Top Cubs GM Candidates IF Cubs don't retain Jim Hendry

Ricketts has made it clear he'd like to build through the farm and few have built a better farm system then the Rockies under Geivett.  He also helped build great farm systems in Montreal and Tampa.  There seems to be little doubt he could help the Cubs in that area, but does he have all the tools needed to be a GM?  Is that something you should take a gamble on when there are other more established, well-rounded candidates?
