  • FIRST! we gon win a football game today?

  • Im srry boys but im drastically losing faith in the Bears right now, it seems as other teams are turing it up now and we are turing it down. Hopefully today they show us they are who we thought they were. haha DUECE DUECE

  • GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey, Jeff, is that just a random pic? OR is that the one from when the Bears beat them like 70 something to 6?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

That is Redskin great, "Slingin'" Sammy Baugh.

Yes the Bears beat him 73-0 in the 1940 Championship, but he had more that his share of good days, including Championship game wins, against the Bears.

Aside from being the the games's first Marquee QB, Baugh was an excellent defensive back and one of the best punters in NFL history.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Thanks for explaining that Albert, I like knowing my history.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I can only hope the "yo-yo" that is the 2010 Edition of the Bears is in the "UP" roll today.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Well let us hope Mr Martz has come up with a varity of plays...like some over the middle short passes...screens... and oh wait! I know..let the running back run with the ball..what a concept!!! The storms have cleared out, should be a gourgous afternoon for football! May be a little windy though.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

IIRC you can attribute the mis-remembered "6" to Baugh too -- from a hilarious post-game comment.

The other hilarious anecdote of that game's score is why the score was 73 instead of 77 (on 11 TDs). Hint: it has to do with game balls...

  • In reply to 750mL:

No nets behind the goal posts back then. They were running out of footballs so they asked the Beras to stop kicking point afters.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Reporter: "Do you think things might have een different if your receiver hadn't dropped that TD pass early in the game?

Baugh: "Yeah. It would have been 73 to 6."

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Anyone want Kyle Orton back right now? Look at his team...

  • In reply to 750mL:

Look, this is all for the best. We all know we don't have championship talent on this team, and at least we'll get rid of this clown coaching staff, and hopefully this clown GM. The new regime might not be much better, but at least there's hope.

  • In reply to 750mL:

Jay did cross the line of scrimmage and that wasn't a fumble. Told you. Now you know what? It doesn't matter. Sadly.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I'm Jack Lacan and I approved this message...

    BEARS - BEARS - BEARS

  • In reply to kenbill:

Been watching too many political ads?

  • In reply to kenbill:

Our O better be perfect today because so far our D looks softer than Tommie Harris.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Sucks, Atdhe.net isn't working.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    show-sports.com

  • In reply to kenbill:

As long as the Skins dont start catching the ball I like our chances.

  • In reply to kenbill:

More fan noise today...Uh-oh Troy Aikman is making up words - "impactful"...". Peppers is going to have an impactful game today"
Thanks Troy we all want that.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Julius should have a good game against these tackles, whichg means a good night for the whole line. Can we score more than two TDs though?
    Go Bears!

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Different plays, same results, 1-10, 2-10, 3-10

  • In reply to kenbill:

Should just included it, sack, punt

  • In reply to kenbill:

Of course Albert will have a great night too so it'll be a long one ...

  • In reply to kenbill:

    It is preseason again?

  • In reply to kenbill:

mike martz is painful to watch call plays...c'mon the fuckin wildcat? UGH

  • In reply to kenbill:

    THATS HOW YOU DO IT

  • In reply to kenbill:

That was awesome. How bout 2 or 3 more just like it. Way to go D.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    hello defense!

  • In reply to kenbill:

FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!MOOOOOOOORRRE!!! IDONIJE A BEAST TOO!!

  • In reply to kenbill:

    When they score we win.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Do we still win if our O doesn't score Irish?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    That's the question.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

If Cutler looks this lost at halftime, they should bring in Hanie.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We need some "impactful" execution of offensive plays.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    So. Open.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Watch our Defensive line guys. The Bears are getting absolutely no penetration.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Something has to be wrong with Cutler still. Isn't Hillenmeyer out for the year with a concussion? Cutler has been looking like Grossman back there, running around into people after only looking at his checkdown.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    A first down! Woo!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

penalty, good play, penalty, bad play,_______

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Another great punt by Maynard. Time to get a new fucking punter.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

just run straight up the middle or quick screen everytime its more 3-10 or more...the injury risk of doing anything else is far to great to even bother

  • In reply to reprisal:

Is Dennis Gentry still on the roster?

  • In reply to reprisal:

WTF is wrong with Maynard's leg? fool cant punt it deep anymore.
I blame the offensive woes on the players that play the OLINE!

  • In reply to reprisal:

The Bears O is pathetic. This is for you 85. Now you know what I was all over your " I like what Mice Tice is trying to do" comment. Still likey?

  • In reply to reprisal:

I now see what everyone sees in Olin Kreutz, time to move on bear's, that was horrible.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

yea he gets blown on his ass almost every play

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

braindead special teams has to stop and start flipping this field position problem

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Aikman is ripping us and belly laughing...this sucks.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I hate you ref, Greg, snag that ball and live up to your pick jack ass.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Given our offense I'm thinking we're lucky it's only 10-7...

  • In reply to kenbill:

    thank the defense for that!

  • In reply to Bounce:

    Thank Indonjie

  • In reply to Bounce:

We don't have Brandon Marshall... but Jay sure trust Bennent.

  • In reply to Bounce:

Jay's releasing quicker today or am I using too much eye drop solution.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Finally. The first 20 minutes of the game was the same old shit. Started to wake up in the last 8 minutes.

  • In reply to kenbill:

I love Jay, Trac... He was about to get destryed delivered..

He had just hiked the ball and he got rid of it!!

Give this man some more time and no sacks.. we will win everygame. jeez

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Give the man some time!!!!

    SEE SEE!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Bounce:

The eye drop solution is called TEARS - always useful after a loss.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    Good One!

  • In reply to kenbill:

What I say on my first post today boys...read it and weep...Hey Mr. Martz: see how that works..Now Goddamn pay attention here. The deep plays will will come but you gatta move the ball down the field and give our the defense a rest!!!!

  • In reply to kenbill:

Fucken a, I don't care what anyone says... I fucking love bennett. All heart man.

  • In reply to kenbill:

great blitz pick up by Chet again.

