Yesterday we saw Jorge Soler's HR. Here's Albert Almora's first bomb.

  • So will you just add the Comcast Sports Net logo later?

  • In reply to North Side Irish:

Haha! No, they fixed it. They're Danny's videos so he's nice enough to send them over.

  • Ah!! He got switched out. No shame in getting switched for a Gretzky I guess.

  • In reply to Cubswin4harry:

None at all. Way to go out in style too.

Not as loud as Soler's, but still pure.

  • In reply to James Knott:

Not the same kind of power, but still pretty nice to see.

  • Off the scoreboard!

  • That looked like some pure power...wrong angle, but it seemed like he had to lean out and pull it back to LF to get that one out. Impressive for an 18 y/o in his first pro game.

  • In reply to Cameron Macpherson:

Nice observation. He's not even known for his power...yet. Looks like the potential is definitely there.

  • In reply to John Arguello:

He looks incredibly polished for an 18 year old out of high school. Everything about him looks measured, balanced, and focussed. Didn't look quite as quite down the line as I expected, but perhaps it was easy speed. Hard to tell with the framerate of the video (no offense to the guy who filmed it, love having the film supplied)

Right now I'm looking at an Almore/Soler/Jackson outfield with Sczcur as the super-sub.

  • In reply to Cameron Macpherson:

Also shot in wide screen and video here is cut.

  • In reply to Cameron Macpherson:

Send me cash and I will make sure I buy the best video camera on the market.

Enjoy the video without being "let me find something wrong with it guy."

  • In reply to Jimmy Nordon:

if I sent you money for a camera I would have high expectations haha maybe try and start something on kickstarter

  • John, when do you think soler and almora make it to Peoria? I live in Springfield and love going to chiefs games! It's a very nice single A stadium and great atmosphere! I recommend everyone taking a trip there especially if soler, almora, and Baez are on the team!

  • In reply to Joshnk24:

I love going to Peoria when I can as well. I'm hoping they're there by the end of the year at least. Not sure if Almora makes it until next year, but I think Soler has a shot.

  • Love the sound of the ball coming off the bat. Both he and Soler smacked the s*&# out of those. Thanks for the vids Danny.

  • In reply to Pura Vida:

Agreed, but Soler's seemed really loud. Both he and Baez really have a different sound when they connect.

  • Bring them up! LOL! ;)

Dang, really excited about the Cubs' future!

I can't wait to see him doing that in Wrigley.

  • Soler's sounded louder because there were only 3 in the stadium when he hit it. There were 6 when Almora hit his, and a couple of them were chubby.

  • In reply to h vaughn:

  • In reply to h vaughn:

HAHAHAHA!!! I noticed that as well.

  • In reply to h vaughn:

    lol good one

  • How far is it to left center there? It seems it was hit real far, but I couldn't real tell.

  • Thanks for the video Danny. Not hard to find a good seat. What stadium is that? Kid will be in the big leagues in three years.

  • Brewers Spring Training Facility. One of the worst areas in Phoenix.

  • John, is it my imagination or does that mound look lower then pro mounds? If that is the case, what are the specs thru MiLB levels.
