  • We need to score 1st tonight!!

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    I 2nd that sentiment.

Martz doesn't need any excuses to ditch the run, he seems capable of that with no prompting. We need to get a lead and force them to play from behind.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    boys & gilrs!!!!

YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS

    IT'S TIME TO

    BEAR THE FU#@!$#$!@K DOWN!

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Hey MBP..you were asking about steaming the game? this is for all the link is also this:

    http://www.nfl.com/live/2010/landing?module=HP_cp2

problem is that it's going to be the douches from NFL network ..and if you want to listen to the homie's JJ & TT on WBBM link is:

    http://player.radio.com/player/RadioPlayer.php?version=1.2.10308&station=93

problem is as GP & I discussed it isn't buffered so it's about 25-30 seconds delay...it's weird but would rather listen to them than douchebag thipussy.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

The douches all picked the Bears I think. Theismann's eyebrows, Jebus ...

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Miami has beaten the queens and the cheese......lets be the first from the north

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

7 takeaways for the bearss tonight. 4 picks 3 fumbles...

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

3 to the house? plus 1 for Devin?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

and i'm going to drink every beer in the world.

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

If I didn't have a big day tomorrow, starting at 8am, I'd be pounding them back tonight.
    2 hours and counting.

  • BEARSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

(In Mel Gibson Braveheart voice not in Mel Gibson racist psycho voice)

  • THIRD game in a row Olsen has an opty to prove to all of us that he's a good WR, not a shitty TE.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Congratulations, mang!!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    Thanks MBP

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Hey Jack, came across this and thought I'd shoot it up here for you: http://blog.movies.yahoo.com/blog/153-green-lantern-breaks-away-from-earthbound-superhero-movies

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I'll be goin to see that one.Like Renolds a lot.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Yeah, one of my favorite movies of all time was the original Van Wilder.

This is one of the best movie scenes ever conceived: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8dmSsObmkM

btw, wasn't he voted one of the sexiest men or some shit Madd... you gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Damn, can't wait. Can't the game start already! Still worried about Cutler's night time stats:

    Night Day
    Comp-Att 325-537 923-1484
    Comp pct 60.5 62.2
    Yards 3,865 10,733
    TD-Int 24-25 69-47
    Passer rtg 78.0 86.4
    W-L 5-11 25-21

But hopefully, Cutler will finally break that trend. If the Fins kick it to Hester, it's over!

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

I was thinking that, but didn't want to curse the game by saying anything. But as Sgt. Fiday would say: Just the facts, Ma'am...just the facts.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Bears gotta make sure they're prepared for a lot of play action, bootlegs, and a few trick plays that I think the Fins are gonna implement in order to slow down our pass rush or 8 men in the box.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Wow, the difference between Cutler's nighttime stats and daytime stats is night and day.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Congrats MB!!!

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    Thanks viva.

    http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=animal%20house%20niedermeyer&search=Search&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&spell=1

    niedermeyer?

  • In reply to nicholsra:

what I meant to say is that Don Banks looks like Niedermeyer's twin, another punk-ass bitch.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Got a handle of Jim Beand and the boys are all coming over .. shot per TD so lets hope I'm SMASHED by the 3rd QTR. BEAR DOWN!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    It's all about CONSISTENCY.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

By the way I'm picking the Bears in the Saturday Show challenge:

    Bears
    TBD
    TBD

  • In reply to Shady:

    The homer picks continue...

  • In reply to Shady:

    Ha, thanks Corm.

  • In reply to Shady:

Just to let everyone know, I am pretty sure if you can't watch it on your tv, you can watch it on your computer at NFL.com. So, enjoy.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Ya, I'm trying, but thus far I've been waiting for the live feed, and I think I just watched like every single game preview, prediction, and analyst for the game, and it's still not on there...does anyone know of any other streaming link, just in case?

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

I watched last thursday night's game on there..... it kind of sucks. They show some of the game, but they cut to the studio during several drives to do analysis. You literally miss like half of the game. and sometimes when they show it, it's delayed.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Congrats on the new baby blogger MB - You a daddy now!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

MB< congrats man! Here's hoping that you, Mama and the newest Bears Fan are sleeping through the night by week 16.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

? whers is the rest of my post?