  • In reply to kenbill:

    BOOOO YAHHHHHH!!

  • In reply to kenbill:

What did I tell you Trac.... give the man time!!!!

When the line blocks.. we win games. Period.

  • In reply to kenbill:

uhoh - 1st and goal on the 1. We dont have this play.

  • In reply to bajeezes:

    You my friend. Jynxed us.

  • In reply to bajeezes:

are you fucking serious? Great playcall.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    He crossed the line.

We cant challenge it htough...but he crossed the line. Wathc the replay. I mean Jay.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Fuck. Lovie. Smith. Waste a challenge on the Bennett play, don't even try on the fumble. That fucking moron should be fired on the spot.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

I'm sorry, How did Dj not get a touchdown? I was running around sceaming that we got one and didn't hear why it was taken away.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I hope there aren't any high bridges near where you live 85.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Did I say something offenseive, Trac? because I don't get the any high bridges. Sorry.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    it was a joke 85.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Click - Cutler did crack the plane but we're not giving you that sorry - fumble. Click off.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I've been saying it man... watch fucking chet have close to a 100 this game. fucken a man.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Oh, I thought matty was out and chet was going to be the main guy. He's still a bad ass and we don't use him NEARLY enough.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    There you go Hester.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Holy shit... we had 28 unsuccessful 3rd down conversions before that little one right there.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    awesome

  • In reply to MB30SD:

how come our receivers can't come back to the ball? Or just try to fight for it?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Because they're really not very good receivers?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Gee, should have thought about that.

Why are they on our team?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Because we have no choice in the matter unfortunately.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    I figured.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Cutler has fumbled at the one on the sneak and thown a stupid pick.

He, at times, looks mentally fuddled. Somebody get him a snickers bar.

  • In reply to gpldan:

That fumble..was a touchdown. HE crossed the plane with it. Watch it.

The picks are on him and the receiver.. they just stood there when the ball was thrown to them.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

It wasn't. I rewound my DVR twice. He didn't break the plane, Haynesworth jumped over Kreutz like a frog and bitch slapped Cutler.

  • In reply to gpldan:

When I saw the replay from the side view, he stuck the ball over the plane. I will get the clip on here. Hold on.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    shit show

  • In reply to gpldan:

Put Aroma in for Knox..he is messing up

  • In reply to gpldan:

Let's see the Bears win this 21-20.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Bad call reff

  • In reply to gpldan:

Wolf... you eat people don't ya?

  • In reply to gpldan:

This game is not just ugly it is hideous.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Stroke of luck. Again.

  • In reply to gpldan:

You know the ref calling is totally horseshit!!!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

What do you call all the fumble's and interceptions we've coughed up?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Is this a trick question, Trac?

How about "All too familiar." ...?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Correct my math if I'm wrong:

    Number rollouts called - Zero.

    Number bootlegs called - Zero.

Uses made of Cutler's mobility - Zero.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

That was the one thing I'm most depressed about. Outside the pocket, Cutler has a rating over 100. Standing there inside the pocket under pressure, he just makes terrible decisions and I can't defend him any longer.

If Taylor is better than Forte, give him the ball.

If Cutler is better outside the pocket, move the damn pocket.

If Shabba is bigger and better than the smurfs, promote him to #1 and put him out wide.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    INSTANT REPLAY starting on WGN.

    THIS should be humorous.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Albert and Cormerstone,

Agreed, I am pissed, but they still did a lousy job vs the running game at a critical time and they missed a few turnover opportunities after knocking the ball out, so though it is primarily the offense, jcut and the coaches, they themselves still arent playing what I would call mistake free. maybe they would play better if they could see something dependable on the other side of the ball. you know like motivating them to power up because it's hard for me to remember the D or the O pushing or inspiring each other to perform better. so the D goes out there and hopes the o doesnt mess things up and the O goes out there and thinks I am sure the D will keep us in it.

  • In reply to shonbear:

True, they have to fall on one of those strips.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

As for being "pissed", line up here with the rest of us. The "pissed at the Bears line" will make any ride at Disneyland look like the express lane.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Probably, Shon. We play the Queens twice more. If the the Bears are to be truly post-season worthy, that should be seen as an opportunity to "take care of business" themselves.

Of course, unless major "course corrections" occur on offense, it's all academic.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I just can't bring myself to root for the self-serving S.O.B. that is Narcissus.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    the Bucs didn't cover...did they?

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Good night, Narcissus.

  • In reply to shonbear:

don't we need the vikings to win this...

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I was right. They showed Lovie with yet ANOTHER incoherent attempt to explain the day's events.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I'll see it in the Sun Times, I shoulda watched Bears extra instead of the end of the Pack game, although Narcissus almost did it...

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Narcissus can't quite get it done. I did enjoy watching the Vikings right tackle bear maul Glen Danzig though.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I await Blogfather's comments on that fiasco.

The game was like Halloween candy taken away by a bully. It was right there for the taking, but it got thrown away.

Shanny must have had a Champ Bailey flashback.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Rosenfuckwad is going to blast everybody in tomorrow's paper.

None of this changes until both Angelo and Ted Phillips get thrown out. Next year George McCaskey takes over from cream puff Mike. I think George may be a very different person in the Rocky Wirtz mold and may look to start over in many ways, clean Halas hall out and mold it in his image.

  • In reply to gpldan:

He'll have to clean house if he wants to be taken seriously, and apparently George isn't a total cock juggler ...

  • In reply to gpldan:

This is the kind of thing about Cutler that worries me :

"I've played against (Hall) before,'' Cutler said. "There's no reason to shy away from him. That's hard for me to say throwing four picks to the guy but I still think if we had to play him tomorrow I'd go after him every time.''

  • In reply to gpldan:

One good thing to come out of this if you play FF. For your defense and ST each week, just pick whoever's playing the Bears and you're guaranteed a monster.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Do we still have apologists for Knox and Hester on the board by the way? Do we still have any supporters who think that they're coming along nicely and will make decent NFL receivers and that Brandon Marshall or Terrell would have been 'distractions'? Are there still those that think because Shabba had one or two 'quiet' games (in one of which he was the Bears leading receiver) that his 6'2 play-making frame deserves to remain hidden on the sidelines? Speak up, I can't hear you ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    I hear crickets Irish...

