We have the 14th toughest schedule in the league. We are in for a tough year.
You never know who is going to be good and who isn't.
+1
14th toughest based on last year's games ....
All moot anyway if we don't get the holy grail of LG and FS.
It's 2010 and Chicago Now don't have a backup server? Are you kidding me?
Tough schedule starting out. And I hate the thursday night game @ Miami. Home teams are about a 80% bet to win the thursday night games since they started this series
Thought it was the other way around Al - easy start, tough finish. If we plug up our holes AND stay healthy looks like a 6-2/7-1 start going into the bye. Two big Ifs ...
And yes, Miami will kill us with Mr. Marshall.
The Love Affair continues with Marshall, I see? It is over, time to move on!!
Packers, Giants, Vikings, Patriots, Dolphins, Jets, Eagles, and Redskins. Are all good teams. Five were in the playoffs and the Eagles have weakend themsevles a bit. We play skins at week 7. That will be enough time for Mcnabb to be ready. I just hope The redskins o-line sucks. Great Job btw getting the schdule up here so quick.
Sorry I forgot to put Dallas. So we play five teams that were in the playoffs. Trust me. We are in for a hard year. Not saying we can't beat each team. It will just be hard as hell.
It will be a hard year,85, but thats what seperates the good teams, from the bad ones. I want to beat the good teams, and I think we can!
I hope this blog will rally to the cause and follow me to Toronto!
How much are the Tickets Jeff?
I'm going to find out. There are so many empty seats in that joint every year for this game and I think we can do something. I'll have a comprehensive package/idea soon.
yea that could work....would that include hotel packages? and i'm assuming the flights would have to be found individually (which is not a problem)
Angelo's hotel room number. All I need ...
No prices yet. I don't know how Buffalo/Rogers Centre sell the place. But I'm on it.
I like it! Start it out with a W at home against Detroilet and ending with a W in Green Gay! Should be sweet bookends to an 8-8 season...jk.
I feel good about the schedule. I hate when people see the schedule and say "oh, we've got the ___th hardest schedule" All that shit is on paper. Like Jeff said, from year to year "you never know who is going to be good and who isn't."
That's why they play the games boys!
Should be fun to watch. Stoked for the visits to the Cowgirls, the spiceless Panthers and Giants. Really excited to see them play the Cheatriots and the Jets at home!
With all of the "changes" in coaching and new additions to the roster I feel that this is going to be one of the more exciting seasons in a loooong time. Exciting because we can expect to see something different than what we have become used to [and sick of]. I'm not predicting SuperBowl just yet (but always hoping). I think if we just keep our expectations in check and enjoy the season it will be one to remember.
Bears For Life!
8-8?? Yeah, you sound real excited & optimistic, ha,ha..
going to Bears @ Cowboys, Bears @ Dolphins, and Patriots @ Bears. Bear Down.
when it gets closer, we should link up (i'll be at the Cowboys game)
I GOT THE PANTHER PEPPERLESS GAME LOCKED IN!
The Redskins Week 7, BYE Week 8, Bills Week 9.
That's like THREE BYE weeks in a row!
Looking over the schedule, where I think we have the best chance to go on some W runs and where we have the toughest stretches... I think the two games against Minnesota are both going to be pivotal points in the schedule.
First one is our ninth, when we have a solid chance of being a 500+ team at the halfway mark and a win would let us pull away.
Then we have two difficult games to close the season (the surging Jets and an away game in Cheese country), so a little momentum off of the Vikes might give us the cushion to survive even if we falter down the stretch. Besides that, I figure GB will have a better record than Minnesota this year, so if we're looking for a wild card spot getting 2 wins could be the tie-breaker there too.
I think the opener against Detroit could mean a lot too, especially when we see how their DTs do against our O-line.
Here's hoping no key players get season ending injuries in game 1 this time.
Damn tough schedule. The defense is going to get burned hard. Hope the offense can make up for it.
Notice that the Viqueens game at Soldier Field has been moved up to mid-November so poor Brett Favre doesn't have to suffer the frigid temps like he has been subjected to in '07 and '09.
AT Minnesota and AT Green Bay for 2 of the last 3 ?!
NOT good. Not good at all.
AND...
THREE of the last FIVE are division road games?
NO cold weather division games at home?
The Bears got SCREWED.
I like the Monday Night game in soldier field against the Packers somewhat early, bring em on!!!
