    Good one

  • In reply to gpldan:

Leave a comment...to see who steps up their game because Jay Cutler is out. Forte, Olsen and the line need to take personal ownership of what happens out there today. Martz took a bullet for the shameful performance the players put on last Sunday night, so today the players on the offensive side of the ball have to make a play or two for their coach.

  • In reply to Shady:

    That didn't exactly work out.

  • In reply to Shady:

amen shady...we are really going to see how much heart this FU#@$#!$#!$#iNG Offense has.. hopefully the HEART of a Bear..maybe time for Walter to give them some strength.

wow -- obviously a member of the Optimist's Club.

  • In reply to jdawg:

is that equivalent to the Kiwanis Club?

  • In reply to jdawg:

Who the FU!@#!@$K is Todd Colins? How did we get here?

Please Martzy I know this is not in your scheme of things but plese just hand the Rock off to CT..MF...

oh by the way let the D take charge of the game ..lets get the "W" and go home so we can get ready for our "REAL QB" to comeback.

p.s LDL this would be a great time to put your stubborn as in adjustment mode. PUT THE WINDY CITY FLYER BACK FOR KICK RETURNS...YOU ASS-CLOWN!!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    +1

  • In reply to gpldan:

Hey -- can somebody post a link to an on-line game stream?

  • In reply to gpldan:

anybody watch the DITKA TRACY on sportscenter?

  • In reply to gpldan:

The Game thread sucks! how did we get to this point? cmon Martz better playcalling next time.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    the picture i mean.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Does anyone remember the last time the Bears played the Panthers? Greg Olsen fumbles, personal fouls on Peanut, leads blown. Yeah. It sucked. Hopefully the Bears remember that too and come to play angry today. Bear the fuck down against these pussies from Carolina.

  • In reply to Shady:

2008? yea i remember that shit, lost at the end of the game.

  • In reply to Shady:

Solomon Burke died last night in Amsterdam. RIP. One of the greatest Soul singers. He could still belt 'em out in his late '60's. I was in charge backstage at a festival a few years ago and got to spend about a half hour with him. One of my all-time favorite memories.

  • 5 sacks

  • Williams (not big cat) and Webb are both starting on the right side of the line today. DE Corey Wooton out of Nortwestern is active.

  • Exactly, it's not easy being a die hard.

  • link to game, please?

  • HERE WE GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEARDOWN!!!!!!!!!

ill talk to you guys at the end of the game, its to dam hard to get something in during the game cause everyone else is posting shit. later guys dont drink to much.. DEUCE DEUCE!!! FORTE!!!!!!!!

  • Now that's what I call running down the opponents throat. Finally, about time.

  • And yes, I started Forte on all my Fantasy teams that he was on the roster.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

That FORTE TOUCHDOWN WAS FOR YOU TRAC!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

I would love nothing better than Forte to be one of the best running backs in the league. He can't be that if the Bears don't run the ball. Our run D better strap on their jockstraps, they're way too soft so far.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    FORTE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm playing Murph in two of our leagues. Clean sweep?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

haha that mean bro, nah jp.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

All right D...good hold. Tighten up that run D! Clausen is a puss and their coach is scared to let him pass....screw carolina!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Yeah baby, TD Matt Forte. Ooooooohraaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORTE!!!!!!! FUCKIN SWEET!!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Thats what I'm talkin about

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Forte over 100 yds rushing already.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

and we're only 7 1/2 minutes into the game. At this rate, he will have 16 TD's today.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    Peppers is a Beast.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Peppers is a badass!! Worth every dime they pay him1

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Damn, now, Forte can only get 25 yards on this drive.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Should've stayed with the run that drive.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Forte's got 22 Fantasy point already. He was only projected to score 7. Still have 3 1/2 qtrs to go. Wow, way to go Matty Fore.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

DIDNT I FUCKEN SAY THAT FORTE CAN BE ONE OF THE BEST IF THEY JUST GIVE HIM THE FUCKEN BALL!!!!!!!!!!! SHIT MAN!!!!! THIS GUY BETTER GET ATLEAST 20 CARRIERS A GAME. I HOPE THIS SHOW MARTZ SOMETHING>

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

FUCKIN D CMON MAANNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! show the fuck up and play!

  • good start

  • hahaha shit man, looks like i should of played Deangelo williams...

  • MARTZ PLAYCALLING KEPT THEM OUT

  • Peppers is worth every single penny the Bears paid him. Every. penny.

I can't tell you how happy I am to see Forte back at it running the ball with vision and purpose.

    Bear down on da Claus.

  • Guy's.. don't be mad.. I slept in..but it was nice to wake up to a 17 to 3 and Matty doing what he does. Got go study, keep it up guys.

  • Where did our run game come from... holy cow.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Come on D. Lets nullify that horrible call and throw. Time for a defensive score.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Todd Collins is such a freakin tool...man what a stiff

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    awful awful awful

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

PUT HANIE IN NOW! OR JUST KEEP RUNNING THE BALL!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

can you imagine if we had a real O-line? crickey!!
    Collins you old FUCK!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

our goal line offense has been pathetic.... FOrte has burned the panthers bad... I know you want to get Chester the TD because he broke the 15 yard run... BUT....