  • In reply to gpldan:

Olsen supporters are welcome to defend their boy once more. Three receptions in three games? Way to go first rounder. Come to think of it it, what choice has Cutler got here? Our O-line blows - Webb is killing us, and did you see Haynesworth drive CW ten yards backwards? Wide receivers and starting tight ends that blow donkey dicks. He has to force it unless he's going to piss people off and start substituting in Taylor and handing it off to him.

  • In reply to gpldan:

And the good news keeps on comin' .... can you take any more? Mike McCaskey, with more turds falling from his mouth :

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-1025-bears-mccaskey--20101024,0,1535904.story

  • In reply to gpldan:

    1. Anyone knocking Martz for this game is an idiot. He called a brilliant game.

    2. Another game where Lovie challenges the wrong play and refuses to challenge the correct one.

    Irish:
Which one all of the first rounders on the team played better than Olsen today? NOT ONE OF THEM. He was one of the only offensive players NOT fucking us today.

You're right about Hester/Knox but you have to admit that Knox makes measurably more big plays than stupid plays.

What I'm saying right now is fuck the No. 1 receiver it's ONE GOOD fucking tackle/guard we need,

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

I would be happy to count the plays where Knox drops the ball, breaks the wrong way or just gives up on a route versus you counting the plays he catches the ball and makes YAC.

I bet I win by at least a 2-1 margin.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    1. Whoever is clamoring against Martz after this game does NOT know football. He called a great game.

    2. Another game where Lovie challenges the wrong things and misses the right things.

Irish, you can't name ONE first rounder on our team that played better than Olsen today. He had a huge conversion catch over the middle.
You're right about the O-line though, and to some degree the receivers. I just don't understand being so down on Knox. He makes measurably more big plays than mess-ups(Not that he doesn't do that consistently).
About what Cutler said, he's damn right. Hall got lucky today. He is probably the most overrated corner of the entire decade. I have watched him get burned so bad in so many games no matter which team he was playing for, be it Oakland, Atlanta or Washington. There was no reason to throw away from him, he's not Revis, Asom or Bailey.

  • In reply to A7Xthebest:

I kinda tend to agree with you A7. That's pretty much how I felt as well. Our players did the same thing they did in the Detroit game and just couldn't hold onto the ball.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

I'm gonna go to bed to the Doug and OB postgame show. That should be hilarious. Ten bucks says they both pop blood vessels during the show. Better have some EMT's on hand.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

Doug and OB say trade the entire offensive line for Wisconsin's OL. That sounds good to me. I'm a homer, but get Wisconsin's Offensive Coordinator also. Paul Chryst is awesome. I watch the Badgers and the Bears every week, and Paul Chryst is 100x better than both Turner and Martz. It's like night and day watching the play calling between Saturdays and Sundays. Mike Martz is reminding me why I never liked him. I think he's as clueless as Turner.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    LOL.

Narcissus has been intercepted on 3 of his last 7 attempts tonight.

THAT, my friends, is MANLY. VERY manly!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    sigh

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Drew Brees did a MARVELOUS impression of Jay Cutler today with 4 picks.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Man oh man! Is there ever some REALLY sub-standard officiating going on in the Queens-Cheesehead game this evening.

The Zebras giveth and the Zebras taketh away.

They gave Green Bay their 2nd TD on what should have been ruled an incompletetion

    BUT...

They just screwed the Pack on consecutive plays: First, a TERRIBLE spot on 3rd third (McCarthy should have challenged) and then an early whistle on 4th and one to blow a live play dead on what should have been first down, Packers. LOL.

    BUT...

NARCISSUS to the rescue with ANOTHER pick.

    A hat trick!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Murphy's first law of football: Bad teams get bad calls.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    Please...Bear's win this game.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Ryan Torain aint very good...just tackle him

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Our D better hold the skins to 3 or it's sayonara baby.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Better yet, a turnover!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    D gives use hope again

  • In reply to reprisal:

and the O mocks us for it again

  • In reply to reprisal:

    Irish,

    We need DA.

  • In reply to reprisal:

Cutler, the WR's, the OL, the TE's and Forte all suck cock.

  • In reply to reprisal:

Is there anyone here who really didn't this is who we really are?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Explain who you think we are.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

It's not over yet Trac, lol I still beleive.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I never said we will lose every game. I said we could lose every game.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Ah

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

This guy's a bum. Suck it up and protect the ball.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

If they won't punt to Hester, why not let him return kickoffs? I'm sure we can live without his massive contributions on offense, somehow.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Here's the ball game. My guess is we drive down into FG range and Gould misses a chip shot.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

At least that last 3 and out broke the streak of 5 straight turnovers.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    what on earth was that

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

DeAngelo Hall knows the plays better than Knox apparently

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

In a way, I feel like I'm having an out of body experience. Kinda like those stories you hear about people being operated on in the emergency room and they talk about being out of body and seeing everything that's happening and they're at total peace. It is what it is.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

My Bad. Sorry Robbie. I'm done with Cutler. Orton is better than him straight up.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Hence, my comments a few weeks ago. The Bronco's should have given the Bears 2 #1 picks. We got stiffed and lost out on being able to replenish the O-line with no draft picks.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I thought all the people bitching about Cutler were haters. Count me in that category. I'm done with him.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Well from a realistic point of view, he's better than Collins or Hanie, and has upside if given some protection and better receivers. Sorry, but Hester and Knox are fast, just not very good receivers, and they can't stretch the field. Hester not moving back towards the ball on that stop pattern was testament to that.

We paid a lot of Cutler and he's here and not going anywhere soon, so the only thing we can do to make the situation better is get him a big receiver, protection and run the ball more, particularly to Chester Taylor.

We're getting better as a team ... but is Cutler?

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

It's gonna be a wrap boys, we still suck.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

That's game. I'm sorry I beleived in Jay too much.

