  • Go Bears! (First?)

  • BEAR DOWN!

Unlikely that Hasselbeck will start. So we'll be facing Wallace. If we can rattle him early we should control this game.

  • Confident in winning today's game is where most Bear fans should be. Over confident is a no no in Bear-Land(remember, we're not 85 Bears yet or even close). To enter a roadie with an emerging fixture at QB for 10 years to come is where my head is today. That brings a sense of relief that I never had when 85 teams strapped helmets on. Sure, the D would maim and pummel but Bears QB was always a "who's starting today" sort of thing. Cutler has already brought the franchise into modern era. We've waited many(too many) years to enter a game with solid All-Pro caliber QB. Bears 31-13. Bear Down and Hit Everything!

  • If Brandon Mebane (yeah, I know - who?) starts blowing Omiyale up and Beras cant get Forte runs going, it wont bode well. Beekman time!

    Is Aromashadu back this game?

  • All I can say is that I'm more relaxed today than I've been in months. I want to see some guys prove that they are learning from mistakes, but mostly I want us to get off the luxury jet running! I'm glad we have a QB, ecstatic even, but NOTHING makes me happier than watching the deuce-deuce eat up yards and clock.

  • No matter what uniforme Seattle wears, the Bears will end up on top.

  • Max, you find a link yet? No luck here but I will keep you posted.

  • Happy to say that I was lucky enough to have attended that Seahawks playoff game...Robbie kicked the ball right at me! One of my favorite memories...
I expect the Bears to win today, but probably not in the dominating fashion that many are expecting. I hope to be proved wrong by the rest of you. Enjoy the game today everyone. Bear Down!

  • Nicole!!! rub the gnome for good luck today and bear down!! lol

  • 1st time i'll be posting in the game thread (uber excited). if you're broke/cheap like me and don't want to pay for that bullshit NFL sunday ticket, go here: http://www.justin.tv/directory/sports/football?order=hot&lang=en

should have every game for today (including ours). refresh it in time for the Bears game and you should see it.

  • thanks FDQ!!
I live in southern illinois and they rarely show our games down here...
it's all rams and cardinals territory down here....
makes me sick to my stomach...
gotta drive an hour to the mall or go online jus to get bears merchandise...
I wanna move back to the city....lol
    anyways...BEAR THE FUCK DOWN!!!!

    http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nfl-cfl-afl/43707-streaming-thread-2009-nfl-season-week-3-a.html

You have to install a small program that acts as the viewer but I did, and again, have had zero problems.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Early games winding down. I'm getting nervous about finding my Bears. Dolphins/Chargers is the late game here in So.Me. ZZZZZZZZ

  • In reply to salcantar06:

AromaShadu is on the inactive list. Alex Brown is playing, we'll se what kind of push off he gets on that ankle.

Here's hoping Hunter "can't shed a block" Hillenmeyer makes a INT or something and Roach/Williams shores up the strong side.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

LET'S GO!!!!!! TIME TO GET THIS "DUB"!!!!!!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    queens lose!!!!!!! go bears!!!!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

  • In reply to salcantar06:

OK, the listen live button on the Bears' site isn't working. Anyone have a direct link?

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-nfl-11.html (sound is low though)

  • In reply to salcantar06:

DAMMIT!!!! our D needs to tighten up!!!!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

none of these links work for me....
    i'm goin nuts....
    HELP!!!!!!!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    http://player.play.it/player/player.html?v=4.6.27&id=93&onestat=wbbm-am

Here is a link to hear streaming radio coverage. If anyone has video please post

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Yeah, make that Hunter "can't make a tackle" Hillenmeyer.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Well, those asshole 49ers blew it. I'm more upset about that than the defensive letdown which happened moments ago.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Cutler the crack backer. Omiyale can't handle the Seattle 12th man. Slop, slop and more slop.

Cutler just made a throw to Bennett that Kyle Orton couldn't dream of making.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

does anybody have streaming video that is working?

  • In reply to salcantar06:

I wish I could fuckin see all of this....

  • In reply to salcantar06:

i have a shitty feed....fuckin' ridiculous. AND matt forte is on the training table (left leg).

    ...........

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Cutler and his damn gun, it's like having Farve as your qb. Thinks he can make any throw and Knox can't handle the ball... INT.

Now Julius Jones (brother of Thomas Jones) is running through the middle like Tommie Harris is made of butter. Butter Harris.

    Finally, Peanut makes a stop!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

for those that want video, http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-nfl-11.html

    and we're looking shitty

  • In reply to salcantar06:

my feed is messing up....does anybody have another?

  • In reply to salcantar06:

streaming here (works good in San Diego) http://esportsline.blogspot.com/2009/09/chicago-bears-vs-seattle-seahawks.html

nice job on all fronts so far. we suck right now

  • In reply to salcantar06:

where the fuck is our goddamn defense???????