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    time for D SCORE!!!!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

    gotta look back pNUT

  • In reply to underway:

We stopped our selves last drive. So far Carolina has been unable to it. Huddle up boys, no more careless plays.

  • In reply to underway:

I would like to the the future of the bears at QB... If we score again i would love to see Hanie get the call...

  • In reply to underway:

    agree!

  • In reply to underway:

Tice...ripping into the O-line listening on WBBM and they say Tice is SCREAMING at the line screw the screaming get a stick out and turn the O-line into FU!@%$!@%ing Pinata's!!!

  • In reply to underway:

who are the Chicago Bears? this team looks like it can beat ANYBODY!!!! collins is a fuckin' joke tho

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Collins has an advantage over Hanie when if comes to knowing what the defense is doing but he has a severe disadvantage to Hanie when it comes to throwing the ball.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Do you still think Collins has ANY advantage?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Caleb Hanie time.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Collins misses another open receiver....now throws a pick...what a sad sack!!! Put Hanie in c'mon!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    anyone have a stream?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Thank god Todd Collins is not our starting QB.........FUCK!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Collins, Collins, Collins

  • In reply to FQD1911:

FQ...remember last year I thought we needed a BEAST FB...I got ripped into that the FB is no longer in the new NFL... well guess what our short yardage could of used a BEAST of a FB..

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    Dance Forte Dance!!!!!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

KREUTZ SUCKS!!!!!!! I KEEP SEEING HIM ON HIS ASS

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Collins looks like he's about to crap his pants when he drops back to pass.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    HANIE NOW!!!!!!!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

You are so right about Collins.. Tsk tsk

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    HANIE!!! HANIE!!! HANIE!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to reprisal:

    well played

  • In reply to reprisal:

can you now understand why we should of gotten Marc Bulger.. LDL JA you suck at picking talent!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

You should never use the name Collins with the word "talent" in the same sentence Lobo. Martz better stop trying to get cute with Collins. Thats two picks with good protection.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    mea..copa...mea copa..lol!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

COLLINS IS A FUCKIN RETARD. HE HAD THE SLANT ROUTE AND DIDNT GET RID OF THE BALL....

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Collin's passer rating on the season: 12.3

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Collins's passer rating on the season: 12.3

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    you sure it's not 3.12?

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Down to 10.7

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    9.1

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    And we're at 5.0, folks.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

I think Collins went limp before he was hit on the last play; like a possum in front of a hound dog.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

MBP: Collins isn't Bad Rex... Collins is Jonathan Quinn. At least Bad Rex threw the ball decently enough that the defense wouldn't simply play vs. the run.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

If anyone else in the hinterlands is looking for the live feed:
    http://zonein.tv/8656
    working fine for me.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Just wait, we are going to screw around and give this one away, it will just take one good drive by Carolina and they are right back in it. The offense is doing nothing.

  • In reply to brandonpurcell:

Correction - Todd Collins is doing nothing.

  • In reply to brandonpurcell:

Boy were lucky Carolina is Carolina

  • In reply to reprisal:

We are two long runs away from being tied 3-3.

  • In reply to reprisal:

off topic...the commercials on the radio broadcast are fucked up, wth

  • In reply to reprisal:

How much does LDL's & Martz's previous history effect how much Martz does? Because it seems like after the Dallas game, Martz hasn't done much in the way of, y'know, coaching or adjusting mid-game. I wonder if LDL gave a hard tug on Martz's leash.

    I can imagine the conversation:

LDL: Mike, those were some great adjustments you and Tice made early in the Dallas game.
Martz: Thanks, coach. I'm just trying my best to be a good coach.
LDL: Well, knock that shit off. You're making me look like an idiot!

  • In reply to reprisal:

throw the damn ball...either to a receiver or AWAY.... why do our QB's not get that concept

  • In reply to reprisal:

I can already tell you that the next pass will be incomplete or a TD. Get the punter ready.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I swear I meant INT not TD. Pull the fool.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

FUCKING COLLINS IS GONNA GIVE THIS GAME AWAY

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

OK, Lovie. Will a 4-INT performance by your backup prompt a change?

The receiver was WIDE OPEN--a guy with a decent arm makes that throw. Collins' arm is too old, and his brain is too slow.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

4INT's and LDL with his thumb in his ass!!! YOU SUCK as a HC.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    hahhaa

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Hanie warming up!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Sideline bimbo: Lovie, will you make a change at QB after Todd Collins' 4th interception in 16 attempts?
LDL: Todd Collins is our quarterback.
Sideline bimbo: Ummm... are you sure about that, coach?
LDL (appearing stoned): Todd Collins is our quarterback.
Semi-retarded color guy: Caleb Hanie is warming up on the sideline!
LDL (sniffing glue): Todd Collins is our quarterback.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Apparently Lovie passed out and someone else put Caleb on the field!