I like that we finish against tougher teams - assuming healthiness as always - hopefully we'll have ironed out any of Lovie's 'wrinkles' and Knox/Bennett/Hester will have learned some plays by then.
If the Bears don't start strong it will be a long season Irish. I really think a schedule like this will groom a Superbowl Champ should the Bears make the playoffs.
Not expecting anything this year. But next year .. oh yes, results or else ... well... wait til the year after that I guess ...
My 2 cents worth.
1. Lovie will either be fired before the season ends or he will be given the keys to the City. No way a mediocre team and coaching performance will handle this schedule with more than 3 or 4 wins. A good team will have a hard time getting to 9 wins from what I see.
2. It's going to be very hard to make it to the playoffs with this schedule, lucky won't cut it.
3. A good team will become very good with a schedule like this during the course of the season and if the Bears make it to the playoffs, they can and should win the Superbowl.
3. I'm all in. The Bears can win the Superbowl if Cutler gets his shit together and our defensive unit plays like they want it. Lets just hope that our new additions will bring a much needed new chemistry that will ensure some Packer and Queen asskicking.
I agree. Plus, like you said, Lucky won't cut it.
No depth = no superbowl, plus Lovie already screwed the pooch at the show. New boss next year ?
I like it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGRlUKJxbTw
We won't go with you Lovie, you come with us.
hey jeff....here's an idea:
since it seems a lot of us are going to the games this year, why not make a collage of all of our pics at games and put it as the background to da site? we'll have to know how to get the pics to you, but this could be our personal touch to an already personal site. just a thought sir....
Their email address is on the ABOUT US link. There's two guys on DBB, Noah's the other dude ... or is it BF?
exactly! I've been wondering that same thing for a loooong time irish. In the interview it didn't sound like it, but you never know from a voice.
Wow! you actually completed a sentence without a Immature saying or a swear word!! Miracles still exist!
I am excited about the Toronto game, finally a game that is only a few hours a way!
Man, just when I thought there hadn't been any bad news for a while. Fuck me, I jinxed it, sorry guys.
Our AFC visitors are the Pats and the Jets. The Bungles coming here for some payback would have been nice to see. Instead, we get two tough playoff bound (probably) teams.
The Pats don't concern me but the Jets do.
Jets are going to be GOOD this year... and well beyond. Imagine that. Time they are a changin'.
Wow.. to bad we can't trade schedules.. Just counting who I think they should beat and they are at 10 already. Damn
Ed Zachary B85
what?
exactly
Any of you guys know if george is any better than that asshat Mike? Anything's better would be my guess?
Yeah it's a tough schedule and I can only hope the Bears will be a new team with a new attitude.
I'm not going to count chickens about that Detroit game. I'll be there but I'm not going to be there cocky. I hope the Bears don't either. Rather I'd like to see them drooling for blood and come out and destroy them. Make a statement right at the beginning.
We'll see...BEAR DOWN.
Same here Bear4ever. Detroit could have beat us easily last year. We should do exactly what you said. New Team, new attitude.
The time for honoring yourself is over JA. Get us a damn guard with a big stink in his drawers and a FS that #1, knows what the hell is going on during the game and #2, knows how to bring the wood across the middle and at the line.
1 down, 3 more to go...
http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Michael-McCaskey-to-retire-as-Bears-chairman.html
Is Olsen in the Mix.
The NFL adjusted the TV schedule around Rapeherburger's suspension:
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2010/04/did-roethlisberger-suspension-influence-nfl-schedule/1
He just got 6 games.
Replacing one loser McCaskey with little knowledge of the game for another loser McC with no NFL executive experience who only knows how to print tickets. Great!
Rich loser Crown. Rich loser.
Wow! SIX games and at least 4?
That explains the Leftwich deal.
http://www.ajc.com/sports/roethlisberger-banned-6-games-479843.html
Sounds like Big Ben needs to find himself a 12 step program, too.
BTW, Where do we get in line to help Mikey Mac pack his bags?
"I have no idea," he said. "I told you guys 30 years ago [sic] what an idiot that owner [Michael McCaskey] is, and maybe you guys have finally realized it."

Check out big Otis. He looks like he could still put on pads and fuck somebody up:

1. I am frankly astounded that CN don't have a backup server. The year is 2010. That was the fucking sequel to 2001 when we went to Jupiter and Helen Mirren was still bangable.