It was: MB. Congrats Man! Here's hoping you, Mama and the newest Bears Fan are sleeping through the night by week 16.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

is it just me, or do the announcers look straight out of the 80s?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Thanks Mike and Shady. Shady, I'm a double daddy now... never thought i would say that. Shit I'm a fucking grown up now.

    Go Bears!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Bears.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

so we don't have a franchise QB? yea ok...fuck the NFL network.

    congrats MB

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Yeah I heard that too - the entire panel agreed he wasn't a franchise QB. How do you think Jerry Angelo feels about that?

  • In reply to Shady:

franchise quarterbacks don't usually have losing records

  • In reply to brocklanders:

but he's certainly better than what we are used to

  • In reply to brocklanders:

this is awesome. The breaks just keep coming. This team is blessed.

  • In reply to brocklanders:

Go "D"...knocked out another linemen....bye bye fish

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Robbie Gould has been killin me in DBBFFL2 - I need a big game tongiht from Robbie... and for the offense not to turn the ball over in the red zone.

  • In reply to Shady:

    Good as Gould tonight!

  • In reply to Shady:

I don't know who I hate worse... Millen or Theisman. I mean, normally it'd be no contest, but every time I hear Millen say something about football, I just think about how he fucked over the Lions. Why anyone would employ him to give his view on football is beyond me.

Theisman, I'm pretty sure, has naked pictures of someone.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Theismann's eyebrows: "Back when I played, and the league was all about me ..."

  • In reply to Shady:

this is a pathetic game of football

  • In reply to Shady:

    IZZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you beast

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I am in man-love with our defensive line.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

wtf...is with cutty and the helemt not able to hear!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    GIRLY THOR!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Hats off to Greg Olsen!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Cutty is really going Jekkyl and Hyde tonight on a play to play basis. He equally looks awesome and horrid in the same series. I gotta say, though, that he makes sense as a Bears QB. His "Fuck You" attitude is sencond to none.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    TOUCH-FUCKING DOWN

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    WOW B L O C K I N G inside the FIVE................

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    YEAH BOIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Izzy!

    Surreal moment of the night

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Now I can relax a little...

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Come on, D, close this out. Big turnover here.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Was that Webb that just pancaked the RE?!

    TOUCHDOWN!

I say we rest Briggs a bit, so that he doesn't fuck up his shoulder more. We're prob gona be playing a lot more nickel now, and our nickle cbs always sniff out the ball.

    Bear Down, baby!!!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Hats off to Mike Tice too. Omiyale's run blocking looks good. Olsen's looking good. It would be so sweet to shut out the fish on national television and stick one in the eye of media guys like La Canfora who had the Bears at 24th in the league last week. The Eagles will be a different story, but we can't really do much more than we're doing right now.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    URLACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Can we play the redskins on Sunday and the Seahawks on Wednesday ?

    Ow! Urlacher missile!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    I wish.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Dude, our D is ass-raping the Fins on National Television...And I'm LOVING IT lol

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Various eastern sports news tools were a little off in their predictions.............

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Did I say that the third quarter was ours....yeah it was ours baby

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Let's all remember that this massive defensive performance is against a 3rd stringer missing half of his O-line. I'll be glad when the clock says zero, we have no injuries and we're 7-3.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Webb, C'mon Man!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Fins have only been shut out once in 40 years? Time to pay back an old debt methinks.

And Webb has just been flagged again. Somebody shoot this mofo in the head right now. Kevin. Shaffer. Do it!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Bears WILL NOT lose to a quarterback named Thigpen.
Albert in Tucson please note above and I think the Dolphins are all wankers.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Is a sack dance when you're down 16-0 and getting manhandled really the best move? You just look like a tool.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Olsen (Thor) put the hammer down the throat of Yeremiah Bell - Chris Clemons - they are but fleas to be brushed aside.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Wildcat THIS!!!!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Why on earth did they blow that Peppers sack dead? Should have been Bears ball.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Someone please explain to me why you'd block someone in the back on a return? I just don't see the risk/reward....

