  • Bear Down!

  • Bears rock, Giant heads will roll.

  • Love that picture Jeff. Bible trivia: Does anyone know why David killed Goliath?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Goliath thought David stole the idea for Facebook from him.

  • In reply to gpldan:

No, he was talking smack about the Bears.

  • Gotta thank the Niner's for beating the Falcons. That loss by Atlanta could very well have playoff implications for us down the road.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

What the..... what did I miss.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

My upset special came through. Denver just recovered fumble after kickoff. Game over.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

IF the Giants r smart, they'll use a lot of 3 and 4 WR formations to try to attack our questionable secondary and nullify our Bad Ass LBS. A lot of 3 step, quick release stuff like we did against the Cowgirls.

HOWEVER, they're not smart, and I think they're gonna try to regain their "identity" and try to run it against the number 1 RUN-D to make a team statement - but like Dallas, they'll quickly find out that's a bad idea and throw almost exclusively in the 2nd half, but by then, I think It'll be too late.

On the flip side, I think we're gonna run it a bit more than usual, esp since the Giants run D is porous. I don't think are run game will get much better, although I do predict that either Forte or Taylor will break a long run and pad the stats. There will indubitably be another 4rth and 1, and I'm extremely curious if we actually use Taylor for once in those situations...

The O-line is gelling, and playing average, esp since we had to do a lot of reshuffling. The Giants Dline is banged up, so Cutler should have opportunities, esp if the Giants blitz, which they're gonna do as part of their "we're gonna play physical" makeover. Knox and Olsen will have big days. On D, we'll force 2 turnovers and record 2 sacks. And I wish I could prognosticate that Hester will have a big day on SPteams, but they're gonna avoid him like Lindsay Lohan avoids common sense...

It'll be a closer than expected game (unless the Gmen totally mutiny), but Bears should win, and let the bandwagon jumping begin...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I see rain in the forecast. I wonder if that's going to play a role in the passing game tonight.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Spot light Players:

How often will Webb rotate in, and how will he play? If he plays as impressively as the last game, that might save us a TWO draft pick. One wasted on Williams, and one wasted on a LT/RT next year.

How will T.Harris react? Give the dude credit, he has taken "the high road" and not publicly demanded a trade or thrown a tirade. Now he just needs to perform, so that at the very least we may be able to salvage a 3rd pick for him in a trade.

Our second secondary. Who will start? Bowman, Jennings? Also, where does Moore fit in? Harris is a little banged up, and that might mean...wait for it...a Steltz sighting. Yikes!

Bennett continues to ball, will Aromashadu even get a whiff of the ball tonight?

Anyone NOT named Peppers applying Pressure to QB.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

If Tommie plays decent we'll never trade him. If he continues to suck nobody will give us anything for him. He will either stay with us or get released.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

I know, I thought about that conundrum lol...BUT, T.Harris can play "OK" or even borderline "Good/Great" for a few weeks, and maybe dupe some other 3technique DT starved team, and trade him. It seems like every year some "superbowl bound team" loses a player and makes a desperate trade cuz of that infamous "window". And I read an article that said many teams wouldn't mind T.Harris, so might as well try to get SOMETHING out of him.

But, that's wishful thinking. Then again, so was 3-0!

    Go bears!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Orton is who we thought he was. He can do dink and dunk ball control all day. Ask him to be accurate past 20 yds, uh, no. Happy for Orton. I always liked him and thought he was a gamer. Just not a terribly accurate gamer.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

He threw the ball 50 times today.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Hello, is this thing on Doc?

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/gameflash/2010/10/03/3987_recap.html?eref=sihp

13 PENALTIES!!?!?!?! Man the lions threw that game away on stupid mistakes. They lost that game, the packers didn't win it. 13 penalties?!?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

See how I did that doc?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

wtg, MB. But the Fudgies blogs are the right place for that.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

What's the storyline going to be tomorrow about the Peckers / Lions game? Any thoughts?

  • In reply to TheFifth:

I didn't get a chance to check out the game (was watching the Steeler/Ravens), but all the highlights I've seen only portray GB in a positive light (big surprise). There's gonna be a lot of bandwagoners jumping off the Big Cheeze, and ironically, jumping on ours cuz the theory was, that if it wasn't for the historic amount of penalties against the Bears, the Packers would've won.
Now, that game is not going to be seen as such an aberration, and a lot of folks are gonna be readjusting their SB picks. HOWEVER, their were a lot of SB picks upsetted or nearly upsetted today, so some may use that as an excuse and continue the Packers superbowl bound party...

  • In reply to TheFifth:

    ESPN: Packers throttle Lions.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

Wow, some unbiased, reasomable reporting... including our favorite M Lombardi!

    http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d81aeade2/Are-da-Bears-da-best-in-NFC?module=HP_cp2

  • In reply to MB30SD:

They can't ignore the Bears record MB. If they could, they would.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

If we go 4-0, a whole lot of writers will simply STFU.

  • In reply to gpldan:

GP..we will go 4-0 and they still will not give us any love....

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Thanks for posting that. Shocking to hear ML say nice things about the beloved.

  • In reply to TheFifth:

I'm sure they'll talk all about how the lions beat themselves with 13 penalties...

  • I get frustrated with the media but really don't care. One nice thing about winning ugly, it REALLY pisses off the other teams fans. They think you're lucky and they should have won and, and, and.

Peckerhead fans are still crying about last week. Esp, the PI at the end of the game. WTF? How can you tackle a WR before the ball gets there and not expect PI? Just fucking delusional.

I understand Lions fans being pissed. They had no business beating us but should have and got hosed. The refs made the correct call but it's a bullshit rule. I've got to give Lovie credit for knowing that rule.

I used to respect the peckerhead fans but I'm starting to think they're as bad as the BiQueens fans.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

Let the Fudgie-fans cry in their cheese soup.

Re: Lions fans - I've NEVER had any problem with Lions fans. That team *could* be 3-1 right now with a little luck.

  • Orton is a very solid QB. The kid has a nose for winning. Glad we got Cutler but I thought throwing him in the Deal was worth another 2nd round pick on top of the 2 number ones. I am very happy for him. Trading him probably made him a better QB. I'm sure it pissed him off greatly.

  • The other Redskins D showed up today. They're certainly laying the wood.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Man, the NFC East is weak. The leader of that division is gona b 2-2 - still, not as bad as the NFC West.

Who else here is surprised that they gave McNabb a standing O in Philly?!

    Quote of the day:

Pundit, "They even booed Santa Claus"

Philly Fan, "Ya, but Santa had a bad year."

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

85b4e... remember the pundits saying this was the best in the league and all had the chance to go to the playoffs..assmunch's..all of you..ESPN,SI,NFL Network, the FU!@#%$!#@KS from Fox and last but not least sheite's from CBS..Big "L" stands for LOSER!!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

That's why I like you so much lobo, never afraid to let it all out. Atta boy.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Ya, I remember that BS lol

But I'm beginning to worry a bit...a few "experts" actually picked the Bears to win tonight - I wish they would just stay stupid and keep picking against us.

Luckily, I think we're still 3point underdogs, so I feel a little better lol

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    85B4E... I likey...stay stupid pundits!!!!lol

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Tiki Barber comments being raised again by Dan Patrick concerning Tom Kaufman. What a tool. Does he ever get out? Tony Dungy is a terrible commentator.

    Bear Down.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    TD..is LDL on prozac!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Good lord, begin the damn game already! can't stand this waiting around...k, off to another beer.