2. If the San Diego Chargers aren't AFC first seeds for the playoffs next year, they never will be.
3. I'll check out 'Shanty' tomorrow - I'm just going to bed and I don't want any impure thoughts in my Bear-like brain as I float into the world of nod, marshmallows for pillows ... angelhair and cherub's eyelashes for an eiderdown ...chum chum chum chum ..ah-shoo ...ah-shoo ....
Whats with the Charger hate?
Zero chargers hate, I live in SD so I root for them when it has no impact on our bears (most of the time), but there's plenty of Chargers envy.
Their schedule is a joke this year, while ours is brutal.
Zero hate for the Chargers here. Fudgies and Biqueens only. The Chargers have a nice uniform and Dan Fouts was cool.
SCREW the Chargers. Not one likable guy on their team. Not ONE.
Jebus, talk about pissing something amazing away for nothing: http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/179770-steelers-open-to-dealing-big-ben?xid=cnnbin&hpt=Sbin
Man, what a waste.
Totally agree. The first woman to file a lawsuit was definitely going for money and notoriety. This time, Ben really looks like a monster. Hire a couple of cops to be bodyguards and help keep the law in check. Then go out and do whatever you like. Really bad.
I've had sex a few times with really drunk women but it was assault with a friendly weapon. A couple of times I drank too much it was assault with a dead weapon. There's a lot of reasons why I don't drink anymore!
That does look like a cake walk of a schedule. But I don't look to far into that shit. We will hand them thier 1st W, even if it is only against thier scrubs.
I'll take it!
How do the Pats not concern you? Have you been paying attention to our defense? You dont need to be good to put points up on us. Look what the Lions did last year. I like Peppers as much as the next guy, but losing Brown might almost negate that.
The Pats game is winnable. The Jets game on the other hand may be a different story. Specially with this 0-line.
Lucky bastards.
I canceled the NFL network in disgust after last years season. Hopefully the Bears will be on enough nationally televised games with this schedule for me to see them on the field. This could be the year that I say thank goodness I canceled or what the hell was I thinking.
I can't get the damn thing and I want it 'bad' this year. Just to see every game would be so sweet, win or lose.
Have you read about the whole Time Warner Cable v. the NFL thing? Google it, it's rediculous and I'm pissed.
Trac, What?? You dont sound to dedicated to Da Bears there! I do whatever I can legally, to watch and support my Bears, every game. For 45 + years now!! And I will never stop, till I no longer cease to exist!! BEAR DOWN!!
Seriously, I am not going to let myself believe the Bears have an easy schedule. 14th toughest may be on the last years numbers but we know how good each team is. What is our main weakness? Secondary? We play how many good qb and receivers? It can be done. We can go 5-0 for the start. The problem will be.. how do you expect the bears to stop Brady, Romo, Farve, Mcnabb, Manning, and Rodgers, when the bears couldn't stop Stafford at home till we hurt him. This schedule will make or break the bears. Either we go all the way or this year..expect to be tied for third in our divison.
Bear Down BTiff. I am jealous you are able to support our Bears so much, Thanks!! Great fans like you, that actually Support our Bears, Rock.
I would love to but will not pay the ridiculous money to see an inferior team play again. Dough is tough to come by these days and I will wait and see.
Once again we will be defined by November and December. Checking the feasibility of Toronto now.
It's feasible. Very feasible. Lodging is a bit pricey right now but I'll see what I can do.
Common Murph, you have to be enjoying the fantasy of it a little bit. I know I am. Go get him Irish.
No, actually ... he kind of does it for me MB, he loses those glasses and he's really kinda sexy. His butt cheeks are still kinda firm from his days playing DT ... I do love the cock now and then ...y'see what I did?
Milk-a-WHA?!?!?! I thought we were talking about JA and pyrotechnics?!!? I feel like I just wanted a beer, but walked into the blue oyster bar.
Yes, I think I saw how you did that Irish... I think.
McMahon obviously didn't watch the Bears' dog and pony news conference from Tuesday, so I told him the Bears considered firing Ron Turner and a bunch of assistants "massive change." McMahon is no fan of Michael McCaskey, so he liked that one.
"Massive change," he said. "The only massive change they'll ever have is if they ever sell the team, and that ain't going to happen. While they're still there, they ain't going to win."
What has McMahon done lately? The last I checked he's still wearing spandex. Baaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa. Still pissed at him for playing on the Peckerheads for 2 years.
I've been thinking about what Albert said regarding no divisional home games in the cold and was thinking the same idea zmac stated above.