He cost us the game in end.

Our defense should get some respect. They forced I don't know how many turnovers, one touchdown, and special teams blocked a field goal and played well.

    Depressing game.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

this loss hurts. this team will NOT be going to the playoffs. people will be fired (thank God). Lovie, just don't get our QB killed.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

I know you felt this could happen today FQ. Have another dose of truth, THE BEARS OFFENSE SUCKS.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We all ready got that dose of truth...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I don't know what the deal with Jay Cutler is. Knox broke off routes and Hester's route running sucks, but Cutler just makes it so much worse by making horrible decisions.

Webb is finally making blocks at RT and Omlette is holding it down at LT. Lance Louis and Chris Williams in the middle shores up Olin's old man in a wheelchair blocking. Cutler actually got to make his 7 step drops and look downfield in the 2nd half. He just fucked it up every time.

I guess we need the bye week in some ways, in other ways it would be better if we just kept playing, because the Bears seem unable to work this shit out in practice.

It was awful, the kind of game where I just look for individual Bears to make plays. How about Peanut knocking the ball out again and again? He should go to the Pro Bowl just on that skill.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

It's obvious the City of Chicago is ready for a new coaching staff. Even though this game stunk it up in a different way, this is the 3rd game out of 7 games that the Bears have delivered an embarrassing loss.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

What a disgusting loss...I don't even want to watch the rest of the games today. I think we now have to go for the Vikes now, which just makes me want to vomit.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Go for the Vikings? There's that hope again. Why root for the Vikings so we are still in first place? Fo the love of G0d stop having faith with this team. In 30 years, this is the first time I don't care if the Vikings and Packers win out. And I HATE...HATE WITH A PASSION both teams. I just hate our team that much more. I am to blame due to putting high expectations on this team. Stupid. 5-11 I hope.

  • In reply to aalvarez:

No, I just meant for the night game...cheering for the queens or the fudge even for one game makes me want to puke. Rationale? Favre will prob miss a few games this season, either due to that ankle, elbow or tiny appendage he calls a penis. We already beat the Fudge, and the Vikes will NOT forget how we had nothing to play for last year and still beat them and gave homefield advantage to the Aints...which may have just kept them out of the SB...ahh...starting to feel a little better.

Challenge flags to fans excellent idea - or maybe some inter-active vote through computers...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Would you rather have the Lions team than the Bears? I mean seriously if you can trade the entire team for their entire team, would you? YES. To those who say we are still in first place, F*CK YOU. F*CK THIS TEAM. I hope we never win another game again. I'm so pissed I can't even take it. We are so invested in our teams. Why? Is this really worth it knowing what kind of product they put out. Not once, have I complained about Lovie but really, he is not a head coach. I know I could not coach in grade school let alone the NFL. And I know I would've never challenged that play. And to not challenge the fumble?! And that's only one play. I'm sorry I'm so negative. But I know how passionate us fans are. We work hard all week in anticipation to watch them on Sunday. We have hope. We think maybe, just maybe the line is improved this week. Maybe they would put it together. And every week they disappoint. But who am I the MOST upset with? MYSELF. Myself for thinking this team has a chance. I'm the idiot to watch this pathetic team. I'm the fool who watched every single play thinking 'Well they have 2 minutes to get 20 yards and send this thing into overtime." Well no more. Bears organization, you have lost two season tickets going on sale tomorrow. I will never go to a game again. THE GOOD NEWS IS I JUST SAVED 3 HOURS EVERY WEEK.

  • In reply to aalvarez:

Why weren't you at the game today?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm on vacation. Why would I even watch them on vacation. Man I'm an idiot.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Hey, at least we lost a game without having to hear endless bitching about the O-line.

Lovie, you're an idiot. You should turn the challenge flags over to a random fan each week. The results could not be worse.

Johnny Knox, you just let Deangelo Hall eat your lunch, Jay's lunch, and singlehandedly win the game.
    Thanks, man.

    Jay - damn, dude.

  • In reply to aalvarez:

Come on boys, be real. Let it all out, it's actually healthy for you don't you know? MB, Irish, FQ, anyone?

  • In reply to aalvarez:

What a way to go into a bye.

Trac, I don't know why I believe in this team but you made some good points. I think the whole blame goes to the offense. Knox- you suck, Hester-you suck, Cutler- You suck, Greg- You suck, The whole O-line- you suck more, and Matt for fumbling - you suck.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I wanted, want them to do well 85. I know exactly where you're coming from. I guess I've just learned to balance my expectations the older I get.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

The fact that I'm the 237thish comment half an hour after a horrible performance leads me to believe that our fan base has lost enthusiasm for this team.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

You're right, Trac, no surprises. I even got the score right. When you can see the game before it happens, it's no reason to put a gun in your mouth, it's just knowing the relationship you're in. We have a love affair with an abusive partner ... but we're in love. What're ya gonna do? Support another team? Not possible. I don't actually feel too bad about that loss - it was more like "Ah, well, knew that was going to happen." And we move on to next week, just like always. We actually converted some third downs. Protected a little better. D scored two TDs basically. We did our best considering our best running back is #2 and our best receiver is in the doghouse. There were improvements everywhere except in Cutler's head. That's the thing.

Taylor is a bright spot, he's our number one guy if they'd just give him the chance. He's a number one back, exciting every time he touches the ball. Base the offense around him until we get something going, and for the love of baby Jebus, free Shabba.

  • In reply to aalvarez:

Have a Coke and a smile.

  • In reply to aalvarez:

What the hell is gonna happen when they actually play a good team?

  • In reply to TheGhostofHalas:

I don't want to look that far down the schedule now.

We might still have a decent record but I don't think anyone on offense wants to win.

Which sucks, because our Defense came through for us.

I still can't believe we don't get that touchdown that Moore got. Those rules need to be changed.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Two weeks in a row we've been screwed by a deadball offensive penalty...first the fumbled snap and now this bullshit.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Offense- the short/quick/screen passes were working, why weren

  • In reply to shonbear:

Sorry, but I think you have overstated the issue, at least somewhat.
The defense has played well enough to win in all 3 losses if the offense would just stop shooting the team in the foot.