    Beer Dooooowwnnn!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Ditto on Dungy - not to mention he looks like a robot when he stares into the camera.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Watching the BEARS mash pit before the game......... TIME TO GO HIT SOMEONE!!!! Eli (cheesecake) going to be washed down by a Dr.Peppers..thats for you hoffer77!!! I

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    like

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I'm looking for Julius "Ghost" Peppers to have a big night, Eli could have a bounce-back game if the Bears don't get after the QB tonight. He certainly has the war paint on tonight! Woooooo GO BEARS!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    Lets do this.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Who do my fellow Bear's clan think is the SECOND best team out there?

    Ravens?
    Steelers?
    FudgePackers?

I would have to nominate the Ravens, for various reasons.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    The Jets without a doubt.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    ravens fo sho

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Brian Urlacher..."Do I have a child with you Andrea?..no? Good.

  • In reply to hoffer77:

    :o)

  • In reply to hoffer77:

Coming into this game, we are last in the league in sacks, with only 2. Through 12.5 quarters we've given up 10. That cannot continue if we want to keep winning.

  • In reply to hoffer77:

Bad Bears are in the house. Oh Brother, looks like they want to play come back kids again today.

  • In reply to hoffer77:

Well that was a BS call and then retraction

  • In reply to hoffer77:

nice holding when they called holding but then didnt call holding.

  • In reply to hoffer77:

Ah, good morning ladies. See that underthrow to Hester that would have gone for six? If we had an 8'9 receiver he could have reached back and caught that one-handed. Just sayin' ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    hi dee ho Irish.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Way to bend a lot but not break D.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

The Bears better not allow any more drives like that.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

They always give up one of those early. But our D isn't built to cover and we'd better get some pressure on Eli.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm telling you guys, we had better turn this around now.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

That looked pretty half ass by Rashied as his guy tattoos Knox. Ouch.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    31-10 huh?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Come on the Giants are garbage!!!! Lets take our jocks out of our A money sign money sign's and blow these ho's OUTTTT!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Nice tackle Edwin Williams. WTF was that

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

All right, time for the D to save our asses again.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Bad Jay tonight so far

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

That was one of the worst throws I've ever seen.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    That was UGLY

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Jay gets color blind on Sunday nights I'm telling you. Someone get him a fruit by the foot and a juice box PLEASEEEEE!!!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Ok Peppers, we got away with that one. Real good job D. GO ahead pepp, block this

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Divine providence?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

YES!! Was that a hook or slice? Either way it is a SHANK!! Ok J. Short memory. Greg keep your head up man. Don't panic guys, it's early and it's only 3 points. Come on, smart plays.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I'm telling you the Giants are GARRRRBAGE!!! Us taking away their run game = them even MORE GARBAGE! LET's go offensive, blow these little giants out!!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Frank omg.....again.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Frank knock it the fuck off

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

lol... thanks for not dissin' the smurfs, Irish

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    The frakkin Colts LOST ?!

  • In reply to hoffer77:

Trying to learn not to panic when the Bears D gets carved up on the first drive or two... it often takes them a few to get rolling.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    BEAR!

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

somebody shoot omelet.. NOW first play and it is a flag you FU!@%$!@%$!@#%!@#%$!@%ER!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

And that's what can happen when you start the game with a penalty. Come on boys, were in the big leagues now.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

That was actually not a bad 1st series for us compared to normal.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    three and out..REALLY!!%$@#!%$!@#%^$%^!@#$%^$!#%$!@%$

  • In reply to nicholsra:

    BEAR DOWN!!!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

The Cardinals not only are proving they're as bad as we're starting to think they are, but also that Wisenhunt is a horrible coach and makes Lovie look like a genius.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

slow down there trac...that's a special BFF club and so far LDL, Childey are Prez & VP..who else..maybe Wiz can be in there as Tres. or Sargent of Arms

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

A lot of us were hoping that Shanny would be Lovie's replacement. After watching the Skins barely hang on to beat the Eagles, I sure am glad he didn't come to Chicago.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I wish we were playing the nfc west more

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Wakey wakey Irish.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Colts just lost to Jags on a 59yd FG. This year is ripe for the taking gents. Super Bowl or Bust.

  • I hope you're right.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Me too.

  • I guess what I'm trying to say is that for the first time in a long time, I'm excited about our offensive play calling. I don't think I would trade our crew for Shanny and his. Wow, 3 months ago I would never have believed I just said that.

  • I have a boner

  • In reply to hoffer77:

H77 I hope Da Bears have one(a boner) for over three hours(viagra) and poke the "G"men in the eye...the one eyed...

  • In reply to hoffer77:

Jeff is at the game tonight, right?

  • In reply to Shady:

    As I recall yes.

  • In reply to Shady:

    Bear Down GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

    p.s. The giants are ugly.

  • Agreed... I think I told ya'll the story about the bet I made with a bartender that Orton would be in the Pro Bowl before Cutler. I still have a chance since Kyle is doing well, but I made that bet when Ron Turner was our OC, so I'm really thinking not.

Not many bets I've wanted to lose, but that is one.

  • Eli Mini Manning meet Julius your gonna need a Dr Peppers!!

  • I like it when you come out of the Shadows Doc. You should do that more often. Very well done Sir.

  • DA BEARS....are a loyal clan Nicole...no matter what corners of the world we maybe in ..WE ALL BLEED NAVY BLUE & BURNT ORANGE and always will...and I am honored that I can call all of you my brothers and sisters of the BEAR CLAN!

    oh btw.....BEAR THE FU!@#%#$!@%$K DOWN!!!!!

  • Awesome, Doc. Just awesome.

  • Bear down, Nicole! Get that Greenville club started and I'm on my way up!!

  • WTG, Jack. We like words like that. Kind of a reflection on someone else's elitism, eh?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

By that, I mean, do you suppose Tony would know the definition of that word?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

I am AMPED for this one, lady(ies?) and gents!!!

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Who's that trashy looking wench singing?

  • My wife is in the Cancer field. The pink is all about the green.

  • Damn we almost got that punt back

  • Nice play Jennings. Good job D, come on #23

  • ThaTs what im talkin about

  • Nice field position

  • Well that was weird. We are lucky the punter didn't run for the 1st there. Ok O we got that 1st series out of the way. Come on. Couple 1st downs. Keep em moving.

  • nice catch and 1st down Forte

  • I sure like Earl Bennett

  • WTF?!

  • Schaeffer is being bitch slapped!

  • Martzy..... bring your magical wand and swipe it over this FU!@#%$!@#%$!@#%ING O-line

  • Bad pass by Jay. Hester was wide open.

  • Bad throw by Jay, to be sure

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. Throw it over Hester if anything. He is a cheetah.

  • This is not good. I am feeling kinda uneasy. Our boys are looking shaky.

  • Cutty to Hester, thats one missed TD...

  • In reply to Dustflo:

    yes, it was

  • There have been wonderful strides made in treating certain types of cancers to manage quality of life and in some cases to effectively treat it but unfortunately there will never be a cure for all types of cancer.

  • Here's a question: how come our OL gets eaten alive every game, but our Peppers-led DL can't take advantage of very questionable OLs like Green Bay's and, so far, New York's?

  • In reply to czheng:

Notice how when we are getting pressure they go to the shotgun to buy him an extra second and a few more yardds to see how his line is holding up. We should try that the 1st few series.

