The Cubs traveled 90 miles north to face their rivals the Milwaukee Brewers and former teammate Matt Garza. Garza was known for being a jovial teammate, constantly keeping the clubhouse light and cracking jokes. Well, tonight the joke was on the Cubs as Garza made good on his promise to “shove it up the Cubs... Read more »

(Note: Sorry about no Brunch today. I actually wrote it. but was unhappy with it’s incredibly negative tone. Wasn’t making the point I wanted to make. Gonna edit and re-work it till it’s something I like and something I think you’ll enjoy. Look for a “Tuesdays with Felzzy” this week…) The Cubs followed up their... Read more »

Don't they ever stop migrating? Cards 3 Cubs 2
The Cubs looked to make it two in a row against the Cardinals.  But starter Joe Kelly and the assortment of hard throwing relievers turned out to be too much of a challenge for the North Side 9. The Cardinals struck early against Carlos Villanueva. Carlos Beltran’s triple down the right field line scored lead... Read more »

Yo ho, and blow the man down. Cubs 4 Bucs 3 in 11 inn.

Carlos Villanueva made the start. But seeing as how he had been in the pen for two months, could only give the Cubs 4 innings of service.

Carlos Villanueva was making his first start since being inserted back into the rotation. Which meant the bullpen was going to be needed. Luckily for the Cubs, the Pirates... Read more »
