Vikings at Bears Game Preview

With the season at the crossroads, the division within their grasp and the worst football player/human being in American history entering their home, Sunday is a big football game for the Chicago Bears.

YOUR POSSIBLY RESURGENT 2010 CHICAGO BEARS
OVER
Brett Favre and some other guys
Why do I like the Chicago Bears this week?
  • I always like the Chicago Bears.
  • Jay Cutler looked poised in the pocket against the Buffalo Bills, who are nowhere near as good up front as the Minnesota Vikings.  I think Cutler is beginning to understand that he can move the chains consistently by dumping the ball to backs, hitting his hot routes and using his legs when the protection breaks down.  Frank Omiyale will not block Jared Allen and Cutler will know that coming in.  (Or at least he should)
  • Brett Favre throws 3-5 passes a game that not only could but should be returned to the house for six points.  The Bears - especially Jennings and Moore - have shown a knack for finding the football.  I think they'll find it Sunday.
  • The last three games in this rivalry at Soldier Field:  34-31 Vikings, 48-41 Bears and 36-30 Bears.  Keep your opponent under 30 and you win.  I think the Bears do it.
  • The way to beat the Bears defense consistently is the way Favre used to in Green Bay.  Quick slants force the corners up and then you take shots under the safeties and to tight ends in the seam.  The tight end scares the hell out of me but I don't fear a hobbling Rice, achy-headed Harvin and Bernard "I stink" Berrian - especially Berrian.
  • Playoff atmosphere at Soldier Field.  Write it down.
  • Julius Peppers has been saving his finest performance for this one.
  • Robbie Gould won't miss another big one this year under 50 yards.
  • The Bears re-realized how useful Greg Olsen and Chester Taylor are to this offense on Sunday and I think you'll see increased impact for both of them this week.  Then again, the pattern has gone the opposite way.
  • This is the game Devin Hester wins late because Brad Childress is no good and he'll kick to him.
Chicago Bears 27, Minnesota Vikings 26

  • FIRST...place in the division after Sunday!

  • SECOND time we beat these clowns in as many meetings.

  • Third point I agree with but Cutler also throw 3-5 passes per game that could be picked.

  • Lets pray our o-line shows up for this game, because if you can't get amped up for a division rivalry game theres no hope for these guys.

  • Hmmmm, who doesn't mean shit to our squad?

Josh Bollocks! Its your time to shine! You have been chosen to be imortalized in a highlight real that will be played for eternity. The end of an ego...I mean era! Send him on a blitz in the first series. Stop for no man, no wistle...take the flag, the fine and the ejection. Put that dinosaur on a stretcher. Put 'em in a body baaaaag!

I wanna see TJ in the 1st Quarter. I'd also be happy just seeing Brett throw the game away on a late INT. But that woud be harder on the ole ticker.

    mmmBearsss

  • In reply to MatthewIsMyForte:

If only we could'vd picke up Merrimen to do what u want Bullocks to do, then, after he gets ejected, we say "Nice Job. Here's ur check, now get the hell out."

  • In reply to MatthewIsMyForte:

Once again the weather is more than beautiful.
Take a walk and enjoy the freedom - thanks to the all the vets - some of whom that cannot enjoy a day like today.

When it's Chicago (Bear weather) cold November on Sunday let's take it out on the Vikings.

  • Just caught up on the last string a bit. Murph, so sorry to hear about your mom my man. My deepest apologies. Hang in there.

    Damn Doc

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Lol I kinda knew he wouldn't be able to help simply because Calculus is not something you can just talk about over the internet. Just wanted to hear him say something like, study lol

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Nice catch MB.

Truly sorry to hear that Murph. Ta br

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Can one of you guys record this and post on youtube or somewhere accessible: "Glory Days" will be broadcast as a one-hour special on NBC5 Chicago on 12/4, 12/19, and 1/8. There will also be a thirty minute behind-the-scenes show broadcast on 12/12, 12/18, and 12/25."

    Pleeeeaaase.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I'll give you the crib notes MB. I went to the Glory days event, partied with the monsters (and Big Cat Williams) and woke up with a couple new tats. I wondered whether I had been drunkenly shamed, but then realized I had a piece of '85 forever engrained into my body.