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Chicago Bears the best defense in the NFL.
Chew on it to all the boys in Connecticut.
Bears, Bears and more Bears and Urso is waiting in the wings to munch on leftovers.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

fucken a cutler. You HAVE to stop doing that stupid shit man.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

snickers is wearing off.. damn it GP did you only send him a half a case of snickers?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Shut these fuckers out!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

JEEZ. Briggs is a MAN. Takes on the OL on the screen and makes the tackle, all with a gimpy shoulder.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

mark my fu#!@$#!@$#ing words...6 sacks so far....and I can tell you that we will get no love from any of the FU!@#$!@$ING talking heads...the great G FU!!@#$!ING men are the best D in their eyes....ASS-CLOWNS

  • In reply to MB30SD:

7-3 baby. Not too shabby considering how bad we looked in the lossees.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Jumpin' Jehosophat! The Bears really are laying the wood on the fins with 4 minutes left. Wow. They really want this shutout.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    thats how you hit bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

that was one of the best things I've ever seen.

    Forest. Gump.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

D MANNING....says "take that bitch fish"!!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Peppers 3rd sack?
    MANNING MISSILE.
The Dolphins have no O-linemen left on the bench!
Their running backs have 11 yards between them.
I love seeing Yodanelli shuffling about on the sideline conjuring chaos.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

whatever change they made to fix the 3rd down conversion... hell, I hope they're able to make that same sort of change with coaches and 1st-round draft picks.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Only coach I'd fire would be drake. Everyone else is doing great.

  • In reply to IBNO:

So, while Dolphins DID list Brandon Marshall on the injury list for this game with the iffy "hammy", they forgot to also list "Brain Damage".

To quote Bugs bunny: "What a maroon!"

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB30SD - Thanks for the Green Lantern linkage. It's good to see DC comics pushing the Secret Origins of D.C. Comics and the Green Lantern movies instead of Luther. Although I kind of enjoy Luther except that Idris Alba grabs his head a bit too much when under stress.
Other notes: Advice to those paying a shitload of money to cable to get NFL network - turn the sound waaaay down on Thursday Nights.

Bob Papa, Theismunch and Millnerf - Whoa and Bob Papa.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Forte with 99 yards rushing...man didnt seem like it...

  • In reply to underway:

really? wow it sure in hell doesn't

  • In reply to underway:

veteran move by Peanut, penning the WR from getting the sideline

  • In reply to underway:

At least they are giving props to the Bears fans. You do see them everywhere no matter where you go. That right fucker. We are *everywhere*

  • In reply to underway:

700th WIN BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! most in the NFL

  • In reply to underway:

Get the Miller Lite lady to tell Sparano that it's dark out.

  • In reply to underway:

Matt Millen: When you shut out your opponent, you've got a good chance of winning the game.
Joe Theismann: Unless you turn the ball over a lot!

  • In reply to underway:

700th WIN!!!!! best in the NFL a record

  • In reply to underway:

Booyah boys! Nice shutting the fins out, first time in 40 baby. Payback's a bitch punks... just wish it meant more for the fins to lose tonight.

Being honest with myself I think the rest of our schedule goes like this:

    Philly - L
    Detroit - W
    Pats - L
    Vikes - W
    Jets - L
    GB - W

That's 10-6 and downright winners of the NFCN by complete and total shutout. Boo fucking yah! Well done all

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I like our chances at home against the Jets better than on the road against GB.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

At least we can shut down the Jets O ... but winning in GB is thew whole year.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Manning timed that hit on Bess as perfect as you can and used perfect form.
That was a thing of beauty.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Did you notice that Manning got kind of demoted?

It was Pringles and Harris much of the night, I thought maybe Manning's foot was bothering him.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Yeah, didn't see much of Manning. OTOH, not like Miami created a ton of work for our safeties either. Thigpen was running for his life all night and reinforced why his ass was the emergency QB for a team with Henne and Brittle-Bones Pennington.
The TOP differential was pretty amazing.

