The Generationals Play The Hits @ Lincoln Hall-9-20-19

The Generationals show at Lincoln Hall played like a Best Of tour, which seemed to please everyone.

While the majority of fans in attendance were waiting for the hits, "When They Fight," "Put A Light On," and "Black Lemon," the rest seemed to be digging the smattering of new songs that were played.

"I Turned My Back on the Written Word," "Gatekeeper," "Xeno Bobby," and "A List of the Virtues," all from Reader As Detective, fit in the set perfect.

My favorite songs of the night included "TenTwentyTen," and a song I had never before heard until this night, "Lucky Numbers." The latter of which I cannot stop playing. It was a crowd-pleaser, reminiscent of LSD Soundsystem.

Later in the night, we were surprised with a classic Cure cover, "Just Like Heaven, " and my favorite song from State Dogs, "Catahoula Man."

I've almost never seen a crowd this happy and this friendly. If you get to be part of the G-Dub Dance Party, it's a special feeling.