  • In reply to Crowned:

That's not that bad Crown. You can barely see them. You might want to work on your skinny-fat though.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Seriously though, that's heart and dedication right there. Bears through and through.

  • In reply to Crowned:

yes... in a scary, serial killer stalker kind of way.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    no doubt

  • In reply to MB30SD:

It'd be cool if they hadda done "Kick me - I'm a tool" ... "Packers Forever!" and shit like that ....

  • In reply to MB30SD:

See McMahon's jacket? Only Mac could get away with a jacket like that ...

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Just came here to say Corey Graham is a BEAST. The guy is going to the pro-bowl for sure. Haven't seen as much Iwuh on specials as I thought, but Graham has taken over and is on pace to crush Shaw's numbers from last year.

Oh, and ChildUndress is already is raging the fear boner:

  • In reply to Crowned:

Where do you get that stuff?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    The caption is missing :

Childress spotting an unaccompanied minor in 47G ....

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Before I even read this thread, you crazy bastards that are still commenting on the thread from FOUR threads ago, seriously, we may need help.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Oops, I counted wrong, see we aren't addicted. We can stop any time we want.

Please win Bears. I still know people from MN, don't put me through having to hear their pompous, bloated BS all week.

    Bear Down!!

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I live on the Minnesota border, so this is a huge game. A couple of my employees are Vikings fans, so I don't need to hear it Monday morning. It's time for the Bears to go 3-0 in the division. Viking fans are the worst.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

Oh, and fire the vikings fans Corm.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

The problem is my best crew is Vikings fans. I did get the pleasure of watching the Championship Game with them last year.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Yah.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Martz vs Frasier

    Marinelli vs Chilli

All cylinders firing. We win. 34 - 17.

    Tempo. Tempo. Tempo.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Didn't Peppers light him up as a Panther last year? What happens when that animal of a man hit something that old and broken?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Unhook your wife from the plow man. Let her graze a little.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

You only want me to set her loose so you can finally get a woman that's not related.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

I just assumed she was related to you. Isn't that the only way they will legally marry you there? We are gathered here today to join this cow and this hillbilly in holy shit is she huge, and hairy.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I know this all get's a little confusing when your family tree like like a buggy whip, but Wisconsin is to your North,(have someone help you with this), and there are no hillbillies up here. They pretty much flock to your state and blend right in. And I have seen prettier cows here than those one eyebrowed, unshaven, stanky skanks you guys marry.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Wow. That was your comeback? No wonder your not wanted on your own team's blogs. Do you guys even have one?

Hmmm, let's see. Hillbilly is a term referring to people who dwell in rural, mountainous areas of the United States. It is not restricted to geography. What is a "like like buggy whip"? There should be a space after the comma for North. The and after the comma is redundant, like ignorant Packer troll. Starting a sentence with and huh? That edumacation just keeps paying dividends impressing people at the cow shit shoveling contests doesn't it? Let her graze. It's the right thing to do. Let her graze.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Thanks for the critical review pecker breath. Maybe I should have gone to class more instead of playing stink finger with your mom.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

And the irony of you noticing that Z .... :o)

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I try to remember the number of comments on the threads so I notice if they change. I know I am an addict. There is no hope for me. I'm cool with it.

  • anything to do with calculus. Do they let you use an abacus during the tests?

  • That was really nice of you Doc. Fucking frightening, but nice.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    agreed on both points

  • Thank you to all the Veterans. I can't imagine what so many of you have gone through to keep us all safe.

  • Irish, here

  • In reply to MB30SD:

are you some sort of double secret agent MB?

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

    Yes.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

It's ok to put it out there. Bond is always shouting out his real name everywhere. He just straight does not give a fuck. I am liking the grittier new ones with Daniel Craig where he actually gets messed up pretty regularly. I grew up on Bond too. Dad was a big fan. Clint, the Duke and McQueen too. Oh and Bogie too.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    No. No he's not.

    Shhhh.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

sorry for you lost Murph: MOMENT OF PRAYER...sigh..

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    ATTENTION!!!!!!!

