1985, Chicago Bears, Lou Casillas, Super Bowl
Coming to a theatre near you!
If film directors directed the Bears the title would be "one flew over the coocoo's nest".
JA would be nurse ratchett.
Couple items of news boys:
1. Buh bye Vasher (I'm a little torn about this one. I wish he would have stepped up last season): http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/155831-bears-may-cut-vasher
2. Aaaaand, yes please (let's get him): http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/155090-vikings-letting-taylor-go
MB..SHIT! nice find though.
1. We can give LDL 11 mil but yet let a contributor to our D go..THAT"S FU#@#$!#ED UP. Yes. I know he has not been the same but I think as many of the bloggers on that site mentioned they would take him in a Heart Beat! We just need a coach to give them inspiration!
2. This is what we need a "ONE TWO PUNCH" give Double Duece a chance to keep fresh legs. especially in the fourth when we need to grind it out.
Vasher played well before he learned lovies system. It's not the players, it's the system. Hello.
Trac.. you mean "COVER WHO"?
Wow -- I didn't see the Herzog part coming.
Just listened to Martz interviewed on 670. He actually talked about what a nightmare match up Hester is going to be in his system. At least I'm excited about that side of the ball.
That would be cool Doc, good idea.
I watched a little of that NFL live under cover, on the field show last night. Pretty lame since it didn't have much to do with football and I'm not a big drama fan... but If NFL Sunday Ticket or one of the other premium channels would offer it, I would certainly buy it...
Food for thought. If the Bears hadn't traded for Cutler and they had of gone into last year and this year in rebuild mode for o line a d players they would have had a shot at drafting Ryan mallett next year who has the strongest arm in the nation in Arkansas. Unfotunately our team would have been far better off had we gone that route.
Football is no different than life in may ways. As good as Cutler may be, trading for him was a short cut and short cuts get teams into trouble.
Short cut to what ? Drafting an NFL starter ? They haven't drafted a good QB since McMahon, and that's when the old man was alive. Cutler was manna dropping from heaven. A young pro bowl QB ! We've been through this - Angelo does not have luck with his first rounders, and that's being polite.
Don't ask me why but I have this re-occuring thought of Ryan leaf when I think about what trading for cutler has done to this team. I sure hope I'm wrong.
Classic. The 'incandescent rage' of William Perry. Why do all Eighties' Bear fans look like Richard Simmons ?
Good point Doc, I'd rather hear a 'sounds of the game' track than Troy Aikman or some other ducheyne explain the screen pass again. And if they need to show it on NFL Adult, so be it. I'd love to hear every effin dirty-bird and the sound of helmet on bone, the sound of a lung being decompressed or a liver popping ... Greg Olsen crying on the bench, his sniffles clearly audible as he wishes he were at home on the couch with mom - away from all these rough, nasty men :o) Phrrrrhhhrrr !
Fuck yeah Doc!!
And in case anybody missed it on the new thread ... your starting TE had precisely 10 catches after the first 4 games of the season.
Your starting TE and first round draft pick, Greg Olsen.
