  • First! Aha!

  • From da Site:

"Since halftime of the season opener in Green Bay, Cutler has completed an NFL-best 72.2 percent of his passes. His six touchdowns and 110.4 passer rating over that span are third most in the league."

I seem to remember much consternation in the pre-season about our pass receivers. Note that in order to complete 72.2%, there is some guy on the other end of the pass CATCHING the thing. I'm pleased as punch with the Bears receivers and happy they did not waste money or a roster spot on a reprise of Marty Booker.

  • I want to see a blowout today. I want to see Caleb Hanie start the 4th quarter. 150 yards by Forte. Beekman in for Omi. I love noon games.

    Bears!

  • BEAR DOWN!!!

  • Bear Down!

  • Live feed anyone?

  • i need one also (mine aren't working)

  • C. Johnson with a big play already! Damn

  • And the Lions score with ease. Once again our defense comes to the game asleep!

  • That call on Alex Brown was the biggest piece of horse shit I can recall in recent years. Detroit was miracled that score.

  • Alex Brown didn't facemask OR horse collar, he cleanly spun him at the pads. What a fucking bullshit call, free touchdown.

  • FEED ANYONE?!?!?!?!?!

  • Forte! 61 yards!

  • JC runs it in!

  • If you have Sopcast installed use this one, great quality: sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/75687

  • In reply to FQD1911:

What in the hell is going on with this defense? Two 3rd & 10's converted, plus a 1st & 25?!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

WHAT THE FUCK IS OUR DEFENSE DOING??!?!?!?!? THIS IS THE DETROIT LIONS!!!!!

  • In reply to FQD1911:

If the Lions had a better Quarterback they would be destroying Chicago even more. Stafford misses open recievers right now...wait until the second half when he is warmed up and in sinc with Johnson and Johnson.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    any links to the game?

  • In reply to FQD1911:

seriously guys....somebody come thru with a link plz

  • In reply to FQD1911:

    just found one...enjoy

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    THANK YOU!!!!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

slow starts seem to be our thing. but that pass by cutty was RIGHT on the money....time to blow these clowns out

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

NOW C'MON DEFENSE!!!!!! GET YOUR ASS IN THE FUCKIN' GAME!!!!!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

Hum...this is against Detroit Lions? The QB looks like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady? Detroit Lions? Really?

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

I'd have to agree, when our O line performs Cutler is almost magical.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

In all honesty, I really don't care about the defense right now. I know its important, especially in December, but December doesn't matter if you don't win in Sept./Oct./Nov. I don't care if it's a shootout, as long as Da Team wins.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

Good thing I started Cutler on one of my fantasy teams. Already 13 pts!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    Tommie with an INT!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    PICK!!!!! PICK!!!!! GOOD SHIT DEFENSE!!!!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    gotta love the D

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    I'm still picking up Stafford.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

What is up w/the third down coverage of the secondary? My god Stafford is going to throw all day unless we shut down those rec... three drives of over 70 yds! against the Fucking lions!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

Not good. Not good at all.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

Yeah Big TOMMIE!!! Nice Pressure. This is Bears DEFENSE!!!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

we're about to drill these fuckers!!!!! TOUCHDOWN JERSEY GREG!!!!!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

REDACTION. Very, very good. Cutler, 19 NFL.com fantasy pts.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

Management better pay this QB soon...

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

THANK YOU, DBR! I "had to" run grab lunch for the wife so I Could listen to the game on the sat radio in my car!

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    courtesy of Brad Biggs:

"Devin Hester being taken to the locker room right now."

    o shit...

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

jay.... Come on. You don't pick off the ball inside the twenty and don't get the TD> McKie was wide open up top!

  • In reply to Darrek:

    McKie has bricks for hands.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Your right Knight but at least worth a shot. Better than him running it.. Like we've seen so many times in this Situation.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Hester and bennett to the Locker room... hope it is just precaitionary

  • In reply to Darrek:

The secondary still stinks...but the front is putting a lot of pressure on Stafford and forcing him to make errant throws. That, coupled with Jay Cutler and a possibly explosive Matt Forte will win this game.

But it's going to be one hell of a shoot-out.

  • In reply to Darrek:

how is bennett in the locker room and he just made that return?

  • In reply to Darrek:

cutty saw that man.....he had to know to put the ball back in. c'mon now....stop the miscues

  • In reply to Darrek:

Sorry... kids runnin around and got the DVR. mispoke on the bennett.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Sorry... kids runnin around and got the DVR. mispoke on the bennett.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Bears defense needs to work on 3rd downs. Little deflates a defense more than stopping offenses on 1st and 2nd then giving up a big play on 3rd down. This is starting to look like the defense of a year ago.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Sorry everyone.. kidsrunnin around and got the DVR kickin. IO'll watch my posts. Can't let Stafford an CJ keep connecting like that. Just out of Bowmans hands i know, but you can't let him run like that!

  • In reply to Darrek:

    Defense not good.

