About Tomorrow...

Okay, so we're trying something new tomorrow.

Instead of just leaving a picture up on the site for the entire day and night, we're going to have DaBearsBlog's Twitter updates (read: mine) on the main page.  So I'll be commenting throughout the day (specifically the Minnesota game) and during Bears v. those fellas from Wisconsin.  It will update automatically so you guys can just comment and debate as usual.  If you're interested in what I'm thinking, just look up.  There will be sporadic remarks and end of quarter recaps.

We launch the new season.  Here's hoping it will be unforgettable.

  • bear down everyone lets kick some packer ass

  • Lovie and his new Hot-Rod led D-line are going to stifle Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Grant tomorrow night.

The 3 T's (stats) that I believe will determine the outcome of the game are:

    1. Third down conversions
    2. Time of possession
    3. Turnovers

If the 3 T's are close to even at the end of the game the determining factor will be: who wins the battle of the trenches?

Here's to the bears coming out strong on Sunday night and setting the tone for the rest of the season, Bear Down!

  • I love it when ESPN pays someone to preview the Bears game that obviously has'nt seen them play since 2006.

    Way to phone it in.

  • In reply to tuanlane:

wow. golic is on our nuts? lmfao

  • I'm peeing myself with anticipation...

  • Good list, Shady, but TURNOVERS should always be at the top of any list of game keys.

  • Vasher....physical?
    Hmm.
If by "physical" he means that Nate is one of our few CBs that passed one, I guess he is right.

  • "Al Davis says he didn't overpay for Seymour."
WOW! THERE'S a real bulletin for you.
No offense, Brad Biggs, but the NEXT time "Raider Al" admits he made a mistake will be the FIRST!

Heard Brad Billick interviewed on the radio yesterday and he related that last year he had a 4 hour sit down with Davis. Billick said it was great to have such an opportunity to talk football with Al for so long and that anyone who didn't think Davis was still lucid was wrong. However, he also related that he spoke with a Raider assistant, discussed some issues about the team and then asked "Why don't you tell that to Mr. Davis?" The response?

"Oh, we don't pet The Tiger."

Further confirmation that the Raider organization truly has become a ZOO.

Surrounding oneself with sycophants and "yes" men is why people like Elvis and Jack-O died young and why the Raiders have been in a coma for years.

  • After yesterday's ham-handed court decision, I predict the Queens will go unbeaten at home as they will now simply appeal any apparent home "loss" to the nearest sympathatic (or is is simp-pathetic?) Minnesota Judge.

  • Twas the night before gameday, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The Jersey's were hung in their lockers with care,
In hopes that Jay Cutler soon would be there.

The Players were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Superbowls danced in their heads.
And Lovie in his Polo, and Rod in his cap,
Had just settled the game plan for a fiercesome attack.

When they went out on the field there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away from his arm It flew like a flash!
A Cutler to Hester 60-yard pass!

  • You could also use a Twitter hashtag every week to enable discussion on Twitter itself (for ppl who aren't in front of their computers during the game). Something like #bears-packers...

  • Oh, and GO BEARS!