  • In reply to shonbear:

    Uh.....

    We are proper fucked.

  • In reply to shonbear:

The defense played great. They gave up 10 points in the first half and scored 7. They shut out the Skins in the second half. I don't know how you don't give the D some props. I guess your just pissed off.

  • In reply to shonbear:

The defense scored two TDs, albeit one was brought back due to an error by the other team. Ridiculous rule. They keep us in the game generally, and the Giants were just begging to be beaten. Why they don't hand it off to Taylor a lot more I don't know, he does things with the ball is in hand. Why did we pay the guy? But that loss was all on Cutler. You can say Hester this Knox that, but he's the guy slinging the ball at the end of the day. The buck stops with him. Five turnovers on him and there's no way you can win a game doing that unless you've got the 2006 defense and ST. Then again, 17-14 is how I thought it would end up, nothing's changed. The line will get better. They could use Forte/Taylor more like KC uses their backs, but the worrying thing is Cutler. Will *he* play smarter? He's a gunslinger and probably won't. He could be better with bigger smarter receivers though.

  • In reply to shonbear:

Ever notice, during the press conference, that Cutler wears an ugly ass flannel if we lose and Bears gear if we win?
I don't know what my point is. I've been drinking non-stop since we blew it.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Have to say that it would be interesting to see Lovie fired tomorrow morning. I mean, everyone was saying how great it was that he finally benched a few players for not performing... well how about leading by example.

I would love to see Rod Marinelli kept as the D-coordinator and a coach who really understands the running game to step in to balance out Martz (though he won't be coming back either I imagine).

Some interesting statistics. Forte averaged over 4 yards per carry on 10 touches. Taylor (3 touches) had two carries for around 10 yards each and only one other chance. That's 13 touches, and only 20 if you count passing plays caught by a running back. Cutler threw the ball 40 times. What this means: we have the ability to run the ball. Taylor and Forte are good players who could do some damage if they were given the chance.

You know who this team needs. I'll tell you... he just cleaned out his office in Miami and is looking for another rebuilding job. I seem to recall Miami having a young QB with something to prove and two talented running backs on office a few seasons back. That was the season they drafted Jake Long and put together a solid O-line. Bill Parcells... 12 million a year is just fine if he can turn us into a power player again.

Oh yeah... D'Angelo Hall had the most yards of any Cutler reciever, and tied for the second most catches.

  • In reply to mottystone:

Last time the Bears fired a head coach in mid-season was, I believe, um... never.

You think they're gonna to drop the hammer on one while he's 4 & 3?

Get real folks, NEITHER "Bill", (Cowher OR Parcells) is coming to Chicago. Halas hall does not have enough money to entice eother of them to work for the one of the League-Laughing-Stock organizations of the NFL.

  • In reply to mottystone:

    Narcissus for a PICK SIX!

  • In reply to mottystone:

  • In reply to TheGhostofHalas:

The Bears defense is pretty damn good. The offense is offensive.

  • In reply to TheGhostofHalas:

True. Don't make any playoff plans, Deadskin fans.

  • In reply to TheGhostofHalas:

Now you have it coach. We have to beat the tweeners to make the playoffs.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

At this point I don't care if they wipe out Cutler.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Guys, what do you expect? There is no way we can succeed against the week seven defensive player of the week.

Wait, oops.. we MADE him what he is.

    FML.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

    Pathetic

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

What's going to be more painful? Lovie's postgame conference where he tells everyone not to panic and that the Bears are still in first place? Or Cutler's grunts, pouts and single-word answers?

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

What is your pre-occupation with Lovie. He runs the D. The D has been solid. The O is on Martz and they suck cock. If you want to blame someone, blame Angelo. We have shit for talent.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

He doesn't understand clock management, makes terrible decisions on most challenges, ran Ron Rivera out of town, and generally seems both stupid and condescending. I'm supposed to be giving a pass to a head coach who doesn't understand offense??? Remember the phrase "Rex is our quarterback" being shoved down our throats game after game? Both Angelo AND Lovie are the problem.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

And Lovie's defenses haven't been all that great between 2006 and 2010. Let's see where this one finishes up.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

I get you hate Lovie. This loss isn't on him. It's on a no talent offense, a QB that's basically Rex with bigger hands and a stronger arm (same clueless football IQ), mediocre feature back, worst OL in the NFL and 4 mediocre TE's.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

First of all, if Lovie had thrown a challenge flag on Cutler's "fumble" we might have even won the game. But fine, this loss isn't all on him. However, you can't give a head coach a free pass on offense, just because he's a defensive coach. He's responsible for the whole team, and the fact that he's so hands-off with the offense (and Cutler, who could be so much better under a coach like Shanahan) show a major weakness on his part.

Add to that the fact that he's stubborn, is a poor judge of talent (yes, head coaches play a part here too) and that he hasn't really had a great defense for a while, and he needs to be fired.

Angelo needs to be fired too.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Glad I haven't been home to watch these last two games. Losing at home to SEA and WAS is... depressing.

How do you only attempt 15 rushes in a close game where your QB's hurling INTs left and right? I knew this Martz thing was going to be a disaster.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

    GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Actually the the defense played very good and the oline started to gel a little too..But Cutler made some very bad throws...which really makes me wonder after making good decisions the first few games and to do this..it's like wtf. We had plenty of time to get the ball down the field with the short passes and the run, so why not at least get in field goal range then try a deeper route.I don't get it!

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

2 of those INTs go at the feet of our receivers who CONTINUE TO KEEP CUTTING OFF ROUTES! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! FIX THAT!

Say what you want, Olson haters, but at least when Cutler puts up a ball for him to make a play on, HE TRIES TO MAKE A PLAY ON IT and does become a freakin' SPECTATOR!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Ddoes NOT become a spectator.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Repeating myself from yesterday but, here is the Bears new fight song:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRBSqLpbf_M

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

And at least we're not the Chargers. Rivers had a long throw to Goodman, who went to ground untouched, the put the ball down for the Patriots to pick up. You would think that would be enough for them to learn to play to the whistle, but a couple of drives later, Rivers threw a pass to Hester that was ruled a lateral. It sure looked like a forward pass to me, but Hester just let it sit there, and New England picked it up and ran 63 yards the other way. Now that's a poorly coached team.