With the new Martz spread offense, the smaller athletic type players we have on D, with Cutler's ability to air it out, small and fast recievers, etc., maybe the cold has become a disadvantage for this team.
It pains me to say that as I love the tradition of playing in the snow and freezing weather and the fact it used to help us. It's part of the Bears storied history and identity. I love watching games at Soldier in December more than during the other months.
Since Lovie has put his thumb print on this team, the cold is no longer an advantage for Da Bears.
Whoa Irish, you should keep those twisted thoughts to yourself, Yuuk. How about those Bears?
Indeed BaM.
Next week on WTF? - Doc Nitty brings us 'Sarah Palin - Yes, she got that close!', followed on FOX by O.J. Simpson's new reality show 'Leave it to Cleaver!'
Next up, Doc brings us double-episode of WTF? 'Ellen DeGeneres - I just don't get it...'
I'll do him in a two for one when I'm doing Angelo ....damn! ...do I come over a little queer?
Maybe no Soldier Field division games in December is better for the way this team is built. This isnt the black and blue Bears anymore. I dont get what all the fuss is about.
Cheer up Doc.
You may have a point there, Crown, I grant you that.
Weather aside, it still stinks that they stuck them with all 3 divsion road games to finish out the season.
Heard on Fox radio...
I got this tidbit second hand from a fellow Bears disciple:
Last Saturday, Fox radio's Chris Moore was talking to Phil Simms about top QBs. When the discussion got to Jay Cutler, Simms comment was "Look out. The Bears offense could really take off." Chris Moore tried to argue the point and brought up the O-line but Simms would have none of it. It is Phil's assertion that Mike Martz is the "Perfect" offensive coordinator for Jay Cutler and, likewise, Cutler is the perfect QB for Martz. His reasoning? Cutler is one of the only QBs in the NFL who is capable of throwing ANY pass that Mike Martz can call.
When Phil Simms speaks, especially about QBs, I listen.
Not to mention Martz getting all wet the other day about Cutler. Can you imagine how demoralizing it must have been to go from Shanny's O to Turner's O?
I'm not too worried about the schedule. It's entirely up to the team. If we're good we'll win and if we suck it will be a disaster. I'm just glad we don't have any 3 games on the road streaks like the last coupel of years. Those are brutal.
Canada, Martz is all wet over Cutler, as his interview confirmed. Martz has a new love in Cutler, & I think it will be a glorious relationship on Da Bears!!
I sure hope so!
Unless he talking about his son Chris.
I'm glad we signed Jamar! If Lach's wrists go puss again, we'll need his athletism. This guy has looked like a real LB for a while now, too bad we he hasn't been given much of an opportunity. I put him above Tisamisalisa on the depth chart until he shows he's healthy.
Daniella showed up.
Info on Jamar:
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/playerbreakingnews.asp?sport=NFL&id=3938&line=171740&spln=1
You listen to Simms? Really?
What about him has proven his prognostication ability? Just curious, cause he seems douchy to me. He treated Greg Gumbel like a dipshit. Maybe Gumbel was an idiot, but I never heard a color man put down his play-by-play man as much as Simms used to, they split that team up.
Everything seems redundant during this time of year (off-season).
Doc, what instrument do you play and who are some of your musical influences?
seriously? where's this at?
RT @ZachZaidman: Jamar Williams signs his tender offer from the Bears
looks like we're good to go men (and ladies)
Jamar could still be on the trading block. Lets hope not.
fuck daniel manning. if he comes, he comes. if not, o the fuck well.
He's was a bum then and he's a bum now
Nice Doc.
On the HO-LY-FUCKING-SHIT side... I have this absofuckinglutely rediculous item for you all: http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/the_sporting_blog/entry/view/63488/divining_the_seahawks_draft_plans_from_pete_carrolls_musical_clues
Is that guy fucking serious? I mean I'm all for bringing a little more fun to the NFL, and I thought the stuff he did at SC were great for team building and all, but that shit is just plain stupid dumb. What a douche.
was
But hey MB, like you said to me, dont take it too seriously & too hard!! These are the Bear blogs, Right? Bear Down!