DA BEARS BLOGGERS: SOME TRADE ME A RUNNING BACK! PLEASE>

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

I'll trade you Chris Johnson for Juice Williams straight up.

  • In reply to gpldan:

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I love them three amigos, MB, I see what you did there and I love It.

  • In reply to bnjrmyn:

Btw, MB, how COULD you tell that was a mail-plane?

  • In reply to bnjrmyn:

The little balls Ben, the little balls.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Cheers, my friend.

  • In reply to bnjrmyn:

Happy Veterans Day (especially to one particular, very attractive red-headed USAF Master Sgt Select)!
The rest of us thank you for your service!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    Nice MBP.... what's his name?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    I call her "Ma'am" - she's my baby mama.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    But well-played, sir, well-played.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Sorry MBP. I could not, for the life of me, resist the easy softball down the middle... I can't and won

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Oh, and... not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

No doubt - that was a 70 mph meatball.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Speaking of math, do you think maybe Bears Chick - her picture was giving us the Angles?

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=the+angles

    As for Vets day:

My father served in WW2. I'd love to be able to brag about Iwo Jima or something, but in actuality he served the entire time in New Orleans as a kind of Radar O'Reilley type. His job was to coordinate the ambulance fleet and arrange for vets to go home to their families. Ambulances in the 40s would drive people home, like Wyoming, Nebraska - if they needed it.

New Orleans, many of you may know, is where many of the ships bringing back European AND pacific wounded would dock, although California was used for Pac fleet as well. He worked through tens of thousands of cases, helping guys who were blown up home.

My mother had twin brothers. One of them I went and had dinner with the other day, he's 92 years old. Both him and his brother served in WW2. His twin brother, however, was on one of the navy's ship that witnessed the atoll bikini bomb.

He died in the mid 1980s, ravaged by cancer. As did almost every man who witnessed the explosion who didn't die of other causes.

I think of these stories and plenty of others (I know hundreds of stories, sadly) every Vet day.

Oh, and everyone see Restrepo when it comes to rental on Dec. 7th. Everyone needs to see that flick.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Quite a film, GPL. I went to see it right away when I saw it was at a small indy theatre up here, Tillman Story was another must-see I caught not long ago. Makes you stop and think of how great we have it.

  • In reply to gpldan:

WWII was a righteous war. Everything after that was about either oil, big business or real estate.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Brad Childress has the funniest news conference ever about Favre's groin.

You just can't stop posting about me, can you?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Sorry to hear about your mom from the last thread Murph. Lost my Dad a few years ago suddenly. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Best thing I heard was to try to focus on clebrating their life and all the good times and memories. Hang in there.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Ditto, Murph. DBB loves ya.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    What he said...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Now, onto Bears news...

Mike "I'm 6'7 & 300lbs" Tice challenged our Oline AS MEN, quote: "We're going to find out (Sunday) if we're man enough."

No scheming, or trickery, or excuses. Are you a man enough to block that dude in front of you, or are you a pussy?

IF that doesn't pump-up our Oline, nothing will.

And we're gonna need it to, cuz by all accounts, they're gonna ask Cutler to sling it and go toe to toe with Favre. The last three games have been shoot-outs, in the mid 30s. First to 40 wins!

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

I can almost hear Tice doing his Lee Ermey routine:

"I'm gonna give you three seconds--exactly three fucking seconds--to wipe that stupid lookin' grin off your face, or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull fuck you!"

"You're so ugly you could be a modern art masterpiece."

  • In reply to gpldan:

"I admire your honesty. Hell, I like you, you can come over to my house and fuck my sister."

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

"Were you born a fat, slimy, scumbag puke piece o' shit, Private Pyle, or did you have to work on it?"

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

"Oh that's right, Private Pyle, don't make any fucking effort to get to the top of the fucking obstacle. If God would have wanted you up there he would have miracled your ass up there by now, wouldn't he?"

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

"Bullshit. It looks to me like the best part of you ran down the crack of your mama's ass and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress."

