  • We better bring some wood or we will go silently into the night!

  • As said on the previous thread by trac...

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-0821-bears-watch-chicago--20100820,0,7530656.story

    lets give an overview:

    1. "but the offensive line is where the focus should be."....... Holy Crap..REALLY!!!??? Is this a question from "Are you smarter than a fifth grader"?

    2. "But they have to run block better for Matt Forte and Chester Taylor than they did last week."......what you don't like 2.5 yards average?

    3. "Some players on the fringe on the defensive line need to step up. Angelo mentioned Jarron Gilbert on Thursday, and while Henry Melton has been praised, he needs more production. Tackle Matt Toeaina has received plenty of chances in training camp and must produce to ensure a spot......may attitude is the whole FU!@$#!@$NG defense is on the fringe.........Gladiators "GO OUT AND HIT SOMEONE" stop the damn Loviefest.. Tony Dungy crap..kumbuya and get PISSED OFF!! rather than pissed on! Please Bears show me some life left in those carcasses you call bodies and through a bone to us fans!!

  • Mike Tice can only do so much with what he's been given Jeff. Like Lobo's article above says, it's really Angelo's win/failure. And by it's, I mean pretty much every personnel decision. The guy is just brutal. Moron.

    Lobo. You are back.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I'm back baby.... and ready to fire up the season "no holds barred" on "Bears Management"

  • In reply to nicholsra:

At what point do you hammer down Lobo? I'm kinda thinking right about here!!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

When are those 'Bring me the head of Jerry Angelo' T-shirts gonna be ready?

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Irish - i was wondering how you felt about:
    1. Chris Williams getting owned all night
    2. Haters eating crow
    3. Izzy as a starter
    4. Cutlers footwork

  • In reply to hollywood1:

Jeez, Johnny, I already posted it like ten times ... I'll do a recap of those topics in triplicate after the Raiders are finished kicking our ass.

Manu is making his debut tonight, wasted pick-up my arse! Dudes gonna pancake mofo's...protect Cutty Snaps.

  • In reply to Joseph:

Manu is one huge slab of Samoan Pork like that dude from "Necessary Roughness".

  • In reply to Joseph:

    Sinbad owned that movie.

  • In reply to Crowned:

yeah he did. What an allstar cast:

    Scott Bakula
    Sinbad
    Jason Bateman
    Kathy Ireland
    Brandon Manumaleuna
The black dude from the Heat, Allstate commercials, president in 24 and Jonas from "The Unit"
    Larry Miller
    Robert Loggia
    Hector Elizondo
    SENATOR FRED FUCKING THOMPSON??!!???!!!??!!??!?
    Rob Schneider
    Roger Craig
    Jerry Rice
    Earl Campbell
    Dick Butkus
    Tony Dorsett
    Ed "too tall" Jones
    Herschel Walker
    Randy White
    Jim Kelly
    Chris Berman
    Evander Holyfield.

Gotta love shitty sports movies from the mid 90's...

  • In reply to hollywood1:

is that the "R as in Robert Loggia" Robert Loggia or the "O as in Oh My God...it's Robert Loggia" Robbert Loggia?

  • In reply to FQD1911:

no one proclaims the words, "my god!", quite like Robert Loggia.

  • In reply to Crowned:

Remember folks, tonight is a PRESEASON game and doesn't count for JACK. This game against the Raiders is going to get ugly about halfway through the 2nd quarter. These games are such a waste of time because they have absolutely no bearing on how the team will perform during the regular season. That being said, there is no way I'm missing the game tonight, I just won't care who wins.

  • In reply to Crowned:

Every time I read these I somehow feel like I'm reading from a Zoltar machine on Coney Island.

  • In reply to Joseph:

joe, Manu is awesome. he was owning dudes tonight.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

I sure hope you are right Joseph.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Wow, that guy is such a soft puss that I bet his GF kicked his ass. What a douche.

It's parody time. And my first victim is..........

  • LDL..that night after we lost to his circlejerk buddy Tony Dungy

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DodEQqJoGog&feature=related

  • SD..what worries me and shows me how pathetic this "Bears Management" and Coaching Staff" are is this quote:

"This is five years I've been going through it, so I don't think it's going to change," said the always affable 27-year-old from Corsicana, Texas, by way of Abilene Christian. "It's almost normal, so I just try to make the best of it."

Who has been the Coach for the past five years? LIMP DICK LOVIE.....Our Gladiators are like a five year old with one hand on the third rail and the other waving to the bright light that is less than 10 yards away coming right at him.

