  • Green Bay Sucks! Green Bay Sucks!

  • Irish,

I've been thinking about this for a while and your comment on the last thread made me want to comment.

I don't think the Pack's D is terrible, even though ours was for the most part. But I honestly think, the more I watch NFL games these days (more so just the last 2 years), the more I think there are two very important 'new' factors playing into a good defense these days. These factors have been brought about because of the capabilities of the great QBs and great #1 WRs these days. There

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I just reread my comment... apologize for the prodigious and superfluous use of the phrase 'these days'. Should have reread/edited before posting.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Since the facemask pic headlines this thread, thought it was OK top re-post this from the end of the previous thread...

Did the Packers ever get TRAMPLED by that herd of zebras!

First they miss an OBVIOUS helmet shot to Rogers' jaw and then 2 plays later they miss a clear fascemask (see above) on the winning play!

    Tsk, tsk!

I'm sure the Pack will appreciate the nicely worded letter of apology they'll be getting from retiring head of officials, Mike Pereira. It'll probably be something along the lines of..

    "Dear Cheeseheads,
Whoopsy. Looks like our guys missed a couple of calls in the overtime. Oh well, you should have lost in regulation anyway.
Next time don't fall behind by 17 and it won't be an issue.
    Have a nice winter.

Welcome to "...our Winter of discontent..." Packer Backers!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

    reported from Chris Mortensen:

"Jeremy Bates decides to forgoe the Chicago Bears and goes to Seattle with Carrol. Primary reason? Job security."

thank you Bears management for being a complete joke.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

Everybody knows Lovie is dead man walking.

To make matters worse, the fact we scapegoated all the position coaches and coordinators sent a chill to anyone else looking at the Bears.

Truly, nobody decent wants to work for Ginny and crew.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

I think the Pats era with Brady will be marred for all of history. We will always suspect they were cheating, stealing signals and sending spies to collect practice film during opposing team closed practices.

I think the Pats should have an asterisk next to all their accomplishments. We should send the Giants roses every year for ruining the perfect season for them.

  • In reply to gpldan:

The Pats aren't as good as they once were, but it's not because they're not cheating anymore. Brady is gimpier (and hears footsteps) since he came back from injury. He's still good but sometimes players aren't as good when coming back (like Carson Palmer).

The Pats were without one of their top receivers (Welker, leading the lead with receptions with 123 in about 13 games).

And the Pats run defense just plain stinks.

  • In reply to KentuckyBearsFan:

and the Super Bowl winning Giants stunk this year too.
...nobody every accused NY of cheating.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

What a night!!!! Bye bye suckers!!!! Vi-Queens?? Next!!!
    Go Ravens!!

  • In reply to MB30SD:

I'm pulling for the Ravens and Saints. I'm not sure I'll even watch the Cowgirls and BiQueens. I hate them both. I refuse to pull for either one of them. I actually feel bad for the Fudgies. That had to be a heartbreaker. I was dancing a jig over the Pats getting smoked. Fuck them, the cheatin' bastards!

    Go Bears!

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

I couldn't agree with you more. I am going to watch and root for Dallas though, even if I do throw up while doing so. The Viqueens must be defeated - and as long as it isn't the Eagles doing it, I will root for whomever takes them out of the playoffs.

Hate the Pats and that ratty, nasty sweatshirt. And what exactly was up with his hat? Yeesh.

    Go Bears! Go Bears Indeed.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

If only we were as the Packers.

Bears fans are settling for mediocrity.Woohoo

  • In reply to johnkos:

I think as long as Dallas wins... we are still the last team to win a playoff game; how sad is our division.

  • In reply to dutsami:

nm pack won one in 08... we've just won more playoff games than the rest of the division put together for like the past 9 or 10 years.

  • In reply to CanadaBear:

It's strange that BOTH wild card winners will play next Saturday when they just played on Sunday....meaning they'll be playing on only 6 days of rest and preparation while their top-seeded opponents will be playing at home AND 13 days of rest and prep.

  • In reply to KentuckyBearsFan:

    Momentum is key KBF

I think the Ravens and the Jets will kick some ass next weekend.

  • In reply to MB30SD:

Lets see three count em three one handed catches in the same football game, and some think we have wide-outs that can take us to the promised land. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Folks we need to get at least one guy that can do that.
Everybody that won this weekend ran the ball, set up by the passing game.
Pressure on the QB,makes Brady look like Rex,early in the game and then in overtime Cards pressure made Rodgers look like Rex.Cowho's vs IGGles pressure makes Mcnabb look like Rex.

I dont know who i loathe more the Ho's or the Queens. Jerry Jones And Tony Blow-hole or Childress and Farve. An advertisement for " Pukes r us".

Knowing that the Queens faithful expect to lose, and the Ho's expect to win,it would be wonderful to see the Queens win this one to get their hopes up,and then get demolished in the Championship game. These two teams sicken me to my core.

Aint gonna happen but i would like to see a Jets/Saints S/B. The Saints have never been there, and it would teach the Colts a lesson about laying down with 2 games left in the season.