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    Well let's just watch it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wijlLEriWYg&feature=related

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

"You climb obstacles like old people fuck", is pretty good too.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

that whole movie is badass - I can almost quote the whole thing verbatum lol

  • In reply to MB30SD:

And I think we can all agree that everyone that sticks to football and away from personal attacks is weclome here.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Even the one's that think Lovie isn't that bad of a coach.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Give it to me Master Chief !

    Damn IT!!!!!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Offsides. Back it up 5 and replay the joke.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Here Here! Happy Vet Day. About 4 ppl in my fam are or were in the military. The most bad ass served in Vietnam and Korea and got a couple medals. He was so badass, he didn't even collect any money from the VA until like two yrs ago when my cousin who just got out of the military took him to get his due, and he promptly went out and bought a sports car with the cash lol

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    Nice!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

My Uncle John served in the Corps in Vietnam, My Uncle Gus Served in the Army in the Korean War. Both Infantry. I served in the in the Corps also Infantry from 84' to 92'. It doesn't matter when or where or for what branch you served in. Thanks to everyone who did and especially all the kids serving now. The Country owes all of you a great debt and deep gratitude. I don't care what the tree-huggers say. This is still the greatest country on earth. Believe me, I've been to some real shit-wholes around the world. Now if only I can figure out how to send Lovie to one of them....hmmmmm.

BEAR DOWN!!! I Can't wait for Sunday!

    Bears = 21 Vikes = 17

Also, make sure to click on the link of top 10 NFL football names - not suprisingly, the Bears almost have the market cornered lol

Here's a quote from one blogger "Remember Harry Colon from the Lions in the 90's. "A pick off by Harry Colon"

And I'm not sure if this is just legend, but thought it pretty bad ass (from the same stream of bloggers):

    "Bronko Nagursky.
    Tough as his name.
Signed-up to play football when this coach got lost, found Bronko plowing a field (without a horse), asked for directions . . . then Bronko gave them --- by picking up and pointing with the plow."

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Hunter Hillenmeyer. Seriously, that name would have got you beaten up where I come from. That is not a cool name. It could only be worse if it was Hunter Poindexter.

Cap Boso is my favorite Bear name. Sounds like one of Jabba the Hutt's bounty hunters.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Ha +1000 points for the Jabba reference. Cap and Fett...sounds like a comic book in the waiting.

There were a few of those. A Cap, a Sergeant, our Major - Bronko, Harry Colon! (my personal fav) - Incognito, Stonebreaker, Dick Butkus, and perhaps the all time best, Fair Hooker!

More than a few bear name's were nominated: Afalava, Wale, Pisa, Red Grange, Bronko, Ditka, Butkus...

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

And someone made a joke that if Major Wright had an evil twin, he's be named Major Wrong.

We need a Needle Dick chant at Soldier on Sunday. You've seen the picture, you know what I mean...no girth.

Picture this, 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter Bears are up a Tuddy and the Purple fucks are driving on us. Favre Throws a gimmy pick to Peanut, game over. Deafening chant of "Needle Dick, Needle Dick, Needle Dick"

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

Or print out thousands of color copies of his schlong on the slack and hold them up when Favre is on the sideline.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

That will leave Soldier Field covered in vomit.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Think of the children Irish.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    Thanks again Doc.

I will probably keep going back to my teacher or the free tutoring we get on campus but I was just trying to see if there was a quicker way or easier way to do calculus and sadly there isn't.

I like it but then I don't. I think the combination of Engineering economy, matlab, and engineering graphics, all dealing with different numbers and numbers of their own have just made my brain work way to hard.

I do show up to class early and I do study. Just some times a class just kick's your ass and all you can do is take it again or pull out with a C.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Worrying thought Artoo - after subtraction, addition, division, multiplication, fractions and percentages ... calculus is probably next easiest ....

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Are you joking?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Fuck no. I jumped in on the third year of a maths degree because I already qualified in computers. Like I said, come exam time I couldn't understand the questions never mind write down the answers. Classical mechanics, frak me. It would have helped if I'd attended lectures, but then again ...