  • Hey look what I found in the dictionary next to LDL's pic....

    IDIOT-
c.1300, "person so mentally deficient as to be incapable of ordinary reasoning," from O.Fr. idiote "uneducated or ignorant person," from L. idiota "ordinary person, layman," in L.L. "uneducated or ignorant person," from Gk. idiotes "layman, person lacking professional skill," lit. "private person," used patronizingly for "ignorant person," from idios "one's own"

  • Read it all SD. But hey, we have Tice and Martz now.

  • for me win = everyone healthy. all else is irrelevant.

  • Good to have you back. Just trying to pass the time until the regular season. Nothing but postulating until then.

    you're welcome in advance =)

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    Always the gentleman FQ.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

wont play? downloaded software and still nothin

  • In reply to FQD1911:

this defense is in trouble.....what the hell....

  • In reply to FQD1911:

The Bears D looked suspect as hell on that drive. The secondary looked god awful. Peppers looked quite nice on a couple of run plays though

  • In reply to FQD1911:

I told you so. This is going to be a long year gents.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

wow i love how THE RAIDERS! just marched down the field on us, WTF is goin on! shit

    That O-Line looks improved!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Why did they take Urlacher out already?

  • In reply to Crowned:

calf injury that required 23 minutes of ice therapy. he will be banging whores from Schaumburg in less than 24 hours. it won't keep him out long.

  • In reply to Crowned:

    1985 Bears preseason scores.
    Cardinal 10, Bears 3
    Colts 24, Bears 13
    Cowboys 15, Bears 13
    Bears 45, Bills 14

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

i'm with you Trac and while i don't think we have the strength of the 85 D, i think we will do some good things that will give us the chance to get to the playoffs.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Two blocked punts in a row?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

no more blocked punts. Afalava and Iglesias letting guys own them is not cool. Bennett makes this team because i think Iglesias is a pussy and doesn't have the skill to hang with Bennett and certainly doesn't bring the special teams value. I'm absolutely correct so don't even contradict me.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Cable is an O-line coach. He knows exactly who is suspect on our O-line.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

bears look like shit! OLINE IS AWFUL!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

I just puked kool aid all over my tv.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

haha, isnt it funny how our defense still cant hold on third and long

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

Urlacher hurt again! He seems to have gotten soft as he's aged. Out with a calf injury.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

urlacher is over the hill, his time is comin to an end.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    Peppers down...........shit

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    He's up. Jesus

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    Up and on his feet....phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    Cousin Lewis is doin well.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

*And* the first team defense actually stopped a 3rd down!

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

And we were worried about the offense? The D looks terrible. Adios LDL.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

I'm leaving to play Madden. I don't have my patch on.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

    OK nevermind. PEANUT!!

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Wow, that play actually looked straight out of Madden. On easy mode.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

Peanut INT into Forte explosion are the plays of the game so far.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

    This defense is absolutely pathetic.

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

    Matt's back!

    Thanks for the links ...

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

Sorry about my comments... feed I was watching was delayed several minutes on the game clock. And when it caught up, I missed the only Bears plays of the game. :-(

  • In reply to JohnGalt:

I can already hear Lovie in the press conference after the game. We are a running team and I was glad to see Matt break one loose. Still have some issues to address in the passing game and overall I thought the defense showed some improvement. We still have alot of work to do but I think you all can see what this team is capable of.

    Yeah Lovie, we see.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    sound just like him haha

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Izzy be the man ....

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Bowman got beat a few plays back. Very bad coverage on that play.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Our receivers are having a hard time bringing in very accurate passes by Cutler.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Wow, the Raiders receiver dragged 4 Bears 5yds for a 1st down.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Pisa tried to rip the ball out and #fail, Zach Miller 1st down

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    td knox

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Williams got beat but Cutler kept the play alive with his feet.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

wtf? where was this shit the first quarter? wow....good shit. #BearDown

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Well that was awesome. Thank goodness Cutler can make plays while running for his life.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Have to give the D some credit, they've really showed up after letting the Raiders run loose at the beginning. I'm not entirely sure if the Raiders have kept all their starters in, but JP and the D-line has really started bringing the pressure.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

So glad we spent all of our offseason money filling our huge needs like making sure that we have 2 starting RB's and 4 starting TE's and not worrying in the least that we have maybe 1 starting Offensive Lineman. Oh and having to trade away a young, potentially impact LB for the other area of need. Angelo sucks at life and he definitely sucks at being a GM. Maybe we can get Marinelli's girlfriend to kick JA's ass next. What a couple of pussy ass tools.