  • In reply to gpldan:

I didn't even see Pringles, or anyone in the secondary, couldn't take my eyes off the D-line ! Melton had a monster. Took the morning off work to stay home and watch the game on TV, going straight back to watch the Bills replay followed directly by the Dolphins' replay. I won't be popular in the house tonight but Daddy got the satellite in for one reason and one reason only.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Agree on Melton - what a pleasant surprise his development has been!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    +1
    Hospital pass.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

AND textbook legal. Shoulder to the chest. Whammo!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

It even makes you forgive the little kung-fu celebration he did afterwards. Who would be able to stop themselves after putting on a hit like that?

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I would have done Hester's little leprechaun dance after laying on a hit like that.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    lmao

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I liked how they lined Webb and Omiyale next to each other on the goal line TD...

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

I know people are complaining about the offense not scoring more points this week but I think the important thing to remember is that they eat the clock and managed the game. Yes it didn't look pretty at times but they moved the ball and scored enough points to win all on a short week. They'll definitely have a better offensive gameplan for the Eagles and I thought it went surprisingly well for them yesterday considering the Dolphins defense is highly respected throughout the league.

That being said, we need to bring in Vincent Jackson next year to shore up the receiving corps. There's no one that can convince me after seeing Devin drop that pass in the endzone(I know it was under thrown but a #1 receiver catches that) and the Bears don't have that go up and get it guy. I thought it was going to be DA but apparently he doesn't fit in this offense and it appears Cutler is turning the offense into his own.

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

I don't understand the Shabba thing. I don't. If he can't get the looks he can't produce. I'm liking Knox more, and I agree about Hester in the endzone on that play. Ideally Shabba would have Hester's spot, and Hester could do what Hester does best.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

DA is getting on the field these last few weeks, but he hasn't been thrown to very much at all... for whatever reason. We know Jay favors DA, so if he's not throwing to him that probably means he's not getting open. I think it's time to start accepting that maybe DA isn't a Marshall-type in the rough...?

Also Hester isn't getting a lot of snaps either in recent weeks. You want DA to take whatever snaps Hester has left? Heck, you could say DA already has taken snaps from Hester and hasn't produced much with them. Why give him even more? (Especially when Hester is still producing with the snaps he has left...)

  • In reply to 750mL:

I think that's because Earl Bennets getting more snaps not necessarily that DA is getting in more. I hardly even notice him out there. Earl's been good this year but not great. We need someone to step up and I just don't know if we have the talent to do that. Can you imagine getting Vincent Jackson and one FA lineman and drafting another. The lineup dramatically changes. Cutler's still getting pressured and doesn't feel comfortable throwing to who he has out there. That's my opinion anyways from waht I've seen.

  • In reply to jbenton:

I sort of agree with you about Bennett. IMHO he's played the slot very well, and Jay is just as comfortable with him as he is with DA. In any event, he's competing with the Duke for snaps, not Hester.

  • In reply to jbenton:

DA is getting out there. I've seen him in numerous huddles. The reason you hardly notice him out there is because he's not getting throws/catches.

  • In reply to 750mL:

HE's fourth string though, how can hew be in numerous huddles unless they're running lots of secret four-receiver sets?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    7-3. Sweet.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Awesome. 700 wins and shutting out the fish in their own house. Sweet. I can go in for a handy half-day at work with a spring in my step. I know they had a decimated line and all of that, but we really look to be improving week to week. Job done.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Oh, and do ya'll still want Brandon Marshall now? lol

  • In reply to Mastodon:

"Hello, I'm Brandon Marshall and I have Dain Bramage."