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

See? We knew you were smart Doc!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Irish, you watching this game: http://atdhe.net/28067/watch-baltimore-ravens-vs-atlanta-falcons-hd

What would you give for Boldin? Jesus... what would I give for Boldin?!?!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Was sneakily listening to it and catching sneak peeks at work. I'll have to watch it tonight, great game. Boldin was a guy we didn't need because we like our receivers. We're developing some hot shit right there. Ditto the hottest receiver in the NFL right now- T.O. - no way that cancer could help us with he studs we've already got. And who the hell needs Randy Moss? Randy Who? We're good.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

If you don't have a coach that can handle 1 prima donna personality that can help you on the field and doesn't get in trouble off of it (Randy lately), then they should not be your coach. It is unfortuantely part of the job requirement.

And if you don't have the veterans that can keep a guy in check in the locker room than you need a new GM.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

So what's the net-net there Z... exactly. Fire both them crooked idiots.

I think I think Manofmoolah will sustain a block this game.
I think I think Cutty will be running for his life on many plays
I think I think that the difference maker will be Chester Taylor playing his fuck-u game.

That was the reason Youtube was invented.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Ya, the Vlade one was good, and the other ones look solid. I guess what they lack in journalism they make up for in documentary making. It's in inverse proportion. I'm sure Doc can show us the equation lol

Is that guy a human, or something out of one of Jack's comic books?

    Sweet confederate flag hat though.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Yea, I saw the Southern Style hat. I don't know MB, but they made him eat his own beard. Enough said. Some people take their riding mowers too seriously. It's like kill or be killed over some Toro.

  • In reply to Crowned:

Scary that all those people are allowed to vote. I'll leave it at that.

  • In reply to Crowned:

By the way. I remember someone recently stated they were a victim of a tractor rollover. I think it was Corm or SdSwat. I just wanted to make sure they were ok. A roll-bar has been available to manufacturers for all types of ag equipment since the 1950's or 60s. Let me know if you are still suffering or have been seriously injured. I might be able to help.

I am happy to see the continued development of Johnny Knox, Earl Bennett and Devin Hester as receivers. However, I am still a bit perplexed about what happened to the rising star of Devin Aromashodu. Why has he disappeared from the offense?

Devin Aromashodu has been getting more game reps the past few weeks than earlier in the season, spelling both Devin Hester and Johnny Knox. In terms of why he

Isn't as complete of a receiver ? Are you fkn kidding me? Like Hester and Knox are prototypical crisp-route-running, savvy professionals? Oh Jebus, pass the bucket. Dropped a couple of passes? Who hasn't? Go check out the biggest droppers of passes and check out the studs that inhabit those lists. What a bullshit reason. He had ONE quiet game, then had a 5-catch team-leading game and got DROPPED. Why? He missed a block

Either 17-14 Bears or ... the unthinkable ....

Unbelievably, NFL.com reports we will be tied for first at the top of the table with a victory over the Vikings. An impossibility as we've already beaten the Packers.

DaCoach's Mustache used the phrase "parallel universe" here. Comic booka and the NFL are ubiquitous.
What's that like - Thursday Night Football?
    Falklands - 10 - Ravens -0 --- Shouldn't the Ravens be winning by let's say 17 or so?

  • In reply to kenbill:

Matt Ryan is now 18-1 in home games. Unreal. NFC's best?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    What?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I know. If they get home field advantage in the playoffs, they're in the Super Bowl. That's why losing to the Skins and Hags is suck a kick in the nards.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Falklands 26 / Poe's Raven(s) 21 -
Following stats from Gamecast - (My grandson is sleeping and I have orders that the goddam football game cannot be on / no noise - and screaming at NFL Network in HD) -
Falcons 302 yds. pass - 60 yds. rush
    Ravens 116 yds. rush - 183 pass
So much for balanced attack notions in this game.

Raven's kicker - Cundiff is a funny name.

  • some of those characters you're using (I think they're Greek, or Chinese) are being seen as HTML doc. The blog only allows very limited HTML code... and certainly not maths disguised and parading as html code.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    And MB also ....

It's a better idea to read the blog bottom-up methinks ... I'll get my coat.

  • Take that shit to the math blog! Strictly football and handjobs on this site!

    There's a moth blog?

SWEET!!! Where do I sign up Coach?

