuries and how careful the league is conducting itself. But, no Q+A on a frazen field that will likely cause multiple brain injuries tonight. Feild turf plus frozen equals BAMMMM!

  • In reply to Crowned:

What about the Giants 9 first half sacks against us doesn't scare you? Their front four gives me a fear boner just thinking about it. It's soo veiny

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

It's quite one thing to accept that Mike Webster, longtime center for the Steelers, has a brain made of applesauce for his years of faithful service to the team.

It's kind of another to condone bloodsport, and consign players to play in a parking lot in the freezing cold, because of inept management of their own stadium and their hubris in not wanting the game to be outside Minnesota. Because then their might be more Bears fans than they wanted.

The MOTHERFUCKING MINNESOTA VIKINGS are going to use tonight as a spectacle to celebrate 50 years, or some such PABLUM. They are going to march Alan Page and Fran Tarkenton out there (Fran never to miss an opportunity to self-promote, maybe he can try selling us some life insurance during his speech) and they are going to say, look - we are such a great organization, soak up the luuuuuuuuve.

And then they are going to FUCK the people of Minnestota IN THE ASS, WITHOUT A CONDOM and WITHOUT LUBE. And the city of Los Angeles will steal it's second team from Minnestota, both wearing purple and yellow.

IT IS SO DISGUSTING, so FUCKING SICKENING, it makes me want to VOMIT on Zygi, to fill a bucket of excrement the size of the Big Boy statue and dump it on the Vikings management press box tonight.

And if Chucky does what he did on ESPN website, which is to give us a little speech about how this is NFC North football, and these teams hate each other, and the parking lot would be JUST FINE FOR THEM, then let me at the little ugly munchkin, because I want to FIGHT HIM.

Ditka, if anyone would stand up and call out the NFL on its bullshit tonight, he'd be the ONLY ONE WITH THE MOTHERFUCKING BALLS to do it. And he's your icon. Take his man card away from him, I double dog dare ya as they say in Christmas Story.

I'd like to take a Red Ryder BB GUN, strip the Wilf family naked and tie them to a post in the freezing cold, and light them up with welts from the thing.

Such assholeism in the name of sport. Truly we have become the Roman Empire.

  • In reply to gpldan:

GPL,Mike Webster is dead. Even though he died of a heart attack, he was messed up form all the hits to the head .

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    Change "has" to "had"

  • In reply to gpldan:

Punter from the Vikings tweeted that the playing surface is no where near playable.

  • In reply to Dmband:

And then tweeted that Vikings management called him and told him to shut his pie hole.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Ah. No, friend, it isn't happening. The better half has a thyroid condition and the medication doesn't allow for breastfeeding. My sister is breastfeeding her son at the moment and it sounds horrendous - basically on tap for 24 hours a day. Apparently she's finding 'dream-feeding' idea quite helpful - an idea from the Australian 'baby-whisperer'-I'll get the name for author and book and post it, can't remember.

I have a different problem. Purely financial. Lots of expensive milk powder. Babies feed (x2). Babies puke (x2). Repeat. Daddy looks up from NFL Head Coach on the Laptop, shakes his head, tsk tsk, "they're so cute!". Retires to bed to let the women deal with it all. I know. Sorry, MB. I couldn't go on letting you think I was living some kind of nightmare. I lasted a month or so before we found our life-saving refugee.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

It was originally scheduled there and J do not believe NBC can "flex" anymore games now.

I am hoping the Packers game is flexed to later in the day.

  • In reply to sjvl:

It's "IF" time in the NFL. If this team beats that team and that team beats this team then their playoff chances are very good or a possible division championship and on, and on.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

The Patriots have to be the best blocking team in the NFL. They did it against the Bears and that was the big difference on the first touchdown drive in this game. I can remember several plays during the Bears game when they would have guys out in front steamrolling the corners and linebackers. Even the receivers block well. Something as simple as blocking comes down to coaching, why is it so poor on many teams? The Bears have games where they block decent but for the most part it is pretty weak.

    Clay Matthews is frightening.

  • In reply to sjvl:

His hair is certainly very frightening. I've only seen Matt Flynn play once before, possibly pre-season. Kid's good and getting better. Their third string was pretty good too as I recall. Thank God we have the legendary Todd Collins to call on if/when Cutler goes down.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Jeff called me out on one of the threads for just saying that patriots might not play in this one because they already have their divison won. Jeff, you better hope that the patriots come back because I'm gonna be on your ass more than Superman is on Louis Lane.

Very balsy but smart move by the Packers. Why does this feel like one of those games where the Pats are going to lay an egg like the Browns game?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Ok - Andrea Kremer's hair is better than Clay Matthew's hair. I'm sure she uses Pantene and Clay uses Fructus.

Please consider me as "Get Back" coach for the Bears. I know I can get up and down the sideline yelling "Get Back!" - "Get Back!". A perfect come back job after my retirement.