Word Doc. I asked because I've been thinking about picking up an instrument for a while. A lot of my friends play together and always encourage me to get in the game. I was thinking the bass or some brass (either sax or trumpet). My pops got me into jazz and I grew to love funk and basically most anything with horns or a brass section. Never got into the 80's hair rock stuff, but for some reason Twisted Sister's "We Ain't Gonna Take It" was my personal theme song for the 5th grade. Metallica rips even though I'm not much of a metalhead. Enjoyed Talking Heads the most out of that decade. Love the classic rock stuff you mentioned. I would love to slap a bass like Victor Wooten or Les Claypool, but I know that takes time. Probably less than learning a horn though, huh?
I have the same feeling as you about new stuff, but have been getting into it a little more recently. Check out Phoexix, Them Crooked Vultures and Wolfmother if you haven't already. Saw Wolfmother at Lolla a couple years ago and they tore it up. I'm sure you've heard of them, but there worth a listen. Anyways, thought I'd switch it up. Da Burrzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
MB-I don't know whether to think Carrol is a genius for finding a new and innovative way to interact with the fans during draft day or that he's a d-bagger for possibly giving his picks out early and letting other teams figure out what Seattle is gonna do. Will teams hire music consultants for draft day to try and figure out his clues so that they can strategize and determine who will be on the board after they pick? That shit is crazy.
Totally crown. I had the same conflicting thoughts at first... dude, is that guy a fucking visionary, or is he really just as much of a clown as I think he is? Then I felt guilty because I'm in that business and it makes perfect sense to push that envelope to me
Gott agree. I learned how to play piano in my 30's. Don't play in bands but it provides a ton of enjoyment/satisfaction. My all time fave pianist is Professor Longhair out of New Orleans. He's long gone but almost every New Orleans musician lists him as an influence.
Keith Jarrett is my piano man. Gives improvisational concerts. This section is beautiful :

The voice is my favorite instrument, it's the only one that can make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Can't think of anyone who does it better than Sumi Jo. I love this woman. Coloratura Sopranos rock.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIeCthPXJiw
Wow. Ever think you were infertile because you used to smoke so much chronic .. and then your girlfriend shows you an ultrasound of twins? Thank God they're due in the bye week - I won't miss a game. Off to candy mountain to sell a kidney ...
How did your wife take the news?
Welcome back Viva. You been in 'the shit'?
Viva, that picture says it all. That is a group of bad fucking brohams right there.
BOOM!
Welcome back man. You didn't miss anything ...
Interesting article on why history shows, using your #1 on a DT has been a poor choice:
http://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2010/04/nfl-draft-is-this-the-year-of-the-defensive-tackle/39291/
I know the argument GP, but I still like Suh over Bradford as far as NFL impact. We'll have to see, but it's really hard to judge a lot of these college QBs, except for Tebow who obviously doesn't have it. I doubt he becomes better than Stafford (who I've been very impressed by.)
Are you shitting me Irish?
What he said above. Congrats Irish!! If they're boys, I expect them to be the Bears starting OLB and left corner in 25 years.
No, serious as cancer. Thought I was Jaffa. There is a bank robbery in my very near future ... sleep used to be my favorite thing ... having money that belonged to ME .. ah well ...thx.
Keith Jarrett is the tits Irish.
Check out the fire and passion of Doug Buffone after the L to Cinci last year. I love this guy's heart.
http://dabearsfans.ning.com/video/video/show?id=4316297%3AVideo%3A4179
classic. this is why i'm a Bears fan. this is why i love players that played for the Chicago Bears for a length of time....because they ALL feel like this (Ditka, McMahon, Gault, Dent, Hampton, and the list goes on)
Respect to Nirvana, Soundgarden and the Foos. Kurt was one messed up dude. That stuff just really messes people up.
Bass? Cliff Fucking Burton, man. For Whom The Bell Tolls. RIP.
Hey MB, I mean this with all the respect you are due. But You have a filthy mouth, every other word you type seems to be the F word and you seem to hate alot of people. You appear to be a young hateful & angry person! The other thing, and dont take this wrong, but you are a total Kiss asss to several of the posters on here. It is so obvious that it is sickening & sad. I dont mean to be mean, it just bothers me whenever I read your responses. Just my opinion, it has been bothering me for a while, good luck! Just Sayin!! GO BEARS!
Dude, are you serious?
MB i do believe #16 just stuck his wang in you face and politely told you to straight sock it. that was weird.
Yes indeed it does Johnny.
I am fighting an internal battle right now. Smackdown or highroad... smackdown or highroad... smackdown or highroad????
I'll take votes too.
high road. i was pondering that myself. that was one of the stranger posts i've ever read. i read it and spit cherry coke out of my nose onto my spaghetti. left field? revenge for a past slight? that was fucking gangster.