  • In reply to IBNO:

And there ends Todd Collins's NFL career. Passer rating in his final season: 5.9

  • In reply to IBNO:

    jesus omelete

  • In reply to IBNO:

Hanie warming up cause LDL is afraid fans are going to pull his ass off the bus and tar and feather him in Lake Forest! I will do it!!!!

Briggsy hurt because we let our D out to long..it is starting to show that our O needs to step up! TICE START SLAPPING PEOPLE!!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Heello boys!

53 yards? That was bullshit. What's up? Just got bakc from a fucking 2yr olds bday party in 95 degree escondido. That was fun... but very happy to be 'home'.

Ok, time to kill these fuckers.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB im in OCEANSIDE on CAMP PENDLETON wwaaaaaasssssssuppppppppp BRO!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Sup dog. Fucking hot out here this weekend huh? Bear down baby!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    Sup Fresno.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Holy SHIT! 1st down in short yardage! Wow! very cool.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

A short-yardage first down? Don't we get points for that?

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

when things go bad lovie goes to the run.... ahahahahahahahha! Precious.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Ok, so did you see Chet block on that play gents? THAT is how you fucking block in the backfield man. THAT is who needs to be in on protection schemes.

Ok, common now. How about some screens and some swings? Mike?

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

wait... what the hell was that? A Bears QB moving in the pocket, waiting for his receiver to work open beyond the sticks, and then making a forceful throw to the right place?

Oh, that's right: Collins isn't in the game anymore.

    LFDL huffing paint: Hunh???

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Our passing game is almost as bad as that Burger King commercial.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

where are all the regs? FQ? Irish? Al? GP? Coach? Hello... this thing on?

Johnny get's a pass... he's getting shitcanned at his BBQ.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    ugh another wasted time out

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Still say that any decent HC would have pulled Collins after that 2nd INT.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

What in thee fuck was that? Common guys. Discipline.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Then again, a decent HC would have never signed Collins let alone give him the start today.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    man clausen is struggling... :)

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    Sooooo with you Trac. pathetic.

    Btw, wow... clausen SUCKS!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Just saw KD get blown off the ball. His man basically made the tackle. What the hell has Dez done to deserve this? Was he playing in the first half?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    inactive I believe

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    BOOM shakalaka! Good as gould.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Nice kick by solid Gould, but did u see Lovie's retarded smirk.... I hate his ass!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

WOW! Nice kick from Gould, but how on earth do you not punt there?

  • In reply to Ufficio:

'cause Robbie said he'd make it.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

because the cards are on the table this year and we are all in Ufficio. ALL IN.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Is it just me, or are teams going after Peanut Tillman on most pass plays?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Skins are driving on the fudge packers.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

4-1. I want a new coaching staff, but I'll take it.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Gane over. Nice move Hurt locker!

Rep... thanks for the word on Dez.

Why don't we have one of our best players on the field?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

4-1. I want a new coaching staff, but I'll take it.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Bears D has 16 Fantasy points today. I'm eatin it up. Nobody outside of the Bloggers leagues wanted to touch the Bears D with a 10 foot pole but I bave them playing on almost all of my Teams today.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Ron turner in the house?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

btw, daniel manning impressing me thus far. well done.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

CROSBY OFF THE POST, GO REDSKINS

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Over to the Packers game in OT

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    +1

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

bad call man. let fucking hanie thow it dude. wtf?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Kruetz needs to hang it up... I'm sick of seeing him not block anyone...

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Honestly, there's no reason to keep Collins on the roster. Cut him, go find a young QB who has a brain and an arm and no NFL contract, sign him for peanuts, and let Hanie play as crappily as Collins has. There'd be no net difference, except Hanie might get better and the guy they sign might prove to be some sort of savant.

  • In reply to IBNO:

    His name is Dan LaFavor

  • In reply to IBNO:

Holy shit. GB has been decimated by injuries. Hair boy is out too.

  • In reply to IBNO:

    Winner winner Chicken Dinner.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Holy SHIT> Did you see that hit? Bahahahahaha!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    creamed puff

  • In reply to MB30SD:

No seriously... Max? Cheesy? Other douchebag packer trolls who come here? haven't heard a peep since our game. Fucking clowns.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

MB wassup man, im chillen bro, Im next to oceanside harbor and that ocean breeze is hitting my FORTE jersy pretty nice right now. haha

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    hahahahahaha... excellent.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Cowboys losing to the Titans 10-0. A girls loss would wrap up an absolutely perfect Sunday.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Right on!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Now all I need if for the Queens to lose badly on Monday night. And during halftime Goodell decides to suspend farve for like, 5 games for being a fucking scumbag and an insufferable douchebag.

Then the universe would be right and just again.