  • In reply to Darrek:

They have at least Four drivbes of over 70yds...That has got to stop i nthe second half. T of P has got to be dominated by DET.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Nice hold on Kevin Payne to spring the tight end there.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Did we mass-substitute in our third string defense on that drive?
    WTF.

  • In reply to Darrek:

They are just diving down the field..98 fuckin yards!!! What the fuck is going on. Totaly underestimating them. Is anyone as pissed off as am? This is horrible. Where is the fucking crowd? COME ON! Got to be better in the Second Half

  • In reply to Darrek:

    "The Lions marched 98 yards..."
What the f***! They're the f**king Detroit Lions!

  • In reply to TheKnightofOwnage:

No shit this is Fuckin rediculas...The worst team in the league. Just because they beat the Skins last week does not mean they come in our house and dominate our Defense...!

  • In reply to TheKnightofOwnage:

221yds to a rookie QB in the first half... Very sad.

  • In reply to Darrek:

221yds to a BOY in the first half.

  • In reply to TheKnightofOwnage:

The defense is apparently more banged up than any of us thought. The linebacker has been poor. The ref's are apparently in the tank for Detroit.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    linebacker=linebacking

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Once again with injuries an such the D looks average again. We're down our 3rd string LB corp right now.We get the ball 1st

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Sure makes you wonder what the division will look like next year when we assume the Lions will get some help on the O-line via the draft, the Vikings are starting Sage instead of Wranglers, and Green Bay either gets new Offensive Tackles or loses Rodgers to the IR.
Vikes could easily have the worst QB in the conference for the foreseeable future.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    division, not conference.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

This is a good Lions offense and or DB's can't cover. The only hope is we get the ball last IMHO. I think Lovie played soft in the 98 yd TD thinking they could keep the Lions in front of them.

Stat....273 yds Lions 157 yds Bears (because the defense couldn't get off the field.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Honestly, having watched most of the game (missed the first 8 minutes), I have to give some credit to the Lions OC for calling a pretty good game.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

YEAH!!!! J KNOX!!! What a fuckin run back... Thats how you start! Now its defense time. SO Sweet!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Think Olsen is a very good player but he's no tight end. Swing him wide and make him the Matt Jones of Chicago. Let Gaines play along with Des and Kellen at TE. Football is about mismatches. We need more size at wideout. D looks like a sorry second unit. We're in a playground game with 1-18 Lions. Pissed..You best get it together Lovester. FORT KNOX SCORES>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    JOHNNY KNOX YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    OPPORTUNITY KNOX!!!!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

That was a great runback TD with great blocking. Set up the middle and break it right. Only a matter of time before Knox returned one for the score! Now WAKE UP THE FUCK DEFENSE.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    Hester is out...

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

devin's out for the rest of the game....thank God for the bye week next week

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

I say better: JOHNNY KNOX YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!! :D

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

longest of his career right? Solid Gould!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Gould broke that 50 yard glass ceiling. Good for him! Good as Gould!

Keep it up, guys. Score again. Brad Maynard is the best punter in the league, but I don't want to see his bony ass on the field.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

This is our Game! D is finally steppin up.

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Wale and Mark Anderson playing like their contracts were up after this season...i like it!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

Defense stepping up big time! Lions wetting the bed!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

    big izzy!!!

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

how come the defense can't play like this in the 1st half?

  • In reply to MikeBrownhadaPosse:

How come the Bears can't run the freakin' ball?

  • In reply to Sayers40:

blocking. they have to block for him

  • In reply to Sayers40:

you are so right Sayers... this o line is big and pretty athletic. they are not getting any push off the line. Seen olin get blown up a couplke times.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Why don't they try bouncing Forte outside? Watching them run it up the gut against an 8 man front again and again is torturous.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Defense allowing too many plays again

  • In reply to Sayers40:

I believe the problem today is the inexperienced linebacking corps.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    Yes, Ogunleye!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    Game is too damn close

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Every Sunday I thank God that Adawale Ogunleye plays for the Bears and not our opponent.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

AND he knocked Stafford out! Hopefully they can hold Dante the way they used to.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

We've got 34 points, are playing one of the 3-5 worst teams in the league, and I'm worried. It used to be offensive coordinators were scared to play the Bears. Remember that? Now they salivate. It's like a guaranteed shot in the arm for their passing game. At least 250 yards and a 65% completion percentage. No matter who they play.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Cutler seems a little off today. Seems to be missing his throws like he hasn't this year.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

No doubt. But all's well that ends well.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Wow, every team I rooted for today (even a little bit) won.

Bears defense was very soft first half, but otherwise doubling the score against the opponent was a good win.

And Neckbeard improved to 4-0 in the usual "how the hell did they win that game" fashion.

/been up since 4A.M....going to go pass out now.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Since Atlanta travels to SF 49ers next week(Bears meanwhile mend up)Samurai's boys will inflict some hard hits to soften em up. Old Bears Coach Abe Gibron would be proud. Who can forget when he instructed 2 gunners on Bears KO unit to "knock out kicker so he can't beat us on field goals". What coaching! Scoring 48 points today was equal to what those 70's Bears scored in 6 games. QB Prime Cutler should be signed now. Cost is only going up Virginia!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

What a great game - it had it all. I was never worried for a second, not even at the half. Big kudos to special teams and the defense who really roared to life. Nice flying TD too. Damn, it's great to be a Bears fan this year!!