  • Too easy

  • Frank you whore!!

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks goodness for Kreutz

  • Olsen nearly gets Cutler killed. Nice.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

If our game plan is to have him solo block Osi...thats probably going to happen a lot

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I'm telling you, the Bears had better knock this crappy play out. They are giving the Giants too much confidence.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Nothing changes. Cutler has the diabetes night-game shits, False Start Frank and Olsen can't block. C'mon Devin, we'll need that magic again ...

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

THe Bears need to get Cutler out of the game

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    GET RID OF THE BALL.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Wow, imagine that. It's raining and we don't have a running game. What did I tell you? Sack, fumble, Giants ball.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Night shits! 5/6 seconds? What's he thinking?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Get Cutler the fuck out of there and put Todd Collins

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

wow. pure wow. I think of D and special teams are going to have to score the points tonight boys.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    13 sacks to 3.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

4 fucking sacks in the 1st quarter and 4 minutes. Oh wait 5 Seriously embarassing. J they are coming. Throw it. How muich did we pay for Manu? Looks like much too much. I am furious.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Tommie get up off the ground mang.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

4 sacks of Cutler in 19 minutes. Great.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Manu, blocking TE huh...

  • In reply to Dustflo:

Manu is the worst acquisition in a LOOONG time.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

5/6 seconds? Wtf is Cutler doing?

  • In reply to Dustflo:

All you bitching about short corners, JUST WATCH MOORE.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

Nice job DJ. Looks like at least the D wants to play tonight

  • In reply to Dustflo:

This is bullshit!!!!!!!!! Rashied Davis just lined up for the Bears on the last play, and Armashadou can't get off the bench.... FUCK THAT! Martz & Lovie need to get off that bullshit!!!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Aromeshedu wont catch a ball cutler cant throw better than any other receiver(s)

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Wow... with a little luck, Brian could have 2 picks right now.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Osi in 1.5 quarters, 3 sacks. Bears entire defense in 13.5 quarters, 3 sacks.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

My b hole is prettier than this game. Come on Bears, lets get it going!!!!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Too bad we cant run block

  • In reply to deemoney23:

nothing like playing a a cold wet piece of plastic, i mean football field. this is going to be a sloppy game boys, time for some screens to Chet and some reverses to Hester

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Was that Melton breaking through in Eli's face? Nice job again D. O give them a little breather. How about shotgun the whole game? I am scared for J and he needs to roll way out or something if he is going to hold it that long.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

The more game film teams have to study, the worse it will get if our line continues to play like crap.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

I guess everyone knew that was a run play but the giants.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    Forte for 7 nice

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    WTF Greggie.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Can Peppers play left tackle as well please?!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

This is officially embarrassing. Thank you Jerry Angelo.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Olsen how fucking high are you? Smoke after the game.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Now we get the see the bad part of Martz's system.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    Is that the 7th sack?

  • In reply to deemoney23:

And a shitty line that can't block to save Cutty's life.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Our offense is embarrassing right now!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    Yes, very.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

The BEars need to line Dez up on the left, and run the ball directly at Osi 20 plays in a row. And kick him down and pile on with an extra OL every play.

Cutler is useless tonight other than handing off. Either have him do that, or get his bad Rex ass out of the game.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Pretty sure Dez is inactive tonight.

  • In reply to Shady:

That is just stupid. Because of that drop? Really Lovie?

  • In reply to Shady:

time for a halftime speech like no other. time to run the ball. time to lure them in and then hit the big play over the top. get jay a cookie or something. let's fucking win this ugly and go 4-0

  • In reply to hollywood1:

IF u wanna get the gist of this game, here it is: Predator!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZME6eZJF-I

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Yes, time to RUN THE BALL. Let the D get a TD, and win 7-6.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Yeah, from who? Lovie? "We're only down by 3. We're doing ok."

  • In reply to Shady:

    I miss Kyle Orton

  • In reply to Shady:

We are a one trick pony gents. 3 Weeks of game film don't lie.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

nice julius! d steps up now offense has to put together a nice drive

  • In reply to Mastodon:

call be Julius Peppers!!! And Tom "turn you head and" Coughlin is going the lose this challenge. Thanks Tom. Good eff.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Does anyone else notice which side of the field the ball seems to be staying on?

  • In reply to deemoney23:

d will step up and Offense will change the gameplan, just have to settle in and start working. no points before halftime though

  • In reply to deemoney23:

3 games is all we'll win if we can't start competing in the trenches. Outsacked 15-3 so far this season. Eli's been touched once.

  • In reply to czheng:

Our pass rush sucks. We need to start looking at Rivera's old play book.

  • In reply to czheng:

    Run the frakkin ball!

  • In reply to czheng:

I gotta admit the taser is a pretty funny celebration.

  • In reply to czheng:

We have 5 yards for the half

  • In reply to czheng:

    22 plays, 5 yards..........

  • In reply to czheng:

we throw a screen and Louis pretty much tackles Forte

  • In reply to czheng:

What are we doing passing the ball. Cutler has lost his cool. Time to sit him down. Did you just see him throw that ball to Forte like an ass. That was on purpose.

  • In reply to czheng:

Is the Giants secondary really this good?

  • In reply to czheng:

No. Our receivers are that bad.

  • In reply to czheng:

peanut almost had that ball out. its going to happen though. nice catch smith.

  • In reply to czheng:

someone has to remind the boys that we are only down 3 and we need to take over the 2nd half.

  • In reply to czheng:

Wow we get sooo lucky again. D deserves a game ball for not allowing any points through all of this bullshit.

  • In reply to czheng:

Nine sacks in a half. 5 yards. But you look at Lovie on the sideline and it's same old Lovie. Shotgun anyone ?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Every play if we have to. This is not working at all.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Oh Lord, had to change the channel. I can't listen to those boobs at half time.

  • In reply to czheng:

This leads me to beleive that the "Dallas adjustment" was a forced adjustment due to Chris Williams absence rather than the genius of Mike Martz and Tice.

  • In reply to czheng:

2 of these sacks have been because Cutler is a lazy bitch. Throw the ball out of bounds! I know his arm can't be tired - he hasn't used it all night.

  • In reply to czheng:

It is the same old Lovie.

  • In reply to czheng:

More sacks than yards. By 3

  • In reply to czheng:

Maynard needs to get his head out of his ass.

  • In reply to czheng:

Take the dam pink hankies and gloves and throw them in the shitcan. This is bullshit.

  • In reply to czheng:

we have guys running 30 yard routes and Jay is getting hit around yard 10

  • In reply to czheng:

    So that is 9 sacks?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I can't count that high. I only got two hands.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

That is one more than our team seems to be blocking with

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    RUN THE BALL

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

This is one of those games where the whole team looks like they don't really want it.

  • In reply to czheng:

    On O maybe.

  • In reply to czheng:

YET THE LUCKIEST SUCKIEST TEAM IN FOOTBALL IS STILL IN IT...BBAAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAA

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

You barely beat Detroit. Not looking to SB bound yourselves.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Yeah, 85b4... these idiots won't put Hester back on KR either

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Calling it now. After tonight's loss to the hapless Giants, Lovie says, "We're still 3 and 1. We're a good football team."

  • In reply to czheng:

We still can win, but if so, +1.

  • In reply to czheng:

    BELIEVE.

  • In reply to czheng:

Here we go COME ON BEARS!!!

  • In reply to czheng:

I think I'm going to be sick...

