One of the most novel ideas to come of all this piracy dissemination, is a little video called "Download A Car." Former Fat Boys have this great idea to download anything you want! That's right, you heard correctly. They would not only download a song, they would DL a car if it was possible. Yes, and the technology is well on the way, but still some years off.
I'd download a spaceship and fly to the stars/I'd download cologne, I'd download a car
It's funny, but relative, at a time when almost 10% of the country is out of a job. We are still suing people over downloading songs and sharing them. Yes, you know all this. But as of late, there have been bills in the works that would allow government to control the internet. This is a whole world of difference. Beyond getting sued over illegally owning music, they are threatening to take away our voice. A freedom that has been in place prior to the 1800's.
A lot of people have been outraged by these bills, and the Former Fat Boys represent a long line of these people. But instead of getting pissed and causing riots, they have turned their anger into inventiveness. They came up with this novel concept. What if we could download what ever we want?
At this point it's more comedy, than say, reality. One day it will definitely become a reality. They have already been talking about building in space, and on different planets with technology like this?
But, back to the million dollar question. Would it really be great to download what ever you wanted?? FFB justify the reaping of anything that can be downloaded by way of "1's and 0's." The video is funny as hell, and the idea is exciting. These guys are trying to prove a point, and they do a great job. But again, what would life be like if you could just DL whatever you wanted or needed? This is where the argument lies, and many don't know where to draw the line.
For now, this song will get you thinking in a whole new way. Enjoy it, and...if you like it, go DL it~!

The song and the idea are great. You are right on where to draw the line and this is almost as debatable as Abortion because of the consequences involved. The Internet feels like our last form of real free speech while being able to maintain anonymity. Of course this allows for bad people but look at all the security we've put into airports and if bad people still want to do bad things it's going to happen. So yes maybe some change is needed but giving the GOV to much control is not the answer I want to see.