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    Hawks up 10-0.

Our D looks the shit. Hunter called blitz and got burned on the screen, now there is a lot of standing around, and the front 4 isn't getting pressure. TJ Hoosh is going to burn Peanut before this is over.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    Pretty good:

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    http://www.justin.tv/saints124

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    welcome back REX!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    smh this is ridiculous

  • In reply to salcantar06:

the damn zebras fuckin' up the game

  • In reply to salcantar06:

alright....we need a score here. wouldn't mind a FG, but we REALLY need a TD. Turner needs to be fired after this season.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

How many stupid mistakes can they make? Offense, Defense, Special Teams all look bad!

  • In reply to salcantar06:

The middle of the line looks awful on run blocks.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

We will catch our bearings and come back.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

    yo...this is ridiculous. seriously.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Garza + Kreutz + Omiyale = No run game, DTs in the backfield.

We're like the Dolphins late in Marino's career. Just put Cutler in the shotgun full time.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

Really questioning Turner's play calling so far in this. The Bears are flat, the D calls are not working, nothing's working - and then I just saw that the Vikings actually won their game - all North opponents won - we better turn things around here.

  • In reply to salcantar06:

2008 deja vu. They can't stay up for two games in a row. Flat as a pancake on both sides of the ball. WHY THE FUCK can't they get pumped????

  • Not even close.

  • momentum shift!!!! LANCE BRIGGS!!!! now let's get it in tune Bears

  • Seriously? He is getting hit as soon as he gets the ball. It is blocking!

  • will the bears ever have a decent offence?

  • There you go Olsen!

  • Oh my lord... Not a strip in the end zone

  • he was DOWN!!!!

  • Wrong Turner calls a sweep with Forte! He's an offensive genius!

Forte fumbles during the stretch and loses the ball! Challenge flag!

  • Well we'll lose this one. Forte, get your knee down and live to fight another play. Disgusting. Lovie, you better light their asses UP in half time. This is pitiful and embarrassing.

  • Whew! that was a big one

  • NY Bear fan......agree on Forte's blocking. But he just doesn't look like he's running with the same intensity. He is running harder in the "fumble?" series

  • Life not so bad Max

  • wow! we actually get a call! I actually thought it wasnt clear enough to call.

  • I agree kick a field goal!

  • i need a new link

  • I cannot believe they let Olsen come out free!!! What a break!

  • naw....got taken off sadly

  • Bear Down!

  • If Orton is the QB, they are kicking that ball

  • That was an absolutely fabulous play by Cutler!!!!! AND also by Olsen in getting wide open so quickly.

    Now...WAKE UP THE FUCKING DEFENSE.

  • Lovie with big brass ones calling play action on 4th. Damn, if that was Kyle Orton he'd have eaten turf and the ball wouldn't have left his hand. WTG Cutler.

  • here nicole: http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-nfl-11.html

  • Lets force a turnover here!

  • Can we stop the run today?

  • With the exception of the one drive at the end of the half by the bears it is nothing but frustration!

  • Regroup, and come back in the second half with that fire. Bear down

  • Apparently Ron Turner and Lovie think that Jay Cutler can't do what Matt Ryan did to us.

  • As bad as they played being down by 6 is ok. Lets hope the defense comes out and makes a stop in the second half followed by a good drive by the offense.

  • Thanks to the defense for allowing Seattle to stop themselves by missing a fairly easy field goal.

Hey Head Coach-taking-over-the-defense. How's that working for you?

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Well Tom,
Maybe I ought to turn it back over to Babich so I have somebody to blame.
    Thanks,
    Lovie

  • In reply to TomBecker:

THAT'S why we didn't get Houzhyourdaddy's bitch ass!!!! BEAR BALL!!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

There playing about average at best,we'll see what the 2nd half brings

  • In reply to TomBecker:

FUMBLE!!! Oh T.J. Why don't you talk shit now! Loser...

  • In reply to TomBecker:

There you go TJ, you burned us.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

And a big play by Hester! BEAR THE FUCK DOWN

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Forte is about to break

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    our o-line SUUUUUUUUUCKS

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Can anyone tell me why it takes our Bears so long to get going? by the way did anyone see that beutiful win over #5PENN ST by my IOWA Haweyes?

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Touchdown Fort Knox!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Nice move Knox..>! thats the way

  • In reply to TomBecker:

way to waste a challenge and a TO mora......you and your dad can't coach worth a shit!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Good drive, solid. Looked like the NYG pre-season Bears. Hester made a nice overhead 2-handed grab on that drive. Knox with the major juke. Hawks lost the challenge.

