D line was relentless
O line protected well
First half defensive ass kicking was awesome and the rest was pure football entertainment
HH made that huge play but i'm still a little wary of his game to game performances.
overall i was proud of the way the guys played, even Steltzy stepped up a little.

The difference in this game (especially the first half) was all at the line of scrimmage. The offensive line gave Cutler time to throw and it made all the difference in the world. There were a few throws where he had his head up his ass. The running game got going in the first half as well. The defensive line put some pressure on Favre and it was a much different game than the first one this year.

Special teams were impressive as well. I never thought I would say it but I am glad that Devin Hester got hurt. Aromashadu would not have gotten the chance had Hester been available.

I don't mind having Lovie back if he can consistently get the defense to play the way they did in the first half and in OT. But I don't think he can. Turner had some great play calls this game too.

I told you guys that the Bears did not "have to" lose this game. Lovie should be gone at the end of this season. I truely believe this is going to happen.

Knox tore something in his ankle or at the very least a high ankle sprain. He'll have the off season to heal and I thinkg should be fine by next year. Tillman is another story. He's not a spring chicken anymore and I'm afraid his ribs were broken which can lead to a punctured lung or laserated kidney as well. They brought oxygen out to him right away which doesn't happen often so I'm thinking he punctured a lung. I love peanut as a cb but the reality is he's not as good as he used to be. I think last night proved we have young guys that want to show what they can do and do the job with good training.

We need new coaches, plan and simple. Great showing last night from a broken and battered Bears team that played their hearts out and showed they still have the heart and balls to win.

I hope Knox only has a sprain. Off season he needs to work on his speed, no need to bulk up and slow down.

I truly hope Tillman's lungs are ok. Cracked ribs are bad enough. That guy has been through hell and back with his baby daughter and doesn't deserve any more pain. Having said that, this may have been his last game - I don't see him coming back.

Wholesale secondary changes are upon us. Steltz may not be the bust we thought he was. Josh Bullocks mentally checked out in the 4th Q. He seemed to completely lose track of where he was needed.

I see, however, him staying around next year. I don't know about Payne, he's a mystery. Not really a big hitter, and not a great cover guy over the top. Alfalfa will probably stay. Vasher is gone. DJ Moore is probably gone. Graham may be gone, it's obvious he can't defend the tall WRs or any TE.

Manning will stay, just for his wheels. Bowman is a lock, he's the best CB we have.

In the LB, Williams and Roach stay, Hunter goes. Urlacher gets a big rewrite to his contract. Briggs stays. Pisa's career may be over, which is a real shame.

On the DL, Anderson stays based on last night. Adams stays, Harrison stays, Tommie probably stays, Alex Brown stays, Isreal stays. Gaines gets cut at camp next year after failing to bulk up. Gilbert stays.

Without draft picks, I just don't see how this isn't a 8-8 team next year. A new coach and some key free agents at OG and DE (Adams is a bust) are needed, and a LB to replace Pisa.

Don't forget Izzy !! We definitely need to trade people. If they insist on refusing to put HEster back returning, then trade his ass. Same for Olsen. I wasn't sure about Tommie. He may yet still get back close to 100%. Give him a stay. Don't want him ending up in GB or Minny.

I don't think you can knock last nights win any way or any how. This morning was great hearing all the talking heads on Sirius drag the Queens through the mud. I have a bounce in my step for the first time all season. This was the only quality win of the Bears have had all season.

Brilliant. The Bears we expected at the start of the season. I had three games marked down as gut wins this year. Green Bay in week one, Pittsburgh in week two, and the Vikes at home. What was wrong with the performance tonight ? Apart from kicking a FG on second down and not bothering to take a couple of play action shots at the endzone, Lovie didn't blow it. Jay was great. Delighted for him, all the abuse he took - physically and from the media and fans - that'll do wonders for his confidence going into next week. He can potentially end up even or better on TD/INT differential. The game puts a whole new perspective on the season and throws up a few what-ifs in actually making a case for Lovie's stay of execution (!) ....

What if Devin Hester stayed on returns ?

What if Aromashodou had Hester's place from the start of the season ?

What if we had that offensive line from the start of the season (Shaffer at RT, Williams at LT etc.) ?

What if Dez Clarke was still #1 TE (from a blocking perspective) and didn't get injured ?

What if Brandon Rideau was on the other side, with Knox/Bennett alternated in the slot ?

What if we had been spelling Forte with someone who wasn't a midget ?

What if Turner had been calling plays like tonight ?

What if Turner had gone downtown more this season instead of bubble screens and garret Wolfe up the middle ?

What if Urlacher and Pisa hadn't gone down week one ?

What if Dusty Dvoracek didn't disappear before the season started ?

Instead of a long rebuilding process, now it would appear that if we can stay healthy, all is not lost ....

1. Get a monster big receiver in FA (or get Brandon Rideau out of McDonalds) ....

2. Get an above average Guard.

3. Send Greg Olsen to blocking school and don't let him near the practice field until he learns how to hit someone and stop being a big girl.

4. Pick up some help for the secondary.

5. Lock Hunter Hillenmeyer in the weight room.

6. Place a few brown paper bags containg fecal matter on Jerry Angelo's doorstep and set them on fire.

I think they should also have been using time-outs at the end of the 4th quarter to save some time to get a shot at a field goal after the Vikes tied it.