Really? I was kinda leaning the other direction Johnny. I've been holding it back for so long, I kinda feel like maybe it will cause a disease to germinate at some point.
Anyone else have thoughts?
Yo #16:
http://img.moronail.net/img/1/3/3613.jpg
Thanks GP, I needed that.
I had actually started writing a response, but you and Johnny are right.
Highroad it is gents.
I will just say one thing: Alan. Garner.
Choked on a bit of apple ...
Thanks for the words of encouragement fellas. I just turned 30 too, but don't think its too late. MB, forgot about the Foo Fighters. They definitely tear it up; they might be the best rock and pure roll band of the last decade. Canada, heard of Prof Longhair but not his music. Dr. John might be my fave as far as pianists. I actually met him a couple months ago in New Orleans at the hotel I was at. I've been to NOLA and its Jazz Fest more than a hand full of times and I love pretty much all the music and women that comes from that place. I feel like if I had a second home it would be NOLA. Love everything about the damn place.
Dr John is great. Prof L was his inspiration. The club Tipitinas is named after a Prof L song. Surf around and check him out.
I love New Orleans music too. Irma Thomas, The Nevilles, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Snooks Eaglin, James Booker, etc. They're all great. Henry Butler is a blind pianist from New Orleans. That cat can really play.
There's supposed to be a new show called Treme about New Orleans post Katrina. Haven't seen it but I'm looking for it.
Tips is probably my favorite place in NOLA. Saw Rebirth Brass Band there a couple months ago. I've seen Henry Butler a bunch; talked to him about the Simpsons. Wish I was old enough to have been able to see the Meters there in there prime. Galactic is amazing, check them out if you haven't already.
Treme is amazing!!!! It's by the same guys that did the Wire which is probably my all-time favorite show. There has been two episodes so far, check it out! On HBO.
Who do you guys think the bears are going to take tonight?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo Momma.

Your mom might be on the board in the 3rd, but the Bears might pass on her after she tore her ACL while going down on me.
Hey Crown, when you put your hand on Max's moms box did it feel like a horse eating oats out of your hand?
It smelled and looked like a burnt peice of herring Trac, but close enough.

Mom Jokes? You can do better than that, can't you?
Hopefully the bears will keep Jerry & company after this year after they finish 4th behind the Lions, because this is too much fun watching you turds blow gaskets over a game you have absolutely no control over & little to nothing invested in.

No, disabled sister jokes too. And I'll jump in her wheelchair and swap her around. Get thee hence Fudger!
lowroad say: "#1BearsFan" is the biggest douche on the planet. Fuck "#1BearsFan" and everything he has ever written on the internet, which I'm sure is quite a boring screed.

Your disabled sister ...
Highroad is cool. Enjoy it. Ride the wave man. It'll be like having a pet around that you're not quite sure about. I'm letting the ass-kissing thing go. Basically just take a deep breath ... and in your best Terence Stamp ...'KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!'
Noah.
Oh wow. Bring it on ...
I'll put a sawbuck on MB and a C note on Doc.
Fight fair boys and come out swinging but keep it clean. No hits below the belt and the 10 second rule applies. Doc scored the first knockdown and Fan is on the ropes.
have y'all seen this: http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bears-sth/2010/04/road-to-the-super-bowl-starts-against-the-lions.html
now we all know he's heavily optimistic lol. 10-6 is more reasonable (9-7 if you're a pessimist)
Its feasible FQ, very feasible. I really believe this team will either be a lot better than people think they will be or a lot worse. I don't see a middle of the road record at the end of the year. We will either win the division out right or be hovering around Lioneske territory.
+1
No kidding JA, if you did your job and brought us some consistent talent the last several years we wouldn't have to trade draft picks. We're tired of it too. How bout doing your job and getting it right the first time.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/22/the-bears-are-tired-of-trading-away-future-picks/
"'We're out of that business,'' Angelo said. ''I don't want to get cute and keep borrowing from the future with picks because . . . it's very difficult to guarantee the present."
- Not too difficult to guarantee your present if your #1 receiver is Brandon Marshall you klutz!
BF, the Bible says it is harder to win an offended brother than a fortified city. Somewhere along the way you have taken offense and you must first win that battle in your mind before you will be able speak to an issue you have with someone on this blog in a productive fashion.
