Shout Out Louds-Optica

Artist/Album Title: Shout Out Louds-Optica

Reason For Purchase: Love the dynamic of the guy/girl vocals, and the songwriting ranks up there with some of the best in the alt-rock world. Look no further than album opener "Sugar" for justification (listen above).

Songs To Hear: "Sugar," "Illusions," "Blue Ice," "14th Of July" & "Destroy."

Why You Want It?: The songs are all very catchy. You will want to sing along, and you'll want to know what they are singing. It's more pop than rock. Some of the songs can be very inmate, slowly dragging you in. The vocal combination of Adam Olenius and Bebban Stenborg is part of the joy for me. Their voices match perfectly and prove a great fit for the poppy instrumentation.

Collection Worthy?: Yes, it's great for the collection. All of their albums are worthy. The version I bought was a promo from Merge. There was no proper artwork or album cover with my CD. Just the back tray card with a write up on the band. So, I will continue to look for the REAL version in the cut outs, but this version rocks in the car.