  • In reply to sjvl:

    2nd.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Is it just ME, or is anyone else here absolutely dumbfounded / stunned / shocked / LIVID / incredulous that with under 7 minutes to play and ahead by 20 our FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK WAS STILL IN THE
FREAKIN' GAME!?!?!? What was up with THAT!?! Even WORSE, there's the franchise running downfield at that same juncture TRYING TO THROW A BLOCK!!!! ARRRGH!!!! WHAT ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH were the coaching staff JAY HIMSELF thinking?!?!

    Apparently, they WEREN'T!

That was just MIND NUMBING, ABJECT, STUPIDITY.

You guys had the sense to pull Forte out of the game, where the hell was Caleb Haney to hand off to Wolfe? You were already down Hester and Mr. opportunity, were you trying for a "Hat trick" with a totally meaningless injury to the reason you are not staring down an 0-4 record?

    UN-FREAKIN'-BELIEVABLE personnel mis-management.

And while I'm ranting, thanks for not bothering to show up for the Sunday night game, Chargers!

Gotta go. WGN'S INTSTANT REPLAY just started.

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

JC definitely shows shades of Jimmy Mac, Albert. A general disregard for his own health, team first etc. While it's great to see the desire in him, those antics are probably what kept McMahon injured and out of the hall of fame.

  • In reply to sjvl:

Well, thanks for making it interesting in the 4th quarter, San Diego but hey, Ron Rivera, your D couldn't make a stop ALL NIGHT and was shredded to the tune of 500+ yards. Ew!

Is it me or is Mr. Merriman pretty average without his drugs?

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

Nah, he's still down in the dumps over the whole "shaken Tequila" thing.
Him and his idiotic 'do remind me of...oh yeah, the Boz!

  • In reply to Albertintucson:

    Likes:

-Forte broke a couple and a TD
-Cutler no INT's a rushing TD and 2 passing TD's
-Johnny Knox and his DH impression
    -Tommie Harris and his INT
-Sack totals =5 (NR, AB, II and AO)
    -Turnovers
-Our D only allowed 3 pts in the 2nd half
-Our D only allowed 90 yds rushing
-This win was without Tino, Hilly and BU
-The bye will be healed up and the "starters" will be back

    Dislikes:

-How great do we need to make a rookie QB look
    -Time of Possession
-Our D allowed 300 yds passing
-GO thrown to 7 times for only one catch (at least it was for a TD)
    -The first half

3-1 go Pak and take the Viks off their high-horse. score 3-0 with mass injuries, turnovers, int's for both sides. Like for some slop from both teams.

    Go Bears!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    TD Forte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    Attaboy Matty!!!!!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Stafford out. Wonder if they rest him next week against Pittsburgh (This is Sayers40, the fantasy football owner who was planning on starting Stafford next week)

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    knox out w/ a leg injury...dammit.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Book it. Bears beat the Vegas line on spread and total points.

    Bring in Hanie.

  • In reply to Sayers40:

    Rashied Davis sighting....

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Not taking #6 out of the game is beyond reckless. Let Hanie hand off to the Wolfe and enjoy a nice victory!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

Why is it that GWolfe seems to be getting through the line why can't matt? We need totake this bye week and get thealthy and work on getting matt more involved like last year. I know Jay is here but matt had some 600 touches last year. That should open up more play-action. TD wolfe!! love it! Hopefully knox and hester aren't serious. If so we need to think about signing a vet reciever like Jones or harrison. what i do know is that this game was to close for to long. BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS!! I love ya boys BIG win!! Let's GO Bears Fans!!!

  • In reply to Sayers40:

whew! now the bye week so we can get our guys back right.....

incoming pisa, hester, knox, AP, bowman, and anybody else hurt

  • In reply to Sayers40:

48 points. What the hell? D line played well. Injuries to Hester/Knox a concern..Happy for Garrett Wolfe. Kid looked pretty good on 2 runs. His TD was well deserved. O-line needs some changes. Bye week could not come at a better time. Bear down.

  • In reply to FQD1911:

I hope we can come through in this game. On a different topic, Matt Stafford will be on several of my fantasy teams next week.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

I have completely lost faith in this secondary.

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

Is our defense even on the fucking field?

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

To hell with the turf! Worry about your team being carved up by a 21 year old rookie!

  • cutty in for a TD (thank God for the 4-letter network's fantasycast)

  • Same thing with the Lions FG in the 1st Qt. A Lion jumped offsides. Generally, that is a 5yd. penalty. At goal line, it's half distance to goal. Lovie can choose to decline penaly, take 3, or accept, and repeat play. Lovie accepted, took off 3pts., and got TD.

  • This is what it's about!!! RT Is calling a pretty descent game today! Cutler with all three TD's Today! This is what we thought he was!!