  • In reply to czheng:

    Collins is brutal.

  • In reply to czheng:

    FUCK

  • In reply to czheng:

Where is Kyle Orton... oh, in Denver!

  • In reply to czheng:

alright im turning this one off for the night. Sometimes having hope hurts more....

  • In reply to czheng:

Time for bed...this does not bode well.

  • In reply to czheng:

    good call

  • In reply to czheng:

Why is olsen our only receiver??? three guys near him THREE. LETS GO D get this ball back!

  • In reply to czheng:

I'll say this. We lose this game, and we've still got a better record than we've earned. That's something I guess.

  • In reply to czheng:

It's time for a Sunday Night miracle.

  • In reply to czheng:

Alright... the last time I did this was in 2006 at Arizona. Good night all!

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Crap, it didn't work this time...

  • In reply to czheng:

We are missing a LOT of tackles.

  • In reply to czheng:

    everyone talks about bearing down.

    BEAR DOWN.

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

Are you serious? What game are you watching?

  • In reply to czheng:

barring a defensive stop and a small miracle i guess we have to resign ourselves to having the same record as the Packers...

    Get well soon Cutler

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Thank God we beat them already. No more night games please.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Hanie did dress tonight last I heard. What's with Jay? Is he on the sideline or already getting treated?

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Our D has played their hearts out but somehow I feel like we are fighting with no bullets in the gun.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

We may have to go all Last Boy Scout on their asses and start shooting people ...

  • In reply to hollywood1:

The miracle begins! Sure TD to turnover !! WOOOOOOOOO!!

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    what a play

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    99 Yd TD run?

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    What a game saving play.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Seriously, we need a Brian Griese 99 yard TD drive right now haha.

  • In reply to Shady:

    We need Brian Griese.

  • In reply to czheng:

How can you not intercept that?

  • In reply to czheng:

    FUCK somebody catch that

  • In reply to czheng:

If it wasn't for the lame offense led by Eli Manning, any team in the league would be leading by 40+
Have fun with this scheme the rest of the year. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAA
GOOD BYE MAMA & PAPA GOODBYE LOVIE SMITH WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO GO PACK GO

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

So did the Pack get lucky today because Det had so many penalties? You guys will not win shit this year. And your team hero plays for the Vikes.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Great play. Gotta love when the D bails out their porous coverage and shitty tackling with a sweet turnover. Not sure what Turd Collins can do from the 1 though...

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

This is unsatisfactory gents. See ya.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

We are who I thought we were. A 1-2 team masquerading as 3-0.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

We are being exposed. My koolaid tastes like shit.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I think that's the funniest thing I've ever heard! And the sentiment is unfortunately too correct.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

if we lose I blame Bears Management for not getting us the two gaurds and watching our QB make bad moves because he is running for his life. right now we need to take the gun to "Ol Yeller" goodnight ladies and gents!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Stick a fork in the Bears. O-line and receivers still killing us. Nice play from the D mostly. What a downer.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

I LOVE WATCHING THAT STOOOOPID LOOK ON LOVIE'S FACE!!! GET READY FOR A LONG SEASON!!TSE TSETSE TSE TSETSE TSE TSE

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

you too, Packers embarassed themselves today and lost Burnett and the Middle Linebacker in the process. you're done.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Bad as we are we beat your asses ... how about *them* apples ?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

    We got manhandled tonight boys.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

well....hell of a wake-up call fellas. need the numbers to all the o-lineman available

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

*Really* wish we'd made a move for Rosenfels now ...

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Hanie go get a helmet, it's your turn to die.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

    This so, so bad.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

UH OH . . WHO'S YOR NEXT QB - DESMOND CLARK! BAHHHHHHHHH BAAAHHHHHHAHAHAH

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

FUCK ME!!!!!!!! put LDL's fucking ass out and have it get hit into next week..you look at that Jumbotron once more and I will just want to beat your ass

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

I'm not sure we have enogh QBs to make it out of this game alive

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

OH NO , THATS RIGHT HE'S YOUR BACKUP LONGSNAPPER. THAT WHO YOU ARE!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

There's usually an inverse relationship between the number of capital letters in a sentence and the intelligence of the person writing it. Thanks for not disproving the rule.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

    +1

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

For fuck's sake, send 9 guys on a rush and at least get one crunching hit in on Eli Manning.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Did I read that right we have been sacked 10 TIMES!!!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

    It was the pink.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Pink and night time games ...

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Can I say something? Look at our schedule. If we can't find a run game, a pass rush, and some tackling, we lose the last 8 straight.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Time to trade for some guards and Tommie Harris you are done.

Night guys, at least our Defense tried to keep us in games.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

time to regroup and rework the gameplan. let's let the dust settle, realize we don't live in Green Bay, breathe a sigh of relief and then address what happened this evening sometime over the next couple of days. if Jay is fucked we're fucked but maybe he just needs a couple days off.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Can we trade Collins and Tommie Harris for Tim Tebow?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

PATHETIC! FUCKING PATHETIC! IM SO EMBARRASSED!

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    That was fugly. Goodnight folks.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

It's Jeff's fault. He never should have used a Biblical picture for the game day thread. Please don't ever do that again.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Oh Jesus, give it a rest!

(Did you see what I did there?)

  • In reply to gpldan:

There will be no rest for you GP. See how I did that?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

So who is less saved? Me and my soul, or Lovie and his job?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

No quarterback, unless you run the ball all the time, should only be able to attempt 11 passes in only the 1 and 2 quarter.

Have we said how bad the o-line has played tonight?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    You're joking, right?

  • In reply to Shady:

What, I believe in God and no longer have a sense of humor. You're joking right.

  • In reply to Shady:

Sick, disappointing game. Defense showed up big time, offense crapped the bed. I don't remember a worse offensive game. Jay, if he's still among the living, needs major work on his internal clock. Don't think Martz did him any favors tonight and never seemed to make the adjustments he made in the previous games. There was a guy playing on the line tonight whose name I didn't even recognize.

Throw this one away and start working on a game plan to beat the Panthers. Let's cut way down on the 7 step drops, shall we? This is a really bad offensive line (just felt like stating the overwhelmingly obvious there).

    Go bears?

  • In reply to PhilfromSATX:

Edwin Williams started tonight, I think, they just put him I guess.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I am tired of seeing Tommie Harris get knocked to the ground. Trade him for whatever we can get or just bench him. Besides him, the miss tackles, and not intercepting the ball when it was in our hands killed our D. The D was good but it could have played way better.

I hope Jay Jay can come back, I hope we can block next week, and I hope Jay can make quicker decisions. I don't think anyone starting on our o-line played well, I also, hate the fact we got fat-ass tight end who can't do what we all hoped he would do. BLOCK. He sucks and was a waste of money. We all started to believe, we all started to see the light, and now we are in the same boat as last year. 3-1.

Lovie, Tice, Martz, start asking someone to trade away some picks to block for Jay, if you all want a job next year. Thanks

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Wow..sleep tight and don't let those 10 bed bugs bite..oh shiete..too late.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Let er rip MB. Your compilation should be done just about now.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

trac...I thinks that the vein on MB's forehead exploded and he is got a concussion just like our 1st,2nd and 3rd string QB...

who's next Double Deuce as QB...they asked him to QB and FU@!#$!@$K NO! I don't want to die tonight

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

That's what I was thinking lol but hey, I think God works on bigger things than a Bear's game. Just .02's on that .