  • +1

  • Hear, hear - I hates the maths and I get along fine with Doc.

  • I think you just inspired mt to go back to get my Grad degree in Finance you bastard, that going to cost me like 60,000.00

Try the advanced Eng. Lit. course at Harvard - 120,000.00. I believe Prof. Fo-schnizzle's take on Yeats is sublime, and the scones in the quadrangle cafe are simply to die for.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

If have one of those old nightmares about showing up "late for the final", Doc, I am blaming YOU!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I have a recurring nightmare that I missed an entire semester of math class...
    Wait, I basically did.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Man !! You guys too !! I have this recurring nightmare where I'm coming in to sit my finals and I've been absent all year. It sucks!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

And for me, it's always math class. I never have nightmares about my history, poli-sci, art classes...it's always the damn maths.

  • I should have used the quotes...

  • The scariest part is that I almost understand!

  • I think my #'s are pretty close to Doc's but I fade in and out on posting and I might be a year off. The offseason of the NFC Championship season I thought? And I won't let myself post until I get completely caught up reading. It doesn't take long to fall behind. And yes I know that is OCD.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

    Multiple.
    Concussions.

  • Exactly Doc. They came around last year, but nothing as annoying and tenacious as the packer fucktards that were here a couple months ago... I've never seen anything like that shit. That was disgusting.

  • in all seriousness, I'm so fucking glad that I had one math class all through college and it was pass/no pass. Barely made that.

  • Awesome, Doc.

Maths is a different animal. I tried to get a degree in Maths after I qualified in Computer Science - by doing what I had done previously. Skip class, have a ball, study for the exams the week before. It didn't work. Stats was easy, but come exam time in Discrete Maths and Classical Mechanics, I couldn't even understand the questions never mind write down the answers. I think they gave me marks for creativity.

Need to make the library your friend Artoo, something I could never do. The jukebox called to me from the bar, or poker and doobies in the canteen - and I don't regret a thing :o) Can't get those years back ... tomorrow is not promised ... I forgot about Sweetness in college and applied the John Riggins principles. You gain more experience and make more friends that way - it's an interesting dilemma.

    Go Bears!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I was told there would be no math!

  • Oh, and I'll take the Ravens tonight pls. Besides being named after Mr. Poe (a bad ass in his own time and right), we don't need to be batteling the birds for a wildcard spot... we know how that turned out last time.

  • The good Doctor means :

Since f'(c)=0 and f''(c) is less than zero

... but the 'less than' sign doesn't appear because it gets interpreted as HTML due to the wonderful blog software in operation on DBB.

  • Can you imagine if he gets suspended before the game: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101111/ap_on_sp_fo_ne/fbn_favre_investigation

  • Harvin didn't practice again, Favre has ankle, foot and calf problems and other banged up Vikings.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Pussies!

  • Which I see Doc has just explained here. Fuck.

How about them Bears, eh ?

  • I have a feeling that Jeff has lost interest. He never seems to update us on who has wins or who won the weekend picks.

  • Doc...that's why they a mute button on the remote..

the only thing that would make my evening better is if LT rushed in the booth and hit JT and watched his leg buckle like a twig again..that would shut his ass up!

  • Didn't Trac get judged for his beliefs ? Trac never has a go at no-believers, but his religion gets attacked all the time. There's a lot of hate towards Muslims and Christians on this blog. But Israel commits a slow genocide on the Palestinians and it's condoned on DBB because it's USA-backed.

The Orwellian bent on DBB reveals itself during the off-season:

"All pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

You have got to be kidding, Irish - Trac has frequently brought up religion and politics to stir shit up. I'm fine with him when we talk football, but let's not get revisionist about it; he dishes his opinions in more than equal measure.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

That loss by Baltimore seemed oddly familiar. Same script, different players.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Have to completely agree with MBHP and Doc here. I have read every commment and the evidence speaks for itself.

  • Joe Theismann's eyebrows.
I'm naming a team that next year. McMahon said in his autobiography "McMahon!" (I love the exclamation mark) that Joe was the kind of guy who would go to a movie theater, get hold of a mike and say 'Ladies and genetlemen, Quarterback Joe Theismann is sitting in row j seat 7, thank you."