Oh, and SD getting their asses kicked in Oaktown. Ben, you watching that?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

If there was a like button, Id click for this post.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Give Martz credit for using the Panthers aggressiveness against them to start the game. He knew they would be frothing to get some sacks. Nice runs by Forte. Didn't take long for Carolina to shift gears but by then the game was over. Everyone is blaming Lovie for Collins. That was Martz's baby. I couldn't believe Collins started the second half. Martz is a stubborn bastard that's for sure. No way Collins is above Hanie on the depth chart next week.

The D looked good (of course, the Panthers O is pathetic but we still shut them down). Considering we had 4 TO's gotta give the D big props. Izzy looked great. Tommie better update his resume.

ST's were great today. Carolina has good ST's and we dominated them. Gotta love Robbie.

Hopefully Cutler is back next week and we get on a roll.

Fuck the Fudgies. I was watching the game at a sports bar and watched that game in between the action. Washington's D looks pretty stout. That game won't be a gimmee.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

I agree that the best call of the game was the blind pitch to Forte for the TD. Totally fooled the Panthers who were crashing down for play action sacks and then Forte was off to the races.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

I miss watching Cutler. The D was great today, but Cutler/Martz is entertainment when the o-line shows up!

  • In reply to GoBears:

I like a good scary movie every once in a while GB. Collins didn't dissapoint did he?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

If you like horror you enjoyed Collins more than I did.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

new Avatar. Love me some Pep.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

....sorry boys and girls had to go out for a bit(sons flag football game) glad to see we won I left at the begining of fourth concerend LDL would give the game away. Will have to look back to see the rest of the game!

4-1 Chicago Bears-worth the price of admission
3-2 Fudgepackers-Max/Big Mold and other trolls bitch on the Blog that they were robbed again..worth every bitching the trolls bring
MNF-to watch Brett Girl and Crybaby#2 get their asses WHOOPED!--PRICELESS!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

The Pack is going to have a real problem next week if A-Rod is still concussed, above and beyond another safety and Finley being dinged up.
They're carrying Matt Flynn and.......nobody. Matt Flynn, he of the career 58 passing yards, 1 pick and 1 fumble lost.
    Where's that douche PhrozenDandruff at?

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Yeah Mike. How bout them apples you worthless trolltards? Eat cheese and die.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Wow, who would have expected all three NFL darlings to fail in one afternoon. San Diego, Dallas and New Orleans all bite the dust... any given Sunday I guess.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Agreed Canada. I said that in a previous post - Martz is the one that lobied hard for a "veteran" qb, and it looked like a genius move in that preseason game. Now, not so much. I still like Dan LeFevour for our 3rd (jesus, I sound like his agent lol).

I think they didn't pull out Collins earlier cuz they wanted to make sure they wasted what ever money they gave him for basically ONE game. He'll prob be cut. Also, what if Hanie got injured? Who becomes qb then, Hester?

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Player of the Game: Tie - Forte-Peppers (Fuckn Peppers...MANIAC)

Unheralded Player of the game: Izzy (two sacks! and lots of pressure)

Most improved: Manning! holy fuck. He SAVED a TD after biting on play-action. and made a lot of open field tackles.

Most consistent player: Robbie "good as" Gould. He saves me a lot of gray hairs when he gets ready to kick.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

oops, Izzy got 3 sacks and recorded 7 tackles! Anderson who?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I think Martz let Manofmoolah know he was a defacto FB, so get used to it. He actually sorta blocked against a crappy Carolina D.

We saw alot of Moolah, Olsen and Davis out there. Webb and the rebuilt right side did better than Shaeffer ever did. Edwin Williams did okay at RG.

I doubt we can run against everybody like that (certainly not the Skins), but it was good to see a Bears team pound the rock.

    Hanie looked decent.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

The Giants went into Houston and kicked the shit out of the Texans.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Glad I picked the Texans! DOH!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Saw that GP... I think our game woke the sleeping giant (hee hee)

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Well hats off to the Lions for their first win. They did to the Rams what we should have done to the Giants last week... destroy an inferior team despite playing with a backup QB. The Lions are playing hard every week and they're going to start racking up wins very soon.

Meanwhile, hats off to the Skins for decimating the Pack. That puts us clearly at the top of the division with a tie breaker in hand.

And assuming Randy Moss didn't bring some fountain of youth with him, here's hoping the cheezits remain our only serious competition in the NFC North.

Well done Bears... we're 1-1 on this 5 game soft stretch in our schedule. Here's to closing it out +500 so we can be 6-2 or better as we host what's left of the queen's bridge club.

Next week I'd like to see Todd Collins on the bench. Today was the perfect time for Hanie to get a shot, and Lovie once again never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Jay, I hope the week off did you some good. Let's get ourselves back on track and start building a playoff ready unit!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

OK, I've been biting my tongue until the game was over, so now, let me do my celebration dance which is a mixture of the robo-cop, cabbage patch, leading to the sprinkler and ending with the worm lol

Bears actually ran the ball, but it had more to do with Forte's vision, bouncing it outside than our Oline blocking. The Panther's obviously stressed outside contain in the second half, and that's why we didn't run it as well in the second half. HOWEVER, I'll take it. 4-1, and we won it - with what else? Defense, and SP teams, and an early surprise running game.