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

It's just a picture 85. Nothing more nothing less. But I do believe the latter part or your comment is spot on.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

to Irish and all Da Bears Bloggers..this is how it went for us tonight:

    OUch

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

B85S23...and it's going to leave a mark too!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

OK Blogfather, are you still disagreeing with my theory about the most desperate team winning, and that this was a trap game, and why I felt so nervous about this game against the Giants? I'm just asking, because I watched my beloved Bears take it in the poop shoot tonight and can't understand how they couldn't see coming what I could. I'll continue to post this one until I get an answer.

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I was expecting this one, Lobo !

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHsx1cvACkY

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Tice has quite a bit to answer for. It was one thing to have Omlette over at left when Williams went down. But tonight they had to pull Lance Louis out and put a guy who was on the practice squad 2 weeks ago out there to try and stop the bleeding. Manofmoolah isn't helping either.

We're talking about 6 guys who can't create a solid pocket against 4-5 guys rushing in. The Giants put more swim moves in that Michael Phelps in the Olympics. They were brushing aside the guards like an adult brushes aside a hobo. Just sidestepping them.

Maybe it was the field, or whatever. That was worse than Dallas 1st Quarter and it lasted every quarter.

Guys are scheming the Bears. They saw what Dallas did, and they saw all they had to do was do that, and just be ready for the 3-step as a counter punch.

Horrible. The OL got two QBs killed. Unspeakable.

  • In reply to gpldan:

GP.."We Are all Set"...that is out mantra and it may have also been the captain of the Titanic's also..

time to re-group and think about the panthers..sheite that is going to be one hell of a long flight back to Chi-town tonight.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Tice doesn't have shit to answer for because our line sucks. Coughman saw what every other team will see as they sift through the film every week. A sucky o-line. Also, Cutler lost it way before the supposed concussion. We suck, it's official. A good team could never field an offense this bad.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I put most of that on Martz. No runs. Long drop backs. Cutler really shits the bed in night games.

  • In reply to gpldan:

    For the O-Line:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxbbUUdOmzM

  • In reply to gpldan:

SO........ DO YOU STILL GET OFF THE BUS RUNNIN???

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Hey FUCKDODGERS..almost got beaten by the Lions Huh?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

brutal comment, i'm going to bed, you're a fag, now we have the same record as the packers. unfortunately you are down a game to us in the division...ooops!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Where's Fred Miller when you need him? Is John St. Clair still around?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

SO..... I'M THE DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR FOR ANY OTHER TEAM... HMMMM... OH I KNOW - BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ, --- UN OH YOR SMOKE AND MIRRORS SEASON JUST ENDED --TSE TSE TSE TSESTE... GO PACK GO!!!!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

but that's what you guys did and you lost to us. correct?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

    Tsk, tsk.

    Pay attention, little guy.

YELLING doesn't make you any righter OR any more intelligent so just take your 2-digit I.Q. back to the Cheeseland blog where it's considered "high" .

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

When Theishole, Sharpe and Baldinger picked us to win that was the kiss of death. This is probably why the Bears didn't sign Martz quickly - they were scared of his mentality. You can't pass it on every down, you just can't tip off the defense like that, especially when you can't block. I'm surprised Cutler went three games without a concussion, it was just a matter of time really. And Girly Thor .. Frank Omelette .. you are who I thought you were ... nice try girls.

J'Marcus Webb - LT. Shaffer - RT Edwin - LG. Kreutz. Louis - RG. Get us a FB or somebody who's 240+ and can pound it. And do it quickly.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Yeah, Irish. I posted misgivings yesterday about the Sharpe-Theismann-Baldy "curse".

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Did you say "Fullback", Irish?

"Fullback? We don' need no STEENKIN' fullbacks."

Lovie wouldn't know a good fullback if one ran over him.

Remember Lousaka Polite, who was sent packing by Lovie about 2 seasons ago and who now contributes regularly and positively for the Dolphins?

    6 feet - 246 pounds.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Shaffer was as bad or worse as anyone else and our interior line looked like ass. Omiyale and the false starts were ridiculous.
HOWEVER, J-Cut was holding the ball way, way, way, way too long from the first series to when he got dropped like a sack of potatos. That is an ugly combination.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Like someone else mentioned earlier, I have to imagine he got concussed earlier in the game.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I must concur with Dr. Posse's diagnosis.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

What really stood out to me was when he started running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage without tossing the ball away. One started to wonder where the hell he thought he was.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

What really stood out to me was when he started running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage without tossing the ball away. One started to wonder where the hell he thought he was.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Never thought of that. He could have been out of it after like the second hit ...

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

    Positives:
    1) More elbow room....LOTS more elbow room on the bandwagon.
    2) We're still 2-0 in the division.
    3) The Giants still wear jerseys they stole from a Peewee team.
    4) Todd Collins looked as shitty as Jay did, so it's not all Jay's fault.
4b) Tom Coughlin looked just as confused at the end of the game as he did at kick-off. Seriously, he looks like he wandered away from his home in the middle of the night. What is wrong with him? I thought Lovie looked lost - Tom looks like he's off his meds.
    5) I don't have to listen to Chris Collinsworth and Al Michaels for at least 6 days.
    6) The D looked phenomenal for 3 1/3 quarters in spite of absolutely no help whatsoever in field position or scoring pressure from the other two phases.
    7) They can't play any worse.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Careful what you say on #7, Posse.

"People told me, 'Smile, things could be worse.'
So, I smiled and, sure enough, things got worse."
    - Pvt. Rodriguez from THE D.I.
THE best "boot camp" movie ever made and I include FULL METAL JACKET and THE BOYS IN COMPANY C.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Then how did your D Coordinator manage to fuck it up and lose?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

    Ohhh look who's here?

Why it's that Magician, Aaron Rodgers.

I say "magician" because he absolutely DISAPPEARED in the 2nd half today.

    At HOME.

    Against the VAUNTED DETROIT LIONS!

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

i'm still confused why you are on this blog right now Rodgers. you must be one lonely dude. your game was at noon. honestly, if you don't have anything else going on in your life i guess that is ok but it is kind of weird having you on here. It smacks of sadness. You are the only packer fan on here right now. Even i wish you could get laid, that's how bad i feel for you. just kill yourself now, you know you've toyed with the idea. no one would mind if you were gone, not even your family who can't stand you

  • In reply to hollywood1:

I guess his sister fell asleep drunk so there's no sex on the cards tonight.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

"OK, folks, move along please. Nothing to see here. Just keep moving, thank you."

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

But daddy I like to watch the car accident...

  • In reply to nicholsra:

Lobo, I have to think this is actually closer to a train wreck.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

More like a train coming off the tracks of a bridge and hitting the Hindenburgh mid-air and all of it crashing down on top of the Titanic.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

This game reminds me of the Monday Night game in SF last year.

  • In reply to Shady:

Not me, I don't know if I have ever seen such an anemic attempt at offense as a Bears fan for over 30 yrs. Ever.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

Wow, a qb that cn actually throw.

  • In reply to czheng:

    step 1 complete

  • In reply to czheng:

    Luck is good.

  • In reply to czheng:

    LETSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to czheng:

    Hanie please.

  • In reply to czheng:

    8-Ball !! You da man A.A.!

  • In reply to czheng:

Awesome D. Way to get back there AA. Way to land on that Harris.

