Convention In Haiku: Free (Bleacher) Tickets

Convention In Haiku: Free (Bleacher) Tickets

You can book your room
I don't think they'll go too fast
But you get free stuff

The location is new, but like the convention logo,  the deal is pretty much the same as last year:

The Cubs have put together a new, exclusive hotel package for fans at the 28th Annual Cubs Convention! For a limited time only, you can book a two-night stay at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers and receive these incredible benefits:

- Two nights at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in the heart of downtown Chicago

- Two Convention passes

- An authentic, limited-edition autographed photo of young Cubs stars Anthony Rizzo & Brett Jackson

- Two Budweiser Bleacher tickets to an April Cubs game

You can actually buy up to 4 convention passes for $20 each in addition to the room rate. A room with four passes will set you back about $500.

But you get an autographed picture! And free bleacher tickets ... for an April (read: freezing cold) Cubs game. I'm sure the Cubs are including those in the Convention package because they'll have more trouble selling them than you will giving them away.

Of course, convention goers could get lucky and end up in the bleachers (er ... the Budweiser Bleachers) on a warm, sunny April afternoon.

Wouldn't that be nice?