Hey #1, live and let live my man. We're all a little wacky or we wouldn't be Bears fans.
So Mb, If Carroll tweets "Pop That Coochie" does that mean the Hawks are trading their first-rounder for Big Ben? This music game could affect possible trade implications.
Yeah, I'm still pretty weirded out by Carol and those antics Crown.
Can't figure it out, but if he tweets any songs from artists on the "Beluga" Height's label, maybe they'll be going to Iowa: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/2010/draft/players/68476.html.
Just realised the draft started - and our worst nightmare has panned out. S. U. H.
No more looking at the schedule and marking up 2 Ws against Detroit any more.
We need to forget about safeties in the draft and just draft a bunch of interior linemen to counteract the Suh draft. Move mountains to sign Haynesworth and push *our* D-line over the top. Lots of bloody battles this year ...
How dumb is it to tip your picks to the rest of the league?
Bears should try to unload cutler and pick up roethlisberger
ummmmm....kick rocks
I can imagine Angelo tweeting about a tackle they want to draft. Kanye West - "I banged my sister"
I agree FDQ. Manning holding out is a joke, he has NO Leverage. Either he plays or ship his butt to Iceland, ha,ha..
His leverage: "I was just as much reason for losing the Super Bowl as Rex Grossman's pick 6!"
Any Danzig fans here?
Look at you Joe.
Muuuthaaaaa....
The singer in Danzig is as nut as Doug Buffone after a Bears loss Joeseph. Have you ever heard that guy's post-game show after an L? Dude goes bonkers. Fucking awesome and hilarious at the same time. If the Bears lose a game this year, you should do a Buffone rant.
Any of you guys ever see a Gwar show. THAT shit was bonkers. Holy jebus.
Worth checking out: http://www.gwar.net/ (holy sheite, they're still touring!!)
Never got into Gwar but I've seen footage of their live shows. If you go to their concert, you're coming out looking like a used tampon.
Hahahahahaha... exactly. They always seemed right on the edge to me, that very fine line between brilliance and lunacy.
All bow before Metallica - though they did wear Danzig T-shirts! What was their best album and I'll download it in an illegal fashion and not give them a penny ?
Not a huge Metalica fan Irish. They just don't get it. During the whole online music download era, they actually tried to prosecute fans who ha illegally downloaded their music.
Fools. They were too dumb, greedy, or just drunk and didn't get that illegal music downloads (to a certain level) was the best marketing campaign ever devised. The bands who do get it, like the wheez (Wheezer), etc... now release free songs to virally acquire fans.
Lars and his buddies are musical cave men... although I do like "One".
Hey Doc, how about Alex Brown & Mike Brown??
Nice Doc. That's good to hear. I turned 30 in Jan and I picked up a Bass guitar and started watching lessons on Youtube and I have a friend who is a guitarist/singer/songwriter who lets me "jam" with him once a week. I have been able to absorb pretty much everything he's tought me and given me to practice. I'm super stoked because I had built up these walls about how hard I thought it would be and that I wouldn't be able to pick it up. I'm glad to hear that you have progressed so much in just a year. I agree, you are never to old to start. If you have a passion for music yu just need to learn the basics and you can run with it from there.
Jammonit Boys! mmmmmmbearsssssss
I feel deprived that I grew up in the absence of the internet. Sitting beside a radio/cassette recorder with two fingers at the ready waiting for a song you like so that you could tape it was fucking pathetic in retrospect. Youtube rocks for musicians. Youtube just rocks period. best website EVER!
I'm actually going to reaffirm my support for BF to come out with that stuff. The Schedule thread thing was already boring ....
You didn't make the shit list Doc!
Ginny says!
I'm done with Turner-O!
He treats JC like a rag doll!
Hahahahaha... fair enough Doc. We can respectfully dissagree. Take this into consideration though, who started Lalapalooza? How played at Lalapalooza. And on and on to it's logical end.
who not how
Couple random thoughts for y
Did anyone hear what Adam Scefter said about the bears? He was saying that Bears schedule is set up to be this hard because the scheule maker or the NFL believes that bears are coming back this year or is going to be up in the top rankings. I sure hope so.. I sure hope so.
Didn't find that nugget B85, but there's plenty of other interesting reading on his NFCN blog: http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth
http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=5122331
Go here and then wait or click on Schefter name and listen to what he says espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=chi
He must not realise that Lovie was oxygen deprived at birth and Jerry corpses in drafts ...