    Keep it goin D!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    w. t. f.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Bad penalties...this team looks like shit. They are just dominating even though we are winning. why is it that are team comes out feelin good about the game and then they play like shit? Just little plays like that. where is the coverage!!! FUCK!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

GRRRREEEEAAAT Defense Lovie. The center of the field is ALLWAYs open

  • In reply to TomBecker:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! guess we just play teams w/ shitty kickers

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Mare must owe a Chicago bookie. Hey Mare, it's not a soccer corner kick. Donde esta el waiver wire.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

What the hell is this unit doing to opponent kickers? Sweet!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Wow. 2 weeks in a row the opposing kicker has money on the Bears.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Oh yeah, that's the defensive strategy. Let Seattle miss easy field goals. Sure am glad they didn't go for a first down.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Briggs, you beautiful All-Pro basterd!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    BEAR DOWN!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Nice catch LB!! the only fuckin d player with his head on straight

  • In reply to TomBecker:

blown opportunity to get a TD, but we have them on their heels

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Money

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Gould!!!!!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Although disappointing not to get more.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Hawks are going to test the LBs. Roach at MLB. Run stop!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

the 'Hawks are getting lucky as hell

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Our only hope is that they try a field goal........

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Mare avoids the Mexican death squad. 17-16.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

good defensive stop, but they need to tighten up the coverage (we're getting to wallace, just need to A. take him down or B. force a pick)

  • In reply to TomBecker:

OK Offense...Puhleeeze keep the defense off the field.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

With Roach + Williams we are faster and the blitz comes fast. Let's hope they eliminate mental mistakes.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

wtf the run game hasnt worked all day. why would they run 3 and out? Ron Turner sucks!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

No blocking so let's run our smallest back into the line.

    WTF??????????

  • In reply to TomBecker:

OK. Good series defense. Nice sack. THANKS.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    defense comes up big

  • In reply to TomBecker:

feed is fuckin' up yet again

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    ugh fumble

  • In reply to TomBecker:

my fox affilate is breaking up as well. im in wisconsin

  • In reply to TomBecker:

don't even wanna know.....about to throw my cpu across the room

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    affiliate EVEN

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Cutler + Wrong Turner. 5 minutes left. Down by 2.

Legends get made - or broken....

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Warm that foot up Robbie

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    CUTTY!!!!!! THAT WAS HUGE!!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Fuck yeah!!!! Hester is going to be the shit in this league! GO BEARS!

  • In reply to Darrek:

Yeah, there aint nuthin else to say!

  • In reply to Darrek:

Hester is becoming a solid receiver. He made a few good catches (one low pass and one over the middle and of course the touchdown). It is great to see this young group of receivers coming along well. The defense scared the crap out of me though and the run blocking was really bad.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Touch down Hester!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Cheap shot Kerney, but Hester gets a gift from Deon Grant. WoW!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Speachless euphoria..........

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    pitt just lost to cincy....damn they're 1-2

and now they let julius jones' wack ass run all around

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Don't blow this D.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Are you SHITTING me? the D is gonna give this away!!!!!!!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    COME ON DEFENSE....LETS STAY STRONG!!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

4th and INCHES with 59 ticks left. Bears play psyche out with the TO, know they are looking at the sneak. Adjusted to 52 ticks.

Hawks go to naked bootleg. Cripes.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Stop em D

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    BEAR THE FUCK DOWN!!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

THANK GOD!!!! we're 2-1 now (HARD fought game). we have a LOT of work to do....

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Bear down! A W is a W

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory;
Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.
We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation.
Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown.
You're the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

    WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

    Gosh that was easy.

Anyway I thought the defense did step up in Seattle's last gasp attempt

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Maybe the D shows up in the first quarter too next week, then things will be much easier. Big win with the rest of the division going 3-0...

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

you mean 4-0 (detroit won too lol)

  • In reply to DrinkBurpRepeat:

    Efffing WOOOOT!

  • In reply to TomBecker:

Game over... Very fucking ugly. If we are goin to do anything in this league, we need to play better. we can not come out like this every week and expect to win. Thank god for hester and briggs;oh and olindo mare we would be going to OT right now. Love our bears but they give me a fucking heart attack! Looks lokie we should be 3-1 after next week and done with the first quarter as lovie likes to call it. Good to have our bye week and get rest and healthy. GO BEARS!!!

  • In reply to Darrek:

We better not look past the Lions even though we are at home.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Actually, if we are goin to do anything in this league, we need to just keep winning. :)

  • In reply to Darrek:

    Unsatisfying.

Can't help thinking Seattle lost it as much or more than the Bears won it.

Bottom line: We'll take the "W" but there's is PLENTY of room for improvement.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Good game. Yes, plenty of room for improvement. But when it mattered, the Bears offense, defense, and special teams made big plays. This is a good football team. Keep that in mind.