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Y'know what, even if he was healthy, not after what I've seen recently. Jabbering at your QB etc. His attitude stinks. Not at a big price anyway. With Knox and Olsen stepping up, Bennett .. it would be the icing on the cake to have one of those 6'4 beasts though, for run blocking if nothing else.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Offense played better...I want to say the Defense totally whooped the tails of the Miami Offense but they were playing a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers, so they should have.
So much for the easy part of the schedule..now the fun really begins. Nite all.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Krak000000mmmm!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

for some reason the post game interview makes me not like Urlacher....I don't know maybe it's just me, but if there's that many fans still left in the stadium and it's NOT in our house, he should atleast awknowlege them. and he didn't know that it was our 700th win. I don't know....maybe it's just me but I guess that's Urlacher for ya. as long as he's playing well, that's all that matters.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I saw Butter jump a play and tackle Ricky Retardo in the backfield. I know it was against a guard playing center, but still, I had a Butter flashback to the days when he played on two legs, holy shit.

As for Snickers, damn. Jay at halftime and when Marshall threw the ball at him and drew the unsportsman flag (Brandon is a fucking headcase) - Jay's face looked clear. By the end of game interview, he had massive rings under his eyes.

Millen is a boneboy, but he did lose his brother to diabetes. I think Cutty is a lot sicker than any of us really know. He's just a gutty mofo. His slant throw to Knox in the 4th, damn, that was a laser. The fans in Miami hadn't seen a rope like that since Marino packed it in.

Pep drew the double almost all night and made them pay when he was soloed. He almost gets offended when they try and take him one on one. He plays the run as well as the pass, he's just so fucking complete out there.

Shame to have Pisa miss all this fun, hope he gets well soon.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Good pickup on Cutler ...

  • In reply to gpldan:

Yep, Peppers has been worth every penny.
I said he was due, and my boy Blue showed up!

  • In reply to gpldan:

    1) Julius Peppers is the best defensive player in the league. period.
    2) Chicago Bears have the best defense in the league. fuck what you heard.
    3) Daniel Manning has a spot on this team. and that is Safety.
    4) The offense need a A LOT of work. Offensive line is getting better (evidenced with the run), but Cutler cannot take those sacks (this means you J. Webb). I think Frank OmiLord (a downgrade from OmiGod) had a false start....what the fuck is his problem?
    5) I love how the Bears can win games offensively in assorted ways. I've said all along (maybe not on here, but in convos w/ friends): when Martz puts 30+ rushes in the game, Bears win. great mid-season adjustments Mike.
    6) Mike Tice deserves a contract extension for what he's done with this offensive line. Imagine what he can do with some LEGIT talent....scary scary thought.

    long term:

-Jerry Angelo can draft defense (and bring in defensive players), but he needs to listen to Martz & Tice about the offensive line. if Lovie keeps coaching like this, i wouldn't mind him staying (but him playing the rest of this current contract, then a 3 years to earn his spot again).
-Give Jay Cutler an offensive line & a 6'3''-6'4'' WR, this kid is going to be stupid good. the one thing I can say about Brady...that offensive line protects him. Cutler has to perform at a high level w/ a patchwork O-Line; these concerns need to be taken care of in the 2011 draft. He's still making throws off his back foot, but give Martz some time...Cutty looks like he's willing to learn from someone he respects.
-Forte is a gamer. Was critical of him, but he quietly got 97 yds. tonight (STILL don't know how the hell he did it). Still want to see him stop running into tacklers (or run them over), but 1 game at a time.

looks like my 11-5 prediction is not that far off bass from where it was :-) #BearDown

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    1) He had some night considering they gameplan for him. He likes the lights.

    2) Yessir. I think we lead most categories at this stage, the Dolphins had 1 of ten third down conversions, we lead in that. No passing TDs allowed tonight, we lead in that. 6 RB rushes for 11 yards. I won't harp on the Fins o-line, we couldn't do much more than we did.

    3) But Pringles or Harris ?

    4) I counted four penalties on Webb, and I'm sorry but I don't get how anyone thinks this guy should be starting for the Chicago Bears. He is worse than useless as a pass blocker, cement feet. We would have a significantly better passing game without the turnstiles at RT. Can't protect the QB, costs us yards and downs. Get lost.