  • In reply to czheng:

No way can Hanie be anywhere near as bad as Collins.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Isnt he injured or inactive?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

If this game finishes as the debacle that I think it will, at least it'll be one more nail in Lovie's coffin.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    I smell I fumble recovery for a TD or a pick 6.

  • In reply to czheng:

Get chester taylor in there to run the ball hard and break some tackles please!!!

  • In reply to czheng:

Did anyone on our team play QB in high school?

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

This is painful to watch, very very painful.

  • In reply to MrARodgers:

And why???? Manning has just got done defending on a 90 yard drive, Hester has been on the bench for 10 minutes, and you put Manning on KR?

What kind of retards are coaching this team?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

ope, Earl Bennett just messed up with a holding call. Lovie has to bench him for 2 games now.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

Yeah no shit. I like the accountability thing but let's not get stupid.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

I don't know if it's the diabetes + night...but he SUCKS at night, and it has nothing to do with pressure (see Dallas/GB games). I seriously think it's something physical, like diabetes. BUT we have a good D and good SP, so we must cover his ass...god knows he covers our ass when our Oline and everything else breaks down.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

If Martz is a motherfucking genius, now is the time to show it.

GOD DAMN that was the worst thing I saw since Steve Grogan was brutalized by the 85 Bears.

We have to come out in the gun with Collins, mixing in the I-formation and push the run. Cutler has mentally hung it up.

Everyone except Kreutz on the O-Line may as well pull their pants down and shit in front everyone. It would be less embarrassing. Lance Louis, Garza, Omlette, Shaeffer. All of them.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Nice blast from the past - Steve Grogan! Hah, it does sort of seem like one of those 85 Bears highlight films tonight. Just need that NFL films announcer and some dramatic music.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

    Cutler looks TERRIBLE!!

  • In reply to Dustflo:

    Laugh, d-bags. Bears will win

  • In reply to Dustflo:

    Now what?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

nothing worse than a holding penalty on a punt return

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Maybe we should kneel down the rest of the half and just start fresh in the 2nd

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    THIS IS ONE UGLY MOTHERFUCKER.

WE are LUCKY it's only 3-0.

We can't run the ball, and we can't protect. Our only hope is Devin, screen passes, and an inept Giants team.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Laugh, Collinsworth. We deserve it.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Holy shit a 1st down and we double our yards for the half.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Well, we just tripled our o for the half...

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Is Cutler blind? Seriously, I'm not joking.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

What the fuck is Mike Martz doing? The Giants can't stop the run and he insists on the throwing the ball on *every* play?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Omelet is UNBELIEVABLY BAD

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Webb needs to go in at LT. Lets see how much they 'adjust' this game. We can run the ball against the Giants, sure as hell can't pass it. Olsen and Omelette need to get benched if Lovie is serious about accountability. I don't think he is, he was just using Shabba and Harris as scapegoats. The clown car continues to go beep beep.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    +all

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Todd Collins - HELLO

    Concussion obviously.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I had no plan to be hammered during this game...now I am. Let's pull out a win SOMEHOW.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

IF we can win in 06 with Rex, we can win now with Cutler.

    BEAR DOWN!

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    Peppers is everywhere

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Worst half I've ever seen in my life. And if we don't win this game...

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    22 TOTAL YARDS BAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAABAHHHHAAA
    BAAAAAHAAAAAABAHHHH

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Taylor looks a little spunky. Give it to him. Every play if we have too.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Seriously, Cutler looks like he's done. He's pouting on the sideline, pouting on the field, and not really putting in much effort from what I can tell. He's not paying attention, and he's going to get himself or someone else hurt. Might need to bring in Collins, or Hanie, or someone. Run some fricking wildcat, I don't know.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Let me tell you, it pissed me off as a fan to see his little tantrum there. Not a leader in my book. That's what a brat does, not what a winner does.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I felt this coming on from the first serious. Horrible, truly horrible.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    Ok D. Bears Ball.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    We need Todd Collins.

    NOW

  • In reply to gpldan:

abosolutely fucking not. give me a break

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Cutler is fucked over, maybe he's high.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Well....WELLL.....good defense..special teams... Cutler has missed Bennett twice...wide open. Better make one hell of an adjustment at halftime Martz. Jay when a guy is open.,throw the ball to him.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

I really hope the blogfather is absolutely hammered while enduring this.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Anyone know how to stream this game?

  • In reply to gpldan:

    FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    Aha! There's Peppers!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    call me Julius Peppers SON!!

  • In reply to deemoney23:

    GHOST

  • In reply to deemoney23:

Wow. Olsen and Omiyale are killing us. And we're *still* covering the spread.

  • In reply to deemoney23:

And Hurtlacher recovers. He has been everywhere this season. Over the hill? Fuck that.

  • In reply to Dustflo:

time for some quick hitting routes to get Cutler in the mix.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

The Offensive line has been pathetic.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Ok, roll out, sweeps, pitchouts draws. Do not drop back to pass another ball until you get your act together.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Cutler just does not have it tonight.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

manu manu shit the bed on that one. c'mon brandon

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Cutler looks lost. We're making the Giants look like Super Bowl champs again.

Tally: Opponents, 12 sacks. Bears, 3.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Where the eff is Dez Clark and Kellen Davis. Lovie needs to hold the TE's accountable.

  • ironically, Greg's shitty block on a planned roll out may have cost us our QB

  • Greg Olsen, wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  • This looks very similar to our preseason games. Olsen sucks at blocking. We finally got a sack. Ooohraaah.

  • Opponents, 11 sacks. Bears, 3.

  • Israel parts the O-line

  • Great job D. O you can't keep doing this to the D

  • Lovie cant be blamed for this crap. Its the players on the field.

  • *me

  • Did you watch Cutler at all last year? ;)

  • it's not mental.

  • The only think that would be worse would be an injury.

  • whoaaaaaaa cutty still in the locker room?!?!

  • Good job D. Good job Jennings again. Seriously run the ball 3 times. Let's see what happens.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

"Turner's calling plays" says my son. Looks about right.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

The Giants will open the throttle and finish the job.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

We're now seeing why Mike Martz's offense hasn't won in ten years.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Lance Louis is out by the way.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Cutler out, concussion. Those clamoring for Collins, let's see whayt he's got.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Concussion my ass. He blew a gasket in the locker room and got a time out.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Either way he is out. Our hopes lie with Todd Collins.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Back to the old days, we need the D to win it for us.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Corey Graham has done a pretty damn good job on punt coverage tonight.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Apparently the Giants can defend the run

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Bears couldn't run on 11 of us commenters.

  • Oh... so accountability extends to the QB too? Good.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Oh. and mebbe tey're listening, Irish

  • i knew something was wrong with Cutler. he looked like he was high as shit on the sidelines. didn't come out of the locker room at halftime

  • Concussion. Hat tip to all you guys who had a medical angle.

  • Todd Collins is in? Wow. Lovie had better bench Omelete and Olsen then. I hope Collins is only in to hand it off ...

  • Ain't no such thing missy.

  • Pretty sure he's mentally checked out of the game right now.

  • Todd Collins may not be a bad choice right now. I agree with a previous post, and think it's a concussion. Dink and Dunk it, and let our D get a turnover and our SP teams go to work.

Winning ugly is still better than losing beautifully. Just ask the Giants.

  • WHY aren't they running screen passes?!

  • And game over

  • We just need a FG and a Safety. Bright side.