  • In reply to Darrek:

NFL Road wins are never easy. Perched on the end of my seat entire game when I thought we could handle SeaGulls without much trouble. Should have known better. HH is hurt. Anyone know what it is yet?. Call should have been already made to bring in Brooks. We'll need him in locker room to steady this group. Liked the hits layed out by Roach. Worried about injuries mounting up. Did Tommy Harris do anything today or am I missing something? Briggs played huge game. He could have played on 85 team. Reminds me of Marshall/Wilson clone. He hits like a brick and flys all over. Lions next up. Another team we can't take lightly.

  • In reply to Darrek:

An we were finally wearing the white on blue.....i thinked that helped with the win.....lol

  • In reply to Darrek:

Ok, I suffered a heartattack and two strokes, but I'm ok..I'm ok! Can't take much more of this. We got lot's-o-work to do. Especially in pass protection! I mean they were'nt horrible. just not very good. Our pash rush needs a lot of work too. Where were the dink and dunks in the middle? Oh well, it's a W. That's all that matters!

  • In reply to Darrek:

since week 1, cutty has gone for 48-65 (73.8%), 5 TDs, and 1 pick. tell me that's not a good QB.....

  • In reply to Darrek:

Ok Team, i know it was close and we could have lost that game but damn if the offense was 1 or 2 plays and a phantom chop block away away from putting up 40 points. Roach a better MLB than HH. Harris got in on some plays, Afalava almost pulled off a Polamalu-esqe INT. Defense needs to step up a little but Cutler came up huge. Hester had some sick catches today and Bennett and Knox did well too. I really like out passing game alot. Running game is still a little rough but that will come in time i think. I was a little fucking stressed there for a bit and we really need to step up on 3rd and 10 or more but a win is a win is a fucking win. they missed 2 FG's but we pissed away at least 14 points as well, they got lucky too.

  • In reply to Darrek:

I used Reverenddave's link and watched the whole game with one little skip. Good sound, vid, and was only about 30 seconds behind tickertape. Thanks a ton Rev!

  • In reply to Church:

No prob. Happy to share my good fortune

  • In reply to Church:

My new nickname for Johnny Knox

    "Opportunity".

  • In reply to Church:

First off, positives. Great win. Cutler is a winner. The only person who could fault that guy is Rick Morrissey.

Negatives. There are many. Perhaps none moreso than the Seattle Snots uniform. Wow.

The OL stank it up again (giving Forte has no chance) but were overshadowed by Ron Angelo's playcalling. I don't know where to start with the calls, but seeing Garrett Wolfe come onto the field as an every down NFL back was embarrassing. His mother must have closed her eyes watching that sequence. What was AP doing on the sidelines for 3rd and 1 ?! You look at that play, still shaking your head from the previous two and Wolfe is all alone in the back field. Ok, this a wr screen, hb screen, something. Nope. They handed the ball to the lollipop guild and asked him to plough through a line of fully grown men ? Please. A D-lineman, the new guy Kalil whatshisface. Anybody. It looks as though our OL is actually WORSE than last year, both in pass and run blocking. Even Williams was bad. Omiyale was supposed to be an addition, he plays like a subtraction. Cutler gets them out of trouble again and again, it's like he sees the game unfold in slow motion, I have no idea how he finds receivers as quickly as he does. Why was Kellen Davis not used more ? How much more of Greg Olsen falling over and desperately not trying to get open can we suffer ?

Wrong Turner. I'm sorry, but I want him to die. This man is bringing out my dark side. I want to jump on a plane, fly to Chicago, press the guillotine lever at his public execution on the 50 yard line at Soldier field, place his head on a stick, take my bows and fly home. I had a thought last night, I think I know why he still has a job. Ron & Jerry are gay lovers ! That has to be it. And they both give favors to Ted Phillips. Ted Phillips gives favors to Virginia .... that has to be it.

Should be good to get it on with the Lions and slap some reality back into them, and really let Cutler open up his tool box and quieten his critics - if there are any left, Mr. Morrissey ?

  • In reply to Darrek:

Busch Gardens for the win. Sounded stressful. I am going to have to get NFL Rewind. I just couldn't resist checking. I had a good feeling we pulled it off.

  • In reply to Darrek:

Was anyone else blinded by the colors of Seattle's new uniforms?

  • In reply to Darrek:

I think the Seahawks uniforms were the reason they got up 13 points in the first half. The Bears must have been overcome by merth.

And I too was glad to see the blue pants! Remind the boys of 1985 and 2006, not 2008.

  • In reply to TomBecker:

With Pisa T back next week, and probably Roach clip at MLB, we should be okay. It's nice to be deep at LB. Say those prayers for a healthy Briggs the rest of the season...

  • Nicole, we need to get together sometime. I live in Columbia; it's not THAT far away :)

  • Doc, how did the Bear head with the bleeding mouth of feathers go over? Make any friends?

  • That pick by Briggs was f'ing incredible. What a badass.

  • Ballsy game to bet on. Nicely done.