BTW, Oakland is up 31-0 (!) on Denver early in the 2nd. Orton is 3/8 with 38 yards and an interception.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Make that 38-0, and add a lost fumble to KO's stats.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Never had a chance even when we were ahead. -4 net yards of offense in the first half? How many turnovers in the second? The O-line is lucky, because Cutler blew it and gets to share the blame. But it was them that precluded them from doing anything in the first place.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

make that 3. the 4th one was on Jay.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

+50...and it's not "receivers", it's at the feet of Knox.
All three were clearly Knox breaking off a route early, giving up on a deep ball and having the corner out run him to the ball, and then not fighting through the corner for the third.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

COMPLETELY agree...Culter is still under the delusion that he's throwing to Marshall, who will actually go up and make a play...TWO of those picks were Knox's fault. The O-line actually did start "gelling" together, god knows how...maybe I was just brain-washed by so much Lovie propaganda that I started seeing it, but Cutler in the second half had much more time...too bad his brain didn't gel together as fast.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Nine games remain and the Bears will win again.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Oh for sure. 5-11 is a definite possibility.

Hey GP... wathc the game high lights...

I told you we got a touchdown!!!!!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

I agree Lovie should have not challenged the Bennett pass, and SHOULD have challenged this play, but I do not think they would have overturned the ruling on the field, and he clearly fumbled.

  • In reply to gpldan:

We;ll never know, but the ball clearly broke the plane.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

The chance of a reverse on the call for a TD, but no challenge ... incredible.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Didn't the commentator say " why didn't they challenge this play, he clearly crosses the line?"

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Jay Cutler is just a taller version of Rex Grossman.Great arm strength does not exclude bad plays on the field.

Unfortunately the Bears got hosed BIG TIME in the Orton trade.

  • In reply to johnkos:

He's got bigger hands too. His girlfriend likes that!

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

I've been a Bears fan for 30 years and I'm done. No more. It's absolutely embarrassing. I don't even know who to be mad at as there is so much blame. The offense line, Cutler, Martz, Lovie, red zone offense, fumbles, interceptions, penalties. I can't take it. I've wasted hours and hours of my life watching this team and from this day forward I will never, EVER watch them again. NO. MORE. 6 turnovers. Come on.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Boy, that was extremele disappointing, to say the least. It's a hypothetical question (actually, make that a retorical question) but where would we be with Kyle Orton and those draft picks back? I know the history of the Bears top round draft picks but would we really have been any worse over the last 23 games? I'm beginning to think not..

  • In reply to tobijohn:

Worse off? Hard to imagine ... Angelo would have blown those picks anyway. That's one thing to remember.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Orton>>>Cutler and Im speaking in terms of QB IQ

  • In reply to johnkos:

Jay certainly has seemed to have trouble reading defenses or is that the clause whereby he can't audible, because the 'audible' is a built into the play (as ridiculous as that sounds).

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Damn. That was depressing. There were so many ways we could have and should have won that game, but we threw it away, literally.

I really didn't expect to much from this team this year. We all know the shortcomings we have in key areas. Nevertheless this game is gonna have me bummed for days. Fuck.

  • In reply to mikev:

Not a nice feeling is it? Knowing that the team is slowly improving, but the Golden Goose is laying farts instead of golden eggs.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

If a 4-12 finish after a 4-1 start is all that is needed to get Teddy,Angelo,Lovie, martz,Tice and most of the players on offesne out of Chicago then so be it.

This is BAD football...really BAD..not even mediocre

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

17-14. No surprise there. Cutler ain't doing it. We will be lucky to beat Buffalo and it's looking less likely all the time.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I predicted the Bears losing 17-6 a couple of days ago. Didn't see our D getting a pick 6, my bad.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

I quit, why stay with whats working....huh ..I mean all the time in the world to get the ball down field and Martz calls for the long bomb. Fuck him....that's it I'm fucking done...see ya next year if they get rid of Lovie and the crew!!!!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Lovie didn't do anything wrong yesterday, that was all on Cutler/receivers/Martz.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

No question, that game was all on Cutler. No respect for D. Hall.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Bye fellas. It's been real shitty.

    Enter swan dive.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Well, Cutler, you fucked that up. Fo sho.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Early onset dementia.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

An average team that can lose every game on the schedule.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

OK. There's a huge fucking break. If we don't go down the field and score we're fucked.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

An average team that can lose every game on the schedule.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Definitely not a good team that can win every game.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Indonjie you are a beast.

  • In reply to reprisal:

Team of fools coached by the king of fools.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

I dont get the fumble - was 2nd and 10, they pick up 9 yards but a 10 yard penalty - then its 2nd and 11. Seems it should have been 3rd and 11. The play counted, right, hence why it wasnt 2nd and 20. Why not 3rd and 11?

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Offense of fools, I think you mean. It's hard to imagine what more to defense could do to keep the Bears in this game.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Fair enough. Let's see if they can get a stop here.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

...or if they can get a foolish offsides. Sigh.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Defense so good...offense please please just stop shitting the bed

  • In reply to Ufficio:

let me guess delay of game?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Can we not play like this is Detroit? Come on.. we had a first down and Matt has to fumble.. come on.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Hence, my bridge joke 85.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Now, I get it.

    Damn.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

How many turnovers have happen in this game?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

There's very little to like about this team.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

DJ Moore was unlucky not to have two TDs, and ith Cutleer's pick 6, we haven't exactly been out of the game. We can win this. Go D!

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Ok, Jay, your making me look really bad. Why are you doing this? Johnny, stop letting people move your ass.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    wwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooowwwwww

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Forte is not a good back. He is very average. Is there a reason Chester Taylor never touches the ball?

  • In reply to zmac:

Taylor should definitely be our #1. Go peanut.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    I repeat: Oy vey.