  • Next season's draft? OL, OL, OL, OL, OL, OL, OL

I would literally spend EVERY pick on offensive line. This team has five guys they need to replace within the next two years.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    Amen brotha.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Well this wasn't the adjustment I had in mind..,but we'll see what we can do. What happens if Collins gets hurt? Don't have anyone else at the game do we?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Anyone else notice Forte can't break a tackle?

  • In reply to Mastodon:

EVERY BEARS FAN in the world knew that run call would get stuffed for nothing.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Just because Cutler's not in the game doesn't mean we're suddenly built to run the ball.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    Wow

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Martz is being horrifically outcoached. Looks like Ron Turner tonight, and you all know how much that pains ME.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Every Bears fan in the world could tell that it was going to be a run to the right, with the way that Olsen cheated over to that side.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Why the Bears do not know the QB sneak has always been a mystery to me. That on a quick count would have been a trivial first down.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Nice tackle Bowman saving a 1st down

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

um...nice spot. even the giants knew they didn't have the first down and the result was a delay of game.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Originally I was going to say that this is the game where we can establish ourselves as an elite team by not just beating but destroying a bad team. Cutler is hurt and our D has shown that they are the best in the business right now,

Offensively... this is the game where one of about 8 guys can step up and prove why he is the star the Bears were looking for on offense. I'm looking right at you Taylor, Forte, Olsen, all 5 recievers. Let's see something from someone. Forte was a beast two years ago without much of a line. Shaba, Hester, Bennett, this is the time to prove that you are the future #1 reciever on this team.

This can be anyone's night. Someone take it!

  • In reply to mottystone:

D is nowhere near the best. Can't get to the QB. Can't cover. And apparently can't tackle anymore.

  • In reply to czheng:

This is still a 15th to 20th ranked defense over the course of a year.

  • In reply to czheng:

    Get hester on KR, NOW!

  • In reply to mottystone:

Can't ask the D to be on the field the whole game. SUCKS

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    Yep. MArtz has nothing tonight.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

I'm done...seriously...I might be done. How can it be this bad? 0 points, who's to blame?

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

Does anyone really think Cutler has a concussion? How come he didn't come out with the team after halftime? Orton, Orton, where art thou?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    I'd even take Brian Griese.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

He probably does have a concussion. His head hit the turf pretty damn hard on that play. Even if not, after 9 sacks he is what they usta' call "shell shocked", now know as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Right now he's probably not sure what state he's in.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I think its sad that Collins might actually throw a worse game than Cutler when Cutler was obviously having some serious health problems. Maybe we should put him back in the game with a freaking wheel chair.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

D gets it done. Kick it Hester.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Bears are soooo asleep.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

    Harris, brutal

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

i think tommie harris falls down on every play

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

That's all she wrote girls. Game over unless we can pass the ball.

  • In reply to westcoastbear:

Looks like NY's offense heard my speech.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

The bears are gonna try to win the game with their D, field position, and SP teams. Whomever gives up the first TD is gonna win the game, the only question is, do u trust our D or theirs?

  • In reply to KissMyButkus:

    td scored....

  • In reply to windypack:

hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

    +5

  • In reply to Mastodon:

Ok, if its all been luck so far, I'll take it. Luck is good. Time to get lucky.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

It's games like these that remind me to pull all Bears players on my Fanstasy Leagues.

  • In reply to Mastodon:

We absolutely have the tools to score ten points in the fourh quarter. Martz needs to dial something special up to wake up the skill players and we can do this. Bear Down!

  • In reply to Mastodon:

the front four are puttin pressure on our QB, why not throw screens, why not use draws, why not split the TE thru the middle?

    Martz HUBRIS.

BUt, if we live by the sword, we die by the sword.

  • D is bringing it. Peppers is all world

  • Julius Peppers vs. the New York Giants ladies and gentleman.

  • The holding on Izzy was absurd on that play.

  • They said that the concussion most likely came on the next-to-last play of the half, so that doesn't explain the terrible performance by Cutler. I'd say it's 50% protection and 50% Cutler not able to adjust.

  • We're still gonna win. Mark it now. We're down, we have no O, and we have our Backup QB - we can't run, and we can't pass protect, but we're still gonna win. Take it to the bank.

    P.S. I'm not an optimist.

  • No I think grossed describes this game pefectly.

  • Pants on the ground?

    Pants on the ground.

Lookin' like a fool. With your pants.

    On the ground.

  • I can't remember seeing an offense as bad as that. That was worse than pathetic. I'm going to find a dog to kick. And I'm not joking.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I needed that Irish. At least we have each other. ha ha ha.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Irish....don't kick the dog I think the man who said "We All Set" is the one we should be kicking the living Sheite! out of right now!

  • In reply to nicholsra:

I'll compromise. I'll pretend the dog is Angelo, and give it a boot for every pick he wasted. "Here boy .... heeeere boy ..."

  • In reply to nicholsra:

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I think at this time the D should just go in and beat the living life out of the offense with hickory sticks!

  • THe Eagles will be tendering an offer for Garcia tomorrow morning. And he will go there - who the fuck would come here? It's suicide.

  • o and did i forget to mention, FUCKING PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!pathetic!

  • Put another clause in your pre-nup. No hankie-pankie when the Bears play this bad.

  • In reply to gpldan:

GP...I saw how you did that..lol

  • In reply to gpldan:

Cutler looked like he got his concussion way before the end of the half. there was a shot of him on the sideline and he looked like he was fucking hammered.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

yup. I said the same thing.

  • Complete disaster. That is all.

  • i'm not worried about the loss. i'm worried about our QB. Hanie must start instead of Collins if Jay can't go.

  • Good night only lady on the blog! Try to imagine what a good offensive line looks like in your dreams.

  • Putrid.

  • If you read what we were saying about you Chris Williams, we're really sorry and miss you very much.

Is McNeil signed yet? If I was the ownership watching that game and Cutler very close to having his career ended with the way they treat concussions now ... I'd be reaching for my massive cheque book right about now ... and I'd be writing one for Vincent Jackson too.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I believe Mr. McNeil caved in andended up getting way less than the Chargers'tender offer.

  • Yes it was ugly. Yes we were took to the woodshed. Ouch! But by who the Giants. Please forgive me for not freaking out. Peppers and the defense did the damn thing and played lights out until exhaustion caught up with them.

Jay was hurt somewhere in the first quarter and things just went off the rails. It's one game though. Let's get some sleep and take a deep breath.

A win next week and tonight is a wash. Jay will get the ball out or get killed. So I have to believe we won't see much more of this shit from tonight this season.

3-1 is 3-1 with all wins coming in the conference and 2 in the division. The Cowgirls will beat the Giants and we beat the Cowgirls. The Slackers will beat the Giants. We will beat the Panthers and things will be a wash in the end.

With NO losing we are still good. It's one game and one loss. WE ARE STILL GOOD!!!! So fuck that, Bear DOWN!!!!

  • In reply to Ickesgrad:

The Colts kicked the shit out of the Giants. The Jags beat the Colts. Where does that leave us? After watching that bloodbath there is just nothing good to take out of the performance. One more concussion for Cutler and he could be put on IR - which is *very* likely seeing the pathetic blocking he's getting. I've seen enough of Todd Collins thanks. We really have to concentrate on correct gameplans to finish off the Packers and Queens that somehow limit damage to Cutler, utilising pissy receivers and no O-line to speak of. What a difference a week makes ...

  • Hold the front page. What happened to our #1 run defense? They crapped themselves too.