P.S. Hanie should be upgraded to second string, Collins downgraded to 3rd, until we can get another qb to replace him. 6 qb rating! NO, that's not a typo, 6.8 Qb rating! I think he got possessed by the ghost of bad-Rex...

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    300th

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

And the Fudgepackers lost! We play Washington after the Seahawks next week, but now we're in SOLE possesion of 1st, and that win over the Pack gives us practically a 2game lead over the pack.

Lions CRUSHED the Lambs...they've been competitive in nearly every game, so while I'm not cheering for them, their win does give credence to our division perhaps being the toughest in all the NFL.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Well, I was away watching the game.

My summary comment is thank goodness they got Collins out of the game!
Oh, and the defense looked very good, but Clausen is almost as bad as Collins.

And have I said I love Robbie Gould?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    AHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHA... cheeters!

  • In reply to IBNO:

Fudgers just threw a pick at their own end. Game over. Bears in first by a game gents.

  • In reply to IBNO:

Oh, the fucking packers are juuuust about to lose this game baby. Can't fucking wait to hear from Don Banks and Peter King tomorrow. BAAAHAHAHA...

Oh and where is Max? Cheesy? Phrozendildo? Any of you fucking clown packer fans? Anyone? Didn't fucking think so. Ohhhhhh but we

  • In reply to MB30SD:

The penalty laden Packers, they don't just do it against the Bears. Come on Skins finish this one up.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

PACKERS ARE MELTING DOWN!!! HAHAHA I LOVE IT!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Hahahahahaha... cheeeeters! Fucken a man.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Here we go boys. Please don't miss this.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    BOOOM! Sorry, I really don

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I remember when the scoreboard in this game was 24-3 in the first quarter. Crazy that our offense has gone nothing but backwards since then.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Why did we wait so long to bring in Hanie?

Ginny could not find LDL's balls in the jar cause they have not been used for so long they shrank and Ginny thought it was just two lint balls in the jar..

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Why did we stop running it? Why was Collins yanked after his second interception>? Only this coaching staff could blow this game.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

That Munnerlyn dude is stupid. Muff a punt, then try to run with it? Might as well play without a helmet, because that brain isn't worth protecting.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    THAT WAS A FUMBLE

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    BEAR DOWN!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    IZZY! Game of his life!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Just... boo Yah right there baby!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Hester looks so much different returning punts this year. He gets the ball and makes one hard move upfield instead of dancing around. You get the feeling again that he could break one anytime.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Again, Izzy should be signed to an extension immediately. Class act, motor runs 10,000 RPM every play: reward guys who do all the right things.

and conversely, punish guys who do all the wrong things--e.g., LDL

  • In reply to nicholsra:

wait... "Kasay" pronounces his name "Casey?"

Because "John Casey" is the name of one of the spies on "Chuck," not an NFL kicker.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Hanie warming up...get the stop and get him in, please!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

This is why I get so angry with Lovie. Everyone in the stadium knows Collins should have been yanked by halftime but still he refuses to pull him. That my friends is why Lovie will be an ex head coach at the end of his current contract.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    CALEB is warming UP!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Hope briggs is ok!!!

  • In reply to reprisal:

Now will you pull him out of the fucken game? and why are we not running as much

  • In reply to reprisal:

WHY IS SHE STILL IN THE GAME?

  • In reply to Ufficio:

I'm starting to figure out Lovies mindset. Somebody on his staff needs to suggest that because we're up by 14 and our defense is playing so well, why not pull Collins so he doesn't get hurt. As long as lovie doesn't think that he's yanking a player because of crappy play then he just may put Hanie in to avoid injury to our Journeyman QB.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

MBP: we in the Buckeye state thank you for your feed sleuthing.

  • In reply to Ufficio:

    please bears... dont blow this...

  • In reply to Ufficio:

Why not keep running? They haven't stopped it. WHY Martz???
    WHY not play Heine?
This is a dangerous game- the Bears should be up two more TDs.

  • In reply to animal:

Animal...because we have LDL as our HC... brother

  • In reply to Ufficio:

John Fox has lulled Lovie into a false sense of stupor.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    he's stupified ..trac stupified!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    I don't know about "false".

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Lovie is secure in his stupor today. Hence the "Todd is our QB cause we're up by 14 comment".

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Agreed.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Clausen is going to get killed out there.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I hope that Rosario Dawson guy stops catching balls and starts taking his clothes off for photos in GQ...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    3 handoffs now, Todd.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

This is a game that if they do not put away could slip away easily. Collins is doing absolutely nothing at all. If they have him in there to just not make mistakes that is already done with, I have seen him throw one or two good passes and that is about it.

  • In reply to brandonpurcell:

I agree- it feels like a game they will try to give away, with Collins playing terrible. Why the aversion to the run??? Two more incomplete passes with a 5 yard run. !@#$#%

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

LOL - that was funny; "hell no, we're declining that shit!!!"