  • In reply to mikemuadib:

    * Mariotti (And I hope she kicked him in the junk. Hard.)

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Fun to see what they're working on tonight. I will post full-on tomorrow. Nothing is ever as good or bad as it looks in a second preseason game, though there are reasons to be worried and excited.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

What are they working on? How not to pass block?

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

Omiyale can't play guard, can't play tackle. I wonder how he'd do as the long snapper.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

Urlacher on the sideline, holding his pads, staring at the ground, rearranging the dirt with his foot. Nice job cheering up your teammates ass hole.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Maybe he's hurt and bummed out Murph.

  • In reply to iamndmurff:

Thoughts on the game before i go outside and drink with the rest of the boys:

    1. Chris Williams - step up man, you can't be responsible for at least 4 sacks and multiple pressures and still be our guy.
    2. Pisa is an animal
    3. Peppers had some nice pressure and so did Tommie.
    4. Thank God Cutler is mobile. Time to make the structured sprint out pass play a regular item.
    5. Chris Harris looks slow and late on plays
    6. Gotta work on the screen play defense on 3rd and long
    7. i saw some decent run blocking tonight and Forte showed the burst.

I will think of some other shit later. Guys should get fined if they give up one on one sacks. Love the reverses and plays to get Hester involved. When we get 14 yards on a reverse that is a great play call. I like the diversity. Olsen has to make those catches and we have to get Cutler outside of the pocket more often. Also, Rockatansky is a fag.

  • In reply to hollywood1:

    My thought's on the game.

    1. We have a shitty o-line.
    2. I hate the cover 2.
    3. Our receiver's dropped too many balls.
    4. We have no depth.
    5. Was great to see Forte on fire. There is a glimmer of hope.
    6. Cutler threw the rock well.
    7. Special teams doesn't look like the Bears special teams unit.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

So Pepe and maybe Gueterraz the 2nd half? There will be blood.

  • In reply to JeffHughes:

Just get everyone valuable out of there and let the rest that are fighting for roster spots go at it.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    O. Line. Blows.

I feel bad for Jay. What did he get himself in to?

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

Chris Williams is out there getting worked over like a Vegas hooker on Saturday night.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    TRU DAT!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Did they say that besides for like 3 or 4 plays we have -30 yards? And that 1 of the Raiders has 4 sacks in the 1st half? Please tell me that I heard both of those things incorrectly.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

OLINE LOOKS PATHETIC. and Idk if its our secondary players or just Lovie cover 2 scheme, but what the fuckin shit man its blows!

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

The day of the cower(yes, cower)too is over. This scheme sucks and the Bears will be a 3-4 team when Cowher replaces this bunch with some real football minds.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

I knew the line was bad, but Chris Williams getting owned all night? The left side of the line was like a Raiders short-cut into the backfield.

Let's have the Forte-haters eat crow now. The man is back. Is that a Bear record?

Izzy is the starter. Like we didn't know.

Cutler's footwork must be the best in the league. Dude moves like a ballerina.

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

is it too late to make a trade for Mankins? if the Pats fuck him over, we need to sign him next year

  • In reply to Grizzly559:

Let me just say for the record as a former football player and lover of great football from gradeschool to the pros...I love Aaron Rodgers and i love Donald Driver because they are true fucking football players but Rocktastic may be the biggest fucking tool i've ever seen via the printed word. Rock-a-wear, i want you to know that you must reevaluate your level of tool-ness as it relates to society at large. Your loved ones are embarassed and your girlfriend/wife is absolutely regretful that she ever let you bang her for 1 and a half minutes. I didn't say boyfriend because that would be too perfect. 6'2 250 (self proclaimed) and the biggest nerd ever and also gay would have been too much, i would have stopped blogging forever out of disbelief.

  • In reply to ImissButkus:

    Yes!!!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

As an fyi, you might not wanna watch this game in HD, Bears are looking horrible :S

  • In reply to FQD1911:

The Bears look like shit! 2 sacks first possession. D looks like the same ol soft D............ SMH

  • any reason why it wont play? i downloaded the sftware, and still nothin

  • can't get it to play FQ

  • 3rd and 17 conversion. Again. This is what I've been afraid of. I sure hope the peppers signing isn't a repeat of what we got last year when everyone was blinded by the Cutler signing.

  • you may have to make your own.

  • in 22 days, Manu will be playing every down, blocking his ass off. he was killing dudes tonight.