  • Muliple. Concussions. See? I wasn't making it up. I can't remember him bringing up religion ... honestly. If it happened five minutes ago I need a reminder. Sorry.

  • Something about the Falcons-Ravens game not being part of the weekend's picks ...

If it is, then I'm taking the Falcons -3.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Me too.

  • Thank Jebus someone else has been watching and listening, and I'm not the only one sounding like a broken record on the JH pick. Been asking for him for a year and a half now for fucks sake.

If we don't get Cowher (and many of you think there's a snowball's chance in hell of that), we NEED to lure Harbaugh back to his Alma mater. Get him before someone else like the vikes do and we're painfully sorry for the next 5 years...

...oh yeah, and we should probably fire JA and lovie first. If we lose this next game, I let's do that.

  • I really like that one; the Reggie Miller one was pretty funny, and the USFL one was good. They've all been quality flicks.

  • Dude ran a 4.4 forty as a freshman, in highschool.

Thanks once again to the Trib Sports Section for wishy-washy-messy laundromat.

  • The Vlade/Drazen doc was solid. Saw the Raiders/NWA one too which was decent. I liked it because somehow Straight Out of Compton was the first tape I ever owned. Played that during a family car trip when I was like 10 or 11 and my Mom threw that tape out the window withing a matter of seconds. I'm still waiting to see the Jordan one focusing on the "hiatus" year where he played minor league baseball.

  • In reply to Crowned:

Was that your 1st time listening to it or were you just a bad ass kid and assumed you could pull that off?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I heard it on The Box Z. You remember that channel you could pay to watch a music videos (mostly hip hop and gangsta)? I remember seeing Straight Out Of Compton and thinking what energy and power. I also vividely remember Ghetto Boys "My Mind is playing tricks on me video." My parents were pretty relaxed, but when my Mom heard A Bitch is a Bitch, she threw that shit out the window.

  • In reply to Crowned:

Ghetto Boys had some freaky videos to go along with those crazy ass lyrics. Vividly remember is right.

Can you Turd munchers POSSIBLY win this one while I'm out choosin which thirty point buck to take for the hunt here in the Superior State? Which by the way, I'm sure 99% of you cow shooters will be heading north to partake in. Anything to escape those mustachioed, foul smelling emasculating women of yours and their daddies that you work for, I suppose. Do us a favor, leave your guns at home. Anyways, you're at home and will need all the help you can get against the Queens because you suck that much, but do it anyway.

hey Inbreed...That thirty point buck is that to go out and shoot your own fat ass bitch?

Judging from your command of the English language, you must have been home schooled in between tricks. Go back and swat dust specks in the sunlight.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Hey frozendouche, remember when the Bears beat the Pack? Thats right. I think your sisters calling you back to bed, or is it your mom? It is human and atleast part female, right? Hard to tell with the whiskers and broad shoulders. Good luck helping her out of bed for dinner sice the hoyer lift is broken from her fat ass. Maybe you can just feed her some kraft mac and cheese in bed, you can add mayo to help it go down easier. Go back to your own forum with the rest of the fat little schlitz-swilling cheese lovers who all talk like their mouths are full of marbles. We'll see you in week 17, tool.

  • In reply to bnjrmyn:

Norcal Faggot, I do remember the Packers beating he Packers, were the Bores even there? Btw, that was your mom and sister in the bed, and I paid them and sent them back to their corners. Seeing as how you never addressed the Queens thing, I'll take that as " fuck no, we can't beat them". You can go back to tossin' your cellmates salad now.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

We'll take care of your team's hero for you. Oh that's right, the guy you idolized for all those years plays for your sworn enemy. How does it feel?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

It feels fucking GREAT! Ask a Queens fan how it felt to have him give a big game away last year. Then suck him off to come back again this year. Much as I hate Bears fans at least you ain't that stupid. Let the perv go out in purple. I'd be happy if they never mentioned the retarded fuck here again.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Sounds and smells like the exterminator from Les Buttes Des Mortes has been spraying daily at the Packer Hall of "Shame once again?"