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Todd Collins is now in Bad Rex territory...a 9.7 QB rating. FFS, Lovie, all Caleb has to do is hand the ball off; can you please put him in the game?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Holy shit he is awful, fucking awful what does he give us in this game? Why are they keeping him in, could Hanie do any worse? This is fucking Lovie and nothing else.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    UGH

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Man i am done with collins. I hate watchin this idiot play!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    Collins again? This is criminal.

just RUN THE BALL NOW Martz!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

If Collins just chucked 'em up in the air, maybe it would kick in some kind of muscle memory for Devin.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Izzy is making everyone forget 97 real fast...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Clausen just saw his life flash before his eyes; very lucky he got out of the tackle box.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Israel Idonije needs to given a lifetime contract. The guy doesn't have the most talent in the world, but he's been a ST stud, a decent D-Lineman, and he has done everything he has ever been asked, and he does it hard. Lose 20 lbs to play DE? Done. Gain 40 lbs to play DT? Done. Lose 20 lbs to play DE? Share reps with a guy who gets cut mid-season? Done.

Oh, and Hanie needs to play. Can he seriously do worse than 3 INTs in one half? Because anything better than that and he's out-playing Collins.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

If we dont put these guys away.... its gonna be an interesting 2nd half.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

It's better on radio..listening to our Homie's go JJ& TT!

  • In reply to underway:

does collins get a paycheck from the Panthers?

  • In reply to underway:

Why would you start a 17yr veteran QB who was out of football that was never good enough to start when he was in his prime. Why pass up an opportunity to give some gametime experience to Hanie. Just makes no sense.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Agreed. They're making a point of getting other players gametime experience but not the QB they drafted?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

we let these guys hang around long enough.. CMON Boys!!!!

  • In reply to underway:

    COLLINS MUST GO NOW.....

Glad I left Forte starting in my work FFL...Where's the doubters now? Run the damn ball and Matty is fine.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Love that Devin the punt returner is back, but he's got to take it to the endzone when there's only the punter to beat. I think that's three times this season now that he's failed to beat the punter.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Kruetz has gotta make that block...

  • In reply to gpldan:

why are we still attempting to pass with collins... RUn the damn football and go into the half...

  • In reply to FQD1911:

COLLINS YOU OLD FU!@#%$!@%$K 2 INT bitch slap his old ass..get Hanie in!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

It's time to pull Collins. He really really really sucks Jeff. I told you he was a liability when we signed him. It makes absolutely no sense to start a washed up QB that was never any good to begin with. Specially when you consider he wasn't playing football when the Bears picked him up.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

So Clausen can only move the ball on PI calls...wait offensive PI?!? SWEET!

  • Third rushing TD. Off the buss running boys. This is great.

  • Lovie has got to be creaming himself right now.

  • Should we be extra excited or not because its the panthers?

  • In reply to underway:

Todd Collins is starting and we looked historically bad on offense last week...im going with extra excited.

Agreed... Just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy

A lady never parks on the couch.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Loved to see Matty Forte rockin it to the house. Best part of the movie for sure.

Worse part of the movie was having to watch the stiff playing QB stay in the game after throwing two picks. It's not like he was being effective and got careless with the rock. Collins stunk it up from the get go. I don't know why Lovie couldn't see the train wreck up ahead that we all saw?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Ah ... chum chum chum ... "No erection this morning? Man, I'm getting old ..."

Let's check the old internet here .... "Packers ....pain ...Rodgers ... concussion ... lost to the 'Skins ? Sweet! Bears ? @#$! we won ! Wow .... Forte ran for 166 and 2 TDs? Really? Izzy! My man! Collins threw four picks?! @#$%!

    Happy Monday.

    But who dem Bears ?

"Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be ..."

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I said it this week that if you give Forte the ball enough times he will run good, Martz cant just give him the ball 5 times and then abandon the run. I hope today Martz realized that he needs to run the ball instead of passing 90 percent of the time.

    Packer loss! HELLL YEAAAHHHHHH!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

It's all about getting to the playoffs boys. People can say we beat this team or that team, didn't beat any good teams, teams beat themselves, etc. I don't give fuck. No one gave a shit about us last year when we lost both linebackers and had a hurt running back for the whole year. This conference is here for the fucking taking. Every team is beatable, no one is indestructible and on any given sunday any team can win if they bring the heat.

NO ONE, and i mean NO ONE cries more about officiating and getting screwed more than Packer fags. Did you see Woodson fucking rape that receiver and then behave like a convict after he was called for it? Watch the tape Charles, you can't horsecollar a receiver before they catch the ball. That is called interference. Fucking bitches. A little premature on the super bowl talk? your thoughts Packer fags? Fucking DONE!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

here is the context of my mini Packer rant:

    Buffalo Wild Wings
    12 wings: 6 medium 6 hot
3 ICE COLD Bell's Amber Ales

A group of Packers fans cried and bitched SO MUCH that even non bears fans of AFC teams were telling them to stop being pussies. It was truly a fantastic moment.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Nothing like Bells brews and telling fudgenut bitches to pipe down Waffler.