Ahmed Bradshaw - 23 rushes 129 yds and a TD
Brandon Jacobs - 6 rushes 62 yds and a TD

Can't stop the run now either ...

  • The Good

    1) I don't think anyone was execting us to finish 16-0; 3-1 pace translates to a 12-4 finish which gets you to the post every time.
    2) We still have a nice soft schedule for the next four weeks plus a bye.
    3) Our D still proved tonight that its got the juice. How many teams would have lost by 30 points tonight?
    4) We know we've got a weak line... games like this will be important in June when someone in the back office wants to take a running back in the first round. Because they don't know until someone misses a block and the QB's helmet actually hits Lovie in the mouth on its way into the stands.

    The Bad

    1) The O-line, which we probably can't fix this year. When can we expect Williams back?
    2) Matt Forte, dude hasn't done anything as a true RB this year. Granted, he's got no line and no coordinator dialing anything special, but he needs to show that spark he had in his rookie season again.
    3) Dez Clark - the man who did not dress tonight shows the trouble our team has with blocking... four tight ends and nobody can protect the QB. No full back, except we use the position as an excuse to dress another tight end... but tonight the full back is simply missing. We could have used a full back after we lost our gunslinger.
    4) Lovie Smith and Mike Martz - This is where we will start to see disagreement. Miuke will want to stick with his short passing game. Lovie will want to be a "run-first team." No matter who wins these fights, when the coaches are not in synch, the players lose.

    The Ugly
    1) No Jay is a scary prospect. He was the only one to really understand Martz's system and the his arm has become our biggest offensive assett.
    2) Tommie Harris. He's still great trade bait, but the more he plays like crap, the less we can get for him.
    3) Bears fans who left early. This is one game against a former superbowl MVP (who got shut down till the 4th btw). We are still #1 in the NFC North. Knock off the fair weather fan syndrome and bear the hell down. Bring on Carolina.

  • In reply to mottystone:

    Carolina makes me nervous..

  • In reply to Church:

Steve Smith has what looks to be a high ankle sprain if that make anyone feel any better.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

It shouldn't because And the Giants were missing Mathias Kiwanuka.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    phrozen is such a phuckwad.

  • In reply to Church:

    Injuries from Sunday.

    http://blogs.nfl.com/2010/10/03/injury-roundup-eagles-lose-vick-samuel/?module=HP_headlines

  • In reply to Church:

This shit is actually pathetic, but entertaining non the less. You tellin me you fags all stay on line and watch the game together? OMFG! And all the shit I read about you dissin the beloved Pack for the Lion win. We won one we were supposed to. We are the superior team in the North. The Bores proved that they are only taken seriously in their fans minds. Now you get an extremely soft part in the schedule so you can lube up, and go fuck yourself. You will lose next week too, by the way. Go Pack GO!

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

Detroit lost because of penalties.. Isn't that how you said we won? Because you had 18 and Detroit had 12.. umm.. Please go come up with better stuff.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

That was an unacceptable excuse according to your side, so the stuff of which you refer to is your own brand of B.S., Superdouche. The Bores, however were exposed for the pedestrian team they are.

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Superdouche, according to this blog, that is an unacceptable excuse. We won because we are a superior team. We lost to the Bores because we could not beat two teams, at least not that night. Last night the Bores were exposed for the pedestrian team they are. Already, Bore fans are jumping ship. The hit in the head will bring poor little Gay Cuntler back to earth. Have a great Monday, losers.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

We present phrozentundra:The sound of one hand clapping.

Yeah, we call that jackin off, enjoy

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Diabetes. People with diabetes are at higher risk for night vision problems. Over years, high blood sugar is toxic to the blood vessels and nerves in the eye. The retina -- the back of the eye where images are focused -- is gradually damaged (retinopathy). Two early signs of retinopathy from diabetes are poor night vision and taking a long time to see normally after coming indoors from bright light outside.
Picked this up from WEB MD. Something was obviously wrong with Cutler. This O Line stinks. Omiyalle is just horrible. Tommie Harris is done. Release the poor guy instead of making us look at him floundering on the ground and embarassing himself. Bring in every free agent lineman and try them out. Theres got to be better ones out there.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Thank you Murph, someone else finally saw what I saw in Tommie last night..

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Hahaha.. Oh Tommie. Stop looking like an overfed park bench and get the fck up off the ground!

  • In reply to Bears85Sweetness23:

Tundra and his posse can be found on http://lolwigger.com/

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

Honestly, the last time I saw something remotely close to this up here in the beautiful north woods of the superior state, it was dressed in orange and came out of a fib-mobile. What's worse? Being retarded enough to dress like that or actually knowing a site like that exists? Is that like a fashion guide for you Irish, or is that what you were used to eating in prison?

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

The Bears record fell to 3-1 last night and the sun still came out this morning. The world did not end.

Here's to a speedy recovery for Jay and a victory in Carolina this weekend. We still rule the roost at the top of the NFC North. If Detroit can play that well against Minny then they will beat them at least once. We will beat the Vikes at least once and you know the last GB game will be a fucking dogfight. I say we still go to the playoffs based on winning the North. Suck on that Pack, it hurts to lose within your division.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

actually as a true fan of football, i have no problem with the Packers, just their gay ass fanboys that come on an opposing teams blog just to act like homos.

Guys like Phrozen Tundra will call Jay a gay little Cuntler. I would love to see him call that to his face. 6'3 235 pro football player. Phrozen tundra is probably 5'10 173lb doormat that flexes his internet muscles in the blog world.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

yeah, yeah, and and my dad can lick your mom. But then again, everyone did.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

That was a beatdown of Biblical proportions.

  • In reply to phrozentundra:

What is "actually pathetic" is that after last week's Packer loss to The Bears, Packer trolls, "The Cheese Stooges", came up with one post and then scattered for cover like cockroaches when the lights go on.

  • In reply to mottystone:

No O-line, no running, nothing...no team. Teleport me to 2011/2012...right now!

  • In reply to mottystone:

MB must have had a stroke. He was probably just barely alive until he saw Olsen throw a Garret Wolfe daisycutter block at the feet of the guy that absolutely poleaxed Cutler from the blindside. How does Cutler go out drinking with a guy who blocks his blindside like that?

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

I said the same thing during the game.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

That shit was so.... fucking.... weak.

  • In reply to mottystone:

    This just in ....
    =================
The world of football is in shock tonight after it was revealed that the Chicago Bears team was murdered in cold blood at the Meadowlands, NJ. Coach Lovie Smith said that the attackers were seen coming, but that nothing could be done to stop them. The police have asked for witnesses to come forward who may have seen 53 predominantly large, black men leaving the stadium grounds in Cadillac Escalades, Porsches, Ferraris and Mercedes SLKs. President Obama spoke out on the issue of quarterback defence and has passed his condolences to the people of Chicago. In a moving speech on local radio stations, he reminded them that they still had a basketball and two baseball teams, and pointed to their recent success as reigning national ice hockey champions. The Chicago Bears were 88.

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

The Bears were Moe Green to the Giants Michael Corleone.

  • In reply to gpldan:

Close, GP, but They toyed with them first.
I think it was closer to "Carlo" than "Moe".

  • In reply to IrishBearsFan:

    LMAO!!!!!!! Ok.

  • In reply to mottystone:

Excellent and well put. This was exactly my attitude last night and I thought it would change this morning but it didn't good to know there are some other clear thinkers out there. It's one bad game. All be it a really bad game but I can live with 12-4.

    Bear Down!