Now Cutler, I'm sure he'll get lots of credit for doing what he did with crappy stats - great arm yada yada - but the guy could have thrown at least four picks. And you can say that about him every game, that's the problem. Do that shit against the Jets, Pats, Eagles, GB and we're losing the wildcard race.

    5) I think Forte should automatically bounce outside on runs up the middle, cos that shit ain't working. And anyone else think we're not throwing enough bombs considering our receivers? Hester was wide open on the one time Cutler went deep, he's under-throwing most every deep ball this year.

    6) I like what he's done with Omelette's run-blocking and Olsen generally.

Angelo will get no love from me - not hard to make a good defense when you're ignoring the offense. Melton looks good, but again he was behind Jarron Gilbert. He got rid of Chris Harris and then we lose Jamar so we can trade back for him? That's just dumb. Draft us an Urlacher, Jerry. Fix the o--line Jerry. Can't do it all? Correct, cos you've been pissing away draft picks since you got here.

Marinelli has coached these boys up a treat. I love that guy, shuffling around on the sideline like the Yoda of defense. Tice, Martz, Toub - we've got some damn good coaches, I like our chances of a super bowl run next year. We'll see how Omelette works out at LT, but we need a RT, and a C to backup Kreutz and replace Webb. All the time and coaching in the world isn't going to help The Mummy get his feet out of the cement.

No predictions from me, like someone else posted, we're about to start playing good teams now. But apart from Webb and the usual handful of Cutler's cover-your-eyes interception-seeking missiles, there was a lot to like. Drives that eat up the clock for starters. The other team can't score if they haven't got the ball (well, they can, but you know what I mean).

My beautiful Bears made me proud today. We shut out the Fins in their own house (why are they better on the road?).

All is well with the world once more ....

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Next time you watch the game, look for what Webb does to spring Forte on our TD...THAT is why he is starting at RT.
I know he had a pretty uneven night yesterday, but he is a metric ton of potential. One of the holding penalties was a complete phantom call - even the morons in the booth acknowledged there was no foul on the play, and if you can get Matt "fuckface" Millen to say anything nice about the Bears, you know it was obvious.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

And to be fair, Cameron Wake is a pretty phenomenal pass rusher. And he does it more or less on an island relative to, say, Osi Umenyiora.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

But that's run-blocking. I don't have a problem with his run-blocking yet, but in pass protection he's the weakest link on the chain.

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-week-11-chicago-bears-miami-dolphins-photos,0,4393312.photogallery

(67 photos of whatever, and not one single decent shot)

Photo 57. Look at the size of J'Marcus Webb. There is just no way known for a guy that size can have those feet that are 'quick as a hiccup'. Shoot me in the face for suggesting it, but what about Lance 'Tiptoe' Louis at RT? So what if he's 6'3, he's got quick feet ... he couldn't be any worse than Webb. If we need road-blockers in there on obvious running downs, bring on Mongo.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Agreed - I don't know which cub reporter they sent down, but the photos were pedestrian at best.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    +1

Don't forget about Taylor, he has a handful of quality runs last night.

  • In reply to ColumbusBear:

Taylor sucked last night, his worst game as a bear. Forte proved himself to be the starter last night.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Michael Vick remember what Satchel Paige said.
    Can you hear those footsteps?
There are some linebackers that are going to wipe that psychopathic smile off your face.
    Listen, listen carefully.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Michael Vick killed dogs
No Mercy from Da Bears Blog
    Bears crush dog haters

  • In reply to kenbill:

I don't know dude. I agree with Woodson, he's the most dangerous QB I've ever seen. Just watched the first quarter of the Eagles-skins game they were showing after the Dolphins' game. Sick statistic - when Vick has thrown to Desean Jackson he has a QB rating of 151 and averages a ridiculously huge average yards per catch. He's got the highest QB rating in the NFL and no turnovers. Woodson did say the Cover 2 was the best defense to play against him. But we do have the best defense in the NFL now I think.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Bears will run the home table this season and that's a fact.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Ugly, but effective.