I reccomend the Bells brewery in Kalamazoo if you haven't already. Great food, obviously beers, outdoor stage area for music, etc. Real good time fellas.

  • In reply to Crowned:

sounds like a place where i could really have a solid time damaging my liver and waistline.

Looking back i wish that i had brought my phone with me to film the bar scene that unfolded in front of me. It was CLASSIC.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Lost both my fantasy game.. DOC NITTY u lucky mofo.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Didn't see the game, but I'm assuming from his numbers that Collins sucked ballz ? Sign Tyler Thigpen from the Dolphins please. And somebody give Patrick Turner a job before I stroke out. We beat the Panthers, but real teams are waiting around the corner. We may not be able to upgrade the O-line just yet, but a solid QB and a big receiver can be done quite cheaply.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Irish, honestly I thought Joanthan Quinn was out there. He was brutal. Hanie will start next week if Cutler is out. If he had any honor he would voluntarily quit and give the money back. It was that bad.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Worst QB in the league- Matt Moore or Alex Smith ?

Reason #236 I don't want to see Singletary anywhere near the Bears organisation. Persisting with a brutal quarterback like Alex Smith and failure to see how clueless he is. Very few coaches would be going 0-5 with a squad like that.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

That team should not be 0-5, they got a great d, run game, oline is ok, WR are ok, and there TE is pretty good also.. could just be the coaches

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Affirmative. An o-line full of 1st and 2nd rounders. Top running back, top TE, good receivers, good defense. Why they haven't signed Rosenfels or Thigpen I don't know. Smith is just consistently brutal - he was a first round pick right ?

Lesean McCoy was hilarious at the end of that game, I was pulling for the Niners just to make his night. If Smith floated the ball to Gore at the end he was gone for six.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

The answer to your question is the two TD drives in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, he had to play 3 shitty quarters before that.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Receiver watch :

Brandon Lloyd is a fantasy football stud.

Anyone still think Terrell Owens couldn't have helped us?

Does anyone know *anything* about Patrick Turner as a player?

The Giants have a bunch of decent receivers. A veritable plethora Can we get a package that involves the gigantic Ramses Barden or Victor Cruz and Sage Rosenfels? Tick tock, Jerry. Tick tock.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Irish Lloyd saved your ass in that fantasy game!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I have commented on Patrick Turner a few times... maybe you missed it?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

THAT Mr. Pearlman, is exactly right.... exactly right.

"None, however, match the 1985 Chicago Bears.

    Not even close."

Very nice little piece. Enjoy boys.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    Whoops: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/jeff_pearlman/10/08/85.bears/index.html

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Victory monday and we're still looking at Collin's mug? Whats happening blogfather? They didn't get you at the fruitstand did they?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Leave a comment...Mark Clayton, gone for the season. They'll probably have a look at V-Jack now for a 2nd and a 4th rounder. Would anyone pull the trigger on that ? They seem to have handcuffed Angelo on next year's picks anyway. Ginnie should have picked up the phone and given the Broncos a second rounder for Marshall herself ... if she even knows who he is ....

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Wow, the Packers are *hammered* by injuries. Their 2nd stringers will get pounded by the Dolphins next week. Guaranteed. The Queens have the Cowboys making a courtesy call ... stick a fork in our 'competition'. It's the Lions we have to beat now.

Only 4 days between our game with Minny and the Dolphins on Thursday? Shazbat.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    From Packers.com :

Already coming into a Week 5 road game without running back Ryan Grant and tackle Mark Tauscher on offense, plus safety Morgan Burnett and linebackers Nick Barnett and Brandon Chillar on defense, the Packers saw more players

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Almost a 1/3 of the way through the season and our offense are in the bottom quarter in points scored, pass yards and rushing yards.

Defense is in the top quarter for points allowed, total yards and rushing yards allowed.

Are we still set at receiver? What happens when Chris Williams goes back to LT?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Well, I don't think that is a fair assessment Irish. The offense had one really bad game and kinda one against the Packers. This game we didn't have a qb, so kinda hard even if you had a number one receiver to get it out if your qb is so old.

I think Chris is going to come back to LT, and I hope he can play, he needs to play these next two games to get some experience at LT. The numbers on O can be better but I am ok with them now. We are 4-1 and one with them.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    4-1

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    +100

  • In reply to hollywood1:

The Seahawks are ranked something like 31st in the league in pass defense. Cutty should have a field day this week.

    4-1 gringos!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Well according to Mr Dung(y) the best team in the NFL at this point would have to be the Jet's or the Ravens but certainly not any of the teams in the NFC. They did mention the Falcons but that was it and basically said none of the teams are standing out. Just plain bad football.
With that said, at the point where we are right now if we can get both the running and the passing offense fired up at the same time, we could be steam rolling our opponents. Ahhhh ...we can only hope!!!!!! I certainly hope the Todd Collins experiment is at an end. Why they keep going around Hanie is mystery to me.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Collins had prior exposure to a Martz-style offense...not saying that offsets no arm, no brain, and the physical resiliency of a pinata, but that's what they were salivating over when they signed him.
Now we know why he was retired.