Swan dive off the balcony time?

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Wow, 2nd and 4 running first down. Play calling is definitely much better today.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    We are FUCKING CURSED. WTF

  • In reply to tedtaxon:

No, we're just not as good as our record reno. Don't worry though, even that will change soon. Our record our mean.

  • In reply to tedtaxon:

Fuck you Jerry Angelo, this is your fault.

  • In reply to tedtaxon:

Yes, "cursed" with indifferent management and an incompetant head coach.

  • In reply to tedtaxon:

That was NICE CATCH by Chris Williams.
Apparently, we didn't WASTE that first round pick, we're just playing the guy out of position.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Now that cheered me up.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Outstanding effort on defense and for that they should feel good, but this is nothing new. It's been going on for years and it stinks from the top down. This franchise just doesn't understand quarterbacking and offense in general. Jerry Angelo needs to come forward and defend what has clearly been a disastrous, embarrassing and beyond pathetic attempt at what most people refer to as OFFENSE!

  • In reply to Shady:

Jerry needs to fall on his sword. Preferably through the eye sockets. Twice.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

What pisses my off is the last drive. We had the clock on our side, and good field position. Martz should of called better plays. That last int all of our WR's were on go routes, WHY? idfuckingknow. Martz sucks! Lovie sucks! Cutler sucks!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Im fucking disgusted! where the fuckin ppl that were talkin shit last week. "WE ARE OK WE ARE 4-2" FUCK THAT SHIT!. I dont wanna hear none of that bullshit. WE SUCK! plain and simple! our defense is solid but Lovie, Martz, and Offense suck! We need OLINE and a #1 WR

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Dear Jerry,

The time has come to remove Lovie as our Head Coach and replace him with Bill Cower. Now. The bye week will give Cower two weeks to evaluate talent and coach up his coordinators. I would not change coordinators in mid-stream, but I would let them know they are auditioning for their future in Chicago.

    Moving on,

    1. Saw something from Johnny Knox today that made me wince. Alligator arms across the middle of the field. Not the slant route he stopped on either. Brutal. He is a small dude, but sacrifice is the ultimate measuring stick of greatness.

    2. I think Jay is going to flourish in this system. The learning curve is tough to stomach.

    3. Matt Forte needs to hold on to the fucking football.

    4. Matt Toenia is fun to watch. As is Izzy. Well done Marinelli!

  • In reply to PhantomOne:

    Dear Lovie, Jerry, and Ted,

The time has come for you to ALL be fired (and take Mike Martz with you). We'll keep Tice & Hot Rod because they actually know what the fuck they're doing. Have a nice life and hopefully you all will work with the teams in our division.

All the best (or maybe not),
    Chicago Bears fans

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Lovie went with the smart money in the off season FQ. I briefly commented on this months back. Lovie decided to put most of Ginny's money on Peppers, Harris and Wright because he figured if he gets canned, at least he can take advantage of his time remaining with the club to prove he can still be someones Defensive Co-Ordinator down the road. Spending the money on Manu was a total waste.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Manu sucks!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I just dont know what to say. we had so many chances to win the game, the defense played great but our offense couldnt put it together.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    That is a good point.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I am kinda missing VJack or Marshall on a day like today.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Preaching to the fucking choir GPL. Even a T.O. would make us so much different. A big body to fling it at in desperation instead of smurfs who don't even know how to play the position.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    nothing to say.... "sigh"

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    great point.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

let's go minnesota (i cannot believe i just said that shit).

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

We need to start a fan takeover. There's gotta be at least a million Bears fans who will put in $500 so we can buy out the McCaskeys, fire JA, fire Lovie, fire Martz, and start rebuilding the team with an offensive line that can block for a QB who throws the ball to the right team.

  • In reply to IBNO:

    I hear that.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I'm in. At least buy a billboard, like they did in Buffalo...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Martz didn't fumble it twice, run short routes for two ints, or throw another two ints...did u see him at the sidelines? Aikman said he looked liked he wanted to puke, which is how I felt after turnover number 6. This was on the players, period.

The only questionable call was that non-challenge, BUT, even now, can anyone really gaurantee that would've been turnoved? In retrospect, all fan's are saying that we shouldn't have challenged the first one, but those are the same fans that were bitching about how horrible we are at the goaline...and unless Lovie was Nostrodamus, how the hell was he to know that Cutler would fumble it at the 1inch line, or for it not to be called a TD?

I'm on the "get Lovie out of Chi-town" bandwagon, but THIS game was not on him, Martz or our D...it was all on the O PLAYERS and their massive incompetence. What coaching staff in the history of the NFL could overcome 6 turnovers, bad calls, bad bounces and horrible offense?

What has happened to Jay Cutler? And specifically I'm asking, what has happened to his former accuracy? After personally pinning the last Seahawks loss against Mike Martz, I went back and rewatched that game. What I saw was more damning on Cutler than on Martz - Jay was off that whole game. Now we watch him in this game and even the short stuff he's not hitting. He was inaccurate the entire game. My memory tells me this is a recent phenomenon - since his Giants lobotomy game. Is that game having lingering effects on him still?

Where Martz is at fault is in even calling a play that has Knox streaking a go when the situation screamed ball control, march down field, squeeze all time out of the clock and either win the game or kick yourself into overtime. Jay has already more than proven that, if given a chance between a pass to Johnny Knox and any other Chicago Bears receiver, it's going to Knox. It only pushes the probability from 95% to 100% when the Knox route in question is a go. That was very very poor playcalling that didn't take into account the known personality of your quarterback, or an evaluation of how said quarterback had played in this game up until that point. Martz is also apparently the worst red zone playcaller ever - is it possible to be worse the Ron Turner here? Yes.

Although there is more than one job in Lovie's job description (like overruling his offensive coordinator for example) - there's only one job he ACCEPTS as head coach - throwing the red flag. And he's absolutely terrible at it - THE ONLY THING HE DOES AS HEAD COACH (apparently) - AND HE SUCKS AT THE ONLY THING HE DOES.