There's no such thing as an "gimme" on the road in the NFL and that is especially true on a Thursday night which put the visitors at a distinct disadvantage.

Yes, the Dolphins offense was crippled. too bad, so sad.

Their defense was healthy and ranked #8.

I'll take the win with no apologies.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Yep - 7-3 is 7-3...and now the pressure is on GB to hold serve.

  • In reply to kenbill:

We'll have to do more than that Jack!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

GPLDAN - A concussion is not to be trifled.
However, any prognosis on "Snickers" based on NFL Channel post-game (given "Snickers" attire) interview or SportsNet should be placed under review.

Given "Snickers" post-game James Dean routine, there may some Revlon under the eyes.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Only time my girlfriend opened her mouth during the game was to tell me Cutler was handsome. I'm expecting Crown to jump in there and tell us about the only time his girlfriend opens her mouth during a game (Normally half-time, right?)

I get a ham and cheese baguette. And I make it myself ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

My wife's only comment was when I paused the DVR on Jay yelling at Brandon Marshall...she went "what the fuck is wrong with him? why's he making that face?"
    "That's my QB, baby!"

  • In reply to MB30SD:

The Jets are over rated, and the Pats are one-dimensional. We're going to be in every ball game this year, as we have all season.

  • In reply to underway:

700 wins for 'Da Bears! Revenge in Miami. Fuckin sweet. I don't care how many fish were injured.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

hey #91, you're down 16-0 with less than 3 minutes left. Maybe you don't want to celebrate your tackle so much?

85...these bitches love everyone but us

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

24 points so far for my Bears fantasy defense, let's see if we can get a few more.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

well that was a piss poor series

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

We are lucky that was not Miami's ball at our 30. Settle down Jay. We have a 16 point lead. There is no reason to force shit.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

another thing, this is awesome, but man... if we're going to make it to the playoffs and then do something there, we HAVE to stop leaving 4 (and sometimes 7) points on the table most long drives. We have to start getting those points. We should have had 40+ last week, and who knows how many this week.

It's a great feeling to be peaking now, but we need to get better.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    54 in your face

  • In reply to Shady:

    Izzy alert! Nice.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

So they are showing highlights of the '85 game. Well lets make damn sure they don't ever show the highlights of the 2010 game in Miami. Bear freakin down!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Marshall Faulk predicted a big game from GO. He said Matz had a plan to expose Miami's LBs with Olsen's sped. Here's hoping Faulk is right!

    Speed. Size and speed.

  • In reply to Shady:

Congrats MB! If that's not an omen we'll win tonight I don't know what is. Much happiness to you and yours, mang!

    Another FG.........

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Fuckin' AMERICAN cheese bitch!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

We wanted 7 points there of course, but anytime we get out of the red zone with points instead of an int its a win and hopefully another lesson for Jay in how much better it feels to get points instead of negative stats.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

13 play 40 yd drive. Nice. Would have liked a TD but nice.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

how are you going to give brandon that kind of room. will never make sense.

  • In reply to mikev:

MVO...he's a better of the tackle runner...or one may say a bounce back of the tackle

  • In reply to mikev:

  • In reply to mikev:

    That is NOT an int!

  • In reply to mikev:

That shouldn't be a pick, but if Briggs' was a pick last week, then you can't overturn this

  • In reply to brocklanders:

Yeah, I think the ref read a little into that video, because I didn't think that was enough evidence to overturn. I mean, the ball looks like it moved when it hit the ground, but you can't be certain.

  • In reply to mikev:

    WTF JAY

  • In reply to mikev:

Back foot. Wild throw. Interception. Will he ever learn? Will Jamarcus Webb ever block somebody on a pass play.

  • In reply to mikev:

LDL...is laughing going oooohhhhshit glad I didn't have to throw a challenge. I can let my anal sphinter loose.

  • In reply to mikev:

    Marshall's hammy's gone ? Let's go for shutout!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

he is a POS..... too cocky...glad he's out

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Gee, it would be a damn shame if Marshall was out of the game.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Get ready for the wildcat in the second half if thigpen continues to shit the bed and marshall is hurt

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

seriously, this might be the biggest gimmie we've had all year.