  • In reply to RogerMinton:

Same reason they kept going around Kyle Orton. Martz was clammering for a veteran QB and he got one, just like we had Bryan Griese (or however you spell it) before him.

What scares me is that this shows our organization still does not know how to develop a young quarterback into a starter. At this rate we will not have the ability to train any backup or successor for Cutler no matter how many years he plays. Obviously we've got time, but Green Bay took a great opportunity with Rodgers just like San Francisco took a great opportunity with Young replacing Montana a while back.

This organization has to build from within to be successful. We do it on defense, we do it on special teams, let's start doing it on offense too.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

The question is, "What happens to OMG when Williams comes back?" I'm no OL genius. I have no idea if Webb did a good job or not yesterday. But if he shows enough potential, they might keep him at RT and send OMG to the bench. Who knows?

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Omiyale makes a much better swing tackle than Shaffer does, that much we know. I'm not so sure Williams goes back to LT at this point. Maybe they make him the fullback, big beefalo style.

    Am I kidding?

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

I'm sure most of you have seen the Packer's injury report. I guess the Wisco Wambulance is full today with Max, Big Cheezy and PhrozenPhags. And those bumpkins should have lost to Detroit at home last week too.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Seriously.. that man should never be allowed to touch a football again!! In fact I'm not even sure Collins is worthy of having opposable thumbs!

  • In reply to Jlehr:

The way he was shotputting his throws, he may not have any.

  • In reply to Jlehr:

    Jeff, is everything OK?

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

CAN WE GET A NEW THREAD PLZ!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

    +380

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Don't let Jeff hear you say that...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Todd Collins - by a country mile. Irish, it was worse than the stats and the stats were wretched. Put it this way, Caleb finished the game with an 84 QB rating but if you take the combined rating for Hanie AND Collins, it comes down to mid-single digits.
Collins is putrid, petrified, and placenta-brained.
On the last SF play of the game, I thought I was watching Alex Smith throw to Bernard Berrian (it must've been Domique Zeigler)...I love it when prima donna wide receivers leave their QB hanging out to dry while he takes one on the chin strap. Zeigler just watched the ball float into the hands of the DB like he was Lovie staring at the fucking Jumbotron.
Didn't even begin to react on the ball until the interception was well and done.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Todd Collins

  • we will see bro, haha Idk about Braylon cause HOlmes is back.

  • Thanks Doc. So no change there then. Still, top of the division and we'll take it from there - as Lovie would say.

  • My favorite aspect, I think, was Izzy getting three sacks. It has been mentioned several times on this blog that someone needed to step up and win some one-on-one battles since Peppers is drawing so much attention. That Izzy did bodes well for the pass rush, and if we get that going this will be the best Bears defense in a VERY long time.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Great to see Izzy make the Anderson release a non-factor SC. He is fast enough from the end to pressure and get to the QB. He's gotta keep that trend going.

Wooten looks like a promising project. Has the size and speed; he's just got to get a little stronger and get more experience. He collapsed the pocket a couple times and caused a holding flag.

  • The Pep tip knee dive somersault INT was one of the best defensive plays I've ever seen. 90 might be the best athlete in sports. I think he is a better athlete than LeBron.

  • Todd Collins.

Alex Smith will be good in this league. He has all the physical gifts to be a good QB. The 49ers were overrated going in this year. Before its over, Alex Smith will make a name for himself. Matt Moore is a joke.

  • Unbelievable we won despite Todd Collins.

Pep is probably the best athlete I have ever seen.

    Our run D is STOUT.

Man they were stubborn taking him out. I think that shows you that Martz has a lot of control over Lovie. Collins was Martz baby like Canada and a few others said. The fact they went back to him after the half shows how much of a stubborn fucker he is. Remind anyone of another coach we know? Can't be ANY doubt now that Hanie is the 2, man.

If this blog knew that Hanie should have been number 2 the whole time; then Martz should have known too. Scares me that he had so much confidence in Collins as the 2 going in and scoffed at Hanie starting. That was an easy personnel decision to make. Hanie actually had more time than Collins under Martz's system this year. They should cut Collins now and pick up Garcia or someone else. He serves no value. His system knowledge makes no difference.

Collins looked like a black and white player from the '40s and not just because of his age. The way his shoulder pads fit, the erect way he ran, everything. All he needed was a leather helmet to strap on and he was good to go. I was hearing Charlie Chaplin music everytime they showed the guy. He looked like Babe Ruth running the bases back in the day.

You just know that Collins stays on the roster because of the $1 mil paycheck. As long as he's #3 and Cutler is playing, I don't care. Totally agree about him having no value. Hanie must be wondering what Martz has against him. Collins brought back horrible memories of Quinn/Krenzel/Hutchinson/Bad Rex/Happy Hank/PT Willis ... Sorry I have to cry now.

  • If I have to look at that creepy Todd Collins collage one more time today...