Enjoy your remaining 9 games coaches. You WILL be fired at the end of the season. You too Jerry! Maybe Jay will join you, because he is beginning to not look like a fit for the great Chicago Bears.

Take a deep breath gents. We all went through these same emotions last year after we traded for Cutler and he laid an egg. I'm beginning to believe that Cutler has one hell of an arm and that's about it. I recall an article that I think Irish posted in the off season when Jim McMahon was quoted as saying that the good quarter backs have the gift of being able to know who to throw the ball to or not. According to McMahon later in that article, and I'm paraphrasing, I seem to recall him saying, "I don't see that in Jay".

It seems Jerry got goosed when he made the trade. Oh, well, life rolls on.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

The Raiders put a massive beatdown on the Broncos, and Neckbeard looked pretty bad. His first throw in the game was a pic, but he settled down but had nothing open and made bad throws.

I'm sure Denver asswipes are calling for Tebow.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

O-line looked much better yesterday. It sucks we lost, and it especially sucks that Cuntler shat all down his leg, but I was actually encouraged by the line play. Cutler's not going to throw 4 picks every game. If our line can continue to block like they did yesterday, we'll get a few more wins this year, and even challenge the fudge for the division.

  • In reply to MASOCHR:

I find myself oddly in agreement.

If the O-Line that showed up in the 2nd half can stick around (I think Lance Louis will probably stay at RG now that Edwin hurt his poor little witty back.) and we stick Caleb Hanie in there, we could actually come up with something.

None of that will happen, because the day that Cutler gets benched is the day that Angelo must resign, but the line finally figured out some protection in the 2nd half.

  • In reply to tedtaxon:

Left in 3rd quarter, could no longer watch the travesty.

Lovie lost this game with the challenge flag. Fire him; nothing else to say.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    +1.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Can we blame Lovie for everything?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

There are many to blame, but he should be first on the firing line.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

    delay of game... of course.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

    +1

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Holy motherfucking shit!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

No such think MB but I get your meaning.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    there we go

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    OMFGWTF

  • In reply to MB30SD:

And that is basic Mr. Hester, you have to catch those. This guy is keeping Shabba off the field?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    yeah, funny

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

that's my issue. Not that the route was shit, or that the effort wasn't there, but he just doesn't try and is scared of contact. fuck hester.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

hester is not a true WR.

  • In reply to Bounce:

No shit Bounce, then why the fuck are we playing him and PAYING him as one?

So your argument is that because he's not a true WR, even though we're paying him and incenting him like one, it's ok for him not to try hard or block hard or do anything beyond making circus catches 5% of the time?

Don't buy it and hate that you made that 'argument'.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Good Job, Manning.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

THAT is fucking called effort bitch!!! Jesus Manning... that was unreal! Hester you pussy, are you watching!?!?!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Yeah, wasn't that pretty. I think Zmac brought up a good point. I think, Roma slept with either Lovie's or Martz's wife, daughter, or grandmother.

I still don't get why he isn't out there.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Yeah a couple drops in one game doesnt warrant him being on the bench all year. He is your best reciever and Hester is pointless with Knox on the field. Let Hester return punts and kicks. Its what he does.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

That one was on Jay..they new it was gonna be a 7 step back pass and Wash played it perfectly.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    What a catch!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Manning!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Mr. Athletic. Danieal Manning.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

D continuously trying to bail us out

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Hester.. just stands there.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Why run Cutler behind Kreutz against Haynesworth and an eight man front?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

no motherfucking way man... are you fucking kidding me?!?!?!?! We are the unluckiest team ever man.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Come on lovie!!! nice way to burn a challenge...Cutler had that TD!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Stupid, stupid rule.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Ugh, the last 4 plays have been killer. Bennett wasnt in, Cutler was before the fumble, McNabb fumbles, delay of game negates a second DJ Moore pick-six.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

When was the last time the Bears scored from 1st and goal from the 1? They're almost guaranteed not to score in that situation.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Moore is doing a great job today besiudes the fact that someone has very obviously put a huge voodoo fucking curse on us. fuck man.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Did Roma sleep with Lovie's wife or something?

  • In reply to zmac:

    ya, he must have

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Bullshit MB. Our line sucks. There my friend is where the stink stanks.

  • In reply to bajeezes:

And thats why you challenge the previous play and hope with all your heart it's a touchdown.

  • In reply to bajeezes:

    thats a touchdown

  • In reply to kenbill:

No '85, when Martz pulls his ego out of his ass and does what's been painfully obvious to the rest of us. Th short high % plays and screens/bumps/shotgun is what we need to do ALL THE TIME with this line. You saw what it leads to. Martz was just too damn stubborn to do what everyone, probably including him, knew we had to do with this line.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Yeah, I agree with that.

  • In reply to kenbill:

que up the wasted time out

  • In reply to reprisal:

    Worst offensive line EVER!

  • In reply to reprisal:

    Indonjie, you do it dude.

  • In reply to reprisal:

Im fucken tired of this BULLSHIT!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Deja Vu. This shit is exactly the same tone as Seattle.

3 and out, give it to them at the 50. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

We need to make better tackles.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

We need to field an offense.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Come on, we cant even hit the easy plays now

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Man, we're having trouble even making a yard. Damn this is brutal.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    Oy vey.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

O is awful. Same old, same old. What's with Cutler running right into the LB? Throw the fucking ball away. Right now Cutler looks like Bobby Douglass without the running skills.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    * Peppers ain't right, something is wrong with him
    * We're a different D without Briggsy
    * we're not getting any preassure up front so our dbs are getting smoked at will
    * Norwiegen... or whatever the fuck this station is, is a strange language.

  • In reply to kenbill:

Give it up for Indonjie because he defelcted it.

This is why you keep Jay up and protected. The numbers are different when you do.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Scrappy sheed and Hungry like the Smurf combine to be the best punt coverage outside men in the NFL. WTG Taub.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    hungry like a smurf..

    Wolfe?

  • Fantasy Sidenote. Looks like you're gonna whoop me pretty bad this week. My players played like the Bears.