Get ready for the wildcat in the second half if Thigpen continues to shit the bed and Marshall is out

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    irish...good call

  • In reply to nicholsra:

His hammy was hurting this week, I dropped him in fantasy, didn't even think he'd play.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Seriously, the shutout is on. Third string QB and Center, Marshall out, bring it on.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

  • In reply to MB30SD:

My 11-month old's favorite toy is her Bears mini-football. She's just getting a few words now, so she's not as articulate as your daughter, but she knows the touchdown gesture and can actually throw a ball a good 5 feet.

Too bad it's past her bedtime, or she'd be watching the pirated feed with me.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

That would bring a tear to my eye.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Thanks for the thoughts Irish, you had it a helluvalot tougher than I do, no matter what.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

It's all good now! Looks like little MB is bringing us luck already too ...

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Bears dominated the first half, they should be up by more than 6

  • In reply to MB30SD:

PLEASE JC...MARCH DOWN THE FU!#$!%$!@#%$#!%ING FIELD AND SCORE!!!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

The defense had another awesome half and the offense wasn't to shabby either. I hate this "good Jay", "bad Jay" talk. One bad play does not count as "bad Jay" material. Plus the whole good QB/Bad QB thing brings up very bad memories.

  • In reply to mikev:

MVO....I think he didn't finish his snickers bar in the second half..or somebody slipped him a Charleston Chew...he hates them!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    It's all good, mang!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

FUCK ME JAY!!!!!!!!! bad series again

  • In reply to MB30SD:

  • In reply to underway:

that's it cutty........start screaming it's time to be a leader so they know who's in charge of this "o"

  • In reply to underway:

that play made absolutely no sense...

  • In reply to underway:

horrible play call... we dont have 6"8 receiver...

  • In reply to TheFifth:

didnt see that qb delay coming!

  • In reply to TheFifth:

    PEANUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice pic

  • In reply to TheFifth:

  • In reply to underway:

  • In reply to underway:

Cutty Sark is looking excited tonight...GP did you send him a case of snickers tonight?

  • In reply to underway:

  • In reply to underway:

NFL network is killing me.... This TV coverage is HORRIBLE

  • In reply to underway:

y'all see the photo zaidman posted on twitter of marinelli and millen? classic...

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Bears win tonight if they don't turn it over and give the game away. If the Bears score 20, they should win. It sucks losing Pisa for this game, because he blows up so many running plays. The playoffs start tonight. I'm pumped.
Congrats to MB, hopefully the Bears pull one out for baby Pringles.

  • I'm tempted to use the Dolphin DST against Trac in FF. But that would make me a shit Bears fan, so back to using the Steeler DST.

I do think it's funny that Doc changed his team's name to Hell's Locusts though.

    Nice one Doc.

  • So this is how the "collective" works? You guys are pathetic. You only know how to run in packs like the dogs you are.

  • T-minus and counting on Miami firing their Offensive Coordinator.
Not only was Thigpen a spazz during the first half, but their playcalling was TERRIBLE. I think Fins fans would agree that their O is incredibly predictable, and the failure to run (IIRC) even a single snap out of the Wildcat was bonkers. I'm not saying I think it would have been terribly effective against a defense that is as quick to the ball as ours, but they didn't even try. It was like the coaching staff just said, fuck it, after Marshall and their center went down.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I'll give it to them that running the Cat with the mishmash of linemen they were using by the 2nd half would probably have been difficult.
But Thigpen running around like a meth-head was not much better.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

So did their fans apparently, place was empty. Fuck 'em. Next!

  • Almost like he is learning from Taylor...

  • I'm going to remain confident until late Sunday afternoon. Surely every analyst in the media will pick the Eagles, and that works in our favor.

  • In reply to Church:

Well, every analyst except Blogfather, he always likes the Bears!

  • the offense was much better last week. they definitely regressed.

  • In reply to brocklanders:

short week man. Forte had over 100yrds rushing. Regressed?
